The Family Welfare Empowerment (PKK) is a vital community organization with a significant role in addressing social issues. One such issue is the increasing number of juvenile delinquency cases in schools, which has become a major concern for both educational institutions and parents. Schools must be proactive in monitoring their students to address this problem effectively. However, traditional manual monitoring processes are inefficient and time-consuming. To overcome this, there is a need for an efficient, user-friendly, and multi-user monitoring system that enables both schools and parents to access information about their children's behavioral violations. This student violation monitoring system is designed to be web-based, utilizing UML (Unified Modeling Language) for system design and employing the Waterfall development method. The goal of this system is to provide an effective solution for managing and tracking student violations, allowing for better control and prevention of delinquent behavior within the school environment. By implementing this system, both school authorities and parents will be able to collaborate more effectively in monitoring and addressing student behavior.

The moral crisis and low religious understanding among the younger generation pose serious challenges in shaping students' character in accordance with Islamic teachings. This phenomenon is increasingly exacerbated by the rapid flow of globalization and technological developments that are not always in line with the principles of Islamic law. In this context, the existence of Madrasah Diniyah (Islamic Madrasah) is a strategic solution to equip students with a deep understanding of religion while simultaneously forming a strong Islamic personality (syakhsiyah Islamiyyah). This study aims to determine the role of Madrasah Diniyah in improving mastery of Islamic religious knowledge and shaping Islamic character in students. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach with the aim of systematically describing the learning process and its impact on student development. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews with teachers and students, and analysis of learning documents. The results show that Madrasah Diniyah plays a significant role in improving mastery of Islamic religious knowledge through structured learning that includes the Qur'an, aqidah, fiqh, and morals. This material not only broadens students' religious knowledge but also instills the values of faith, worship, and noble morals that serve as the foundation for daily behavior. This success is supported by teachers who possess strong scientific and pedagogical competence, varied learning methods, and harmonious relationships between teachers, students, and parents. Furthermore, a conducive madrasah environment helps strengthen the internalization of Islamic values. Thus, Madrasah Diniyah serves as a vital partner in the Islamic education system, particularly in instilling an Islamic personality from an early age, thus fortifying the younger generation against the negative influences of globalization and shaping a generation of faith, knowledge, and noble morals.

Student discipline is one of the key indicators of a school’s success in shaping character and creating a conducive learning environment. Discipline not only reflects compliance with school regulations but also demonstrates responsibility, honesty, orderliness, and self-control as part of character building. However, in practice, various disciplinary violations are still frequently found among students, such as lateness, failure to complete assignments, truancy, and noncompliance with school dress codes. These issues are also evident at SMA Kristen Palangka Raya, particularly among Grade XI students. Therefore, the role of the school principal as an educational leader is essential in implementing effective strategies to improve student discipline. This study aims to describe the role of the principal in enhancing student discipline among Grade XI students at SMA Kristen Palangka Raya. The research employed a qualitative descriptive method with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The participants included the principal, vice principal for student affairs, teachers, and students. The findings revealed that the principal performs several roles: (1) educator, by integrating discipline values through learning activities and character-building programs; (2) manager, by organizing, planning, and implementing school regulations; (3) supervisor, by monitoring and evaluating student discipline; (4) leader, by providing direction and exemplary behavior; and (5) motivator, by giving appreciation and educational sanctions. Challenges encountered include students’ low awareness of discipline and lack of parental involvement. To overcome these obstacles, the principal builds stronger communication with parents, enforces school rules consistently, and conducts continuous character development programs.

Multicultural counseling in schools serves as an essential strategy to reduce conflicts and foster cultural awareness among students. Counselors play a central role by developing their own cultural competence, facilitating students’ reflection on their cultural identities, providing education on stereotypes and biases, creating safe spaces for cross-cultural dialogue, and strengthening institutional capacity through collaboration with teachers and parents. This counseling strategy emphasizes understanding the values, norms, and power dynamics of each cultural group to ensure interventions are both effective and culturally sensitive. An inclusive learning environment supports this process by offering written policies, curricula that reflect diversity, dialogue forums, and cross-cultural activities. The evaluation process involves establishing clear objectives, quantitative and qualitative indicators, and mixed methods, including surveys, discussions, and direct observations, with participation from counselors, teachers, principals, parents, and student representatives. Local adaptation of instruments, continuous monitoring, and systematic documentation ensure data validity and the sustainability of behavioral changes. Evaluation results form the basis for concrete recommendations, such as counselor training, inclusive curriculum development, and programs to strengthen cross-cultural relationships. This approach enables schools to cultivate a culture of empathy, understanding, and harmony, thereby enhancing relationships among students from diverse backgrounds.

