This study aims to analyze the role of teachers’ personality competence in shaping students’ learning environments through a literature review approach. Personality competence reflects teachers’ stable, mature, and authoritative character, enabling them to serve as role models for students and influencing the creation of a conducive learning environment both psychologically and socially. The method used is a literature review by analyzing various sources such as books, academic journals, and relevant official documents. The results show that teachers with positive personality traits are able to build harmonious relationships, create a comfortable classroom atmosphere, and enhance students’ learning motivation. Therefore, teachers’ personality competence is an important factor in supporting the quality of the learning environment and the success of the learning process. In addition, findings from various studies indicate that personality competence not only affects classroom interactions but also contributes to the development of students’ attitudes, discipline, and emotional stability. Teachers who demonstrate consistency, empathy, and integrity tend to foster a sense of trust and respect among students, which further strengthens classroom engagement. Moreover, a positive teacher personality helps reduce learning barriers such as anxiety, lack of confidence, and lack of participation in classroom activities. In the context of modern education, where student-centered learning is increasingly emphasized, teachers’ personality competence becomes even more essential in facilitating active learning and meaningful student involvement. Thus, strengthening teachers’ personality competence through training, reflective practice, and continuous professional development is crucial to improving overall educational quality and achieving optimal learning outcomes.

This study examines disaster management strategies in earthquake-prone countries, with a comparative focus on Japan and the Philippines as case studies for lessons applicable to public administration systems worldwide. Using a qualitative comparative analysis approach, the research evaluates institutional frameworks, policy instruments, community engagement mechanisms, and intergovernmental coordination systems deployed in both countries. Japan’s highly centralized yet locally adaptive Disaster Management Basic Act framework is contrasted with the Philippines’ decentralized National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (NDRRM) system. Findings reveal that effective disaster management hinges on five critical pillars: strong legal frameworks, inter-agency coordination, investment in early warning systems, community resilience programs, and post-disaster recovery governance. The study further identifies that public trust, administrative capacity, and fiscal decentralization significantly influence disaster response outcomes. Lessons drawn from both countries offer practical recommendations for developing nations seeking to strengthen their disaster governance architectures. This research contributes to the growing body of knowledge on comparative public administration and disaster risk reduction, underscoring the imperative of integrated, adaptive, and community-centered governance frameworks in seismically active regions.

The swift proliferation of short-video-centric social media, notably TikTok, has revolutionized the educational landscape by facilitating novel methods of knowledge production, dissemination, and interpretation. This phenomenon denotes a transition in media and signifies an epistemological transformation in educational practices within the digital age. This study seeks to analyze the representation and interpretation of knowledge in TikTok educational content using a qualitative methodology grounded in an interpretive case study framework. Data were gathered via digital participant observation, comprehensive interviews, and document analysis involving 12 participants, comprising educational content creators and active TikTok users in higher education settings. Thematic data analysis was performed utilizing a Multimodal Critical Discourse Analysis framework to elucidate the interplay among visual, verbal, and auditory components in the construction of meaning. The results show three main patterns: the conflict between quick understanding and deep knowledge, the importance of emotional multimodal experiences in learning, and the negotiation of knowledge authority in changing digital spaces. These results indicate that learning via TikTok encompasses not only cognitive aspects but also intricate emotional, aesthetic, and social dimensions. This study theoretically enhances multimodal discourse analysis by integrating users' subjective experiences, while practically informing the advancement of critical digital literacy and the design of social media-based learning. Moreover, this study facilitates additional investigation into algorithmic dynamics, digital identity, and the evolution of learning methodologies within platform-centric contexts.

This study examines eschatology within the framework of Catholic faith as a reflection of faith and hope of salvation, not merely as a depiction of the end times. The background highlights the need to avoid reducing eschatology to a sole event of judgment day, by emphasizing the close relationship between eschatology, Christology, and soteriology, as well as the role of faith in the daily life of Catholic believers. The aim of the study is to articulate eschatology as an integrative framework that connects faith, hope, love, sacraments, liturgy, and inculturation in the Church’s praxis, and to consolidate the active participation of the faithful in the Kingdom of God, which has been initiated but not yet completed. The research method is descriptive-analytical literature review, comparing the views of experts, the Church Magisterium, and contemporary liturgical and theological documents to construct a comprehensive theoretical framework. The main findings indicate that Catholic eschatology functions as a moral and spiritual engine: (1) it integrates the “already and not yet” in the experience of faith; (2) it links eschatological hope with the actions of love, justice, and social liberation; (3) it bridges private faith with sacramental practice and inculturation. Theological and pastoral implications include strengthening faith formation, participation in liturgy, and an imaginative response to present-day social and environmental challenges. This narrative affirms a living, inclusive, and relevant eschatology for the Church’s life of faith in the contemporary era.

