The rapid growth of Sharia-based e-commerce reflects the increasing demand among Muslim consumers for transactions that comply with Islamic principles. However, digital transaction practices still raise various concerns, particularly regarding the clarity of contracts (akad), payment security, and information transparency. This study aims to explain Muslim consumers’ perceptions of the application of the legal maxim al-yaqīn lā yazūlu bi al-shakk in Sharia e-commerce transactions, with a focus on students of the State Islamic University of North Sumatra. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, using in-depth interviews with 10 informants as the primary data source, supported by questionnaire data to identify general tendencies in respondents’ perceptions. The findings reveal that although most respondents understand the maxim theoretically, they have not been able to apply it effectively in digital transaction contexts. The uncertainties experienced by respondents are predominantly triggered by technical factors, such as delays in payment confirmation, rather than shakk in the fiqh sense. Moreover, limited understanding of digital contract mechanisms contributes to uncertainty regarding the moment when a contract is considered legally valid. Information transparency emerges as a key factor in fostering yaqīn, particularly in relation to the clarity of product descriptions and transaction procedures. This study concludes that the application of al-yaqīn lā yazūlu bi al-shakk in Sharia e-commerce remains suboptimal due to limited digital fiqh literacy and insufficient technological reliability, highlighting the need for enhanced digital muamalah education and improved information quality on Sharia e-commerce platform.

This article examines the digitalization of Islamic education management in the Industry 5.0 era by emphasizing a shift from mere “digital administration” to value-based governance. The focus goes beyond adopting applications; it highlights a deeper transformation in how institutions manage processes, data, services, and decision-making to enhance effectiveness, accountability, and alignment with the broader purposes of Islamic education. The article synthesizes key pillars of transformation, including system integration across academic, financial, and learning services, strengthened data governance, capacity building for human resources, and cultural change management. While digitalization may improve efficiency and transparency, the article also discusses recurring risks such as digital divides, organizational resistance, vendor dependency, and ethical/privacy concerns, along with practical mitigation strategies. The main contribution is a conceptual governance framework that connects service performance indicators with institutional values, enabling digital transformation to remain meaningful, trustworthy, and sustainable rather than purely technical or procedural.

The development of digital media has created new spaces for Islamic preaching practices, particularly through social media platforms such as TikTok and YouTube. Amid the proliferation of religious content that may trigger social polarization, preaching based on Ahlussunnah wal Jama’ah (Aswaja) values plays a crucial role in strengthening religious moderation. This study aims to analyze the internalization of Aswaja values tawassuth (moderation), tasamuh (tolerance), and tawazun (balance) in digital da’wah content on TikTok and YouTube from the perspective of Islam Nusantara. This research employs a qualitative approach using content analysis of selected da’wah videos chosen through purposive sampling. The findings indicate that Aswaja values are internalized contextually and adaptively according to the characteristics of each platform. TikTok functions as an effective medium for delivering concise and persuasive messages, particularly related to tolerance and religious moderation, while YouTube serves as a space for deeper, more argumentative, and reflective Islamic discourse. These findings affirm that Aswaja based digital da’wah within the framework of Islam Nusantara plays a strategic role in promoting religious moderation and maintaining social harmony in a plural digital society.

This study, entitled "Analysis of the Application of Sharia Economic Principles in Nuris Medika Fund Management," aims to analyze the extent to which Sharia economic principles are applied in the fund management system at the Nuris Medika healthcare institution. Sharia economic principles emphasize justice, transparency, mutual assistance (ta'awun), and the prohibition of riba (usury), gharar (gharar), and maysir (gambling). This study used a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, field observations, and documentation of managers and related parties at Nuris Medika. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The research results indicate that fund management at Nuris Medika largely adheres to Islamic economic principles, particularly in terms of transparency in fund use, social responsibility, and the implementation of an interest-free system in internal financial transactions. However, several aspects still need to be strengthened, such as the development of more systematic Sharia-based standard operating procedures (SOPs) and increasing Sharia economic literacy among all institution managers. Overall, the implementation of Islamic economic principles at Nuris Medika can be categorized as good and has the potential to become a model for financial management in Islamic boarding school-based healthcare institutions based on Islamic values.

The implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum requires teachers to possess adequate competence in developing contextual and meaningful Madrasah Lesson Plans (RPM). One of the main challenges lies in teachers’ ability to integrate deep learning approaches into instructional planning. This community service program aimed to enhance the competence of teachers at SD IT Al-Markazul Islami in developing deep learning–based Merdeka Curriculum lesson plans. The program employed a structured and participatory approach through training and mentoring activities, including conceptual presentations, group discussions, and hands-on practice in lesson plan development. Evaluation was conducted using a competence questionnaire administered to 20 participating teachers in the pretest and posttest stages. The data were analyzed descriptively. The results indicated that teachers’ competence scores in the pretest ranged from 54 to 63, with a mean score of 58.7, which fell into the moderate category. Following the intervention, posttest scores increased to a range of 89–97, with a mean score of 92.9, categorized as high. The improvement in scores ranged from 33 to 35 points for each participant. These findings demonstrate that the training and mentoring activities were effective in enhancing teachers’ competence in developing lesson plans aligned with the principles of the Merdeka Curriculum and deep learning approaches.

This study critically examines the halal product certification process conducted by the Indonesian Council of Ulama (Majelis Ulama Indonesia, MUI) of South Sulawesi from the perspective of maslahah (public interest). The research is grounded in the urgent need to protect Muslim consumers, particularly in light of the growing consumption of both local and imported products that often lack clear halal status. While numerous studies have explored halal certification at the national level, there remains a significant gap in examining the regional dynamics and implementation of MUI fatwas, especially in South Sulawesi. This study aims to analyze the approaches employed by MUI South Sulawesi in determining halal certification and assess the extent to which maslahah serves as the guiding principle in their process. The research adopts a field research methodology with a descriptive qualitative approach and uses ushuliyyah (Islamic legal methodology) as its analytical framework. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that MUI South Sulawesi consistently upholds the principles of Islamic law in the halal certification process, emphasizing critical ingredients, production processes, and the cleanliness of facilities. Although the use of additives such as coloring and preservatives is permitted, it is contingent upon their halal status and freedom from impurities (najis). This approach reflects a moderate application of maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah, demonstrating adaptability to industrial developments while maintaining a cautious and principled stance. The study underscores the importance of transparency and education for business actors, and recommends further research focusing on post-certification supervision or comparative studies across regions. These findings offer valuable contributions to strengthening Indonesia’s halal assurance system based on the principles of public welfare.

Improving the quality of Islamic boarding school education is essential to meet the demands of modern times and global competition. These institutions are expected not only to produce academically capable students but also those with strong character, noble morals, and spirituality. A key factor influencing the quality of Islamic boarding school education is the organizational commitment of human resources, particularly educators and educational staff. This study examines the role of human resource commitment in enhancing the quality of Islamic boarding school education, using a library research method by reviewing books, journals, and previous studies on organizational commitment and education quality. The findings highlight that organizational commitment, expressed through affective, normative, and sustained commitment, significantly impacts education quality. These dimensions encourage educators and staff to work professionally and responsibly, focusing on quality in both learning and management. Additionally, pesantren leadership and an organizational culture rooted in Islamic values further strengthen this commitment, leading to a positive and sustainable impact on education quality. The study concludes that fostering strong organizational commitment is crucial for improving pesantren education, urging managers to prioritize human resource development through effective management, visionary leadership, and a conducive organizational culture.

This study examines the influence of the MUI Fatwa Number 83 of 2023 concerning the Legal Ruling on Supporting the Palestinian Struggle on the purchasing interest in Israeli products among the Muslim community in Makassar City, from the perspective of Islamic economic law. The main issue addressed is the low level of public awareness and understanding of the fatwa, amid challenges in identifying products affiliated with Israel and the dominance of global consumer culture. Using a quantitative method within the framework of Islamic economic law, this research involved 156 respondents selected through purposive sampling and analyzed using a Likert scale questionnaire, validation and reliability tests, and regression techniques. The findings indicate that the MUI Fatwa Number 83 of 2023 has a positive and significant effect on purchasing interest (p = 0.000); however, the positive direction of the effect reveals a contradiction between the substance of the fatwa which calls for a boycott and the community’s consumption behavior, which continues to maintain an interest in Israeli-affiliated products. This condition reflects a weak awareness of Islamic economic law among the Muslim community in Makassar City. These findings underscore the need to strengthen education, socialization, and the provision of Sharia-compliant product alternatives to enhance the fatwa’s implementation. Thus, the study concludes that the effectiveness of the fatwa in influencing consumer behavior remains suboptimal and requires ongoing strategic support so that the principles of maslahah, hisbah, and Islamic consumption ethics can be realized in community economic practices.

