Interfaith marriage is a complex and sensitive issue in Indonesia, presenting a conflict between positive law and religious values. Article 28 B of the 1945 Constitution guarantees freedom of religion, but its implementation is constrained by unclear regulations and different interpretations. Islamic law, as a source of law, provides a unique view on interfaith marriage, emphasizing individual rights and the principle of justice. To resolve this conflict, a holistic approach that integrates positive law and Islamic law is needed, as well as concrete steps such as the establishment of clear regulations, improvement of public understanding, capacity of legal officials, individual protection systems, interfaith dialogue, interfaith cooperation, and active community participation. Thus, it is expected to create a harmonious, inclusive and equitable marriage environment.

The study of dialogue in the context of pluralism of religions (multi-religious), which is also linked to the implementation of missions or preaching in religions, is not a new issue in the study of theology and the study of religions; considered by the author to be important to continue to study. The reason why dialogue linked to mission is being discussed at this time is firstly, dialogue that assumes acceptance between fellow religious believers displays the murky reality of harmonious relations between religious believers. Good dialogue to be developed by religious communities is dialogue of action and dialogue of life as a form of dialogue that is correlational and globally responsible. Second, Christian mission can be understood as an effort to lift humanity from its downturned reality.

This research analyzes the role of priests in social dialogue related to the implementation of the Public Housing Savings Program (TAPERA) in Riam Batang Parish and its impact on the lives of the people. TAPERA, as an Indonesian government initiative, aims to facilitate livable house ownership for low-income people through savings and financing schemes. In Riam Batang Parish, priests not only function as spiritual leaders, but also as facilitators of social dialogue and agents of change. This research uses a qualitative approach with case studies, collecting data through in-depth interviews with priests and congregation. The research results show that imams play a key role in increasing people's awareness and understanding of TAPERA, as well as helping overcome bureaucratic and economic obstacles. The Imam plays an active role in providing education and outreach regarding this program, helping the congregation access its benefits, and being a mediator between the congregation and government agencies. However, several challenges such as lack of understanding of the people, complicated administrative processes, and economic limitations are still significant obstacles. This research highlights the importance of effective social dialogue built by priests in supporting the implementation of TAPERA, as well as the need for collaboration between the church, government and local communities to overcome these challenges. Thus, the role of the priest in a social and economic context becomes essential in improving the welfare of the people and achieving the goals of a more inclusive and sustainable public housing program.
