Halal certification is a primary requirement for Muslims when choosing food. This requirement is stated in Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 168 of the Quran, which commands Muslims to consume food that is halal and wholesome. Halal certification is assessed not only by the ingredients used but also by the entire production process, from processing and raw material use, transportation, to sales and consumption methods. In Indonesia, the development of halal products continues to grow rapidly in line with the large Muslim population. However, public understanding of halal certification, particularly for food and beverage products, remains relatively low. Based on this situation, this study examines the impact of halal certification on the marketing strategies of MSMEs in the food sector. This research seeks to answer two main questions: first, to what extent do MSMEs understand the importance of halal certification? and second, does the existence of halal certification influence consumer purchasing interest? The study used a library method, reviewing a variety of relevant literature, and an empirical approach to obtain data directly from the public.

Strengthening the family economy through the development of productive household-based businesses is an important strategy in supporting sustainable rural community development. This approach is considered effective because it utilizes the potential of local resources and involves the active role of family members, especially housewives, in economic activities. One form of business that is relatively easy to implement is the production of hygienic laundry soap, considering the simple manufacturing process, affordable production costs, and has a relatively stable level of market need and demand. These conditions make this business an opportunity to be developed as a productive household economic activity. This study aims to analyze the implementation of home-based hygienic laundry soap production training and examine its impact on improving the skills and economic independence of housewives in Jambur Village, Padang Matinggi . The focus of the study is directed at the training process, the level of understanding of participants, and changes in attitudes and economic capabilities after participating in the activity. The approach used in this study is a descriptive qualitative method, which allows researchers to obtain an in-depth picture of the program implementation and participants' experiences. Data collection techniques are carried out through direct observation, interviews with participants and related parties, and documentation of activities to support research data. The research results show that the training on making hygienic laundry soap had a positive impact on improving the knowledge and skills of housewives in producing safe, hygienic, and marketable soap. Participants not only understood the production stages but also learned how to make soap independently. Furthermore, the training fostered entrepreneurial motivation and awareness of home-based business opportunities, thereby opening up opportunities to increase family income. Therefore, this training program significantly contributes to women's empowerment and strengthening family economies at the village level through the development of productive, home-based businesses.

This study examines the relationship between risk disclosure levels and profitability in transportation companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2022–2024 period. The transportation industry is characterized by high exposure to operational, financial, regulatory, and market-related risks, which necessitates transparent and comprehensive communication regarding potential threats to business sustainability and long-term performance. Using a quantitative correlational approach, this study measures the level of risk disclosure through systematic content analysis of companies’ annual reports, while profitability is evaluated using the Return on Assets (ROA) indicator. The analysis is conducted to identify the extent to which transparent risk reporting contributes to improved financial outcomes. The findings indicate a significant positive relationship between risk disclosure and profitability, suggesting that companies providing more comprehensive and detailed risk information tend to achieve higher financial performance. Furthermore, the results demonstrate that transparency plays a crucial role in enhancing investor confidence, strengthening corporate governance, and supporting sustainable business practices, particularly in high-risk sectors such as transportation.

The game industry in Indonesia has shown significant growth in recent years, along with the increasing public interest in high-quality video games. AAA (triple-A) games such as Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA VI) rely heavily on trailers as their primary promotional tool to introduce the game’s atmosphere, visual quality, and complex storytelling. GTA is widely recognized as a pioneer in realistic visuals, deep narratives, and social criticism delivered through iconic storytelling, making it highly appealing to potential consumers. This study aims to examine the influence of visual narrative in the GTA VI trailer on consumers’ purchase intention within the Indonesian GTA V Roleplay Facebook community. The theoretical framework is based on Marketing Communication Theory, Visual Narrative Theory with the dimensions of clarity, realism, dynamism, and continuity, as well as Purchase Intention Theory consisting of transactional, referential, preferential, and exploratory intentions. A quantitative approach was employed using a survey method, with questionnaires as the data collection instrument. The sample was selected using simple random sampling and calculated using the Slovin formula with a 5% margin of error, resulting in 92 respondents. The results indicate that the visual narrative variable achieved the highest mean score in the realism dimension (3.29), while purchase intention recorded the highest mean score in the transactional intention dimension (3.79). Simple linear regression analysis reveals that visual narrative has a significant influence on purchase intention, with a correlation coefficient (R) of 0.918. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.843 indicates that 84.3% of purchase intention is influenced by visual narrative, while the remaining 15.7% is affected by other factors beyond this study.

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) managed by PKK women in Rakit District, Banjarnegara Regency, still face limitations in utilizing digital technology, particularly in supporting marketing and business communication activities. Low digital literacy and limited assistance have become major challenges in optimizing the role of PKK in community economic empowerment. This community service program aims to enhance the digital literacy of PKK women’s MSMEs through training and assistance in using ChatGPT as a business marketing support tool. The methods employed include pre-test, material presentation using PowerPoint, hands-on practice in using ChatGPT, and post-test as an evaluation tool. The results indicate an improvement in participants’ understanding after the training, as reflected by higher post-test scores compared to pre-test scores among all participants. Furthermore, participants were able to produce simple product descriptions and promotional content relevant to their respective businesses. These findings suggest that ChatGPT can serve as a practical solution to improve digital literacy and support MSME management and marketing at the local level.

