One of the main elements affecting patron happiness, particularly in educational settings, is the caliber of library services. For students, the library serves as an essential information source. The expectations of users and the actual services offered, however, frequently diverge. Prior research has demonstrated that high-quality services can boost students' enthusiasm for reading and their contentment with library resources. This study's methodology is quantitative and survey-based. The author selected 57 individuals from the population, all of whom were library patrons. Data collecting methods, including questionnaires and documentation, were employed to get the information required for this investigation. The data analysis's findings demonstrated that the library offered its patrons quite good services. The majority of respondents (22, or 38.6%) selected "Satisfied," indicating that they were happy with the facilities and services offered, particularly with regard to staff services and book collections. The lowest, "Not Satisfied," was reported by as many as two individuals, or 3.5%.

This study examines the depiction of women’s struggles in the novel Perempuan yang Menunggu di Lorong Menuju Laut by Dian Purnomo using Françoise d’Eaubonne’s ecofeminism perspective. The novel highlights a strong connection between women and nature, both of which are subjected to oppression within a patriarchal social structure. The core issue discussed in this research is how female characters in the story respond to various forms of injustice—social, cultural, and ecological—and how the text constructs a parallel between the exploitation of women and the degradation of nature. The purpose of this study is to identify and analyze the forms of resistance expressed by the female characters against gender-based oppression and environmental damage. In addition, the research aims to demonstrate how ecofeminism serves as a critical framework to expose and challenge patriarchal dominance through literature. This research applies a descriptive qualitative method with content analysis. Data were gathered using reading and note-taking techniques, then interpreted based on De’Eaubonne’s ecofeminist theory. The results reveal that women in the novel resist domination through various actions, such as speaking out against injustice, rejecting violence, and raising environmental awareness. Their resistance is portrayed not just as personal defiance but as a collective effort rooted in ecological consciousness. The novel, therefore, becomes a medium that challenges patriarchal norms while proposing a more balanced relationship between humans and nature. In conclusion, this study affirms literature’s role as a powerful tool to voice socio-environmental concerns and promote the empowerment of women as agents of change.

Handaka Vijjananda's Buddhist comic "Aṅgulimāla: True Repentance" depicts the repentance of a ruthless murderer who undergoes spiritual transformation after meeting Gautama Buddha. This story not only conveys Buddhist moral teachings but also reflects the social, cultural, and religious dynamics of ancient Indian society. This study aims to analyze the intrinsic and genetic structures of the Buddhist comic "Aṅgulimāla" using Lucien Goldmann's genetic structuralism approach. The method used is qualitative descriptive, with the primary data source being the comic "Aṅgulimāla." Data collection techniques were conducted through intensive reading and note-taking, while data analysis was conducted by linking the intrinsic elements of the literary work with the socio-historical context and the author's worldview. The results show that the intrinsic structure of the comic "Aṅgulimāla" includes themes of repentance, karma, loving-kindness (metta), and wisdom; strong characters and characterizations; a progressive plot; internal and external conflicts; and a time, place, and social setting that reflect 6th-century BCE Indian society. Meanwhile, its genetic structure reveals human facts such as the caste system, power relations, and social morality, as well as the author's worldview, which emphasizes Buddhist values such as compassion, self-transformation, and hope for human moral change. Thus, genetic structuralism analysis confirms that the comic Aṅgulimāla is a literary work that is not only narrative in nature but also reflects social realities and humanitarian messages relevant to modern life.
