The development of digital da'wah demands a more in-depth, comprehensive, and data-driven methodological approach. However, contemporary da'wah research is still dominated by descriptive analysis that stops at mapping surface phenomena without exploring the underlying causal factors that determine the long-term effectiveness of da'wah. This weakness is increasingly apparent in the use of SWOT analysis, which has been widely applied in da'wah studies, but tends to be limited to producing categorization tables without an operational epistemic basis. Meanwhile, the era of digital da'wah presents a new, complex reality, where da'wah success is influenced not only by surface interactions such as the number of viewers, impressions, or follower growth, but also by latent factors such as audience cognitive motivation, platform algorithms, digital cultural context, identity construction, and societal value systems. This study aims to formulate a new methodological model through the integration of SWOT and the Iceberg approach to address this methodological stagnation. The research was conducted using qualitative methods based on literature analysis, comparative studies of strategic analysis models, and the construction of a conceptual model. The results show that the SWOT-Iceberg integration is able to produce a more multidimensional framework for digital da'wah analysis: SWOT diagnoses surface symptoms, while Iceberg explores patterns, causal structures, and mental models that shape phenomena. This combined model enables the development of more accurate, adaptive, and evidence-based da'wah strategies. It is concluded that the SWOT–Iceberg integration significantly contributes to the development of modern da'wah methodology by encouraging a shift from descriptive research to transformative diagnostic analysis, while simultaneously strengthening the scientific character of da'wah as an academic discipline based on a critical and measurable knowledge system.

This study is motivated by the emergence of public controversy surrounding the alleged sexual harassment case involving the preacher Gus Elham, which has sparked widespread debate about ethical boundaries in da’wah activities. This phenomenon reflects a moral and social crisis in contemporary da’wah practices, particularly in relation to power relations, child protection, and the moral responsibility of religious figures as public role models. This study aims to analyze violations of da’wah ethics in this case from moral and social perspectives, as well as to identify its impact on public trust in preachers and religious institutions. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach through the analysis of online news, public statements, social media posts, interview recordings, and da’wah-related content associated with the case. The findings indicate that the actions in question not only violated norms of decency but also revealed a failure to understand principles of child protection and ethics of da’wah based on akhlakul karimah. Socially, the case demonstrates a moral crisis affecting religious authority and an increase in public skepticism toward religious figures. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of formulating stricter da’wah codes of ethics, strengthening ethical literacy among preachers, and integrating child protection values into da’wah practice to prevent similar cases from recurring.

In this era of digital disruption, Islamic banks face significant challenges in maintaining public trust. Despite growth in assets and market share, many believe that Islamic banks operatein much the same way as conventional banks, while financing marginsare often considered higher than conventional bank interest rates. This perception contributes to low public trust, declining interest in saving, and public hesitation in using Islamic financing products. This study aims to explore how entrepreneurialinnovation and internalization of da'wah values canbe strategies to rebuild public trust in Islamic banks. Using the library research method, this study analyzes secondary data from scientific journals, reports, andliterature related to Islamic banking, digital transformation, and Islamic managerial ethics Islam. The results of the study show that the integration of dakwah princip lessuch as transparency, fairness, and ethical management in entrepreneurial practicesand digital innovation can strengthen public trust andincrease the competitiveness of Islamic banks. This study provides theoretical and practical insights for Islamic banks to align digital innovation and business strategies with core Islamic values, there by supporting financial sustainability and social legitimacy.

