This study starts from the observation that Christian education is still often delivered in a one-way, top-down manner. As a result, learners are less actively engaged in understanding their faith and social lives. Paulo Freire’s ideas on critical education offer an approach that emphasizes dialogue, participation, and social change. This study aims to examine Christian educational theology through Freire’s perspective and to explore how his ideas can be applied in learning processes. A qualitative approach was used, employing library research methods—reading, note-taking, and analyzing written sources related to Freire’s thought and Christian educational theology. The findings indicate that Freire’s approach can shift education from teacher-centered to learner-centered. Learning becomes more dialogical, encouraging critical thinking and deeper understanding of reality. Christian education then focuses not only on knowledge of faith but also on character development and spiritual life. Consequently, Christian education should be developed to be more open, participatory, and dialogical through activities such as group discussions, open Q&A sessions, and faith reflection. This enables learners to grow in faith while developing stronger social awareness. Future research is recommended to study the direct application of Freire’s ideas in Christian educational institutions.

The dual role of women in family economics is a phenomenon shaped by the interplay of economic pressure and social construction within patriarchal society. This study aims to examine the dual role of women in family economics through Judith Butler's gender performativity perspective. The method used is a literature study with a descriptive qualitative data analysis approach, drawing on scientific sources published between 2020 and 2026. The findings indicate that women not only carry out domestic roles as housewives but are also actively involved in the public sphere to meet family economic needs. This condition gives rise to a double burden that affects physical exhaustion and psychological pressure. Within Butler's theoretical framework, the dual role is understood not as something natural, but as a product of social norms reproduced through repeated practices in everyday life. Nevertheless, women's participation in the public sphere has been shown to open spaces for increased independence and negotiation of gender relations within the family. This study underscores the importance of critical understanding of gender construction in order to achieve a fair and equal division of labor.

Environmental cleanliness is an important aspect in supporting the quality of life of the community, one of which is influenced by the availability of adequate waste management facilities. The problem faced by the community in Lewolaga Village, East Flores Regency is the limited waste disposal facilities so that the habit of littering still often occurs. This activity aims to provide trash bins and increase public awareness in maintaining environmental cleanliness. The implementation method includes the stages of observation, planning, implementation, socialization and handover. The activity took place in April 2026 with the local community. The results of the activity show that the presence of trash bins makes it easier for the community to manage waste and contributes to improving environmental cleanliness. In addition, counseling regarding the sorting of organic and non-organic waste can increase understanding and shape community behavior to be more orderly in disposing of waste. Overall, this program has a positive impact in creating a clean and healthy environment.

Waqf is one of the instruments of Islamic economics that holds great potential for improving community welfare and promoting sustainable socioeconomic development. However, this potential has not been fully realized due to low public participation in waqf. This situation indicates that messages and education regarding waqf have not been effectively communicated to the general public. This study aims to analyze how the distribution, promotion, and advertising of waqf messages are conducted to the public through a case study of the Indonesian Waqf Board in South Tangerang City. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with a constructivist paradigm. Data collection was conducted through interviews, observations, documentation, and literature review to obtain a comprehensive picture of the waqf communication strategies implemented. The results of the study indicate that the distribution of waqf messages is still limited to seminars, workshops, and incidental activities, resulting in uneven information reach. Waqf promotion has also not been conducted consistently and remains conventional, while the use of digital advertising and social media has not been maximized. The main obstacles faced include low public literacy regarding waqf, a lack of professionalism among waqf administrators, and minimal public trust in waqf management. This study concludes that the development of waqf requires modern communication strategies through the digitization of messages, consistent promotion, increased institutional transparency, and intensive use of social media in order to significantly increase public participation in waqf.

Public facilities play an important role in supporting community activities, especially in sports and social interaction. However, inadequate maintenance can reduce their functionality and user comfort. This study aims to improve the function of public facilities through the revitalization of a badminton court area at the Technical Implementation Unit for Road and Bridge Management in Surabaya, making it more feasible, safe, and comfortable for use. The study employs a quantitative descriptive approach combined with Participatory Action Research (PAR), with data collected through direct observation of facility conditions before and after revitalization. The results show a significant improvement in the quality of infrastructure, both in physical condition and environmental comfort. The revitalized court supports better sports activities and increases user participation. These findings indicate that revitalization not only enhances facility quality but also promotes greater utilization, improved social interaction, and a more productive environment, demonstrating its effectiveness in optimizing public facility functions.