Digital transformation has transformed the tourism promotion landscape through social media, travel marketplaces, and user-experience-based content. Visual, interactive, and rapidly disseminating digital information shapes destination images and influences traveler decisions. However, the lack of digital promotion standards allows for misleading promotional practices, visual manipulation, false testimonials, and exaggerated claims that have the potential to harm tourism consumers. This study aims to analyze the synchronization between the Electronic Information and Transactions Law (UU ITE) and the Tourism Law in overseeing digital tourism promotion. This study uses a normative juridical method with a legislative approach and a literature review of academic documents and related news. The research findings show that while both laws share the same goal of ensuring accurate and non-misleading information, neither provides specific technical standards for digital promotion. The ITE Law is general and does not specifically regulate tourism promotion, while the Tourism Law was drafted before social media became a primary tool for destination marketing. This has resulted in regulatory gaps and fragmented authority between the Ministry of Communication and Informatics, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, BPKN, and BPSK. This research recommends the establishment of derivative regulations related to digital promotion, ethical content standards, advertising transparency, and an integrated cross-agency oversight mechanism to protect tourism consumers in the digital space.

Traditional snack micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia face increasing market competition and rapidly changing consumer preferences, particularly among younger consumers seeking innovative and symbolic food experiences. This community engagement study aims to strengthen the profitability and sustainability of traditional snack MSMEs by integrating local flavor innovation with simple business governance practices. Using a participatory action research approach under the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program in Palangka Raya, this study involved co-creation between students and local entrepreneurs in product development, production standardization, and basic financial management. Qualitative data were collected through participatory observation and stakeholder discussions, while quantitative data were obtained from sales records and simple financial reports. The results demonstrate that local flavor-based innovation, combined with standardized operating procedures and cost control mechanisms, improved product differentiation, operational efficiency, and financial performance. The intervention generated a positive net profit and strengthened the partner’s capacity for independent business management. This study contributes to the literature by positioning traditional food MSMEs as sites of cultural innovation and micro-governance, while supporting Sustainable Development Goals related to inclusive economic growth, cultural preservation, and responsible production.

Using a systematic literature review approach to various previously published studies, this research investigates the influence of consumer nationalism on the intention to purchase domestic products. The purpose of this study is to find patterns of results, influencing components, and the impact of consumer nationalism on their behavior when purchasing local products. Data were collected from articles in relevant national and international journals, particularly those discussing ideas about consumer nationalism, consumer ethnocentrism, and factors determining purchase intention. The findings of the study indicate that consumer nationalism has a positive and significant effect on consumers' intention to purchase domestic goods. A number of variables, including product quality perceptions, price sensitivity, cosmopolitanism levels, and consumer demographics, especially Generation Z, who tend to be involved in the digital world, influence this effect. In addition, this study found that customer awareness, attitudes, and preferences towards local products are influenced by social media and digital campaigns such as the Bangga Buatan Indonesia (Proudly Made in Indonesia) program. The results of this study provide strategic benefits for businesses when they develop marketing plans based on the value of nationalism. These results can also be used as a reference for public policies aimed at increasing consumption and competitiveness of domestic products through the implementation of such policies.

This study is grounded in the Marketing Mix Theory (4P) proposed by McCarthy, which explains that marketing performance is influenced by the effective integration of product, price, place, and promotion strategies. The purpose of this study is to analyze and empirically examine the effect of the 4P marketing mix—product strategy, pricing strategy, place strategy, and promotion strategy—on increasing sales of mobile coffee businesses using electric bicycle carts in Semarang City. A quantitative research approach was employed using an accidental sampling technique, with respondents consisting of consumers who met the research criteria and were encountered directly in the field. Primary data were collected through questionnaire distribution, resulting in 85 valid respondents. Data analysis was conducted using SPSS version 26, including validity tests, reliability tests, and classical assumption tests (normality, multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity). Hypothesis testing was performed using multiple linear regression analysis, partial tests (t-test), simultaneous tests (F-test), and the coefficient of determination (R²). The results indicate that product strategy and pricing strategy have a positive and significant effect on increasing mobile coffee sales. Place strategy also shows a significant influence on sales performance, highlighting the importance of mobility and strategic selling locations. Furthermore, promotion strategy has a positive and significant effect on sales increase. Simultaneously, the F-test results confirm that product, price, place, and promotion strategies collectively have a significant effect on increasing mobile coffee sales using electric bicycle carts in Semarang City. These findings support the applicability of the Marketing Mix Theory (4P) in explaining sales performance in mobile and small-scale coffee businesses.