Strengthening literacy in secondary education is essential in responding to the demands of 21st-century learning. Teachers play a crucial role in integrating literacy into classroom practices; however, their understanding and skills in implementing literacy-based learning are often still limited. This community service program aims to enhance teachers’ competencies in developing literacy-based instruction at State Senior High School 5 Purworejo through a participatory and sustainable training and mentoring approach. The program involved 30 teachers and was conducted in three stages: preparation and planning, implementation, and mentoring and evaluation. The results show a significant improvement in teachers’ understanding of literacy, with the average score increasing from 62.4 to 84.7. A total of 87% of teachers were able to design literacy-based lesson plans effectively, while 73% successfully implemented them in classroom practice. Positive impacts were also observed among students, who became more active in discussions and more confident in expressing their ideas. Qualitatively, the program revealed a shift in teachers’ perspectives, where literacy is no longer seen as an additional activity but as an integral part of meaningful learning that fosters critical and reflective thinking. Overall, this program not only improved teachers’ technical competencies but also strengthened their professional awareness in creating more meaningful learning experiences. The mentoring process played a key role in supporting this transformation by providing a reflective and supportive space for continuous learning and growth.

Islamic religious education at the Madrasah Diniyah level often relies on passive, one-directional teaching methods that reduce madrasah student engagement and long-term retention. This community service study aimed to improve the quality of Fiqh instruction at Madrasah Diniyah Al-Ishlah Kalirejo, Pasuruan, by implementing kinesthetic games, Small Group Discussion (SGD), and visual teaching aids within the framework of Kitab Mabadi’ Fiqhiyyah. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed through four participatory observation sessions, with visual documentation serving as primary data. The program was implemented in four thematic meetings covering funeral prayer procedures, tayammum, hajj simulation (tawaf), and najis classification. Findings indicate that kinesthetic games effectively reduced affective barriers and increased student focus, while the SGD model with a 1:8 mentor-to-student ratio enabled precise procedural correction for motor-based worship practices. The use of concrete teaching aids successfully transformed abstract Fiqh concepts into tangible, memorable knowledge. This study concludes that the integration of active learning methods, small-group mentoring, and visual media within traditional Islamic education settings can significantly enhance student engagement and comprehension. These findings offer a replicable pedagogical model for Madrasah Diniyah educators seeking to modernize instruction while preserving classical curriculum integrity.

The waste problem in Indonesia has now reached a critical stage and has become an increasingly serious environmental issue. The ever-increasing volume of waste is not being managed effectively, leading to various negative impacts, particularly environmental pollution. This study aims to examine the state of waste management in Indonesia and its impact on water pollution from the perspective of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The method used is descriptive qualitative research through a literature review utilizing various sources such as journals, official reports, and legislation. The results indicate that the majority of waste originates from household activities, while management practices remain rudimentary, such as the “collect-transport-dispose” method and open dumping. This situation leads to waste accumulation, which contributes to water pollution, deteriorating environmental quality, and increased health risks for the community. Furthermore, suboptimal waste management also poses a challenge in achieving sustainable development goals, particularly regarding responsible consumption and access to clean water and sanitation. Therefore, improved efforts are needed through the application of the reduce, reuse, recycle (3R) principles, increased public awareness, and the active role of the government and the private sector in providing a sustainable waste management system. With the right measures, it is hoped that the waste problem in Indonesia can be reduced and the environment preserved.

This study aims to analyze the representation of culture and myth in the film "KKN di Desa Penari" (Community Service in Dancer Village) using Jean Baudrillard's hyperreality perspective. This film's phenomenon is not merely entertainment but also demonstrates the blurring of the boundaries between reality and fiction in modern society. The method used is a literature study with a descriptive qualitative approach through a search of scientific sources from 2022–2025. The results show that the representation of culture and myth in film has undergone a transformation into simulacra, a form of representation that no longer reflects reality but instead replaces it. Mystical elements in film tend to be constructed as aesthetic and dramatic visual elements, thus shifting sacred meanings to mere entertainment. Furthermore, the incorporation of magical realism reinforces the experience of hyperreality, making it difficult for viewers to distinguish between fact and fiction. The role of mass media and social media also reinforces this process through the collective production and reproduction of meaning. This study also found a tendency towards stereotypical gender representation, particularly in the depiction of female characters. Thus, the media not only represents reality but also plays an active role in shaping and even replacing social reality in society.