Early marriage is a social phenomenon that still frequently occurs in Indonesia and gives rise to various problems, both from the perspective of state law and socio-religious aspects. From the standpoint of state regulations, early marriage is considered a violation of statutory provisions, particularly the Marriage Law, which stipulates a minimum legal age for marriage in order to protect children's rights. This practice results in various negative impacts, including increased health risks for mothers and children, disruption of educational attainment, economic instability within families, as well as high rates of divorce and domestic violence. From the perspective of Islamic law, early marriage is not absolutely prohibited; however, Islam strongly emphasizes the principles of public welfare (maṣlaḥah), physical and mental readiness, and responsibility in establishing a household. Therefore, Islamic legal solutions to early marriage as a violation of state regulations can be implemented through the maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah approach, which aims to protect life, intellect, and lineage, as well as by supporting state regulations intended to safeguard the rights and welfare of children. Consequently, synergy between Islamic law and state law is essential in preventing early marriage and in creating a healthy and just family structure.

This study analyzes Muhammad Asad's Islamic political thought, which seeks to unite Islamic spiritual values with modern political thought. Asad rejects the limited view that considers Islam merely a ritualistic religion, and asserts that Islam is a value system that governs various aspects of life, including politics and government. Using a qualitative approach and library research methods, this study explores Asad's ideas on the Islamic state, democracy and shura, social justice, and the interaction between religion and the state. The findings of this study show that Asad views the Islamic state as an ethical entity that upholds justice, the rule of law, and moral responsibility. The concept of shura is understood as a type of moral democracy based on the values of justice and public participation. Asad also emphasizes that social justice is an important aspect of Islamic government that supports the welfare of society. Asad's thinking rejects both extreme secularism and absolute theocracy, and offers a model of Islamic politics that is rational, participatory, and based on morality. The relevance of this thinking lies in its ability to provide solutions to the crisis of ethics and justice in modern politics through a combination of spirituality and rationality in government.

This study investigates how faith-based giving can be transformed into measurable development impact in the education sector, focusing on the Global Muslim Philanthropy Fund for Children (GMPFC) established by the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) in partnership with UNICEF. Traditional Islamic philanthropic instruments, such as zakat and sadaqah, often provide short-term relief but lack structured governance, limiting their long-term impact on educational outcomes. Using a qualitative-explorative, this research analyzes secondary data from 2021–2025, including institutional reports, program documents, and peer-reviewed literature, to assess how GMPFC operationalizes faith-based resources through pooled, multilateral, and impact-oriented mechanisms. The findings indicate that GMPFC strategically funds education-enabling conditions, including child health, nutrition, psychosocial wellbeing, and youth empowerment, which are empirically linked to school readiness, retention, and learning quality. Comparative analysis shows that GMPFC outperforms traditional philanthropy and conventional aid by combining cultural legitimacy, institutional rigor, and alignment with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Its governance model ensures standardized monitoring, fiduciary oversight, and cross-sectoral integration, addressing longstanding limitations of fragmented philanthropic delivery. Despite its effectiveness, the study highlights a lack of longitudinal learning outcome data, limiting precise quantification of educational impact beyond enabling conditions. Nonetheless, GMPFC exemplifies a hybrid development-finance model, demonstrating how Islamic philanthropic values can be operationalized to generate sustainable, measurable contributions to child education and human capital formation. These findings offer actionable insights for policymakers, development practitioners, and faith-based organizations aiming to scale philanthropic resources for education in vulnerable contexts.

The Islamic conception of science views knowledge as a unity originating from Allah SWT and directed towards realizing human welfare. Islamic science does not separate the rational, empirical, and spiritual dimensions, but rather integrates revelation, reason, and sensory experience in obtaining truth. Science from an Islamic perspective is understood as a human effort to read and understand the verses of kauniyah as a manifestation of God's power in the universe. This study aims to analyze the Islamic conception of science and its relationship with science, and examine the urgency of integrating the two in facing the challenges of modern science. The research method applied in this study is a literature study with a qualitative approach, through descriptive and interpretive analysis of various relevant literature sources. The research findings indicate that the integration between Islamic science and science plays a strategic role in overcoming the scientific dichotomy, strengthening the ethical foundation of science, and building a scientific paradigm oriented towards the values of monotheism and humanity. Thus, the Islamic conception of science and science offers an alternative, holistic and sustainable scientific framework.