This study explores the dissemination of Sufi teachings through the TikTok account @Al.Amiin.id, highlighting how visual aesthetics, symbolism, and narrative techniques play a role in conveying spiritual messages to young audiences in the digital era. Using a qualitative approach with a critical case study strategy, this research analyses how elements such as colour, light, music, and spiritual metaphors are combined with reflective emotional narratives to preserve the depth of Sufi teachings. Drawing on Stig Hjarvard’s perspective on the mediatization of Religion, the study examines how social media not only functions as a channel for message dissemination but also reshapes religious practices and experiences. The findings reveal that @Al.Amiin.id successfully utilises the logic of digital media—such as short duration, visual aesthetics, algorithms, and trends—as instruments to present Sufism in the form of personal and easily comprehensible micro-narratives. This strategy demonstrates that Sufi preaching undergoes a process of mediatization, in which spiritual values are not merely transmitted but also reconstructed to align with the consumption patterns and cultural sensibilities of digital generations. The study further emphasises that despite the risks of commodification and simplification, Sufi preaching on social media can still preserve its spiritual depth through adaptive approaches. This research contributes to the study of how religious practices are transformed by digital media, offering a model of Sufi preaching that is communicative, inclusive, and relevant in the era of algorithms.

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan proses pemanfaatan teknologi dalam budaya islam menurut perspektif buya hamka, dengan teknologi yang semakin berkembang dan modern membuat budaya islam lebih dikenal secara luas dan mudah, melalui perspektif buya hamka ini islam tidak melarang umat islam untuk ketingglan zaman, asalkan setiap budaya yang dihasilkan dan disebar luskan bisa sesuai syariat islam , sehingga jauh dari kata maksiat dan menyesatkan serta tidak melanggar syariat islam. Penelitian ini memanfaatkan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif untuk mengeksplorasi kontribusi teknologi dalam penyebaran budaya Islam menurut pandangan Buya Hamka. Proses pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui  sistem observasi, wawancara, dan analisis dokumen, yang kemudian dianalisis dengan cara deskriptif merujuk pada teori-teori keislaman dari Buya Hamka. Temuan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Buya Hamka melihat teknologi sebagai sarana yang dapat memperkuat nilai iman dan moral, serta menyebarluaskan ajaran Islam secara inovatif dan interaktif. Pandangannya menekankan pentingnya menemukan keseimbangan antara perkembangan teknologi dan kemajuan spiritual agar teknologi dapat digunakan secara efektif dalam kegiatan dakwah dan pendidikan Islam. Penelitian ini juga menunjukkan relevansi pemikiran Buya Hamka dalam era digital saat ini, di mana media digital memiliki peranan yang signifikan dalam menjangkau masyarakat luas dengan cara yang humanis dan dialogis, sejalan dengan nilai-nilai moral dan budaya Islam.

Islamic da'wah organizations play a strategic role in developing, nurturing, and sustaining religious values within society. The development of da'wah organizations is not only related to strengthening religious understanding but also encompasses managerial dimensions, human resource development, and adaptation to social dynamics. This study aims to identify and analyze the types of development implemented within da'wah organizations, as well as their implications for the effectiveness of da'wah movements in the community. This research employs a qualitative method using a literature study approach, through the examination of scholarly works, institutional documents, and previous research. The findings reveal three main forms of development within da'wah organizations: (1) Religious development, which includes strengthening the understanding of Islamic teachings, internalizing moral values, and enhancing members’ spiritual capacity; (2) Managerial and organizational development, focused on institutional structuring, program management, and da'wah strategy development; and (3) Social community development, which involves empowering the community through education, social services, and activities that foster a religious and civilized society. In conclusion, the development of da'wah organizations requires a comprehensive and sustainable approach to effectively respond to social changes and strengthen the organization’s contribution to character building and the advancement of Islamic civilization.

Language plays a crucial role not only as a means of communication but also as a reflection of the values and character of society. In the context of youth mosque da'wah, the use of polite language is crucial because it influences the effectiveness of conveying religious messages and shaping the morals of listeners. This study aims to examine the application of the principles of polite language in youth mosque da'wah in Karanganyar Regency and efforts to improve it through training activities. The method used was a qualitative approach with observation techniques, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out in three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions interactively. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in the participants' understanding and practice of polite language after attending the training. Based on the questionnaire results, participants' post-test scores increased compared to the pre-test, indicating the effectiveness of the training in strengthening their understanding of the concept of polite speech. Furthermore, observations of da'wah practices showed positive changes in the use of more polite, structured, and empathetic language. This activity not only improved participants' communication skills but also raised awareness of the importance of language ethics in da'wah. Thus, this language politeness training contributes to the character development of mosque youth, helping them become moral, communicative, and civilized young preachers. It is hoped that similar activities can be developed to a more advanced level in the future to strengthen the application of politeness in religious communication among youth.