Personal hygiene during menstruation is a crucial aspect in maintaining the reproductive health of adolescent girls. Failure to adhere to personal hygiene practices during menstruation can potentially lead to various health problems, such as reproductive tract infections, pruritus vulvae, and vaginal discharge. Parents play a crucial role in shaping healthy behaviors in adolescent girls by providing education regarding the reproductive process and how to properly care for their genitals. Parents' roles in this context are considered effective if they actively provide reproductive health education, establish open communication, and model healthy behaviors. This education includes providing accurate information about reproductive organ function, techniques for cleaning genitalia during menstruation, and discussing health issues related to menstruation. This study aims to determine the relationship between parental role and menstrual personal hygiene practices among adolescent girls at SMP Negeri 1 Sambirejo, Sragen. The study used a quantitative method with a descriptive correlational design and a cross-sectional approach. The study sample consisted of 81 respondents, selected using a purposive sampling technique. The instruments used were questionnaires on parental roles and menstrual personal hygiene practices. The results showed that 53 respondents (65.4%) had parents with good roles, and 62 respondents (76.5%) had good menstrual personal hygiene practices. Data analysis using the Spearman Rank test resulted in a p value = 0.000 (p < 0.05), which indicates that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected. Thus, there is a significant relationship between parental roles and menstrual personal hygiene practices in adolescent girls at SMP Negeri 1 Sambirejo. This finding underscores the importance of parents' role in supporting proper menstrual hygiene practices through providing accurate information, open communication, and examples of healthy behavior, thus contributing to the prevention of reproductive health disorders among adolescents.

This study aims to describe the implementation of discipline values and the obstacles faced at MI Darul Hikmah Agung Jaya. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected from teachers, students, and parents through interviews, observations, and documentation, then analyzed through data reduction, display, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was ensured by triangulation of techniques and sources. The findings show that teachers instill discipline values through two main techniques. First, external control, in which teachers give warnings, threats, or punishment to undisciplined students and provide rewards or praise to those who obey the rules. For example, students who consistently complete homework may receive additional grades or verbal appreciation. Second, teachers also become role models, demonstrating punctuality, neat appearance, polite language, and respectful attitudes, thereby fostering discipline by example. Furthermore, teachers apply cooperative control, emphasizing collaboration and agreements between teachers and students. This approach promotes tolerance, respect, and responsibility by involving students in creating and maintaining classroom rules. However, some obstacles were identified. Teachers were sometimes less assertive in enforcing discipline, and limited variation in teaching methods led to student boredom. In addition, inadequate attention, motivation, and parental support negatively influenced students’ discipline, resulting in lateness, incomplete assignments, and other undisciplined behaviors.

Introducing a sense of tolerance from an early age, especially in preschool, is crucial for building a harmonious society. This article discusses the importance of instilling the values of tolerance and mutual respect among children, particularly in the context of religious diversity. The study, conducted at Telkom Kindergarten in Gorontalo, involved seven students aged 5-6 years. The data collection technique used a Guttman scale questionnaire with intervals (Yes-No). The results showed that 85% of children had demonstrated tolerant attitudes, which include accepting differences, respecting others, and appreciating the religion or beliefs of others. However, there were still 15% of children who were not fully tolerant. Therefore, it is recommended to further develop social tolerance skills in early childhood through various structured and systematic approaches, such as modeling, habituation, storytelling, outdoor activities, singing, and providing appropriate rewards and consequences. It is important to build strong synergy between parents and teachers in formal educational institutions to guide children in developing a tolerant character. In addition, efforts need to be made to increase students' awareness of good behavior, and parents' use of democratic education also plays a crucial role in developing tolerance skills in early childhood.

This study aims to examine the role of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in shaping students’ character in the digital era at SMK Negeri 1 Binjai. The research employed a descriptive qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. Data were collected through classroom observations, religious activities, interviews with PAI teachers, and questionnaires distributed to 50 tenth-grade students. The findings reveal that PAI plays a crucial role in instilling key character values, including discipline, honesty, responsibility, religiosity, and digital ethics. PAI teachers utilized interactive media, educational videos, and digital Qur’an applications, which enhanced students’ enthusiasm and facilitated better understanding of the subject matter. Based on the questionnaire results, 83% of students stated that PAI improved their discipline, 77% reported being more cautious in using social media, and 87% acknowledged that PAI fostered a greater sense of responsibility toward themselves and others. However, 60% of students still struggled to control their gadget usage, particularly for entertainment and online games. This indicates the need for continuous guidance and supervision from both teachers and parents. Overall, the study emphasizes that the effectiveness of PAI in the digital era depends on teachers’ competence in integrating technology, the role of exemplary behavior, and strong collaboration between schools and families. Therefore, PAI not only serves as a medium for delivering religious values but also as a vital instrument for shaping Islamic character, enabling students to face moral and social challenges in the digital age.

