This community service activity aims to improve the understanding and readiness of Elementary School Teacher Education (PGSD) students in taking the Learning Strategy course. The activity focused on introducing the basic concepts of learning strategies, the use of various innovative learning methods, and the integration of technology in the learning process. The target of the activity was PGSD students who were about to start the Learning Strategy course. The implementation method of the activity included material delivery, interactive discussions, and filling out a questionnaire to identify students' perceptions, initial experiences, and expectations of the Learning Strategy course. This activity was attended by 84 students at the beginning of the lecture. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively to describe the level of understanding and needs of students. The results of the activity showed that students generally had a basic understanding of learning strategies, but there were still variations in learning method preferences and levels of readiness in using technology. Problem-Based Learning and Project-Based Learning were perceived as effective and engaging methods, although students still faced obstacles in time management and differences in learning styles. This activity made a positive contribution in raising students' awareness of the importance of selecting appropriate learning strategies. This community service activity recommended the need to strengthen more adaptive, innovative, and inclusive learning through technology integration and attention to the diversity of student learning styles in the implementation of the Learning Strategy course.

This study aims to examine the perspectives of students in the Primary School Teacher Education Program (PGSD) who are about to begin the Learning Strategies course. The main focus of this research is to investigate how students view the concept of learning strategies, their experiences with various teaching methods, and their expectations regarding the Learning Strategies course. Information was obtained through questionnaires completed by 84 students during the first session of the course. The results of the analysis show that the majority of students have a fairly good basic understanding of learning strategies, although there are some variations in their preferences regarding the use of technology and certain teaching methods. Problem-Based Learning (PBL) and Project-Based Learning (PjBL) are considered effective by the students, although they still face challenges such as time management and differences in learning styles that pose obstacles. This study recommends that teaching in the Learning Strategies course better integrates technology and takes into account the variety of student learning styles to create a more inclusive learning environment.

Therefore, it is important for educational institutions to integrate embedded systems and IoT concepts into their curricula to ensure that learning remains relevant to industrial and technological demands. Improving the competence and technological literacy of students and lecturers in the fields of embedded systems and IoT, particularly for smart control applications, is expected to strengthen academic capabilities and practical skills. Through this development, higher education institutions can encourage innovation and the application of technology-based solutions in solving real-world problems. Furthermore, this effort supports the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, especially in the areas of education and research, by promoting applied research projects and collaborative learning activities based on embedded systems and IoT technologies.

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using vlogs as a Project Based Learning (PBL) media in the Fantasy Makeup course to enhance students’ soft skills, particularly in communication, public speaking, creativity, and problem solving. This research employed a pre-experimental design with a one group pre-test and post-test design. The sample consisted of 25 students selected through a census sampling technique, in which the entire population was used as the research sample. Data were collected through observation and questionnaires administered in two stages: a pre-test before the implementation of the learning model and a post-test afterward. The data were analyzed using a Paired Sample T-Test to identify the mean differences in students’ soft skill scores before and after the learning treatment. The results showed a significant improvement in communication, public speaking, creativity, and problem-solving abilities after the implementation of the vlog-based PBL model. Therefore, the use of vlogs is proven to be an effective and innovative learning medium to strengthen students’ soft skills in the context of the Fantasy Makeup course.

Acute Respiratory Infection (ARI) is one of the most common health problems among primary school–aged children and may interfere with the learning process as well as children’s overall health status. This community service activity aimed to improve primary school students’ knowledge and awareness regarding ARI prevention through the implementation of the Faculty of Medicine Teaching Movement. The methods used were interactive lectures and demonstrations tailored to the characteristics of primary school children, including education on ARI, proper cough and sneeze etiquette, and correct handwashing practices. The community service program was conducted in three stages: planning and preparation, implementation, and evaluation and monitoring. The activity involved collaboration between lecturers and medical students from the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Muhammadiyah Semarang, who served as health education facilitators. The evaluation results showed a significant improvement in students’ knowledge, with the proportion of students in the good knowledge category increasing from 47.4% before the intervention to 78.9% after the intervention, along with an increase in the mean score of 28.4 points (p < 0.05). This activity not only enhanced students’ understanding of ARI prevention but also strengthened the role of medical students in field-based learning and promoted the development of health awareness within the school and family environment.

