This study examines the dynamics of Christian families in navigating modern lifestyles, focusing on the congregation of GKII Efata Bonet Engkabang. Modernity characterized by digitalization, high mobility, economic pressure, and shifting social values has significantly influenced family communication patterns, emotional relationships, and spiritual formation within Christian households. The purpose of this study is to describe the changes experienced by congregational families in the context of modernity and to analyze the role of pastoral counseling as a relevant form of support for family well-being. This research employed a descriptive qualitative method, collecting data through in-depth interviews, limited observations, and a review of church documents. The findings indicate that Christian families face challenges such as declining communication quality, reduced family time, the pervasive influence of gadgets on daily interactions, and weakened spiritual disciplines. This study examines the implementation of sakinah (tranquilty) family development at the religious affairs office (KUA) of Medan Denai subdistrict, North Sumatera Utara, Indonesia, trough the Qur'anic perspective of Surah Ar-Rum verse 21 as interpreted in Tafsir Al-Misbah by M. Quraish Shihab. The verse elucidates one of Allah's signs in creating spouses from among humankind to attain tranquility (sakinah), affection (mawaddah), and mercy (rahmah) within marital bonds. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews with religious counselors and newlywed couples, and documentation analysis of premarital counseling programs at KUA Medan Denai. Findings reveal that the office has integrated the triadic values of sakinah, mawaddah, and rahmah into its premarital guidance modules grounded in contextual Qur'anic interpretation. However, post-marital follow-up remains limited, affecting sustainability. Tafsir Al-Misbah provides a robust conceptual framework by interpreting sakinah as spiritual serenity rooted in faith, mawaddah as active emotional commitment, and rahmah as divine compassion manifested in daily family interactions. The study concludes that optimizing sakinah family development requires strengthening thematic Qur'anic-based counseling modules and establishing continuous post-nuptial mentoring to foster families that are spiritually grounded, emotionally resilient, and socially responsible. This research contributes to the discourse on integrating classical Qur'anic exegesis with contemporary family counseling practices in Indonesia's religious bureaucracy.

Chronic Energy Deficiency (CED) in pregnant women is a major nutritional challenge in Indonesia, including in Bukittinggi. Despite proper health service utilization, the burden of CED is relatively high and has a non-economic component that includes cultural and family social support.  The influence of the husband on the nutritional status of pregnant women is frequently overlooked by prevention and control strategies. This study sought to investigate husbands' thoughts and roles in the prevention of  CED  in pregnant women in  Bukittinggi.  The present study employed a qualitative phenomenological research design including 15 husbands of pregnant women (experienced and non-experienced  CED)  and  5–7  triangulation informants  (pregnant women and health workers).  Semi-structured interviews and non-participatory observations provided the data, while  NVivo  12  was employed for thematic analysis. Source triangulation and member checking validate the data. The results indicate that the majority of husbands do not understand CED scientifically and view their support solely as financial assistance. Although emotional and informational motivations can affect positive nutritional behaviors, they are still regarded as weaknesses. Among the external barriers are costs, long hours of work, and a patriarchal culture that severely restricts husbands' ability to be involved in their wives' nutritional problems. However, some informants have indicated a value shift that prioritizes emotional involvement over intellectual focus.  The  intervention strategies for future implementation should be family-based with a primary focus on couples' nutrition education, emotional  strengthening,  and  the  inclusion  of  males  in  maternal  health  programs  (e.g.,  paternity-readiness sessions

This research aims to underscore the significance of women's emotional intelligence in enhancing the effectiveness of the Board of Directors, a crucial component of internal governance, particularly during crises. Despite strides made in recent decades in appointing women to senior roles in government, business, and education, challenges persist in improving women's leadership opportunities, especially in developing countries. The study utilizes statistical methods, including Pearson's correlation, to analyze the relationships between variables within a sample of banks listed on the Iraqi securities market, comparing periods before and during the COVID-19 pandemic (2019 and 2020). The goal is to measure the impact of female emotional intelligence on the Board of Directors' ability to manage crises, focusing on variables such as conservative accounting policies, Board compensation and benefits, meeting frequency, the ratio of external auditor fees to enterprise capital, enterprise capital, share profitability, and the market-to-share profitability ratio. Findings indicate that emotional intelligence (measured by the number of females on the Board) positively influences conservative accounting policies and meeting frequency during crisis periods. Conversely, the pre-crisis period showed a negative relationship, suggesting a proactive and risk-responsive stance by women during crisis. Additionally, the study observed an inverse relationship between crisis periods and both Board compensation and external auditor fee ratios, implying a cost-reduction strategy facilitated by female emotional intelligence. The crisis period also saw an increase in the profitability of individual shares and the market-to-share profitability ratio. The research recommends expanding the study to compare the role of emotional intelligence in Boards between developing and developed economies.

This research aims to describe and evaluate the accompaniment in the implementation of donations to orphans during the 10th Muharram commemoration in Kelurahan Kumai Hilir, which is an annual tradition with significant social and religious values. The main focus of this study is the effectiveness of the implementation, where there are shortcomings in planning, committee coordination, and the distribution of donations, which are often uneven and not well-targeted. To understand these dynamics, this study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation methods, involving various parties such as the organizing committee, community leaders, and orphans as beneficiaries. The data obtained shows that the accompaniment provided during the donation process successfully improved various important aspects, including active participation of the local community in the event, improvements in the coordination system among the previously unstructured committee, and ensuring that donation distribution became more targeted and fair. In addition to material benefits, the orphans who received donations felt better emotional support, with more attention from the community that was more directly involved in the donation process. This activity also played a role in strengthening social solidarity among residents, making the 10th Muharram commemoration not only a moment for giving donations but also an opportunity to build stronger social ties between the community and the beneficiaries. With this accompaniment, it is hoped that the donation tradition in Kelurahan Kumai Hilir can continue to develop in a more organized manner and have a more significant impact on the well-being of orphans as well as the social life of the community as a whole.

Immunization via injection can cause immediate pain in children. Pain that occurs as a result of immunization injections, if not managed properly, can have a negative impact on the child's emotional aspects such as crying and fear. This research uses a quasi-experimental method with a one group pretest-posttest design approach. The sample involved in this research was 64 respondents, selected using Probability Sampling techniques. The research results show that based on the Paired T-Test statistical test, the p-Value value for the influence of the 5S Method (Swaddling, Side-Stomach, Shushing, Swinging, Sucking) is 0.000. Because p < 0.05, the Alternative Hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and the Null Hypothesis (H0) is rejected. Thus, it can be concluded that the 5S Method (Swaddling, Side-Stomach, Shushing, Swinging, Sucking) has a significant influence on the Infant's Pain Response After Basic Immunization at the Dahlia Makassar Community Health Center. The suggestion is that the 5s method be an alternative for treating pain experienced by babies as an effort to minimize pharmacological therapy.
