Leadership in educational organizations, especially in the Darul Hikmah Modern Islamic Boarding School in Medan, faces the challenges of modernity that demand integration between traditional spiritual values and management professionalism. This study aims to analyze the existing leadership structure and design a new structure that integrates the Transformational, Distributive, and Instructional models that are aligned with the local wisdom of North Sumatra, namely the Dalihan Na Tolu philosophy. The method used is qualitative case analysis with observation and interviews. The results of the analysis show that the current leadership is dominated by charismatic and centralistic styles (strong Transformational), but weak in the Distributive dimension (low teacher participation) and Adaptive Technology Instructional. The proposed new leadership structure design emphasizes the formation of a Quality Supervisory Board (DPM) and the Head of Human Resources & Regeneration. This new model places the Kyai/Head of the Islamic Boarding School as the spiritual authority (Hula-hula), Mudir/Executive Director as the managerial change agent (Dongan Tubu), and strengthens the academic/innovation function (Boru). The conclusion suggests that leadership transformation in this Islamic boarding school requires a shift from a figure-based system to a competency-based and collaborative system, making it an adaptive, professional institution firmly rooted in local values.

This community service addresses the critical struggle of students at SMP Taruna Islam Al-Kautsar (SMP TI Al-Kautsar) to understand the major psychological and emotional changes during adolescence. This lack of clarity often led to confusion and challenges in self-adjustment, pointing out a significant gap in the school's existing guidance support. The main goal was to solve this by creating and implementing an Integrative Mentoring Model (IMM). This model directly explained their developmental stages using three key psychological frameworks: Kohnstamm, Oswald Kroh, and Jean Piaget. We followed a hands-on Participatory Action Research (PAR) method, where 50 adolescent students actively joined six specialized, interactive workshops and group coaching sessions over two weeks. The activity showed clear success, as students displayed much stronger self-awareness regarding their cognitive and emotional growth after the program. They reported increased confidence and began using the developmental theories to better understand their peers and manage their own changes. The IMM effectively translated complex academic concepts into practical life knowledge. This success confirms the IMM as a valuable, theory-backed framework for enhancing student well-being and adaptation in other religious educational settings.

Pneumonia is one of the leading causes of mortality in children under five, especially those living in households with active smokers. This study aims to determine the risk of pneumonia in toddlers from smoking families in the working area of Meuraxa Public Health Center, Banda Aceh City. The research used a case-control design with 33 respondents, consisting of 11 cases (toddlers with pneumonia) and 22 controls (toddlers without pneumonia). Data collection was conducted through a structured questionnaire and analyzed using the chi-square test. The findings revealed that the prevalence of pneumonia among toddlers from smoking households was 33.3%. There were significant associations between pneumonia incidence and several factors, including nutritional status (p = 0.024), immunization status (p = 0.034), exclusive breastfeeding (p = 0.027), parental smoking behavior inside the house (p = 0.009), and household ventilation (p = 0.017). Toddlers who were not exclusively breastfed, had poor nutritional status, incomplete immunization, poor air ventilation, and exposure to cigarette smoke at home were at higher risk of developing pneumonia. This study emphasizes the vital role of the family in creating a healthy, smoke-free home environment that supports children's well-being. Community-based interventions and educational programs are essential to prevent pneumonia and improve the quality of life of children, particularly in urban public health areas like Meuraxa.

This study is motivated by the moral and spiritual crisis affecting modern leadership systems, where the exercise of power often prioritizes material and political interests over ethical values and social responsibility. In this context, the concept of Malay Islamic Leadership is considered relevant as an alternative model that integrates moral, spiritual, and local cultural values to establish a just and civilized governance framework. The purpose of this study is to describe the fundamental principles of Malay Islamic leadership, analyze the implementation of its moral and spiritual values, and assess its relevance in addressing the challenges of modern leadership. The research employed a qualitative descriptive method using secondary data obtained through literature reviews of books, journal articles, and academic documents discussing Islamic leadership and Malay culture. The results indicate that Malay Islamic leadership is founded on the values of amanah (trustworthiness), ‘adl (justice), hikmah (wisdom), and syura (consultation), while taqwa (piety) serves as the core of a leader’s spirituality. These values are proven to be relevant in the modern context as they address ethical crises, strengthen leaders’ integrity, and reorient leadership toward service and the welfare of the community.