Digital literacy is an essential competency in the era of digital transformation because it involves not only technical skills but also the ability to critically understand information in cyberspace. A good level of digital literacy can encourage community participation in public decision-making and democratic processes, while inequality in access and digital literacy skills may hinder such participation. Therefore, this community service activity aims to improve digital literacy in order to overcome challenges and strengthen inclusive community participation. The activity targeted children and adolescents in Waihoka Village, Ambon City, with 31 participants involved in socialization and educational sessions. Evaluations were conducted before and after the presentation of the material, and the results showed an increase in participants’ understanding of digital literacy from early childhood to adolescence. Thus, communities with adequate digital literacy are expected to be more capable of accessing information, interacting appropriately in digital spaces, and actively participating in public decision-making processes and social activities in the digital era.

This article examines the role of Christian theology in dealing with pluralism and secularism in the era of globalization. The era of globalization is marked by an increasing plurality of religions, cultures, and various perspectives on life that in many ways are moving away from a theocentric perspective. In that context, Christian theology is faced with the responsibility to be present as a reflective and transformative force that carries messages of peace, truth, and certainty of faith. This research aims to explore the role of Christian theology in an increasingly pluralistic society and influenced by the currents of secularism that have the potential to erode the values of faith. The method used is a literature study by analyzing various literature related to the concept of Christian theology, the impact of secularism on the life of faith, and various relevant theological responses in dealing with these challenges. The results of the study show that inclusive theological education, a conciliatory approach in interreligious relations, a holistic transformation of church life, and the active participation of the church in social service are concrete forms of the contribution of Christianity in a pluralistic society. Through this approach, Christian theology functions not only as a doctrinal framework, but also as a praxis that presents the values of the Kingdom of God in social life.

This research is motivated by the complex problems of street children, vagrants, and beggars in Jambi City, which are influenced by poverty, urbanization, and weak social protection. This phenomenon not only impacts public order but also reflects the suboptimal social welfare system at the regional level. Although local governments have implemented various policies through social order and rehabilitation approaches, their effectiveness still faces various structural and cultural challenges. This study uses Bryson's Policy Implementation Mapping theoretical framework, which includes indicators of interests, resources, channels, potential participation, level of influence, implications, and actions as the main analysis. The research approach used is a qualitative case study design to understand the dynamics of policy implementation in depth. Data collection techniques were carried out through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation, with informants selected using purposive sampling until data saturation was achieved. The results show that policy implementation mapping has been carried out through collaboration between the Social Service and the Public Order Agency (Satpol PP) with a structured preventive, repressive, and rehabilitative approach. However, implementation has not been optimal due to limited rehabilitation facilities, lack of coordination between agencies, low community participation, and high mobility of beggars from outside the region. Furthermore, there is a gap between high administrative achievements and the reality on the ground, which still shows a high rate of returning to the streets. This study concludes that mapping policy implementation requires a more holistic, sustainable approach based on economic empowerment and strengthened cross-sectoral coordination to address this social issue more effectively and effectively.

This study examines the effectiveness of local government policies in infrastructure development and urban park management as multifunctional public spaces at Bundaran Besar Palangkaraya. Rapid urban development and increasing community needs for public spaces have encouraged the government to revitalize this area as a city landmark and social interaction space. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques through literature review, observation, and documentation. The results show that the development and revitalization of Bundaran Besar have improved aesthetic quality, public facilities, environmental conditions, and social functions. However, several challenges remain, including limited accessibility for certain groups, suboptimal management and maintenance systems, and traffic and parking issues during peak hours. The analysis indicates that although government policies have contributed positively to the development of public spaces, their effectiveness is still not fully optimal. Therefore, stronger governance, community participation, and sustainable management strategies are needed to enhance the role of Bundaran Besar as an inclusive, functional, and sustainable public space.

The activities were carried out through a series of events that combined elements of togetherness, religiosity, and education, such as communal iftar (breaking the fast), congregational prayers, and an offline webinar featuring student speakers.The results indicate an improvement in community understanding of the importance of utilizing social infrastructure not only as a gathering place but also as a medium for learning and empowerment. In addition, the activity strengthened social interaction, increased community solidarity, and encouraged active participation in utilizing available facilities more productively. Despite several challenges, such as time constraints and differences in participants’ levels of understanding, the activity overall had a positive impact in promoting the optimization of social infrastructure functions. Therefore, the continuation of similar programs is necessary to support sustainable improvements in community quality of life.

