Culture is an integral part of human life that cannot be separated from daily activities. As cultured beings, human beings have a responsibility to preserve cultural heritage so that it is still understood, lived and understood by the next generation. Baobolak village, which is located in Nagawutung District, Lembata Regency, is one of the areas with Lamaholot ethnic communities that are rich in various cultures, both in the form of object and intangible culture. However, with the Times and the flow of modernization, some local cultural values began to erode and potentially forgotten by the younger generation. In an effort to preserve the culture, an effective method is needed to maintain the existence and reintroduce local culture to the wider community. One of the methods considered relevant is through cultural documentation. This study aims to document the various forms of Culture found in the village of Baobolak, both in aspects of history, tradition, and social values of the local community. The methods used in this study include semi-structured interviews, field observations, and audiovisual documentation. The result of the research is a documentary film that comprehensively describes the cultural and historical life of Baobolak Village. To measure the success rate of the documentary product, researchers conducted a survey of the younger generation in the village. Based on the survey results, as many as 81% of 21 respondents stated that they understand and re-live the culture and history of Baobolak village after watching the documentary. Thus, cultural documentation through the medium of film has proven effective as a means of cultural preservation and education for the younger generation in the midst of increasingly rapid social change

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) plays a strategic role in shaping students’ character and developing their religious potential. However, religious learning often becomes less engaging if not presented creatively. The PAI Festival (Pentas PAI) in Karangharja Village, Pagelaran District, Cianjur Regency, was implemented to explore and foster students’ religious talents and interests through Islamic-themed competitions. This program applied the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach, focusing on mobilizing community religious assets such as Islamic teachers, preachers, and local religious institutions. The implementation consisted of five stages: discover, dream, design, define, and destiny. The results indicate that Pentas PAI effectively served as a medium for students to express their religious abilities, enhance enthusiasm for learning religion, and cultivate Islamic character values such as responsibility, sportsmanship, and confidence. Furthermore, the activity strengthened collaboration among schools, communities, and families in supporting religious education. By optimizing local assets and community participation, Pentas PAI successfully created an engaging and sustainable model of religious education at the village level.

This study examines the construction of reality and violations of broadcasting ethics in the Xpose Uncensored Trans7 program in 2025 which displays a negative image of pesantren and kiai. Using a descriptive qualitative approach with the framing analysis of Pan and Kosicki's model, this study reveals the existence of tendentious narrative and visual manipulation, thus giving the impression of harassment of religious symbols. The broadcasts are considered to violate the principles of balance and social responsibility as stipulated in the Broadcasting Code of Conduct and Broadcast Program Standards (P3SPS). The public reaction that emerged through the hashtag #BoikotTRANS7 reflects the increasing public awareness of the importance of ethics in broadcasting practices. This phenomenon shows that the media not only functions as a conveyor of information, but also has a moral responsibility in shaping public opinion in a fair and balanced manner. This study emphasizes the urgency of increasing media literacy and ethical sensitivity in the production of broadcast content, especially those related to the representation of religious groups. Thus, the results of this study are expected to be a reference for broadcasting institutions, media regulators, and the public in encouraging more ethical and responsible broadcasting practices in the digital era.

Student discipline is one of the key indicators of a school’s success in shaping character and creating a conducive learning environment. Discipline not only reflects compliance with school regulations but also demonstrates responsibility, honesty, orderliness, and self-control as part of character building. However, in practice, various disciplinary violations are still frequently found among students, such as lateness, failure to complete assignments, truancy, and noncompliance with school dress codes. These issues are also evident at SMA Kristen Palangka Raya, particularly among Grade XI students. Therefore, the role of the school principal as an educational leader is essential in implementing effective strategies to improve student discipline. This study aims to describe the role of the principal in enhancing student discipline among Grade XI students at SMA Kristen Palangka Raya. The research employed a qualitative descriptive method with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The participants included the principal, vice principal for student affairs, teachers, and students. The findings revealed that the principal performs several roles: (1) educator, by integrating discipline values through learning activities and character-building programs; (2) manager, by organizing, planning, and implementing school regulations; (3) supervisor, by monitoring and evaluating student discipline; (4) leader, by providing direction and exemplary behavior; and (5) motivator, by giving appreciation and educational sanctions. Challenges encountered include students’ low awareness of discipline and lack of parental involvement. To overcome these obstacles, the principal builds stronger communication with parents, enforces school rules consistently, and conducts continuous character development programs.

The globalization era presents considerable challenges to the development of Islamic identity among university students. Technological progress, intercultural interaction, and exposure to various ideologies significantly affect students’ values and moral orientations. This study aims to analyze the Aqidah Akhlak paradigm as a framework for reinforcing students’ Islamic identity within the global context. This research applies a qualitative method through library research by examining classical and contemporary Islamic educational literature as well as relevant scholarly works. The findings demonstrate that the Aqidah Akhlak paradigm, which combines solid theological belief (aqidah) with moral character development (akhlak), plays an essential role in cultivating spiritual strength, ethical consciousness, and social responsibility. The reinforcement of Islamic identity is not limited to religious rituals, but also includes the internalization of faith-based values and the consistent application of moral principles in academic and social environments. Therefore, a contextual and integrated approach to Aqidah Akhlak education is necessary to develop intellectually competent and ethically grounded Muslim students in the era of globalization.

This study aims to describe the characteristics of SMK Al-Azami students in emulating the morals of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) as part of character development based on Islamic values within vocational education. The background of this research lies in the urgency of character education that not only emphasizes academic competence and technical skills but also focuses on moral formation and professional ethics. This research employed a qualitative approach using a library research method by analyzing relevant classical and modern Islamic literature, supported by documentation of school activities. The results reveal that the moral values of the Prophet Muhammad have been well internalized in students’ daily behavior, which includes four core dimensions: Shidq (honesty), Amanah (trustworthiness), Istiqamah (discipline), and Rahmah (compassion). The value of Shidq is reflected in students’ honesty during vocational practice and in reporting work results; Amanah is demonstrated through responsibility for tools and group tasks; Istiqamah appears in punctuality, consistency, and work discipline; and Rahmah is shown through respectful, empathetic, and cooperative social interactions. The current education system is facing a crucial dilemma: the intensifying focus on cognitive achievement amidst the specific challenges faced by Generation Z. Junior high school students aged 12–15, who are digital natives, are at risk of reduced social interaction and mental health issues due to high screen time. Addressing this urgency, this study aims to describe the strategic role of dance arts education in shaping character and creativity, and to identify implementation solutions at SMP Negeri 1 Wonogiri. This descriptive qualitative study utilized 8 students active in dance as primary subjects, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that dance arts, through an embodied learning approach based on physical movement, is highly effective in cultivating character. Values such as discipline, which is transferred from the punctuality required in practice to general school life , collective responsibility , and self-confidence that overcomes social awkwardness, grew significantly. Furthermore, dance reinforces authentic cooperation and cultural appreciation. In terms of creativity, the activity encourages movement exploration, improvisation, and creative problem-solving. Psychologically, dance practice functions as a positive coping mechanism that effectively lowers adolescent stress levels. Although constraints exist, such as limited instructional time (80 minutes per week) , adaptive solutions like strengthening extracurricular activities and the peer tutoring system are being implemented. This research concludes that dance arts education is an essential and strategic medium for developing holistic competencies, including the 4Cs (Critical Thinking, Creativity, Collaboration, and Communication) and the Profil Pelajar Pancasila.