This study examines the integration of social activities and leadership values in shaping the character of students by the PIJAR Semarang Community as a form of community-based non-formal education. The background of this study stems from the increasing problems with student character, such as low empathy, responsibility, and self-confidence, as well as the increasing cases of violence and bullying in the educational environment. These conditions indicate that formal education has not been fully able to address the challenges of shaping student character. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The research was conducted at the PIJAR Semarang Community by involving community managers, volunteers, and students as research subjects. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation of activities, and documentation to obtain a comprehensive understanding of the character-building process. The results of the study show that the PIJAR Semarang Community integrates social activities and leadership values through academic and non-academic learning programs that are designed to be contextual and participatory. Social activities such as play-based learning, social action, field trips, art performances, and leadership training are the main media for instilling character values. The character values developed include responsibility, cooperation, empathy, discipline, and self-confidence. Leadership values are instilled through habit formation, volunteer role models, providing opportunities for participation, and the active involvement of students in every activity. This study also found several obstacles in the form of differences in student character, limited resources, and low self-confidence among some students in leadership. To overcome these obstacles, the PIJAR Semarang Community implemented intensive mentoring, motivation building, and adjustments to activities to make them more inclusive. Overall, this study confirms that the integration of social activities and leadership values in community-based non-formal education plays an important role in the holistic and sustainable character building of students.

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using Problem Based Learning (PBL) oriented E-LAPD to improve students' metacognitive skills on chemical equilibrium material, especially on the sub-material of factors that influence chemical equilibrium shifts. This study was conducted at SMAS Hang Tuah 4 Surabaya class XII-2 as many as 25 students. The type of research used is research and development (R&D) with a 4-D model that was tested on a limited basis using a one-group pretest-posttest design. Scoring on the pretest-posttest uses N-gain (normalized gain) which aims to determine the increase in metacognitive skills through the results of students' pretest-posttest scores. The results showed that the N-gain value for each component of metacognitive skills, namely planning skills, monitoring skills, and evaluating skills, obtained values ​​​​sequentially, namely 0.85; 0.73; and 0.74 which are included in the high category, from the assessment shows that the use of PBL oriented E-LAPD is declared effective in improving students' metacognitive skills. This is supported by the results of the Metacognitive Awareness Inventory (MAI) questionnaire, which showed a percentage of planning skills of 82.43% with very good criteria, monitoring skills of 81.86% with very good criteria, and evaluating skills of 77.67% with good criteria. These results indicate that the MAI questionnaire can support pretest-posttest data to determine the improvement of metacognitive skills in students.

This study aims to evaluate the validity, effectiveness, and practicality of developing problem-based teaching materials for improving student learning outcomes. The research focuses on a practical module for the subject of electric motor installation at SMKN 1 Driyorejo, where interviews and needs assessment revealed issues such as teacher-centered learning and limited student resources, primarily relying on notebooks. These factors have hindered optimal learning outcomes. The development of problem-based learning modules was intended to address these issues and improve cognitive, affective, and psychomotor learning outcomes. The research follows a Research & Development (R&D) approach with four steps: 1) Define, 2) Design, 3) Develop, and 4) Disseminate, using a one-shot case study trial design. The study involved 30 students of grade XI TITL 1 at SMKN 1 Driyorejo. Results showed the module’s validity at 3.66, practicality based on student responses at 89.25, and effectiveness with cognitive, psychomotor, and affective outcomes of 84.93, 89.40, and 94.00, respectively. These findings suggest that the problem-based practical module is valid, practical, and effective for improving student learning outcomes across various domains.