 The Ministry of Health and the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture indicate that 41% of students experience hunger, which has an impact on the decline in the quality of education. The Free Nutritional Meals (MBG) policy is present as a strategy oriented towards more inclusive and sustainable education. The purpose of this study is to determine the Free Nutritional Meals (MBG) program policy based on Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs Theory at SD Negeri 2 Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi in 2025. This study is a qualitative study with a phenomenological approach. Informants in this study numbered 10 people, namely 3 key informants and 7 supporting informants selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study on students' physiological needs show variations in the level of students' satiety. Students' need for safety shows students are calmer and more focused, although there are still variations in perceptions among some students and parents. The need for socialization shows that the MBG program encourages communication, as well as the formation of attitudes of mutual assistance and mutual cooperation. The need for appreciation shows equal conditions regardless of economic background. The need for self-actualization shows increased participation, discipline, and responsibility, although influenced by individual character. It can be concluded that the MBG program has been able to fulfill the physiological, security, socialization, appreciation and self-actualization needs of students, although some needs are influenced by individual character.

Cognitive decline is a common health issue experienced by pre-elderly individuals and can be influenced by dietary patterns and social engagement. This study aims to analyze the relationship between dietary diversity and social engagement with cognitive function in pre-elderly individuals aged 45–59 years in Driyorejo District, Gresik. A cross sectional design was used with a total sample of 70 pre-elderly participants selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using the Individual Dietary Diversity Score (IDDS) questionnaire for dietary intake, the Index of Social Engagement (ISE) for social involvement, and the Mini Mental State Examination (MMSE) for cognitive function. The results showed that 54,3% of respondents had low dietary diversity, 38,6% had low levels of social engagement, and 35.7% experienced cognitive impairment. The study shows a significant relationship between the diversity of food consumption and social engagement with cognitive function (p <0.05). The more diverse food consumption and the better social involvement, the better the pre -elderly cognitive function.

This study aims to identify and analyze the application of Pancasila values in the development of Indonesian tourism as a foundation for ethics and character. The method used is library research, reviewing various relevant written sources, including books, journals, articles, and other academic publications. The findings indicate that globalization exerts both positive and negative influences on Indonesian tourism, while simultaneously opening opportunities for the advancement of more ethical and responsible tourism practices. The integration of Pancasila values within the tourism sector such as mutual cooperation, environmental stewardship, social justice, and respect for cultural diversity can foster sustainable tourism development that balances economic growth with moral responsibility. Furthermore, these values contribute to strengthening national identity, preserving local wisdom, and enhancing community participation in tourism activities. The study also highlights that tourism grounded in Pancasila principles can improve social welfare by empowering local communities and promoting inclusive development. In conclusion, the application of Pancasila principles in tourism development is essential for maintaining a balance between economic progress and socio-cultural preservation, while reinforcing national character and resilience in the face of globalization and rapid global change.

The study of power in higher education institutions is important because power dynamics influence not only formal organizational systems but also informal relationships within academic communities. This research aims to analyze patterns of power manifestation in higher education institutions, understand their influence on organizational behavior, and identify the structural and cultural aspects involved in the process. The method applied in this study is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR), conducted through collecting, reviewing, and synthesizing various relevant literature related to power and governance in higher education. The findings indicate that pro-social manifestations of power and structural empowerment can positively contribute to job satisfaction and create a healthier and more conducive academic climate. On the other hand, centralized authority and unequal power relations may generate various negative impacts on organizations, such as reduced participation and institutional effectiveness. Therefore, higher education institutions need to implement a more participatory and adaptive governance model to minimize the negative effects of power asymmetry while strengthening collaboration, inclusiveness, and the overall quality of the academic environment.

The development of information technology in the era of globalization has significantly transformed communication patterns in modern society, particularly through the emergence of social media. Social media functions not only as a communication tool but also influences ways of thinking, social interaction, and relationship building. This study aims to examine the impact of social media on changes in communication patterns, identify challenges related to the digital divide, and propose solutions to address the negative effects of social media. The method used is a descriptive approach through literature review and analysis of social phenomena related to social media usage. The discussion indicates that social media accelerates information dissemination, expands communication spaces, and increases public participation. However, it also presents challenges such as the spread of misinformation, reduced quality of face-to-face interactions, digital addiction, and disparities in access to technology and digital literacy. Therefore, strengthening digital literacy, promoting ethical communication, enhancing the roles of families and governments, and encouraging self-regulation among users are essential to ensure that social media contributes positively to modern social life.

