This research is motivated by the interest in learning to learn to read the Qur'an is very important for santri / female students of fishermen's children at MDTA Darul Hujjaj Joundul II Complex Tabing Hajj Dormitory. The purpose of this research in general is to find out how the interest in learning and the ability to read the Qur'an of fishermen's children at MDTA Darul Hujjaj Joundul II Complex Tabing Hajj Dormitory. This research uses a qualitative approach in the form of a case study. Data collection techniques in this study are using observation, interview and documentation techniques. Then the data that has been collected is processed with the analysis model. The results of the research conducted, the author can conclude that there are several variations in the interest and ability to read the al quran of fishermen's children at MDTA Darul Hujjaj. For santri who have been able to read Al quran and Iqro‘ fluently on average have a high interest in learning Al qur'an, while on the contrary for santri who have not been able to read Al quran and Iqro’ on average have a low interest in learning Al qur'an. Therefore, the figure of a teacher in this process is an important thing, because from the results of the study it is concluded that the way and method of teaching an MDTA teacher can affect the ability and interest in reading of fishermen's children in MDTA Darul Hujjaj.

Minat baca merupakan salah satu aspek penting dalam perkembangan literasi siswa yang dapat mempengaruhi pencapaian akademis serta kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kreatif dikemudian harinya atau sebagai landasan untuk tingkat pendidikan lebih lanjut. Akan tetapi, fenomena di Indonesia tingkat minat baca siswa sekolah dasar tergolong rendah, yang disebabkan oleh kurangnya akses terhadap bahan bacaan yang menarik serta terbatasnya kegiatan literasi yang inovatif dan menyenangkan. Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan minat baca siswa SD Al-Hikmah melalui Program Literasi Kreatif, yang dirancang untuk mengintegrasikan kegiatan literasi dengan kreativitas. Program ini melibatkan berbagai kegiatan seperti pembuatan cerita bergambar, permainan peran berdasarkan buku cerita yang dilakukan di perpustakaan sekolah atau pun di dalam kelas. Kegiatan-kegiatan itu mendorong siswa untuk mengekspresikan ide-ide mereka melalui tulisan dan gambar. Melalui pendekatan yang interaktif dan menyenangkan, diharapkan siswa dapat melihat membaca sebagai aktivitas yang menarik dan bermanfaat, sehingga minat baca mereka akan meningkat. Hasil dari pengabdian ini diharapkan dapat menunjukkan peningkatan minat baca siswa, yang diukur melalui partisipasi aktif dalam kegiatan, peningkatan frekuensi membaca, serta perubahan sikap positif terhadap kegiatan membaca. Program ini juga bertujuan untuk memberikan model pembelajaran literasi yang dapat diadopsi oleh sekolah-sekolah lain guna membudayakan literasi di kalangan siswa sejak dini

Education is a deliberate effort to pass on cultural heritage from one generation to the next. It aims to shape the younger generation to be role models for the previous one. The Community Service method, through a Service Learning (SL) approach, involves applying acquired knowledge to assist the community through direct interaction and providing solutions to their problems. The KKM Group 31 students in Desa Citasuk offer a solution to enhance reading literacy among young children in the area by setting up a Reading Corner. This initiative aims to encourage children to develop a love for reading by providing a variety of books and resources. Reading literacy is crucial for young children in their growth and development. Therefore, community service activities like this KKM project enable students to impart knowledge beyond the classroom while gaining practical experience outside of it. Additionally, the Reading Corner motivates children and boosts their literacy skills.

This journal discusses the influence of activities to increase interest in reading in the era of digitalization, by using free e-books at SMP Negeri 3 Tasik Payawan in Hiang Bana Village. Interest in reading is a basic element in developing individual literacy. Literacy does not focus on aspects of reading and writing, but on the skills to understand, analyze and interpret information conveyed through writing. This socialization aims to increase reading interest in using e-books so that students can use them easily in the current era of digitalization. This activity was carried out by the KKN 105 team at Palangka Raya University. The socialization activity was held on Wednesday, August 7 2024. The activity started at 07.30 WIB until finished. Results and discussion of the implementation of activities by the Palangka Raya University KKN 105 team for Tasik Payawan Middle School 3 students with socialization regarding increasing students' interest in reading in the era of digitalization, using e-books for free can provide positive benefits and value for socialization participants, especially Tasik Payawan Middle School 3 students. After the socialization was held, the KKN team together with Class IX students formed a reading community via the social media WhatsApp. The aim of forming this community is for KKN students to be able to provide more detailed explanations that were not given during the socialization. This forum is also used as a medium for distributing various quality and enjoyable e-books to female students. It is hoped that with this socialization and the formation of a reading community, students' access to reading sources will become wider, students' interest in reading will increase, literacy levels will increase and the quality of human resources for the next generation of young people will improve.