This research is framed in the topic of the application of the Yanbu'a Method in Islamic Boarding Schools. The world of education is currently faced with various changes in aspects of life in society. This is due to the rapid advancement of knowledge and technology, as well as the impact of globalization that is occurring in the world. This has an impact on religious education, especially in the teaching of the Qur'an. Not a few Qur'an teachers teach how to read the Qur'an not in accordance with the tajwid or makhorijul huruf that has been taught by the Prophet Muhammad. In addition, there is one of the most prominent obstacles in the implementation of Qur'an reading education, namely in terms of the use of Qur'an teaching methods. This is very urgent to be studied because the application of inappropriate Qur'an teaching methods can result in fatal errors in the way of reading the Qur'an. research, guided by Max Weber's qualitative approach to Verstehen theory, concluded that the obstacles encountered in implementing the Yanbu'a Method were a lack of coordination between teachers, significant differences in student abilities, low student discipline in muroja'ah (religious study), and students' busy schedules outside of Quranic study hours. Optimization of the Yanbu'a Method at Tanwirul Qulub Islamic Boarding School includes teacher training and education, grouping students based on ability, strengthening evaluation and monitoring, providing learning facilities and media, consistent lesson scheduling, and increasing student motivation.

This study discusses the implementation of the Yanbu'a Method at Pondok Pesantren Tanwirul Qulub. The education sector today faces various changes influenced by the rapid advancement of knowledge, technology, and the impact of globalization, which also affects religious education, particularly in the teaching of the Qur'an. One of the main obstacles in Qur'anic teaching is the use of methods that do not align with the tajwid or makhorijul huruf as taught by Prophet Muhammad SAW. This can lead to critical errors in reading the Qur'an. Therefore, this study aims to explore the challenges that arise in the process of teaching the Qur'an using the Yanbu'a Method at Pondok Pesantren Tanwirul Qulub, which is applied by KH. Agus Musta'in Ilyas. This research uses a qualitative approach based on Max Weber's Verstehen theory. The results show that the obstacles in implementing the Yanbu'a Method include a lack of coordination among teachers, significant differences in students' abilities, low student discipline in muroja'ah, and students' activities outside Qur'anic learning hours. To optimize the implementation of this method, it is recommended to provide teacher training and workshops, group students based on their abilities, strengthen evaluation and monitoring, establish consistent learning schedules, and increase student motivation.

This paper aims to describe the implementation and development of the Merdeka Curriculum at SD IT Permata Hati Entrop, an Integrated Islamic Elementary School. As an educational institution with a vision of integrating general knowledge with Islamic values, SD IT Permata Hati adapts the national curriculum to create learning that is more flexible, focused on essential content, and character-based. This curriculum is developed to optimize students’ potential holistically, encompassing cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects through the strengthening of the Pancasila Student Profile.The main focus of curriculum development at this school consists of three pillars: innovative intracurricular learning, the Project for Strengthening the Pancasila Student Profile (P5), and extracurricular activities that support students’ interests and talents. In its implementation, the school applies active learning methods such as Problem-Based Learning (PBL) and contextual learning linked to daily life and Islamic principles. The evaluation process is conducted through formative and summative assessments that are humanistic and reflective in nature. The outcomes of this development are expected to equip students with 21st-century skills and strong religious character in accordance with the demands of the times.

This study addresses the problem of how the implementation of HOTS-based Android gamification influences the higher-order thinking skills of students with ADHD, a group that often faces challenges in traditional learning environments. A quantitative experimental research design was applied, involving 26 students with ADHD from four special needs schools (SLBs) in West Kalimantan. The intervention included HOTS-oriented Android gamified learning, and students' performance was measured using pre-tests and post-tests based on HOTS-level questions. The average pre-test score was 23.72, while the post-test score increased to 53.21. A paired sample t-test showed a significant improvement (t = 8.688 > t_table = 1.708, at a 5% significance level). However, only 57.69% of students met the minimum mastery criteria (KKM = 67), indicating that 15 out of 26 students achieved the expected learning standard. The implementation of HOTS-based Android gamification significantly improved the higher-order thinking skills of students with ADHD. Nonetheless, the overall results, based on average scores and classical completeness, indicate that many students still did not reach the expected level of mastery. Further enhancements in instructional design may be necessary to optimize outcomes for this group of learners.