The development of digital technology has brought about major changes in the spread of da'wah and the implementation of Islamic counseling. Da'wah that used to focus on face-to-face is now transformed through social media and digital platforms, so that religious messages can reach a wider audience without time and space limitations. Digital media presents opportunities for da'i to convey da'wah with varied and interesting content, especially for the younger generation. However, challenges remain, such as the lack of direct emotional interaction and the difficulty of monitoring potentially deviant content. Meanwhile, Islamic counseling in the digital era is developing through online services, either through websites, telephones, chats, and video conferences. These services facilitate access to counselling, reduce distance barriers and social stigma, and provide flexible counseling alternatives. However, online counseling also has weaknesses, such as limitations in reading body language, network technical constraints, and counselors' skills that are not optimal in utilizing technology. Thus, Islamic da'wah and counseling in the digital era require the readiness of human resources, mastery of technology, and the application of good ethics in order to run effectively, professionally, and provide wide benefits to society.

The development of digital technology and social media provides both opportunities and challenges for the preservation of traditional arts such as Wayang Golek from West Java, which is rich in cultural, moral, and Islamic preaching values. Wayang Golek has long served as a medium for da'wah, conveying religious teachings creatively through artistic performances. However, changes in the preferences of younger generations who favor instant digital content put this traditional art at risk of being forgotten. This study uses a qualitative method with a literature study approach to examine the role of social media in revitalizing Wayang Golek as a medium for cultural preservation and Islamic da'wah. The research results show that social media such as YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok play an important role in expanding access and public interest, especially among young people, through interactive and engaging educational content. However, limitations in technological proficiency and lack of support are major obstacles. Social media. It not only functions as a tool for communication and entertainment but also serves as a means of documentation and cultural education that can build virtual communities and a strong cultural identity. This study recommends strengthening digital training for artists, cross-sector collaboration, and creative content innovation to maintain the relevance and sustainability of Wayang Golek in the modern era. Adapting digital technology is an important strategy to align the preservation of traditional arts with the development of the times without losing the essence of cultural values and the messages contained within.

This study examines audience-based digital da'wah and counseling strategies to address communication challenges in the modern era. Digital da'wah is the delivery of Islamic teachings through social media and online platforms, while digital counseling provides psychological and spiritual support through digital communication channels. This study employed a literature review method, analyzing various relevant academic sources. The findings indicate that understanding the audience is crucial to ensuring da'wah and counseling messages remain relevant, targeted, and impactful. Audience segmentation based on age, cultural background, digital literacy, and spiritual and psychological needs is crucial in designing communication strategies. Adjusting language style, selecting appropriate media, and utilizing creative communication methods can increase audience engagement and strengthen the effectiveness of da'wah and counseling. By understanding audience characteristics in depth, digital da'wah and counseling strategies can be delivered more effectively, have a positive impact, and meet the spiritual and psychological needs of society in this digital era.

Digital transformation has revolutionized Islamic da'wah and counseling services, providing opportunities to reach a wider audience, especially millennials and Gen Z. This study aims to examine digital content innovation and creation that can improve the effectiveness of da'wah and counseling. The method used is a literature review with content-based data analysis, which identifies themes, patterns, and meanings from journals, books, and related digital documents. The results show that digital audiences tend to prefer content that is concise, visual, and easily accessible. Therefore, an effective content development model must encompass research, scripting, production, evaluation, and the selection of an appropriate distribution platform. In digital counseling services, aspects of ethics, privacy, and data security are crucial to maintain user trust. Furthermore, the integration of da'wah messages with counseling in a single platform is considered effective in simultaneously meeting the spiritual and psychological needs of the community. Challenges faced include information overload, misinformation, low digital literacy, and the risk of data breaches. In conclusion, the success of digital da'wah and counseling depends on understanding the audience and implementing a creative and ethical model, to provide a sustainable positive impact.