Public facility cleanliness is a reflection of cultural values and collective social responsibility. Bus stops, as daily transit points for thousands of commuters, often face declining cleanliness due to limited user participation and management. This community service program was conducted on April 22, 2026, at RSAL Bus Stop, Surabaya, Indonesia, with one researcher as the sole implementer. The objectives were to improve physical cleanliness, provide environmental education, and enhance aesthetics through greening. The method consisted of three activities: installing cleanliness reminder posters, cleaning the bus stop area, and adding ornamental plants in flower pots. Evaluation employed qualitative descriptive techniques, including observation, photographic documentation, and informal interviews. Findings revealed that the bus stop floor, initially littered with plastic waste, cigarette butts, and dry leaves, became clean after sweeping. Posters were successfully placed in visible positions, and three flower pots containing Sansevieria trifasciata and Epipremnum aureum created a fresher atmosphere. Users responded positively, noting improved comfort and cleanliness. The synthesis indicates that simple interventions by a single individual can generate meaningful improvements when combining physical cleaning, visual education, and greening. This initiative demonstrates that small-scale university-led social responsibility programs can serve as replicable models for sustainable public facility management.

Social Studies (IPS) learning in elementary schools plays an essential role in developing students’ critical thinking skills and civic attitudes as part of 21st-century competencies. However, in practice, IPS learning is still commonly teacher-centered and lacks contextual learning experiences, resulting in low student engagement and limited development of higher-order thinking skills. This study aims to analyze the implementation of Project-Based Learning (PjBL) in IPS learning to enhance critical thinking skills and civic attitudes of grade VI students at SDN Prekbun. The research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through classroom observations, semi-structured interviews with teachers, students, school principals, and parents, as well as documentation of learning activities. Data analysis was conducted using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. The findings indicate that the implementation of PjBL effectively enhances students’ active participation, critical thinking skills in analyzing social issues, and civic attitudes such as responsibility, cooperation, and social awareness. Learning becomes more meaningful as students are directly involved in contextual, collaborative, and problem-based project activities. Despite these positive outcomes, several challenges were identified, including limited learning facilities, time management constraints, and variations in students’ confidence levels. This study implies that PjBL is an effective instructional model for strengthening character education and developing 21st-century skills in elementary social studies learning

This study examines the role of digital philanthropy in fostering social solidarity in Indonesia through community-based social actions. The rapid growth of digital philanthropic practices in the post-pandemic era, mediated by social media and online platforms, has transformed collective humanitarian engagement. This study aims to explore how digital philanthropy contributes to the formation of social solidarity and social cohesion. A qualitative approach using a case study method was employed. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with fifteen community-based philanthropic actors, participant observation, and social media document analysis. Data analysis followed Miles and Huberman’s interactive model, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that digital philanthropy strengthens social solidarity through digital empathy, trust-building, and collective participation. Social media functions as an inclusive interactive space that expands cross-group solidarity networks. However, challenges such as digital inequality and algorithmic bias remain significant. This study concludes that digital philanthropy holds strategic potential to enhance social solidarity when supported by inclusive and sustainable governance frameworks.

Group-based learning in the classroom plays a vital role in enhancing social interaction, individual responsibility, as well as students' critical thinking and collaborative skills. However, its implementation often faces challenges such as the dominance of certain members, social loafing, low participation, and interpersonal conflicts that hinder group effectiveness. This study aims to comprehensively examine the dynamics of learning groups by integrating four key aspects: the concept of group dynamics based on the Tuckman model, the characteristics of effective groups in cooperative learning, group formation techniques, and conflict management strategies. The research utilizes a qualitative approach with a literature study method, analyzing 25 sources including nationally accredited journals, academic books, and theses published between 2020 and 2024. Data analysis was conducted through reduction, thematic classification, content analysis, and conceptual synthesis. The results indicate that effective group dynamics can be achieved through the Tuckman stages, the application of the five elements of cooperative learning, the selection of appropriate group formation techniques with risk mitigation, and the implementation of the Thomas-Kilmann conflict management styles.The scientific contribution of this research is the development of an integrative model based on these four aspects, which serves as a conceptual framework to strengthen collaborative learning practices in the classroom. Practical implications include the formation of ideal groups consisting of 4–5 students, the establishment of initial group contracts, the use of dual assessment rubrics (individual and group), and peer evaluation mechanisms to enhance accountability and reflection.
