This study aims to analyze the effect of different mordant types on the quality of ecoprinted scarves, particularly in terms of color sharpness and motif clarity. A controlled experimental method was conducted by testing three types of mordants—alum, sodium acetate, and iron sulfate—on cotton fabric using the pounding technique. Each treatment was evaluated by 30 respondents to ensure statistical validity.  The results revealed significant differences (p<0.05) among the three mordants, with alum demonstrating the best performance, achieving a color sharpness score of 3.8 and motif clarity of 3.7, followed by iron sulfate (3.2 for color and 3.1 for motif), while sodium acetate yielded the lowest scores (2.6 for color and 2.9 for motif). The superiority of alum is attributed to the optimal fixation capability of Al³⁺ ions and pH stability within the range of 5.2–5.8. The research instruments were validated (r=0.92) and reliable (α=0.89).  These findings provide significant contributions to the advancement of ecoprinting techniques, particularly in mordant selection for producing high-quality textile products.

Auctions in Indonesia serve a dual function not only as a mechanism for buying and selling to obtain optimal prices, but also as a legal enforcement tool that reflects both the public and private aspects of the auction process. This study aims to analyze the legal standing of the auction minutes deed (akta risalah lelang) in providing legal certainty for auction winners, particularly concerning ownership of vehicles resulting from the execution of state-confiscated assets. This study employs a normative approach, which examines law as a set of norms applicable within society and functions as a guideline for individual behavior. In this context, the auction minutes deed is regarded as an authentic deed; however, its existence does not automatically serve as legitimate proof of ownership for the winning bidder. Nevertheless, the deed still ensures legal certainty by demonstrating the good faith of the buyer and can serve as the legal basis for transferring vehicle ownership documents, proof of the sales transaction, and valid legal evidence.

This study explores the metaphor of life in Colleen Hoover’s novel Reminders of Him, aiming to identify the types of linguistic metaphors and analyze the conceptual metaphors that underlie them. Based on Lakoff and Johnson’s conceptual metaphor theory, which classifies metaphors into structural, ontological, and orientational categories, this study highlights the role of metaphor as a cognitive tool, not merely a stylistic device. A qualitative method was employed, with data collected using AntConc software by focusing on parts of the novel containing the word “life.” The Metaphor Identification Procedure was applied to identify linguistic metaphors, which were then categorized based on the word class of the lexical units that were used metaphorically. The results of this study show four types of linguistic metaphors involving the noun “life”: nominal, verbal, adjectival, and prepositional. These forms portray life as a physical object, a process, a possessed attribute, or a container. These linguistic metaphors reflect eight conceptual metaphors, including five ontological metaphors (life is ownership, life is a container, life is an entity, life is air, life is a place) and three structural metaphors (life is a machine, life is a journey, life is a challenge). The diversity of these conceptual metaphors illustrates the rich representation of life in the novel.

In Indonesia and many other EFL contexts, English is often taught in structured classroom settings that rely on scripted dialogues and controlled practice. This limits students’ exposure to spontaneous, real-life communication, reducing their ability to use English naturally and appropriately in authentic situations. This study investigates the pragmatic competence of Indonesian students during English interview interactions with foreign tourists, using Grice’s Cooperative Principle as the theoretical framework. Five video recordings were analyzed, featuring elementary and secondary students conducting unscripted interviews with tourists at Seminyak Beach, Bali. While the students generally demonstrated adequate grammatical control and vocabulary range, the findings reveal recurring challenges in sustaining natural and cooperative conversations. The most frequent violations involved the Maxims of Relation, Quantity, and Manner, with students often failing to respond appropriately to tourist answers, providing minimal elaboration, or speaking in unclear and disorganized ways. The results highlight the need for English language teaching to include explicit instruction in pragmatic skills, such as turn-taking, topic development, and interactional awareness.

This classroom action research aims to improve students' memory in learning the "Degree of Comparison" material by implementing the Numbered Head Together cooperative model. The study was conducted at SMAN 2 Pamekasan with 34 students of class XI-C1 as subjects. The research was carried out in two cycles consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data were collected through observation, test, and documentation. The indicators measured included two cognitive aspects, namely: (1) ability to recall comparative and superlative structures, task completion accuracy, cooperation in group work, and adherence to instructions. The results showed a significant increase in students' memory levels. At the pre-cycle stage, only 11.8% of students were in the high category, in cycle I increased to 44.1%, and in cycle II reached 73.5%. This proves that the NHT model is effective in improving students' memory and understanding of English grammar topics and is expected to develop collaborative learning.

This study aims to identify the phonological differences shown by two three-year-old boys, namely Galfin Yasasi Habbika and Muhammad Arkhan Al Hafiz with different family backgrounds in Pangalengan, Bandung, and it analyzed the environmental factors and parental roles that contribute to variations in their phonological acquisition. This Study uses descriptive qualitative method with the data were conducted through video documentation of natural interactions and interviews with the parents of both children. The data collected were 18 utterances from each child which were then analyzed based on phonological aspects to identify error patterns, compensation strategies, and articulation skills. The findings showed that the two children has different phonological development patterns with Galfin showing more conservative phonological strategy by maintaining the original word structure, and people interaction environment from digital medias showing good phonological awarenees in Indonesian language development. While Arkhan showed more active phonological reconstruction by transforming difficult words into more easly produced form with a family environment that often made direct correction to Arkhan’s phonological errors which more stable and consistent phonological structure. Their phonological development was also successfully achieve through a variety of consistent support strategies that were responsive to the child’s emotional state and learning style. The result of this study support Chomsky’s Language Acquisition Device theory, in which both children demonstrated an innate capacity for language learning while showing how environmental triggers activated and shaped this biological predisposition because the children's ability to produce complex phonological structures without explicit instruction supports the nativist perspective on language acquisition.

This study aims to examine the implementation of the storytelling method as an effective strategy in character education in elementary schools. In the challenging era of globalization, students are not only required to be academically intelligent, but also to have strong characters and noble morals. The rapid flow of information and changes in social values that occur require a learning approach that is able to build the moral foundation of students from an early age. The storytelling method is present as one solution because it is able to convey character values in a fun, contextual, and touching way for children's emotions. This study uses a qualitative literature study approach, by reviewing various research results, scientific journals, articles, and books related to the application of the storytelling method in character learning. The results of the study show that stories can instill the values of honesty, responsibility, empathy, tolerance, and cooperation more meaningfully. The active involvement of teachers as storytellers and learning facilitators has a major influence on building students' emotional involvement and creating a positive learning atmosphere. This study aims to identify and analyze the challenges faced by novice teachers in implementing a dual curriculum—which includes the national curriculum and Islamic curriculum—in Islamic Elementary Schools (SDI). The dual curriculum in SDI requires integration between mastery of general knowledge and instilling strong Islamic values. However, in practice, novice teachers experience various difficulties, ranging from limited understanding of the two types of curriculum, heavy administrative burdens, to social and cultural pressures of religious schools. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach based on literature studies, by analyzing relevant academic literature from journals, proceedings, and scientific books in the last ten years. The results of the analysis show that novice teachers experience challenges in pedagogical, structural, psychological, and cultural aspects. They often feel unprepared to develop integrative teaching materials, manage time effectively, and meet institutional and parental expectations. The lack of mentoring, training, and assistance programs also worsen the situation, causing work stress and the risk of burnout. This study concludes that the challenges faced by novice teachers in the context of the dual curriculum are systemic and require a structured and sustainable solution approach, such as strengthening integrated training, integrating curriculum management, and developing a professional development system that supports the pedagogical and spiritual development of novice teachers.