This research is based on the problem of declining morals of third-grade students at SD IT Baitul Muslim, which has implications for daily behavior, particularly in Pancasila Education learning. Students tend to exhibit attitudes that are inconsistent with positive character values, such as a lack of tolerance and a low sense of love for the homeland. The purpose of this study is to identify the significant influence of educators' roles in shaping the character of third-grade elementary school students in Pancasila Education subjects. The method used is an ex post facto method with a quantitative approach and a purposive sampling design. The study population consisted of 10 educators and 95 students, with a sample of 10 educators and 40 students from two selected classes. Data collection techniques were carried out through questionnaires and documentation that had been tested for validity using Aiken's V and reliability with Cronbach Alpha. Hypothesis testing using simple linear regression analysis showed a significance value of 0.044 which is smaller than 0.05 and a calculated F value of 5.692 which is greater than the F table of 2.27. Thus, the null hypothesis is rejected and the alternative hypothesis is accepted. The research findings confirm the significant influence of educators, particularly as demonstrators, classroom managers, facilitators, and evaluators, in shaping students' character in Pancasila Education. The implication of these findings is that educators need to optimize role models to improve students' character development.

The ability to analyze ethical and health law issues is one of the learning outcomes that must be mastered by students of the Public Health Study Program. Over the past two years, the implementation of lectures has been predominantly based on problem-based learning; however, most student learning outcomes have remained in the “not yet achieved” category, including in completing assignments related to ethical and health law problem solving. This study aims to compare students’ problem-solving abilities between the implementation of project-based learning and problem-based learning. The research was conducted in the Public Health Study Program at Universitas Jambi involving first-semester students enrolled in the Ethics and Health Law course. The research employed a quasi-experimental design involving 200 students, with 100 students assigned to the experimental group and 100 students to the control group. The instruments used were assessment sheets and observation sheets. Data collection was carried out twice, before and after the implementation of the two learning models. Data processing and analysis were conducted using an independent t-test.The results of the study indicate an improvement in students’ problem-solving abilities through the implementation of project-based learning. Project-based learning contributes to strengthening students’ perseverance and problem-solving skills and is therefore recommended for implementation in all courses at higher education institutions.

This study aims to analyze the obstacles in Social Studies (IPS) learning related to global issues influenced by technological advancement through a literature review method. Social Studies plays an essential role in shaping students’ understanding of social, economic, cultural, and political life while fostering global awareness in the digital era. However, in practice, IPS learning often faces various challenges that reduce its effectiveness and attractiveness. One of the main problems is students ’low interestin IPS, as it is often perceived as boring and overly theoretical, combined with the influence of technology that diverts students’ attention toward digital entertainment. Other contributing factors include non-interactive teaching methods, limited learning facilities, unconducive classroom environments, and a lack of parental support. Through a comprehensive literature review, this study found that relevant strategies to overcome these issues include Project-Based Learning, Technology Integration, and Contextual Approaches. These strategies enable students to learn actively, critically, and collaboratively by linking IPS material to global issues and real-world phenomena. The recommended solutions include implementing project-based education, utilizing interactive digital media, and fostering intercultural dialogue within the learning process. The results of this study are expected to provide theoretical contributions to the development of adaptive IPS learning models in response to technological progress, as well as practical benefits for teachers, schools, and policymakers in creating Social Studies learning that is engaging, meaningful, and relevant to the global challenges of the 21st century.