The success of this management is highly dependent on the administrator's ability to analyze the external environment, understand the position of competitors, optimize internal potential, and formulate superior strategies that are able to maintain competitiveness without ignoring the fundamental values of education. In this context, the application of marketing management becomes an important need. This study aims to analyze marketing management in increasing public trust in the Darul Hikmah Islamic Boarding School in Tulungagung. This study uses a qualitative phenomenological approach with data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis is carried out through data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusion/verification. The results of the study indicate that the marketing strategy of the Darul Hikmah Islamic Boarding School in Tulungagung in building public trust is implemented through four main elements: (1) Product – offering quality educational services with character strengthening, implementing the curriculum of the Ministry of National Education, Ministry of Religious Affairs, local content, and superior extracurricular programs; (2) Price – affordable registration and administration fees and adjusted to the economic conditions of the community; (3) Place – the location of the Islamic boarding school is strategic, easy to reach, and has a conducive learning environment; and (4) Promotion – conducted through visits to elementary schools, installation of promotional media (billboards, banners, brochures), publication of extracurricular achievements, and utilization of social media such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and the Islamic boarding school's official website.

Puddles after rainfall remain a common environmental issue in urban areas, including in higher education environments. At Sultan Syarif Kasim State Islamic University (UIN Suska) Riau, post-rain flooding often disrupts academic activities and reduces comfort among campus residents. This study aims to identify the locations of post-rain flooding, analyze the contributing factors, and explore the perspectives and proposed solutions of the campus community through a participatory mapping approach. The study employed a qualitative descriptive method supported by Geographic Information System (GIS) spatial analysis. Data were collected through field observations, interviews with students, lecturers, and staff, and GPS-based flood point mapping. Results show that puddles frequently occur in main parking areas, inter-faculty roads, and flat areas around the Student Activity Center. The main causes include inadequate drainage systems, clogged channels due to waste, limited infiltration zones, and impervious surfaces. The campus community suggested solutions such as improving drainage, constructing infiltration wells, and adopting the green campus concept. Participatory mapping proved effective not only for identifying environmental problems but also for raising ecological awareness and shared responsibility among the academic community.

This study was motivated by the importance of dance in fostering aesthetic sensitivity, discipline, and cultural character in the younger generation. However, dance teaching practices in Indonesia are generally uniform and do not take into account the age and developmental stages of students, resulting in suboptimal learning outcomes. Several previous studies (Budiman et al., 2022; Da Ary & Markamah, 2024; Yuliyanti & Budiman, 2023) have shown the weaknesses of dance teaching methods that do not adapt to the characteristics of the participants, resulting in low mastery of techniques, motivation, and understanding of cultural values. Based on these issues, this study aims to examine the application of content, process, and product differentiation in dance learning at the Sobokartti Dance Studio in Semarang, which trains participants aged 4 to 25 years. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the study show the application of teaching that is tailored to age characteristics, ranging from imitative movements in children to reflection on cultural values in adults. These findings prove that differentiated teaching methods are effective in improving the relevance and quality of traditional dance learning. The implication is that this model can be used as a reference for non-formal educational institutions in developing adaptive arts learning that is oriented towards the preservation of local culture.

Patient safety is a critical component of healthcare services, particularly as it directly impacts patient outcomes and the quality of hospital care. Nurses, as the frontline health professionals, play an essential role in implementing patient safety standards. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between nurses’ knowledge and attitudes toward the implementation of patient safety at Baitul Hikmah General Hospital Kendal. A descriptive correlational design with a cross-sectional approach was employed. The study recruited 78 nurses using a total sampling technique, and data were collected through questionnaires that had been previously tested for validity and reliability. The results indicated that the majority of nurses demonstrated good levels of knowledge and attitudes, which were reflected in their adherence to patient safety practices. Bivariate analysis using the Spearman Rho test revealed a significant relationship between nurses’ knowledge (p-value = 0.008; r = 1.000) and attitudes (p-value = 0.008; r = 0.297) with the implementation of patient safety. These findings suggest that better knowledge and positive attitudes among nurses significantly contribute to the proper implementation of patient safety protocols. Consequently, continuous education, training, and awareness programs are necessary to strengthen nurses’ knowledge and attitudes, thereby improving the quality of healthcare services and minimizing risks to patient safety in hospital settings.