This study examines the influence of e-commerce developments on the consumption patterns of Generation Z in Indonesia, the first generation to grow up in the digital era with widespread access to technology, the internet, and social media. Using a literature review method and a qualitative descriptive approach, this study analyzes various factors influencing Gen Z's consumption behavior through e-commerce platforms such as Shopee, Tokopedia, and TikTok Shop. The findings indicate that easy access, attractive promotions such as flash sales, and interactions through social media encourage impulsive consumer behavior. However, e-commerce also has a positive impact in the form of opportunities for the development of digital MSMEs that empower the younger generation economically. Furthermore, the COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated the adoption of online shopping, changing consumption patterns and opening new opportunities for MSMEs. The main challenge faced is the risk of impulsive buying, which can lead to financial and mental health problems. Therefore, financial literacy education and digital marketing regulations are essential to shaping healthy and sustainable consumption patterns for Generation Z. This study provides insights for the government, business actors, and the public in optimizing the benefits of e-commerce while minimizing its negative impacts.

This research aims to compare modern international trade theories from conventional and Islamic economic perspectives. The technique used is a literature review through the analysis of sources from journals, books, and related research. The findings of this research indicate that international trade theory in the conventional perspective prioritizes efficiency, specialization, and increased profits through free market mechanisms, such as the theory of absolute advantage, comparative advantage, the H-O factor proportion, and the theory of large-scale economies. However, this approach often overlooks moral aspects, distributional justice, and the risk of exploitation. On the other hand, the Islamic perspective views trade as a muamalah activity based on justice, trustworthiness (amanah), the prohibition of riba (interest), gharar (uncertainty), and maisir (gambling), as well as the objectives of maqasid sharia (the objectives of Sharia). Both views recognize the importance of trade for economic growth but differ in their basic values and ethics. In today's era of globalization and digitalization, the importance of integrating Islamic values into international trade is increasingly understood. This aims to build a more just, sustainable, and inclusive trading system. This research emphasizes the need to apply Sharia principles in contemporary trade practices, including the application of Islamic financial instruments, the development of halal e-commerce platforms, and ethical oversight within global supply chains. In this way, it is hoped that international trade can provide broader benefits to all of humanity, in accordance with the principles of justice and welfare in Islam. The interconnectedness of both approaches in the digital context demonstrates the need to unite Islamic moral values with changes in today's global trade.

The rise of online gambling has become an urgent social issue among South Tangerang adults, with Indonesia occupying the highest position as an online gambling user globally. This qualitative case study aims to explore the factors that cause adult involvement in online gambling, the recovery process of individuals experiencing addiction, and the role of local stakeholders in efforts to overcome it. The findings of the study revealed five main factors, namely the influence of friendships, situational pressure due to aggressive marketing, early winning experiences, misperceptions of winning strategies, and overconfidence in personal abilities. Recovery efforts undertaken by individuals include transformation of mindset, restriction of negative associations, elimination of access to online gambling platforms, increased spiritual engagement, and participation in productive activities. Meanwhile, stakeholders play a role through community education, collaboration with religious and community leaders, public awareness campaigns, and the provision of family counseling. However, this study found that there is no sustainable structured rehabilitation program. Therefore, this study recommends the development of comprehensive social intervention strategies involving professional psychological support and stronger enforcement of regulations to effectively address online gambling addiction.

This study analyzes the competitive advantage of sharia gold investment at Pegadaian Syariah, Blauran Branch, Surabaya, amidst competition from Bank Syariah Indonesia and sharia fintech. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, primary data was obtained through semi-structured interviews with Branch Managers, marketing staff, and customers, while secondary data came from Pegadaian reports, OJK publications, and the World Gold Council. The analysis employed the SWOT framework and Porter's Five Forces. The results show that Pegadaian Syariah's competitive advantage stems from public trust in its state-owned enterprise (BUMN) status, compliance with sharia principles, certified Galeri24 products, and product flexibility starting from IDR 10,000 supported by the PSDS digital platform. There is a significant opportunity from the 135% year-on-year surge in gold demand, but it faces the threat of intense competition and high buyer bargaining power. Competitive advantage strategies are implemented through digital service differentiation, an inclusive market focus, and cost efficiency. The study recommends intensifying PSDS education, strengthening gold investment literacy, and optimizing pricing to increase competitiveness.

The shift in economic structure from a reliance on traditional agriculture to modern industrialization has yielded various competitive advantages for a region. The presence of leading sectors at the local level is a strong indicator of increased added value and high productivity, fueled by a healthy competitive climate among business actors. This phenomenon is closely related to the characteristics of the industrial sector, which possesses very strong forward and backward linkages, making it a primary driver of national economic growth. Progress in the manufacturing sector is not merely a measure of economic success but also serves as a driver of fiscal stability through massive employment absorption and increased foreign exchange earnings. Industrial growth is considered highly strategic because it holds significant potential for future expansion through technological innovation and production efficiency. This condition makes industrial cluster development an instrument for driving sustainable economic growth in Indonesia, while simultaneously strengthening the competitiveness of local products in the global market through the integration of a more organized production system.
