This study examines methods of religious and moral development for early childhood at Witri 1 Kindergarten in Bengkulu City. The main objective of this study is to understand how teachers instill religious and moral values through learning activities that are integrated with children's daily lives. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The results show that religious values are developed through the habit of praying, greeting others, and simple worship practices appropriate to the children's stage of development. Meanwhile, moral values are developed through the habit of polite behavior, honesty, cooperation, and responsibility in learning and playing activities. Teachers act as role models by setting positive examples and utilizing storytelling, singing, and educational games to reinforce children's understanding. The study concludes that habituation, role modeling, and contextual activities are effective strategies in shaping the religious and moral development of early childhood. The conducive learning environment at TKWitri 1 supports the development of religious and moral character in children from an early age.

The agricultural sector plays a crucial role in the Indonesian economy, contributing significantly to Gross Domestic Product (GDP), employment, and national food security. Conventional financing is often poorly suited to the unique characteristics of the agricultural sector, prompting the exploration of more adaptive alternatives. Islamic banking, with its principles of fairness and risk-sharing, offers innovative financing solutions. One such contract with significant potential but underutilized is the Salam contract, a purchase-and-sell contract where payment is made upfront and goods are delivered at a later date. This study aims to analyze the characteristics of the Salam contract in depth, identify challenges and opportunities in its implementation in the Islamic agricultural sector, and formulate strategies for optimizing its application. Using a qualitative descriptive research method based on literature review and comparative analysis, this article finds that the Salam contract offers an effective financing solution for farmers' working capital needs, price risk mitigation for farmers, and supply security for buyers. Key challenges include the risk of crop failure, quality risk, moral hazard risk, and limited supporting infrastructure and market understanding. Optimizing the Salam contract can be achieved through the development of innovative contract models, strengthening risk management through takaful instrumentation, utilizing digital technology, improving Islamic financial literacy, and collaboration between stakeholders. The implications of this research are expected to provide practical guidance for Islamic financial institutions, farmers, and policymakers to create a more inclusive and sustainable Islamic agricultural financing ecosystem. With the right approach, the Salam contract has the potential to become a key instrument in Islamic agricultural financing. Its widespread implementation can drive the transformation of the agricultural sector toward a more productive and equitable direction. Sustainable efforts are needed to ensure its effective implementation in the field.

This study examines the integration of Maqasid al-Sharia the objectives of Islamic law into contemporary sustainable development frameworks, focusing on how Islamic ethical principles can guide social, economic, and environmental sustainability. Maqasid al-Sharia traditionally aims to preserve five core elements: religion, life, intellect, progeny, and wealth, all of which contribute to human well being. The research explores how these principles can be adapted to address modern challenges such as poverty, inequality, and environmental degradation, highlighting the potential of Maqasid al-Sharia to align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Key Islamic principles, including justice (ʿadl), public welfare (maṣlaḥah), and ecological stewardship (khilafah), provide a moral framework for sustainable development, ensuring that economic growth is achieved alongside social justice and environmental preservation. The study also examines the role of Islamic finance, particularly tools like Sukuk, Zakat, and Waqf, in promoting sustainability by funding social welfare projects and supporting environmental initiatives. By comparing Maqasid al-Sharia with secular sustainability models, the research underscores the importance of integrating ethical and spiritual accountability into sustainability efforts. While secular models often prioritize economic growth, Islamic sustainability frameworks emphasize the interconnectedness of human development, social justice, and ecological balance, offering a more holistic approach. The findings suggest that integrating Maqasid al-Sharia into policy and development frameworks can provide a comprehensive, ethically grounded approach to addressing global sustainability challenges. Future research should focus on empirical studies to assess the practical application of Maqasid al-Sharia in real world sustainable development projects and policy making, particularly in Muslim majority societies.