This study examines the role of classification, definition, and analogy as logical pillars that constitute the fundamental framework of knowledge. These three instruments of logic are closely interconnected in supporting the process of scientific reasoning. Classification functions to organize objects or phenomena into systematic categories, thereby facilitating identification. Definition provides clear boundaries of meaning to prevent conceptual ambiguity and ensure consistency of interpretation among researchers and practitioners. Meanwhile, analogy serves as a reasoning tool that bridges existing knowledge with new insights through rational comparison. This article employs a descriptive qualitative approach with a literature review of both classical and modern logic theories. The findings indicate that the integration of classification, definition, and analogy not only strengthens the consistency of scientific reasoning but also contributes significantly to education, communication, and the development of interdisciplinary knowledge. Thus, these three pillars of logic hold a strategic position in building a foundation of rationality and promoting the advancement of knowledge that is both comprehensive and applicablee.

This study aims to analyze the role of Kajian Kalam at Gedung Dakwah Kalasan, Sleman, as a community-based Qur’anic literacy practice. The study is motivated by the phenomenon that, although many people in Indonesia are proficient in reading the Qur’an, their understanding of its meaning remains limited. Kajian Kalam addresses this gap through a contextual and participatory tafsir approach, actively involving participants in discussion and reflection. This research employs a qualitative case study method, using direct observation, interviews with the study leader, and documentation of the study activities as data sources. The findings indicate that Kajian Kalam enhances Qur’anic literacy on three levels: textual literacy, meaning literacy, and practical literacy. The study provides participants with opportunities to understand Qur’anic verses contextually and relate them to daily life, while also building an inclusive and egalitarian learning community. The contributions of Kajian Kalam include broadening access to Qur’anic interpretation for participants with diverse backgrounds, implementing participatory learning models, and developing grounded and practical Qur’anic literacy. This research demonstrates that community-based Qur’anic studies can be an effective means to improve understanding and practice of the Qur’an, filling a gap in previous studies that focused primarily on formal institutions. The findings are expected to inform the development of more participatory and practical Qur’anic study models in society.

Prayer (shalat) is the central act of worship in Islam and holds a fundamental role in nurturing the spiritual life of Muslims. However, in practice, challenges often arise within society, particularly regarding the accuracy of recitations, movements, and the cohesiveness of congregational prayer. Thus, the urgency of understanding correct fiqh shalat remains crucial to ensure the quality of worship and strengthen ukhuwah islamiyah (Islamic brotherhood). In response to this need, students of Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar, through the National Community Service Program (KKN) in Surabaya, organized a community engagement activity under the theme of Kemuhammadiyahan, namely a congregational prayer competition involving members of ‘Aisyiyah. The aim of this activity was to internalize Muhammadiyah values, enhance the understanding of fiqh shalat according to Islamic teachings, and foster a spirit of togetherness through an educational and participatory approach. The competition was assessed based on prayer movements, recitations, and group cohesiveness. The results revealed active participation and high enthusiasm from the participants, who not only competed but also learned to improve the quality of their worship. This activity successfully created a positive religious atmosphere, strengthened bonds among community members, and affirmed the role of KKN as a medium of community service that integrates religious education, Islamic propagation (dakwah), and spiritual development rooted in progressive Islamic values.