Interpersonal communication is a crucial aspect of human life, both within the family and in the community, as it serves as a means of providing motivation, support, and positive guidance. One social issue of considerable concern is alcohol dependence among adolescents, which can negatively impact their physical, mental, and social development. This study was conducted to determine how interpersonal communication between parents and adolescents in Lalang Village, Rana Mese District, East Manggarai Regency, plays a role in reducing alcohol dependence. Furthermore, this study also examined the strategies parents use to overcome barriers to interpersonal communication in an effort to prevent alcohol consumption among adolescents. This study used a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation of parents and adolescents in Lalang Village. Analysis was conducted by examining the communication patterns that occur, the obstacles encountered, and their impact on adolescent behavior related to alcohol consumption. The results of the study indicate that interpersonal communication between parents and adolescents in reducing alcohol dependence is still not optimal. This is evident in the lack of time spent together between parents and adolescents, the low response of adolescents to messages delivered face-to-face, and the lack of understanding on the negative impacts of alcohol on health on both parties. Cultural factors and limited knowledge also hinder the effectiveness of interpersonal communication. In conclusion, effective interpersonal communication is essential for educating and guiding adolescents to reduce alcohol consumption. Efforts should include improving parental communication skills, strengthening family interactions, and raising public awareness of the dangers of alcohol. Educators and community leaders also play a crucial role in supporting the education process and preventing alcohol dependence among adolescents.

Adolescence is the stage where a child's puberty occurs before reaching adulthood, this is a process that every child must go through between the ages of 12 and 18. At this stage, children who are growing up generally experience several changes both physically, emotionally, and emotionally, becoming more sensitive to circumstances and desires or high curiosity about their environment. In conditions like this, the role of several parties and knowledge is very necessary to control and supervise without having to restrain so as to hinder the development of the teenager, these parties include parents, family, teachers, and the community. Based on this, it is felt necessary to carry out socialization and a direct approach to convey the importance of knowledge or science to fortify adolescent behavior so that a situation that exceeds the limit does not occur such as promiscuity, free sex and other negative influences that must be directly conveyed to the teenager. From this service, a report was made as a form of steps that have been taken as an effort to protect the generation with knowledge in the digital era for the future. In addition, in facing the increasingly rapidly developing digital era, teenagers are very vulnerable to the influence of social media and the flow of information that is so fast and unlimited. Easy access to various digital platforms can have positive impacts if used wisely, but it also has the potential to lead teens to negative content if not properly supported. Therefore, digital literacy is a crucial skill for teens to master, enabling them to select information, convey critical messages, and use technology responsibly.

This study aims to analyze the role of digital communication between parents and schools in improving the effectiveness of student attendance administration and scholarship management at SMA XYZ, and to identify factors influencing its implementation within a sustainable educational ecosystem. The research employed a narrative literature review approach with a comprehensive literature analysis from major academic databases, including Google Scholar and ProQuest Education Database, covering publications from 2010 to 2024. Data were collected through systematic searches using keyword combinations of digital communication, parent-school communication, educational technology, student attendance, scholarship administration, and family engagement, followed by thematic analysis to identify patterns and research gaps. Digital communication demonstrated high intensity (4.2/5 score) with WhatsApp as the dominant platform (65%). While 70% of parents increased their academic involvement, only 45% provided appropriate emotional support. Significant barriers included digital divide (30% infrastructure constraints), digital literacy gaps (25%), and boundary management issues (40% of teachers contacted outside working hours). Digital communication improved administrative transparency and real-time monitoring, though communication patterns remained predominantly unidirectional, with only 35% of parents providing active feedback. The study contributes to Digital Education Communication Theory by identifying paradoxes in digital parental engagement and confirming Digital Divide Theory in educational contexts. Findings expand Family Engagement Theory by revealing how real-time information access can create surveillance parenting behaviors that may be counterproductive to student well-being. Results indicate an urgent need for comprehensive digital communication policies, parent digital literacy programs, and infrastructure support to create an equitable and sustainable digital educational ecosystem that balances accessibility with professional boundaries.