Islamic education in Indonesia plays a strategic role in shaping students’ religious character as well as their national identity, and therefore cannot be separated from the ideological foundations of Pancasila and the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI). Islamic education functions not only as a means of transmitting religious values, but also as a medium for internalizing national ideology in line with the goals of national education. This study aims to analyze the ideological foundations of Islamic education based on the values of tauhid, Pancasila, and NKRI, as well as to examine their relevance to national education policies and curricula. This research employs a qualitative approach using a library research design. The data were obtained from secondary sources, including scholarly books, journal articles, education policy documents, and relevant legislation. Data collection was conducted through documentation studies, while data analysis applied a descriptive-analytical method to systematically examine the interrelationships among concepts. The findings indicate that the ideological values of Pancasila are substantively aligned with Islamic teachings, particularly in the aspects of divinity, humanity, unity, deliberation, and social justice. Within the framework of NKRI, Islamic education contributes significantly to the formation of religious-nationalist character and the strengthening of national integration. The integration of Pancasila values, religious moderation, and Islam rahmatan lil ‘alamin into national education policies and curricula, particularly through the Merdeka Curriculum and the Pancasila Student Profile, reflects a systematic effort to develop Islamic education that is adaptive and contextual. The implications of this study emphasize that strengthening the ideological foundations of Islamic education is a crucial prerequisite for producing learners who are faithful, knowledgeable, morally upright, and responsible citizens of Indonesia.

This research aims to critically examine the ethical integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in education through the perspective of maqāṣid al-sharīʿah, emphasizing the alignment between technological innovation and Islamic moral principles. The methods used are a systematic literature review and thematic content analysis against peer-reviewed publications for the period 2015–2025, which discuss the application of AI in primary, secondary, and higher education. The study identified dominant ethical issues, such as data privacy, algorithmic bias, accountability, human agency, and moral development, which were then mapped to Islamic ethical goals, including ʿadl (justice), amānah (belief), karāmah al-insān (human dignity), and ḥifẓ al-ʿaql (protection of reason). The results of the analysis show that the adoption of AI in education often emphasizes efficiency, personalization, and predictive analytics, but has the potential to reduce learners' autonomy and ethical reasoning. The mapping of maqāṣid al-sharīʿah shows a strong normative conformity, so that Islamic principles can be a moral foundation as well as a practical guide for AI governance. The research contribution is theoretical by bridging the literature on AI ethics and Islamic educational philosophy, as well as practical by offering an integrative framework for AI policymakers, educators, and developers. The integration of maqāṣid al-sharīʿah in AI governance ensures justice, trust, inclusivity, and the development of the whole human being (insān kāmil).

The era of globalization and the rapid advancement of information technology have transformed the landscape of dakwah (Islamic propagation), shifting from conventional pulpits to virtual communication platforms (social media, podcasts, streaming). This transition, in line with the Diffusion of Innovation Theory, enables Islamic messages to reach a broad audience without geographical boundaries. Digital dakwah is highly relevant and urgent to research given the dominant use of social media by Muslim Youth, a group that seeks attention but also possesses a tendency toward critical thinking. This research has a dual aim: (1) to analyze the Interpretation of Muslim Youth towards virtual dakwah studies, and (2) to analyze the Effectiveness of Implementing Dakwah Studies through social media platforms. The accessibility of fragmented and competitive content makes the interpretation process active and crucial, where youth are no longer passive recipients but choose sources based on algorithms and their own interests. This study uses the Constructivism Paradigm to understand a dynamic and complex social reality, employing a Descriptive Qualitative Approach and the Online Ethnography Method. Data is collected through Observation, Interviews, and Documentation, with Data Triangulation (source, technique, and time) to ensure the validity of the findings. Social media holds great potential as an effective and inclusive dakwah tool. However, the effectiveness of its expansion must be balanced with the quality of the content and the capacity of Muslim Youth to perform critical, contextual, and responsible interpretation.