The community service program in the form of education which is carried out on the basis of the collaboration of students from the Raden Fatah State Islamic University Palembang Real Work Study Program with Tanjung Dalam Village, Rambang District, Muara Enim Regency, South Sumatra Province provides teaching related to the introduction of storytelling as a means of fostering interest in reading in young children early through the media posters. The formation of children's behavior must at least form habits from an early age. This is important because early age is the initial stage of human life. Posters as learning can function to attract children's interest in the message to be conveyed, seek support for an event or idea, and make children interested in the information displayed and carry out the messages displayed on the poster. Research methods carried out by the author in implementing this KKN is with a qualitative research approach which is a method that is more often done when going directly to the field. Through this activity it is hoped that children will know and learn about storytelling and will be interested in reading books and other reading materials whose stories have been conveyed in storytelling or storytelling activities. Thus, the public's interest in reading, especially early childhood, will increase.

This research is carried out using qualitative research methos, namely with data collection tehniques throught obsevation, interviews and documentation. This research was condeducated at TA Sanggar Anak Alam with a total 0f 29 subject of  TA children large and small. And interviewed 4 facilitators and 1 parent. As for the result of tgis study, after playing words, children experience an increase in intersest in reading, not only that children are also stimulated to learn to write.

Abstract. One technology that is widely used today is ChatGPT, a chatbot that utilizes AI in its operation. One of the impacts that needs to be considered is the decline in student interest in reading. Students reading interest may decrease due to the convenience offered by ChatGPT through services that use natural human language. The purpose of this study is to determine and analyze the effect of using ChatGPT on students' reading interest as well as identify other factors that may affect reading interest. This study investigates the effect of using AI ChatGPT on reading interest by involving respondents through filling out a Google Form questionnaire, that is Information Systems students at ITS. The results showed that there was no significant effect of using ChatGPT on the reading interest of ITS Information Systems students. The proposed recommendations include increasing student awareness of the importance of reading accredited literature, books, and scientific articles in the era of digital development. In conclusion, this study provides an in-depth insight into the influence of AI Chat GPT respondents regarding the reading interest of ITS Information Systems students.   Keywords: Artificial Intelligences (AI), Chat GPT, Reading Interest.   Abstrak. Salah satu teknologi yang marak digunakan saat ini adalah ChatGPT, sebuah chatbot yang memanfaatkan AI dalam operasinya. Salah satu dampak yang perlu diperhatikan adalah penurunan minat baca mahasiswa. Minat baca mahasiswa dapat menurun karena kemudahan yang ditawarkan oleh ChatGPT melalui servis yang menggunakan bahasa alami manusia. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan ChatGPT terhadap minat baca mahasiswa serta mengidentifikasi faktor lain yang dapat mempengaruhi minat baca. Studi ini menyelidiki pengaruh penggunaan AI ChatGPT terhadap minat baca dengan melibatkan responden melalui pengisian kuesioner Google Form yaitu mahasiswa Sistem Informasi di ITS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada pengaruh yang signifikan dari penggunaan ChatGPT terhadap minat baca mahasiswa Sistem Informasi ITS. Rekomendasi yang diajukan mencakup peningkatan kesadaran mahasiswa akan pentingnya membaca literatur terakreditasi, buku, serta artikel ilmiah di era perkembangan digital. Kesimpulannya, penelitian ini memberikan wawasan mendalam mengenai pengaruh AI Chat GPT responden terkait minat baca mahasiswa Sistem Informasi ITS. This research aims to determine the role of teachers in reading interest in fourth grade students. This type of research is qualitative descriptive research. The subject of this research is a class IV teacher. The data collection techniques used were interview and observation techniques. The results of the research are, 1) The role of the teacher as a motivator, the efforts made by the teacher as a motivator are by providing support to students, 2) The role of the teacher as a guide, namely by familiarizing students with reading, 3) The role of the teacher as a facilitator, namely by providing infrastructure , 4) The teacher's role as a model and role model, namely by providing examples so that students have an interest in reading. The conclusion of this research is that the teacher's role in reading interest in class IV students, namely as a motivator, guide, facilitator, and as a model and role model has been carried out well, but there are several roles that have not been implemented optimally. It is hoped that teachers will be more optimal in implementing it.

