This study aims to analyze the influence of Work Discipline and Organizational Culture on Employee Performance at PT. BYD Arista Elektrika Pondok Indah. Employee performance is a key determinant of organizational success, and understanding the internal factors that shape it is essential for effective management. The research employs a quantitative approach, with data collected through questionnaires distributed to 62 respondents representing employees of the company. The data were processed and analyzed using SPSS 27, applying both partial (t-test) and simultaneous (F-test) statistical analyses to examine the significance of the relationships among variables. The results demonstrate that Work Discipline has a positive and significant effect on Employee Performance, emphasizing that adherence to rules, punctuality, and consistent task completion contribute substantially to better performance outcomes. Likewise, Organizational Culture also exerts a positive and significant effect, indicating that shared values, norms, and behavioral patterns within the organization play an important role in shaping employee attitudes and productivity. Furthermore, the F-test findings confirm that both Work Discipline and Organizational Culture, when considered together, significantly influence Employee Performance. The coefficient of determination (R²) is 0.631, meaning that 63.1% of the variance in employee performance can be explained by these two variables, while the remaining 36.9% is attributed to other factors beyond the scope of this study. Specifically, Work Discipline contributes 57.8% and Organizational Culture contributes 51.4% to employee performance. These findings underscore the strategic importance of instilling strong work discipline while simultaneously fostering a supportive and cohesive organizational culture. The practical implication for management is the necessity to design policies and initiatives that not only enforce discipline but also build a positive work environment that motivates employees. Strengthening these aspects is expected to enhance overall productivity, improve organizational outcomes, and create a sustainable competitive advantage for the company.

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of using Methylene Blue stain in the microscopic observation of frog skin cell structures. Cell staining is an essential technique in histological studies, as it enhances the visibility of cellular components that are otherwise difficult to observe without contrast. Methylene Blue is known to have a high affinity for acidic components within the cell nucleus, thus providing a clearer depiction of nuclear and cell membrane structures. This research employed a descriptive experimental method by preparing frog skin tissue samples stained with Methylene Blue and observing them under a light microscope. The results indicated that Methylene Blue staining produced high contrast, allowing for the identification of hexagonal-shaped cells and dark, centralized nuclei. The obtained microscopic images revealed a uniform distribution of cells with clearly observable morphological structures. Therefore, Methylene Blue is proven to be effective in enhancing the microscopic visualization of epithelial tissue in frog skin and is recommended for use in both educational and basic biological research contexts.

This study aims to analyze how socially constructed beauty standards shaped by media, popular culture, and the surrounding environment affect the social cognition of university students in evaluating peers who deviate from mainstream beauty norms. Within the campus environment, students often bring visual biases and prejudices toward others based solely on physical appearance, such as skin tone, body shape, and fashion style. This study adopts a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with four students from the State Islamic University of North Sumatra (UINSU) with diverse backgrounds. The results show that most students initially form judgments based on social schemas influenced by social media, past experiences, and peer environments. However, some participants demonstrated a shift in perspective after engaging in personal reflection, studying social psychology, and experiencing more diverse social interactions. They began to exhibit more empathetic attitudes and fairer judgments. This study highlights the importance of higher education in fostering critical awareness and promoting inclusive values and social sensitivity within academic environments.

In an era marked by complex global threats and the intensification of visual media, contemporary security studies must expand their understanding of securitization beyond linguistic speech acts to include visual dimensions. This article examines how visual narratives shape global threat perceptions through aesthetics that operate performatively and emotionally. Using a qualitative approach and visual discourse analysis, this study demonstrates that images, symbols, and visual representations in media play a significant role in constructing issues such as terrorism, migration, pandemics, and climate crises as existential threats. Visuals not only convey information but also activate emotions such as fear, empathy, and urgency, which in turn influence security policies. However, the findings also highlight the need for caution against the manipulative potential of visuals that may reinforce stereotypes and distort reality. Therefore, this article emphasizes the importance of fostering visual literacy and adopting ethical approaches in global security communication.

This study examines the portrayal of existentialist principles and characterization in Final Destination 5 (2011), directed by Steven Quale. The research aims to identify the methods of characterization used for the five main characters and explore how Sartrean existentialism is reflected in their struggles. Using a qualitative approach, the study applies Kenney’s method of characterization and Sartre’s existentialist framework to analyze key scenes, dialogues, and character interactions. Data was collected through repeated viewings of the film, with critical moments transcribed and categorized based on characterization methods and existential principles. The findings reveal that Final Destination 5 employs a mixed method, with the dramatic method being the most dominant, supplemented by character on other characters and contextual methods to develop psychologically complex main characters. Existentialist principles emerge strongly, particularly the idea that "existence precedes essence," as characters are stripped of predefined roles and forced to define themselves through desperate actions. The burden of freedom and responsibility is evident in moral dilemmas, while the confrontation between anguish and authenticity shapes their responses to impending death. Sam’s journey from fear to acceptance exemplifies Sartrean authenticity, whereas Nathan’s ethical crisis highlights the paradox of human freedom.

