The aim of this research is to find out: (1) How interaction patterns between teachers and deaf students are studied at the Keleyan Bangkalan State Special School; and (2) What factors hinder interaction between teachers and deaf students in learning at the Keleyan Bangkalan State Special School. This qualitative descriptive research interviewed one teacher. Data was collected through observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis and drawing conclusions are data collection techniques. (1) The interaction patterns of teachers and deaf students in learning are shown by the research results: a) the use of verbal patterns, which is carried out by combining verbal and non-verbal communication, so that deaf students can get used to using verbal patterns; b) the use of nonverbal patterns in learning interactions between teachers and students by teaching the alphabet word by word, so that students can understand the material provided. (2) Factors that hinder teacher interaction are a) psychological factors of deaf students because they have low intelligence, which makes it difficult for them to understand the material, and b) semantic factors because deaf students have to repeat lesson material. In addition, teachers try to interpret one word at a time during learning interactions because deaf students have difficulty in semantics.

The school environment requires each other to interact and communicate every day. The problem in research is that deaf students who have hearing impairments need knowledge to be able to coexist with society. Teachers really need the right communication approach so that students can understand what is being conveyed so that there will be a reciprocal relationship between the two. The purpose of this research is to determine teachers' communication approaches in social interactions with deaf students. This research explains how a communication approach is important in the social interactions of deaf students through interactions in classroom learning and also in the school environment. This research uses qualitative research methods using Burgoon's interaction adaptation theory which discusses nine principles in adaptation. This research uses data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews and documentation techniques. The results of this research are that adaptation in the communication approach in social interaction of deaf students requires adapting interaction patterns, varying distance patterns and strategies as well as the importance of behavior in adaptation. Apart from that, in the communication approach the teacher determines communication media in the learning process in the classroom and provides direction to students to increase social interaction. Learning to develop sound and rhythm perception as well as speech development, these activities are efforts made by the school to increase social interaction for deaf students. Communication patterns in teaching at SLB B YPAC Palembang are two-way communication.

With so many types of people with special needs in society, such as the blind, deaf, mentally retarded, quadriplegic, and disabled, the treatment that can be done and provided by the general public should also be carried out differently by adjusting the constraints and needs needed by those with special n (Rosmawati, 2019) (Alim, 2019; Rahayu & Marheni, 2020; Suprapmanto, Nuralifa, Albela, & dkk, 2022; Purba, 2016; Dewi, 2019)eeds. As one of them is the CSOM technique which can be a guide not only for blind people, but also for the wider community when interacting with someone who has visual impairments. The Deaf community, as a minority group, often faces negative stigma from people in their surroundings due to differences in communication culture between Deaf and hearing people. Discriminatory treatment like this can lead to problems such as low quality of life. This is evident in the Deaf community within the Indonesian Deaf Majelis Ta'lim, which was founded out of the concern of its founder who saw the lack of understanding among Deaf Muslims in understanding their religion and God. This study aims to determine the influence of social support on the quality of life of the Deaf community in the Indonesian Deaf Majelis Ta'lim. The study used a quantitative method with 30 Deaf subjects aged over 17 years who have experienced hearing loss since birth or due to other factors. Data collection techniques were carried out using classical assumption tests by testing for normality and linearity, and hypothesis testing using simple linear regression analysis using SPSS 26 for windows. The results showed that the correlation coefficient (R) was 0.769, and the coefficient of determination (R Square) was 0.591, indicating that about 59.1% of the variation in quality of life can be explained by social support. The t-test showed that the calculated t-value of 6.357 exceeded the table t-value of 2.048, which implies that the social support variable (X) has a significant influence on the quality of life (Y).
