Peat characteristics include low fertility, high acidity, and poor drainage because it comes from the weathering of organic matter under anaerobic conditions. However, peat has environmental benefits such as absorbing carbon, water buffers, and providing habitat for various unique flora and fauna. The use of peat as agricultural land is widely used by farmers in Pontianak City because it has a very large peatland area with a traditional agricultural system. However, traditional farming will have local knowledge (local wisdom) as a way to minimize damage to the peat ecosystem as an adaptation effort. This study aims to examine the adaptation of peatland management in traditional farming in Pontianak City. The method used in this study is qualitative descriptive and multiple linear regression analysis. The number of research samples was 68 farmers. The results of the study showed that traditional farmers have paid attention to the sustainability of their farming to minimize environmental damage. The results of the study showed that the adaptations carried out were making wells to maintain water availability, using short-lived vegetables that require shallow drainage of 20-30 cm and are adaptive to peat, providing intensive shade, planting trees on empty land, cleaning intensive irrigation, providing ameliorant ash, lime, chicken manure intensively, and arranging planting patterns with diversification. The determining factors for peatland management adaptation include age, land area, length of farming, participation of fire-conscious communities, and intensity of participation in outreach.

Because it directly impacts revenue, customer loyalty, and long-term business sustainability, customer churn is a critical issue for the e-commerce industry. High churn rates indicate that a business is unable to retain existing customers, which means it is more expensive to acquire new customers. Therefore, a precise analytical approach is needed to identify customer behavior patterns that are likely to churn. Using machine learning methods, this study analyzes and predicts customer churn. For this study, the E-Commerce Customer Churn 2025 dataset, obtained from Kaggle, was used. This dataset consists of 10,000 customer data and contains fifteen variables covering transaction behavior, customer characteristics, and churn status. Data preprocessing, descriptive analysis, exploratory data analysis (EDA), and classification model development using Logistic Regression and Random Forest algorithms were part of the research project. Model evaluation was conducted using a Confusion Matrix and Receiver Operating Characteristic (ROC) Curve to evaluate the model's accuracy and ability to distinguish between churned and non-churned customers. The results showed that the Random Forest model performed better than Logistic Regression, with an ROC-AUC of 1.00. Furthermore, feature importance analysis revealed that the days_since_last_purchase variable was the most dominant factor in predicting customer churn. These findings are expected to help e-commerce companies design more effective, data-driven customer retention strategies.

Financial statements have an important role in facilitating all forms of economic activity in the private, public, and non-profit sectors. However, in reality, many companies commit financial statement fraud, causing losses to users. With the increasing attention to financial statement fraud, board diversity has become an important aspect in improving corporate financial reporting monitoring and reducing the possibility of fraud. However, previous studies on the effect of this factor on financial statement fraud still show mixed findings, particularly in the food and beverage manufacturing sub-sector in Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the effect of board diversity on financial statement fraud in food and beverage companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2021–2023. This study uses a quantitative approach with secondary data obtained from companies' annual reports and financial statements. Board diversity in this study includes board gender diversity, board age diversity, and board education diversity, all of which are measured using dummy variables. Financial statement fraud is measured using the Beneish m-score. Data analysis is performed using multiple linear regression with the Ordinary Least Squares approach. The results show that board age diversity has a significant negative effect on financial statement fraud. These findings indicate that board diversity is one of the factors that can reduce the likelihood of financial statement fraud.

This study investigates the interconnected roles of board gender diversity and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) performance on firm performance within Indonesia's distinctive two-tier corporate governance system. Utilizing a panel dataset of 80 companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2021 to 2023 and employing a fixed-effects regression model, the analysis measures gender diversity on both the Board of Commissioners (BOC) and Board of Directors (BOD) using the Blau Index, with firm performance proxied by Tobin's Q and ESG performance sourced from Refinitiv Eikon scores. The empirical results reveal that gender diversity on both the BOC and BOD does not have a statistically significant effect on firm performance, failing to support agency, upper echelons, and gender socialization theories. Furthermore, ESG performance demonstrates a significant negative direct effect aligning with the trade-off perspective that current implementation costs outweigh benefits. Crucially, the analysis finds that ESG does not moderate the board diversity-performance relationship, as both interaction terms are statistically insignificant. These findings collectively indicate that the potential governance and strategic advantages of board gender diversity are not being realized in the Indonesian context. The study concludes that this is attributable to several structural barriers, including tokenistic board appointments, the early-stage and often symbolic nature of ESG adoption focused on compliance rather than integration, and a weak institutional environment characterized by voluntary frameworks and socio-cultural constraints that limit the substantive influence of women in governance roles.

This study investigated how employee engagement and work–life balance influenced turnover intention, with rewards examined as an intervening mechanism, among Generation Z employees in a state-owned enterprise context. A quantitative explanatory design was applied using a census approach involving all 36 Generation Z employees at PT PLN (Persero) Pematangsiantar. Data were collected through structured questionnaires measured on a five-point Likert scale and were analyzed using multiple regression and mediation-based path analysis in SPSS. The findings showed that employee engagement and work–life balance significantly predicted perceived rewards, and all three variables exerted significant effects on turnover intention. Moreover, rewards partially mediated the effects of employee engagement and work–life balance on turnover intention, indicating that positive work experiences reduced employees’ intention to leave when they were reinforced by fair and meaningful reward practices. However, the small sample size limited the generalizability of the findings beyond the organizational setting studied. This study contributes by demonstrating that retention of Generation Z employees is shaped not only by psychological attachment and work–life balance, but also by how organizations institutionalize recognition and value exchange through reward systems, particularly in public service and state-owned enterprises.