Marriage is a universal social institution, yet its implementation is profoundly shaped by distinctive local cultural values. One such cultural manifestation is the Merari’ tradition practiced by the indigenous Sasak community in Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara. This tradition refers to the practice of "elopement," which forms an integral part of customary rituals uniting two individuals in marital bonds. This study aims to explore in depth the fundamental reasons why the Sasak people continue to uphold the Merari’ tradition amidst the tides of modernization and the bureaucratization of national marriage law. It also seeks to describe the procedural and normative structure of the Merari’ marriage process from the perspective of customary law. Furthermore, this research investigates the types of customary sanctions imposed when individuals violate the traditional norms of marriage. This study uses a socio-legal approach, which not only examines written legal norms (positive law) but also considers how these norms are applied and function within society, particularly through the practice of Merari’ in the Sasak community. The findings show that the Merari’ tradition is not merely a romanticized relic of the past, but a form of cultural resistance against the dominance of formal law, which is often perceived as inadequate in accommodating local values. The Merari’ process follows a clearly defined sequence—starting from mutual agreement between the couple, the act of elopement, reporting to customary leaders, and culminating in the nyelabar ceremony, which serves as the social ratification of the marriage. In cases of violation or deviation from these customary norms, community elders may impose sanctions such as traditional fines (material penalties), social exclusion, or prohibition from participating in customary events. Based on the analysis, it is concluded that the Merari’ tradition holds legal legitimacy within the framework of customary law, as it is carried out on the basis of social consensus, noble values, and binding communal norms. Its persistence illustrates a dynamic relationship between state law and customary law, wherein both systems can coexist in parallel, provided there is mutual recognition and space for dialogue. Thus, there is an urgent need for an integrative legal approach in the formulation of national legal policies—an approach that is not only normative, but also contextual and responsive to the legal pluralism present in Indonesian society.

This study aims to explore consumer perceptions regarding transaction security on digital marketplaces and to evaluate the impact of community-based educational interventions. A descriptive qualitative method was employed, involving in-depth interviews with ten active marketplace users in Tasikmalaya City. The findings revealed that consumers’ sense of security is shaped by personal experience, understanding of platform security features, and digital literacy. Prior to the intervention, most participants expressed high concern over data breaches and fraud, often opting for cash-on-delivery (COD) as a form of protection. Following a series of community education sessions—comprised of discussions and safe transaction simulations—significant changes were observed in consumer attitudes and behavior. Participants became more aware of the importance of verifying sellers, reading reviews, and using secure payment methods. The study concludes that localized community education effectively enhances awareness and trust among consumers, especially in areas where digital literacy remains limited.

The development of the era has influenced children's play patterns, who are now more familiar with digital games than traditional games. In fact, traditional games have educational and cultural values that are important for the development of children's gross motor skills and psychomotor skills. This study uses a literature study method by analyzing 15 relevant articles to examine the contribution of traditional games to early childhood development. The results of the study show that traditional games such as catapults, jump rope, and gobak sodor can improve children's coordination, balance, and social skills through interaction and cooperation. This game not only strengthens large muscles, but also shapes children's character holistically, including empathy, responsibility, and decision making. Therefore, it is important for parents and educators to preserve and integrate traditional games in learning activities as a means of stimulating children's overall development.

This study aims to examine how the narrative of “lelaki tidak bercerita” is reproduced and internalized by young men through their personal experiences in family, friendship, and social media. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, the research involved four male students from Pendidikan Sosiologi, Universitas Negeri Jakarta as key informants. The findings show that hegemonic masculinity shapes men to suppress emotional expression from an early age, mainly through unspoken family norms and socially unsupportive relationships. While friendships and social media sometimes offer more fluid spaces, dominant narratives still restrict men’s vulnerability. Social media acts as a space for passive emotional validation, yet often reinforces old stereotypes. The impact of this construction is evident in hidden psychological burdens, emotional distraction, and indirect coping strategies. This study highlights the importance of creating inclusive and supportive social spaces where men can express emotions without stigma. By critically understanding the dynamics of hegemonic masculinity, society is encouraged to foster more empathetic and equitable social relations.

This study aims to examine the role of the traditional Ponti game in fostering values of togetherness in early childhood at PAUD Kiddi Care Gorontalo. The Ponti game is a typical Gorontalo game that contains educational values such as honesty, cooperation, discipline, sportsmanship, and tolerance. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through direct observation, semi-structured interviews with teachers and principals, and documentation of children's activities while playing. The results of the observations showed that children showed increased social skills, the ability to work together, and the development of positive attitudes such as honesty and sportsmanship during the game. However, several challenges were also identified, including children's limited understanding of the game's rules, fear of losing, and inadequate play facilities, which hindered the optimal implementation of activities. Interviews with teachers and principals revealed that the Ponti game plays a major role in shaping children's social character and strengthening local cultural identity. However, intensive guidance, emotional habituation, and support facilities are needed to maximize the benefits of this game. These findings suggest that the traditional Ponti game is not only an effective medium of entertainment but also a fun and contextual learning tool that can shape children's character as a whole. Therefore, Ponti games need to be integrated consistently into early childhood learning activities and supported by cultural preservation programs and relevant education policies.

The COVID-19 pandemic triggered a major transformation in the education system, bringing both opportunities and challenges due to the unfamiliar nature of remote learning. This study aims to explore how online English instruction has been implemented in public senior high schools across Bali, particularly by examining its strengths, limitations, potential benefits, and inherent risks. Employing a qualitative research design, the study involved four English teachers from four different public high schools. Data collection methods included literature analysis, in-depth interviews, and classroom observations.. The study found that online English instruction was shaped by the English for Specific Purposes (ESP) approach, with a particular emphasis on content relevant to the tourism and hospitality sectors. A variety of platforms—such as Zoom, WhatsApp, and other digital tools—were employed to deliver instruction. One of the key advantages identified was the flexibility in time and location, which allowed both students and teachers to access learning materials anytime and anywhere. Furthermore, the availability of diverse digital tools enabled teachers to creatively adapt their teaching strategies. Nonetheless, the implementation also encountered significant barriers, including inconsistent internet access and a lack of adequate digital infrastructure. The study also highlighted opportunities arising from increasing student digital literacy and the expanding use of online learning platforms, which fostered more interactive and engaging learning environments. However, several challenges remained, including low awareness among parents and varying levels of digital competence among educators, which affected the overall effectiveness of the program. The findings underscore the urgent need for sustained teacher training and institutional