This study aims to: (1) describe the implementation of local wisdom–based learning in the teaching process of Grade VII B at UPT SMP Negeri 4 Kelara Jeneponto; (2) determine the improvement of students’ social awareness after the implementation of local wisdom–based learning; and (3) identify the enhancement of students’ learning culture through the application of this learning model. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design using the Kemmis and McTaggart model, conducted in two cycles consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subjects were 25 seventh-grade students, focusing on two main variables: social awareness and learning culture. Data were collected through observation, questionnaires, and documentation, and analyzed using descriptive quantitative and qualitative techniques. The findings indicate that the integration of Jeneponto cultural values Tabe’ Karaeng, Sipakatau, Sipakalabbiri, Sipakainga, Siri’ na Pacce, Akbulo Sibatang, and empo sipitangari was implemented effectively and became more optimal in Cycle II after improvements were made through Problem-Based Learning (PBL) and the use of more contextual local cases. Students’ social awareness increased from an average of 63.13% in Cycle I (categorized as Fair) to 80.42% in Cycle II (categorized as High). Similarly, students’ learning culture improved from 69.69% (Fair) in Cycle I to 82.66% (High) in Cycle II, meeting the classical mastery criteria. The study concludes that integrating local wisdom into classroom instruction not only strengthens students’ understanding of social studies content but is also effective in shaping their social character and learning habits. This model is recommended for development in other subjects and educational levels.

High school student’s poor understanding of mathematics remains a common problem, particularly in terms of learning motivation and independent problem-solving skills. This situation is also experienced by students at Nurul Jadid High School, where mathematics lessons tend to be perceived as difficult and boring. This community service activity aims to improve student’s mathematical understanding through the implementation of the Fun Arithmetic game-based tutoring program, designed to be interactive and fun. The methods used in this activity include planning, implementation, and evaluation. The activity was implemented through group tutoring using an educational math game that integrates the concepts of counting, problem-solving, and healthy competition between students. Evaluation was carried out through observation, and pre- and post-activity comprehension tests. The results of the activity showed an increase in students' understanding of mathematical concepts, as indicated by an increase in final test scores compared to the initial test. In addition, students demonstrated a more positive, enthusiastic, and active attitude in participating in mathematics learning. Thus, the Fun Arithmetic game-based tutoring program has proven effective as an alternative learning strategy to improve students' mathematical understanding of Nurul Jadid High School and create a more interesting and enjoyable learning atmosphere.

The primary objective of this research is to enhance English academic proficiency among seventh-grade pupils at UPT SMP Negeri 4 Takalar, specifically regarding "Introduction" subject matter, through the application of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) framework. This study was necessitated by observed deficiencies in student engagement and challenges in vocabulary acquisition, particularly concerning regular and irregular verbs, which had previously led to unsatisfactory academic performance. Utilizing a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design, the investigation was executed over two distinct cycles with a cohort of 24 students from Class VII B. Data acquisition involved the administration of performance assessments and systematic classroom observations. Subsequent analysis revealed a marked enhancement in learning achievements. During Cycle I, the mean score was recorded at 78.75, corresponding to a classical mastery rate of 37.5%. Following instructional refinements in Cycle II, the average score rose to 80.42, while the classical mastery rate increased to 50%. Moreover, observational evidence highlighted constructive behavioral shifts characterized by heightened engagement in collaborative discussions and improved oral communication confidence. Consequently, this study concludes that deploying the PBL model serves as an effective strategy for augmenting both English academic achievement and social interaction within the classroom environment.

This community service program is entitled Improving Microcontroller Competence of Students of SMK Negeri 3 Pematangsiantar through Arduino Training Based on Industrial Practice and is implemented as a follow-up to the school's official request to invite university practitioners as guest teachers in order to strengthen industry-based vocational learning. The activity was carried out on November 27, 2025 at the Computer Laboratory of SMK Negeri 3 Pematangsiantar involving 50 grade XI students, and guided by Andi Setiadi Manalu, S.Kom., M.Ti as the main instructor of Arduino material which focuses on the introduction of microcontrollers, basic programming, sensor integration, and simple automation project design. The purpose of this activity is to improve students' technical competence in the field of embedded systems while fostering work readiness through real-world practice-based learning experiences. The implementation method uses an experiential learning and project-based learning approach, which combines brief conceptual explanations with direct practice, technical discussions, and problem-based project assignment completion. The evaluation results show an increase in students' understanding of microcontroller functions, programming logic structures, and the ability to connect hardware and software in one work system. In addition, students demonstrated increased motivation, confidence, and interest in industrial technology, as reflected in their active participation during the practicum and their successful independent completion of functional prototypes.