In da'wah activities, language plays a crucial role as a means of communication that can be understood by every person or target of da'wah. Clear, simple, and communicative language will facilitate da'wah practitioners in conveying religious messages to the community. Da'wah communication is not limited to the use of verbal symbols such as words, but also includes nonverbal symbols that can strengthen the meaning of the da'wah message itself. Along with the development of information technology, da'wah media has also undergone significant changes. While da'wah was previously carried out through religious study groups, mosques, and face-to-face forums, social media has now emerged as a new, effective platform for conveying da'wah messages. One widely used social media platform is Instagram. This medium has a strong visual character, prioritizing images, videos, and short texts that are easily accessible to users. This is a unique attraction for da'wah practitioners in conveying religious messages to a wider audience, especially the younger generation who actively use Instagram. Through features such as feed uploads, Instagram Stories, and live broadcasts, da'wah can be packaged in a more creative, engaging, and relevant way to meet the needs of today's mad'u. One figure who utilizes Instagram as a means of da'wah is Ismail Amin Al-Kholili. Ismail's approach emphasizes the importance of da'wah communication that is appropriate to the context of the mad'u. In terms of message interaction, his da'wah can be studied through several forms of communication, namely da'wah bil-hal, da'wah bil-lisan, and da'wah bil-khitbah. Da'wah bil-hal is seen in the actual practice of behavior and exemplary behavior displayed, da'wah bil-lisan through lectures or advice delivered in audio-visual form, while da'wah bil-khitbah is seen in the delivery of short sermons that are packaged concisely and easily understood.

This study discusses how the application of media wealth by MTA TV's public relations in delivering da’wah messages through Instagram flyers on @mtatv_official in the period of 2021-2025. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach with Roland Barthes' semiotic analysis, focusing on denotation, connotation, and myths. The findings reveal that MTA TV has effectively implemented four key elements of media wealth—signal diversity, language variations, personal sources, and regardless—through its use of Instagram flyers. These elements are designed to enhance the communication process, making the messages more engaging and accessible to the audience. The da’wah messages conveyed through the flyers are interpreted by the audience in three primary categories: invitation (76.67%), motivation (16.67%), and solidarity (6.67%). The majority of the audience interprets the messages as invitations to join or engage in religious activities, highlighting the importance of outreach and engagement in MTA TV's approach. The motivational aspect encourages positive actions and attitudes towards religious teachings, while solidarity, though less prevalent, emphasizes the sense of community and support within the Muslim audience. The use of media wealth on social media platforms like Instagram is shown to increase the effectiveness of da’wah messages by making them more visually appealing, interactive, and relatable to a wide audience. This study suggests that employing rich media content, such as Instagram flyers, can play a vital role in enhancing the reach and impact of religious communication. It also underscores the importance of understanding the semiotic elements in shaping how messages are interpreted by different segments of the audience, making it a valuable tool for religious organizations aiming to modernize their communication strategies.

In today's digital era, technological development is occurring rapidly and having a significant impact on various aspects of human life, including Islamic da'wah. The transformation of the spread of Islamic teachings in the digital age has become inevitable along with the rapid advancement of information technology, particularly with the advent of Artificial Intelligence (AI). This study aims to explore how AI is utilized in spreading Islamic values and analyze the accompanying ethical and theological challenges. This research uses a qualitative approach with a literature study method, which includes a review of scientific journals, articles, and contemporary Islamic documents. The results show that AI has been applied in various forms of digital da'wah. For example, Islamic chatbots that can automatically answer religious questions, prayer and other worship reminder applications, and Quran learning platforms equipped with voice recognition and tajweed recitation technology. Although innovative and promising, the use of AI in da'wah poses challenges, particularly the threat to authority over scientific knowledge, the validity of religious content, and the risk of dehumanization in the process of conveying Islamic teachings. Therefore, an adaptive yet ethical approach to Islamic preaching is needed, involving collaboration between religious scholars, academics, and technology experts. This approach must take into account the values of Islamic law, morality in digital communication, and sensitivity to the cultural context of Muslims. Thus, AI-based Islamic preaching can be an innovative solution for effectively reaching a wider audience, without sacrificing the essence and spirituality taught by Islam itself. The rapid development of information technology has triggered significant changes in communication patterns, including in da'wah activities. Amidst digital dominance and the rapid flow of information, a da'wah approach relevant to the communication characteristics of Gen Z is crucial. Gen Z is known for its fast, interactive communication style and preference for digital media. Therefore, this community service program is designed to introduce da'wah as an effective two-way communication process in addressing these dynamics. The main objective of this program is to improve digital da'wah literacy and foster motivation and practical skills in creatively conveying Islamic messages through social media platforms. This community service activity is carried out through a series of activities, including outreach, interactive discussions, and practical simulations for creating digital da'wah content. The outreach is intended to provide a basic understanding of da'wah in a digital context. Interactive discussions allow participants to share views and understand how da'wah can be carried out effectively in cyberspace. Meanwhile, the da'wah content creation practice provides participants with the opportunity to directly engage in creating da'wah messages that can be disseminated through social media. Evaluation of the activity is carried out through pre- and post-tests held before and after the program implementation. The analysis results showed an increase in participants' understanding of more than 35% across all tested indicators. The highest increase (56.3%) was recorded in their understanding of the importance of two-way communication in da'wah. Previously, many participants considered da'wah to be an activity limited to religious leaders. However, after participating in this program, they began to understand that da'wah is a task for every individual, and can be carried out through media closely related to their daily lives. Overall, this program succeeded in increasing knowledge, critical awareness, and enthusiasm for contextual da'wah among Gen Z.