Character education is a fundamental aspect in the effort to shape individuals with morals, ethics, and responsibility amidst the currents of globalization and modernization. The phenomenon of moral crisis, ethical degradation, and dehumanization emphasizes the urgency of character education that is not only oriented towards intellectual intelligence, but also emphasizes spiritual and social values. In this context, the thoughts of Ahmad Amin, a modern Islamic thinker, are relevant to be re-examined. Ahmad Amin emphasized the importance of Islamic values as a foundation for ethics and morality that are both universal and contextual, thus able to address the needs of modern humans who are facing complex challenges in various aspects of life. This study uses a library research method with a qualitative approach. The main data sources are Ahmad Amin's works related to the concept of morals and education, supplemented by supporting literature discussing character education and its relevance in today's development. The analysis was conducted descriptively and analytically to examine Ahmad Amin's ideas and relate them to the needs of modern society. The results of the study indicate that Ahmad Amin's thoughts on character education are rooted in Islamic moral principles that emphasize the balance between spiritual, intellectual, and social aspects. Values such as honesty, responsibility, discipline, and social awareness are at the heart of healthy character development. This thinking is relevant to the needs of the modern era, marked by a moral crisis, and therefore can serve as an alternative paradigm for character education that adapts to current developments while remaining grounded in Islamic values. Therefore, it can be concluded that Ahmad Amin's thinking is not only of historical value but also makes a significant contribution to developing character education based on Islamic values, capable of maintaining spiritual orientation while addressing the challenges of modernity.

Adolescence is the stage where a child's puberty occurs before reaching adulthood, this is a process that every child must go through between the ages of 12 and 18. At this stage, children who are growing up generally experience several changes both physically, emotionally, and emotionally, becoming more sensitive to circumstances and desires or high curiosity about their environment. In conditions like this, the role of several parties and knowledge is very necessary to control and supervise without having to restrain so as to hinder the development of the teenager, these parties include parents, family, teachers, and the community. Based on this, it is felt necessary to carry out socialization and a direct approach to convey the importance of knowledge or science to fortify adolescent behavior so that a situation that exceeds the limit does not occur such as promiscuity, free sex and other negative influences that must be directly conveyed to the teenager. From this service, a report was made as a form of steps that have been taken as an effort to protect the generation with knowledge in the digital era for the future. In addition, in facing the increasingly rapidly developing digital era, teenagers are very vulnerable to the influence of social media and the flow of information that is so fast and unlimited. Easy access to various digital platforms can have positive impacts if used wisely, but it also has the potential to lead teens to negative content if not properly supported. Therefore, digital literacy is a crucial skill for teens to master, enabling them to select information, convey critical messages, and use technology responsibly.

A parenting seminar on maternal and child mental health organized by KPM UI Bunga Bangsa Cirebon students in Pegagan Village is a form of community service aimed at raising awareness and understanding of the importance of mental health in parenting. The limited knowledge of mental health issues in rural communities, coupled with high levels of stress experienced by parents, often negatively impacts parenting practices. This has the potential to hinder optimal child development, both physically, psychologically, and socially. Therefore, this activity was designed with a participatory approach, where the community is not merely an object but is also involved from the beginning of the planning process. This process includes coordination with village officials, seminars, and monitoring and evaluation stages, so that the community feels ownership and plays an active role in the program. The seminar featured speakers from psychology and legal academics who explained the relationship between parental mental health and fulfilling legal obligations to protect children's rights. The material presented emphasized how parental stress and emotions can affect child development, as well as the importance of parents' ability to manage the pressures of everyday life. Participants gained an understanding of strategies for maintaining mental health, including good time management, building open communication within the family environment, and strengthening social support as an emotional support system. The results of the activity showed an increase in participants' awareness of the importance of mental health not only as an individual need, but also as a moral, social, and legal responsibility in creating a healthy, safe, and resilient family environment. Therefore, this parenting seminar can be seen as an effective educational strategy, not only strengthening parents' capacity to raise children but also building sustainable local support networks for the well-being of families and communities.