Literacy is an individual's ability to understand, use and analyze information through various forms of language. Literacy includes understanding reading, writing and arithmetic, as well as the ability to process information critically and creatively. Through training in making media, comics and sketchbooks. Training activities are carried out in three stages, namely preparation, implementation and evaluation. Where training activities were carried out twice at the Sidomulyo Kulon Progo Literacy House. This training activity supports increasing children's interest in literacy at the Literacy House. Apart from that, the activities and making of wall media, comics and scratchbook can increase children's creativity.

The aim of this research is to describe the reading interest of fifth-grade students at SD 101776 Sampali, identify the contributing factors, and seek solutions to improve it. The subjects of this study are the fifth-grade students of SD Negeri 101776 Sampali. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques include interviews and questionnaires to ensure objective data gathering. Based on observations and interviews with the fifth-grade teacher at SD Negeri 101776 Sampali, supported by distributing questionnaires to the students, it was found that students show little enthusiasm for reading and seldom seek out answers on their own. Instead, they often ask for answers that are already available in the reading materials. Students tend to read only when instructed by the teacher. Even reading textbooks is often done only when there are exams or tests. The low interest in reading among students is also influenced by the type of reading materials available. Typically, students are required to read materials related to their school subjects and are pressured by upcoming exams. This leads to a situation where students view reading as a means to achieve grades rather than for enjoyment.

The aim of this research is to determine the effect of using comic media on students' reading interest at SD 1 Menawan. This research uses quantitative methods with the research method being Quasi Experiment (quasi experiment). Data collection techniques used in this research include interview guides, comics and questionnaires. The respondents in this study were all students in grades IV and V as the control and experimental classes at SD 1 Menawan. Data analysis techniques were processed and analyzed using SPSS 20 data processing software. The research data obtained was carried out by normality test, hypothesis test, and t-test. The sig value was obtained from the results of the t-test of the two variables of the experimental class and the control class of 0.000 < 0.05, it can be concluded that Ho was rejected, which means that the use of comic media as a teaching material has an effect on the increase in students' interest in reading at SD 1 Menawan.

The author conducted a practicum at the Murah Hati Masyarakat Indonesian Orphanage. The practice carried out by the author is to research the problems experienced by orphanage children. The problems experienced by orphanage children are the lack of interest in reading orphanage children so that they experience difficulties in learning and lack of confidence. From these problems, the author is interested and makes a goal to increase the interest in reading and counting orphanage children by creating a mini project, namely a reading corner. The author uses the stages of social groupwork in his research from the preparation stage to the termination stage. After doing all the stages of social groupwork, the results are expected by the author so that the orphanage children can continue their interest in reading and counting so that they do not have difficulties in learning and increase their knowledge and confidence to socialize.

Pembelajaran berbasis kritis diakui sebagai pendekatan yang efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir analitis dan pemahaman teks akademik pada anak usia dini. Studi ini bertujuan mengevaluasi efektivitas strategi ini dalam konteks pendidikan Indonesia, di mana minat baca dan kemampuan literasi masih rendah. Metode yang digunakan meliputi tinjauan literatur dan observasi lapangan di TK Kartika 1-1. Tinjauan literatur menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran berbasis kritis dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan pemahaman teks akademik, dengan anak-anak yang terlibat dalam aktivitas kritis menunjukkan kemampuan analitis, sintesis, dan evaluasi yang lebih baik. Observasi lapangan mendukung temuan ini, menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam kemampuan membaca dan memahami teks akademik, serta partisipasi aktif dalam diskusi kelas. Guru melaporkan bahwa strategi ini tidak hanya meningkatkan pemahaman siswa tetapi juga motivasi dan keterlibatan mereka dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menyarankan pentingnya integrasi strategi pembelajaran berbasis kritis dalam kurikulum pendidikan anak usia dini, serta pelatihan yang memadai bagi guru untuk mengimplementasikan pendekatan ini. Meski hasilnya menjanjikan, diperlukan penelitian lebih lanjut dengan sampel lebih besar untuk memastikan generalisasi temuan ini di berbagai konteks pendidikan anak usia dini diIndonesia.

This community service program aims to increase children's interest in reading in Tomuan Village, East Siantar District, Pematangsiantar City, through the establishment of a reading corner. This service uses methods that include preparation, implementation and evaluation. The results of the service show that the reading corner received a positive response from the community, with an increase in children's interest in reading, especially towards picture books and short stories. Children who were initially shy became more enthusiastic and began to explore the various books available. The reading corner is also a means of socialization, where children share stories and interact with each other. In conclusion, this program succeeded in creating a supportive reading environment, improving literacy skills, and forming reading habits from an early age. In this way, it is hoped that the reading corner can produce a generation that is intelligent, responsible and ready to face future challenges.