This study examines the relationship between nurses’ physical and mental workload and the implementation of patient safety at Baitul Hikmah General Hospital Kendal in 2025. Patient safety is a critical component of healthcare quality, and nurses, as the front-line providers, are directly involved in ensuring that safety standards are consistently maintained. However, high job demands often contribute to both physical and mental workload, which may affect compliance with patient safety practices. The research employed an analytical survey design with a cross-sectional approach, involving a total of 55 nurses from the emergency and inpatient units, selected using a total sampling technique. Data were collected through structured questionnaires assessing physical workload, mental workload, and adherence to patient safety procedures. Descriptive results showed that most respondents were in their productive age group, held a Diploma in Nursing, and had more than five years of clinical experience. The inferential analysis revealed a significant relationship between physical workload and patient safety (p-value = 0.023), whereas no significant relationship was found between mental workload and patient safety (p-value = 0.089). These findings suggest that while physical workload has a measurable impact on the implementation of patient safety, non-physical factors such as emotional maturity, professional responsibility, and coping strategies may play a more crucial role in ensuring safe and effective patient care. The study highlights the need for hospital management to address workload distribution and strengthen supportive measures that enhance nurses’ resilience and adherence to patient safety standards.

This study aims to describe the implementation of discipline values and the obstacles faced at MI Darul Hikmah Agung Jaya. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected from teachers, students, and parents through interviews, observations, and documentation, then analyzed through data reduction, display, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was ensured by triangulation of techniques and sources. The findings show that teachers instill discipline values through two main techniques. First, external control, in which teachers give warnings, threats, or punishment to undisciplined students and provide rewards or praise to those who obey the rules. For example, students who consistently complete homework may receive additional grades or verbal appreciation. Second, teachers also become role models, demonstrating punctuality, neat appearance, polite language, and respectful attitudes, thereby fostering discipline by example. Furthermore, teachers apply cooperative control, emphasizing collaboration and agreements between teachers and students. This approach promotes tolerance, respect, and responsibility by involving students in creating and maintaining classroom rules. However, some obstacles were identified. Teachers were sometimes less assertive in enforcing discipline, and limited variation in teaching methods led to student boredom. In addition, inadequate attention, motivation, and parental support negatively influenced students’ discipline, resulting in lateness, incomplete assignments, and other undisciplined behaviors.

This study was motivated by the phenomenon of low learning motivation among students, which is often caused by a lack of parental attention and excessive use of gadgets in daily life. The purpose of this research was to determine and analyze the influence of parenting patterns on student motivation at MI Darul Hikmah. The study employed a quantitative research design using a survey method involving 15 parents of third-grade students as respondents. Data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, observations, and documentation to obtain a comprehensive understanding of the parenting styles applied and their impact on children’s learning motivation. The findings revealed that parental involvement, guidance, and consistent discipline play a crucial role in shaping students’ motivation to learn. Statistical analysis showed that parenting patterns contributed significantly, accounting for 75% of the variation in student motivation, while the remaining 25% was influenced by other factors such as peer environment, teacher support, and internal student interests. These results emphasize the importance of harmonious communication and active participation of parents in guiding their children’s academic growth. Overall, this research highlights that effective parenting characterized by warmth, attention, and support can significantly improve students’ motivation and learning outcomes at the elementary school level.

Magnetic Resonance Cholangio Pancreatography (MRCP) is an important non-invasive imaging technique for the diagnosis of abnormalities in the biliary and pancreatic systems, including pancreatic mass and colletiasis. The use of an additional sequence of Diffusion Weighted Imaging (DWI) with b-value variations and image segmentation is thought to improve the accuracy of mass limit measurements on MRCP checks. This study aims to analyze the effect of b-value variation and image segmentation on the additional sequence of DWI in the MRCP examination of the accuracy of the mass limit measurement. The research used quantitative methods with MRCP image data capture equipped with a DWI sequence with b-value variations, using the matlab method. Image segmentation is performed to identify mass boundaries. Measurement accuracy is analyzed and compared between the variation in b-value and the segmentation techniques used. Research results show that variation of b-value 800 and image segmentation in additional DWI sequences have a significant effect on the improvement of accuracy of mass limit measurement on MRCP examinations. The b-value 800 variation is more optimal than the b-value 50 and the appropriate segmentation method can clarify the mass limit so that it supports a more accurate diagnosis. Sequence variations in b-value and image segmentation in the additional DWI sequences in MRCP examinations play an important role in improving the accuracy of mass limit measurements, which can aid in the diagnosis and management of diseases especially in lesion cases.