This study aims to analyze natural phenomena through an integrative approach combining the Hadiths of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and modern science, with a focus on the spiritual and ethical dimensions they contain. Natural events such as rain, lightning, wind, earthquakes, and eclipses are examined thematically by synthesizing scientific explanations and religious understanding based on authentic hadiths. The research adopts a qualitative-descriptive approach using content analysis of relevant hadith texts and contemporary scientific literature. The objective is to explore a deeper understanding of natural phenomena not merely as physical occurrences, but also as signs of Allah’s greatness that convey moral and spiritual messages for humankind. Findings indicate that the hadiths of the Prophet do not only instruct Muslims to respond to natural phenomena through acts of worship—such as supplication, remembrance (dhikr), or eclipse prayers—but also emphasize the human responsibility as stewards (khalifah) on Earth. The hadiths foster awareness of the interconnectedness between humans and the universe, framed within the concepts of monotheism (tawhid) and trust (amanah) to maintain environmental balance. The integration of hadith and science provides a new conceptual framework for developing spiritual-ecological awareness that balances scientific rationality with religious values. This approach is particularly relevant in the context of today’s global environmental crisis, which demands value-based solutions beyond technological innovations. Thus, this study not only enriches the Islamic intellectual tradition but also contributes to environmental preservation efforts through a religious ethical lens. It underlines the importance of fostering such integrative approaches in education, Islamic preaching (dakwah), and environmental policy. By doing so, a more holistic ecological awareness can be cultivated within Muslim communities. In conclusion, aligning scientific understanding with Islamic teachings through the hadith can serve as a meaningful foundation for both personal spiritual growth and collective environmental responsibility in facing the challenges of our time.

The phenomenon of online gambling has become a serious problem in various regions, including West Aceh Regency. data on cases handled by the West Aceh District Syar'iyah Court in the period 2021 to 2024 shows a significant increase in cases. Online gambling as part of jarimah maisir has different characteristics from conventional forms of gambling, namely digital, hidden, cross-regional, and difficult to detect by the naked eye by law enforcement officials and the general public. The problems in this study are How is the application of qanun jinayat law against online gambling offenders in the jurisdiction of the West Aceh District Syar'iyah Court, What are the obstacles faced in applying the law to online gambling offenders based on qanun jinayat law, and What are the efforts to prevent online gambling violations in the West Aceh area. This research uses empirical legal methods with a field research approach and case studies. The results showed that the application of Aceh Qanun Number 6 of 2014 concerning Jinayat Law against online gambling offenders was in accordance with the procedures of jinayat law, but its implementation was still not optimal. The Syar'iyah Court has handled a number of cases, but the number is not proportional to the potential violations. The main obstacles include limited regional authority in blocking sites, lack of digital forensic experts, absence of district-level cyber units, and weak coordination between agencies. Prevention is carried out through digital education by DISKOMINSA, thematic dakwah by the Islamic Sharia Office, as well as the Gampong Tolak Judi Online programme involving the community and the formation of the Gampong Pageu Task Force.