This research is motivated by the lack of students' reading ability and interest in reading at SMPN 1 Pagu and they prefer fun activities because they think that reading is boring unlike when reading novels, comics and other picture books. So in this case it requires special attention from teachers and parents to provide extra education for children so that they are interested in reading and improve their reading comprehension skills, both at home and especially at school. The formulation of the problem is 1) What is the influence of the Quantum Reading Learning Model on Students' Reading Comprehension Ability in Class Ⅶ Social Sciences Subjects at SMPN 1 Pagu? ; 2) What is the influence of the Quantum Reading Learning Model on Students' Reading Interest in Social Sciences Subjects in Class Ⅶ at SMPN 1 Pagu? . The research objectives in this thesis are 1) To determine the effect of the Quantum Reading learning model on students' reading comprehension abilities in class VII social studies at SMPN 1 Pagu; 2) To determine the effect of the Quantum Reading learning model on students' reading interest in social studies subjects at SMPN 1 Pagu, Kediri Regency in 2023/2024. This research uses a quantitative approach. Quasi experimental type of quantitative research. The population in this study were all class VII students at SMPN 1 Pagu, Kediri Regency. The samples in this research were class VII B students consisting of 36 students and class VII C consisting of 36 students. Data collection techniques use questionnaires and tests. The data analysis technique used is the paired sample T test (Paired Sample T Test). The results of the research show that 1) the Quantum Reading learning model has an influence on the Reading (Comprehension) of Class VII students at SMPN 1 Pagu, Kediri Regency 2023/2024, as evidenced by the obtained significance value (2-tailed) 0.000 < 0.05, so H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. 2) the Quantum Reading learning model influences the reading interest of Class VII students at SMPN 1 Pagu, Tulungahung Regency 2023/2024, as evidenced by the acquisition of students' reading interest with a significance (2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05, so H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan minat baca siswa kelas IV di SD 101764 Bandar Klippa melalui penerapan metode diskusi kelompok. Minat baca yang rendah dapat berdampak pada prestasi akademik dan kemampuan literasi siswa. Oleh karena itu, perlu dilakukan upaya untuk meningkatkannya sejak dini. Metode diskusi dipilih karena dapat menciptakan suasana belajar yang aktif, interaktif, dan menyenangkan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Subjek penelitian adalah 25 siswa kelas IV SDN 101764 Bandar Klippa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan observasi, angket, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan teknik deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan minat baca siswa setelah diterapkannya metode diskusi. Pada siklus I, persentase siswa yang berminat membaca adalah 64%, kemudian meningkat menjadi 88% pada siklus II. Kesimpulannya, penerapan metode diskusi dalam pembelajaran terbukti efektif untuk meningkatkan minat baca siswa kelas IV.

This research aims to describe the role of tutors in increasing the reading interest of residents studying the Package B program at the Class II A Correctional Institution in Samarinda. The subject of this research was obtained from the results of data collection in the form of interviews, observation and documentation. This research uses descriptive research methods with a qualitative approach. Data sources in this research include the PKBM chairman, tutors, and students studying at the Class II A Correctional Institution. The research location is on Jl. General Sudirman No. 15, Pasar Pagi Village, Samarinda Kota District. Meanwhile, data analysis techniques in this research use data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. Triangulation was carried out to explain the validity of the data using source interviews and techniques. The results of the research show that: The role of tutors in increasing the reading interest of learning residents in the package B equality education program at the Class II A Correctional Institution for Learning Residents has fulfilled its role as seen from how the role of the teaching staff or tutor carries out its 4 roles, namely as informator, facilitator, motivator , and evaluators.

This research aims to determine the role of literacy activities in increasing students' interest in reading and writing. This research is qualitative research in the form of library research, namely a method of collecting data, understanding and researching theories from various scientific literature. Collecting data by searching for sources and constructing them from various sources such as books, journals and existing research. The research results show that literacy indirectly motivates students to be interested in reading and writing activities. From literacy activities, students are interested in taking part in writing, storytelling or reading competitions organized by the school with a high sense of responsibility. Literacy can provide benefits for students, for example increasing insight, making it easier to read and understand the material being studied. By building and maintaining a strong literacy culture, society can create an environment that supports and stimulates interest in reading and writing among all generations