This study aims to analyze the effective role of the Al-Qurtuby Islamic Boarding School in shaping the character of students. As one of the oldest Islamic educational institutions in Indonesia, the Islamic boarding school holds a very strategic position in developing the morals and ethics of the younger generation, especially amidst the increasing moral crisis that is occurring in the modern era. This study uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation so as to be able to describe the reality of the character formation of students in depth. The results show that the Al-Qurtuby Islamic Boarding School has three main functions: as a transmission of Islamic knowledge, a preserver of Islamic traditions, and a center for the development of prospective ulama (Islamic scholars). These three functions contribute significantly to fostering a character of peace, tolerance, independence, and a sense of responsibility in students. The character formation process is carried out through various methods, including the exemplary behavior of kyai (Islamic clerics) and ustaz (Islamic teachers), habituation in daily activities, and the provision of educational advice and sanctions. Supporting factors for the formation of students' character at this boarding school include the students' high internal motivation to learn, maintained discipline, and a conducive Islamic boarding school environment full of religious values. However, this study also identified inhibiting factors, such as student boredom due to busy schedules, limited facilities, and the challenge of adapting to changing times that demand innovation in teaching methods. The implications of this research are that it provides information for Islamic boarding school administrators in designing more effective strategies for developing character education, while also serving as a reference for other Islamic educational institutions wishing to adopt a similar approach. Thus, Islamic boarding schools remain relevant in producing a generation with noble character capable of facing future social and moral challenges.

Early character education plays a fundamental role in shaping a generation that is not only intelligent but also physically healthy, emotionally balanced, and morally responsible. The cultivation of these values from an early age is crucial to equip children with the resilience needed to face various social challenges in the future. This community service activity was designed to increase awareness among elementary school students regarding three critical issues: the dangers of drug abuse, the practices of bullying, and the detrimental impact of corruption. The program was conducted at SDN 1 Citeluk with the participation of approximately 80 students from grades IV to VI. The educational materials were delivered through an interactive approach combining lectures, group discussions, role-playing, and quizzes. This approach was selected to ensure that the learning process was enjoyable, engaging, and easily understood by children at the elementary school level. During the sessions, students were introduced to the basic concepts of drugs, their harmful effects on health and life, and the importance of avoiding them. Additionally, the program emphasized identifying the various forms of bullying—whether physical, verbal, or social—and encouraged students to develop empathy and mutual respect. Another important aspect addressed was corruption, where students were guided to recognize the value of honesty and integrity through relatable examples in daily life. The results of the activity revealed that students were able to clearly understand the dangers of drugs, recognize the different forms of bullying, and provide examples of honest and moral behavior. This indicates that early character education delivered through interactive and participatory methods can effectively enhance children’s comprehension of healthy and moral values. It is expected that similar programs can be carried out sustainably in elementary school settings as part of continuous character-building efforts to support the development of a responsible and ethical young generation

This research examines the vital role of pesantren education in embedding and sustaining moral values within the broader social context, with a particular focus on Pondok Pesantren Raudlatul Muta’allimin Kudus. As traditional Islamic institutions, pesantren not only function as centers for religious instruction but also act as moral guardians that shape the character, ethics, and social behavior of students and their surrounding communities. In the midst of rapid globalization and shifting cultural dynamics, pesantren face the challenge of preserving the relevance of Islamic values while adapting to contemporary realities. The purpose of this study is to investigate how pesantren education contributes to moral development and to identify strategies utilized to instill Islamic ethics. Using a qualitative case study approach, the research gathered data through interviews, direct observation, and documentation involving kyai, teachers, students, and community members. The findings show that pesantren foster moral growth through structured daily rituals, integration of moral teachings in curriculum, exemplary leadership (uswah), and active community-based programs. These practices build discipline, honesty, empathy, and social responsibility in students, which in turn positively affect the surrounding society. Furthermore, the leadership model demonstrated by kyai and teachers plays a central role in reinforcing values through example, rather than instruction alone. The study concludes that pesantren education continues to serve as a powerful moral force by blending religious instruction with practical community engagement, ensuring that values are not only taught but also lived. This underscores the relevance of pesantren as adaptive agents of moral transformation capable of addressing the ethical challenges of modern Muslim societies. It also highlights that the pesantren framework can serve as a replicable model for strengthening character education in diverse social and cultural contexts, making it both traditional and forward-looking.

