The support of a cancer patient's family has a significant impact on the experience and treatment outcomes of chemotherapy. Family support encompasses four main dimensions: emotional, esteem, instrumental, and informational. The presence of emotionally supportive family members can reduce stress levels and improve the mental well-being of patients. Cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy often experience feelings of sadness, despair, and a loss of interest in activities. Some even discontinue chemotherapy. This study aims to investigate the relationship between family support and the stress levels of chemotherapy patients in the Anggrek Tewu Room at RSUD dr. Murjani Sampit. This research employs a quantitative research method, a cross-sectional research design, and total sampling technique. The sample consists of 45 individuals. A questionnaire instrument is used, and Spearman Rank statistical test is applied to examine the relationship between family support and the stress levels of chemotherapy patients. The statistical analysis results with Spearman rho show that the ? value is 0.160 where (? = 0.05), so ?>?, thus Ha is rejected, meaning: "There is no relationship between family support and the stress levels of chemotherapy patients in the Anggrek Tewu Room at RSUD dr. Murjani Sampit." The research concludes that the stress levels depend on the characteristics of the chemotherapy patients themselves and how individuals cope with the life problems they face. One of the factors is an individual's beliefs and health values, as well as their ability to determine a treatment program for their own mental readiness to accept changes both physically and socially and the effects of chemotherapy.

Burglary involves forced or unauthorized entry, which leads to damage or loss of property having monetary or emotional value and, more severely, puts lives at risk. The dire need for the safety of lives and properties has attracted so much research on burglary alert system using Internet of Things (IoT) technology. Most of the research focused on alerting the users of burglary attempts using any or a combination of two notification methods: SMS, call, and email. This study emphasizes three-mode notification that combines SMS, call, and email using the application of IoT technology in a burglary alert system, which uses a Passive Infrared (PIR) sensor for burglar detection to ensure that Homeowners or authorized personnel get alerts in events of imminent attempt to break-ins. The study also details the sensor integration with its supporting components, such as the central hub or microcontroller, buzzer, LED, and network interface in the development of the system. The software was developed to facilitate seamless integration with the hardware, ensuring timely and accurate event detection and subsequent alert generation using Arduino IDE programming language, a framework based on the C++ language. The system effected the 3-mode notification to ensure that users get notification in case of an imminent break-in since the failure of the three modes simultaneously is extremely rare. The system’s performance based on its responsiveness on the 3-mode notifications was evaluated, and an average of 83.56% responsiveness was obtained, indicating an acceptable response time.

This study investigates the impact of a Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) intervention on student motivation and academic self-efficacy in junior high schools in Indonesia. The research utilized a quasi-experimental design with pre-test and post-test assessments to measure changes in intrinsic motivation and academic self-efficacy among the participants. A total of 200 students were divided into an experimental group, which participated in the SEL program, and a control group, which did not receive the intervention. The SEL program, delivered over one semester, focused on improving students' emotional regulation, social skills, and self-awareness, with an emphasis on autonomy, competence, and relatedness. The results demonstrated significant improvements in both intrinsic motivation and academic self-efficacy for the experimental group, with average increases of +19.2 and +17.4 points, respectively. Statistical analysis showed that the SEL intervention had a significant positive effect, with t-values of 7.56 (motivation) and 6.32 (self-efficacy) and p-values less than 0.01. In contrast, the control group exhibited minimal changes in both variables. These findings suggest that SEL interventions can foster a more balanced approach to learning by enhancing both emotional and academic development. The study highlights the importance of incorporating SEL programs into the curriculum to support students' holistic growth and academic success.

Hypertension, often called the "silent killer," is a leading non-communicable disease contributing to high mortality and morbidity, particularly in the elderly. As individuals age, peripheral blood vessel elasticity decreases, increasing vascular resistance and leading to systolic hypertension, commonly seen in older adults. Hypertension requires long-term treatment, which can result in non-compliance among elderly patients. Family support plays a crucial role in assisting and encouraging adherence to treatment regimens. This quantitative correlation study, with a cross-sectional approach, aimed to examine the relationship between emotional family support and treatment compliance in elderly hypertensive patients. The study was conducted at the Sei Agul Health Center, with a sample size of 65 elderly individuals selected using the Slovin formula and purposive sampling technique in October 2023. The Morisky Medication Adherence Scale (MMAS-8) was used to measure treatment compliance, while the emotional support instrument was developed by the researcher. Data were analyzed using the chi-square test, showing a significant relationship between emotional family support and treatment compliance (p-value < 0.05). The findings conclude that emotional support from family positively influences the compliance of elderly patients undergoing hypertension treatment at the Sei Agul Health Center. Health workers are encouraged to involve families in supporting hypertensive patients to enhance treatment outcomes.
