This research is motivated by the fluctuation in income of areca nut farmers in Lagan Tengah Village, Geragai District, East Tanjung Jabung Regency, which has decreased in recent years. This condition is suspected to be caused by high production costs and unstable areca nut selling prices at the farm level. Therefore, this study aims to determine the effect of production costs and selling prices on areca nut farmer income in Lagan Tengah Village. This research used a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis. The study population was all 1,105 areca nut farmers in Lagan Tengah Village, while the sample size was 92 people, selected using simple random sampling based on the Slovin formula with a 10% margin of error. Data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis was performed using the classical assumption test, the t-test (partial), the F-test (simultaneous), and the coefficient of determination (R²) test. The results showed that production costs had a partial and significant negative effect on areca nut farmer income, while selling prices had a positive and significant effect on areca nut farmer income. Simultaneously, both variables—production costs and selling prices—have a significant impact on the income of areca nut farmers in Lagan Tengah Village. The coefficient of determination (R²) indicates that production costs and selling prices are able to explain variations in areca nut farmer income quite strongly. From these results, it can be concluded that improving production cost efficiency and stabilizing areca nut selling prices are important factors in increasing the income of areca nut farmers in Lagan Tengah Village. The local government and related institutions are expected to support farmers through subsidy policies, increased market access, and fostering farm management to optimize and sustain farmer income.

Urban development has resulted in an increase in impermeable surfaces, increasing the risk of runoff inundating the road network. This situation occurs in the drainage system on Jl. Letjend S. Parman, Jl. Emo Kurniaatmaja, and Jl. Pulau Banda, Pasirkareumbi Village, Subang Regency. This study aims to evaluate the hydraulic performance of existing channels and develop redesign guidelines to reduce the risk of local flooding. The methods used include hydrological analysis of daily maximum rainfall data from the Subang rainfall station, rainfall frequency analysis using the Generalized Extreme Value (GEV) distribution, Intensity-Duration-Frequency (IDF) curves, and hydrological and hydraulic simulations using the Storm Water Management Model (SWMM). Model parameters include sub catchment area, rainfall intensity, time of concentration, infiltration using the Curve Number method, channel dimensions, cross-sectional shape, channel material, and the Manning coefficient. The results indicate that the GEV distribution provides a good fit for determining design rainfall. Based on the typology of a metropolitan city and a catchment area of 26.04 ha, the modeling period is 2 to 5 years. The SWMM simulation results indicate that some channel segments have very high flow velocities, potentially causing scour, while other segments have very low velocities, potentially causing sedimentation. This confirms the need for evaluation and restructuring of channel dimensions and slopes to improve the hydraulic performance of road drainage and reduce localized flooding.

One of the most important factors influencing how well students learn is their motivation to learn. Teachers must actively manage students' psychological well-being, as low motivation to learn can lead to less-than-ideal learning outcomes. In addition to imparting knowledge, teachers can also act as motivators and facilitators, fostering an emotionally and psychologically supportive learning environment. Therefore, particularly in madrasah environments that prioritize spiritual values, teachers' psychological management techniques are crucial for enhancing students' motivation to learn. The purpose of this study was to examine various psychological management techniques used by madrasah instructors to enhance students' willingness to learn. A qualitative research approach with a literature review approach was used as the methodology. Information was gathered from various sources, including books, academic journals, and related documents on learning motivation and educational psychology management. Sweet corn is a high-value horticultural crop with steadily increasing demand for both fresh consumption and use as a raw material in the food industry. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of NPK 16-16-16 fertilizer on the growth and yield of sweet corn. The research was conducted at Sindangbarang Experimental Field, Faculty of Agriculture, IPB University from July to October 2025. This experiment used a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with a single factor, namely the dose of fertilizer application. Treatments were using fertilizer dosages of 0, 50, 0,75, 1,00, and 1,50 NPK 16-16-16, with a control treatment for comparison. During the vegetative phase, sweet corn exhibited similar growth responses across all fertilization levels relative to the control. However, all fertilizer doses significantly improved stover weight, cob weight with and without husk, cob length, cob diameter, yield per plot, and overall productivity compared to the control. The application of NPK 16-16-16 fertilizer at the recommended (1.0) rate achieved the highest relative agronomic effectiveness (103.11%), corresponding to a 1.03-fold yield increase over the control and outperforming the comparison treatment. Application of NPK 16-16-16 at the 1.0 recommended dose is suggested as the most efficient fertilization strategy for sweet corn production, as it maximizes yield and productivity without unnecessary increases in fertilizer input.

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Sustainable Food Crop Land (LP2B) management policy in Madiun Regency based on Regional Regulation Number 3 of 2020 and identify factors inhibiting its implementation, as well as formulate alternative solutions to strengthen the policy in supporting agricultural land sustainability and regional food security. This study uses an empirical legal method (empirical juridical) with a qualitative descriptive approach. Primary data were obtained through in-depth interviews with the Department of Agriculture, and farmers, as well as field observations, while secondary data were obtained through a study of laws and regulations and policy documents. The analysis was conducted by examining aspects of communication, resources, disposition, and bureaucratic structure in policy implementation, using triangulation techniques to ensure data validity. The results show that LP2B implementation is not optimal. The main obstacles include farmers' low understanding of legal provisions, limited human resources and budget, weak cross-sectoral coordination, and economic pressures and high land sales prices. In addition, the national target of fulfilling 87% of Raw Paddy Land adds to the complexity of implementation at the regional level. Strengthening implementation requires improving legal communication, strengthening institutional capacity, synchronizing policies with spatial planning, and a participatory approach that actively involves farmers.

The governance of natural resources (NR) in Indonesia remains marked by structural inequalities that favor large corporations, while indigenous and local communities are marginalized from access, management rights, and equitable benefit-sharing. Although the Constitution and several laws mandate social justice and ecological sustainability, NR governance practices tend to focus on exploitation and investment acceleration, sacrificing environmental protection and meaningful public participation. This study employs a normative juridical approach to analyze weaknesses in sectoral regulations, overlapping authorities, and their implications for the rights of local communities. Drawing on Satjipto Rahardjo’s progressive justice theory, it offers a reformulation of the concept of “controlled by the state” in Article 33 of the 1945 Constitution as a trustee mandate, rather than a monopoly, placing humans, the environment, and justice as the primary orientation. The proposed legal transformation strategies include revising NR regulations, implementing the Free, Prior, and Informed Consent (FPIC) principle, strengthening community-based management models, recognizing the rights of nature, and establishing participatory oversight mechanisms. This approach is expected to dismantle unequal power relations and direct NR governance toward ecological sustainability, community empowerment, and intergenerational benefit equity.