This study examines the perceptions of the Pucangadi Village community towards the educational children's program "SiBobo" broadcast by TVRI Central Java. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews with fifteen informants selected purposively. Informants consisted of parents, teachers, and local residents who have views regarding the program. The purpose of this study was to explore the extent to which the program "SiBobo" is accepted and has a positive impact on the development of children in the community. The results showed that the program "SiBobo" is considered an entertaining and educational learning medium by the majority of informants. This program successfully conveys moral and social messages relevant to children's lives, such as the values of togetherness, social awareness, and the importance of protecting the environment. This program is also considered able to attract children's attention in a fun way, making them interested in learning while playing. In addition, the content presented in this program can increase children's knowledge about local culture and wisdom, which is expected to increase their love for Indonesian culture. However, despite "SiBobo"'s high educational value, the presence of gadgets and children's preference for digital content, such as YouTube videos and game apps, often divert their attention from public television. Children are more interested in shows they can access anytime through their devices. This suggests that while television shows like "SiBobo" still play a significant role, competition from digital media presents a significant challenge. This study emphasizes the importance of revitalizing children's programming based on local values and the need for more adaptive communication strategies to optimally convey educational messages.

Drug abuse among adolescents is a serious problem that requires comprehensive and sustainable prevention efforts. Adolescence is a developmental phase characterized by the search for identity, emotional instability, and high levels of influence from the social environment, including peers. In this context, family education plays a central role as the first line of defense in protecting adolescents from the negative influence of drugs. Through open communication, wise supervision, and consistent love and emotional support, parents can create a safe and supportive environment for their children's mental development. Effective family education includes strengthening moral, religious, and social values, aiming to shape adolescents' character and resilience to environmental pressures. In certain situations, family education also needs to be supported by a scientific approach, one of which is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). CBT is a psychological approach that focuses on improving negative thought patterns and behaviors. In the context of discussing drugs, CBT can help adolescents identify the emotional and social triggers that lead them to try illicit substances and equip them with strategies to cope healthily. The integration of family education and CBT therapy creates a comprehensive approach—from the home to professional support—to strengthen adolescents' mental resilience. This collaboration not only reduces the risk of addiction but also encourages adolescents to become more self-aware, emotionally healthy, and productive individuals. Therefore, synergy between families, schools, and mental health professionals is crucial in creating a drug-free generation of young people ready to face the challenges of modern life. Therefore, the active involvement of all parties, including educational institutions and the community, is essential to creating an environment that supports early drug prevention.

The low level of students’ understanding of Islamic practices and values in daily life remains a significant challenge in the teaching of Islamic Religious Education (IRE) at the elementary school level. The teaching of IRE on the topic “Hajj and Qurban” in Grade V at SDN Bangbayang, Cisolok District, plays a strategic role in shaping Islamic character and instilling noble moral values in students. This study aims to critically examine the learning objectives, teaching materials, instructional methods, evaluation system, references, and teaching resources used in the learning process. The research employed a qualitative approach with data collected through classroom observation, interviews with teachers and students, and an analysis of instructional documents. The findings reveal that, in general, the teaching of IRE in Grade V has been implemented in accordance with the objectives and curriculum standards. Teachers have designed teaching modules based on the basic competencies and learning goals outlined in the curriculum. However, several aspects still require further development. Among these are the limited relevance of the learning materials to students’ everyday experiences, the lack of integration of technology-based media, and an evaluation process that places greater emphasis on cognitive aspects while paying less attention to affective and psychomotor domains. This situation indicates that while the learning process is carried out in line with procedural standards, students’ comprehension of Islamic values in practical and contextual terms remains insufficient. Therefore, strengthening the understanding of Islamic teachings in real-life contexts is essential so that students not only acquire theoretical knowledge but are also able to internalize and practice Islamic values in their daily lives. The teaching module currently used is adequate, yet further development is needed to make learning more practical, contextual, and impactful in fostering a strong Islamic character among students.

This study aims to determine the relationship between organizational commitment and readiness for change among employees at Ramayana Plaza Andalas Padang. The background of this study emphasizes the importance of human resource readiness in facing the increasingly rapid dynamics of organizational change, whether due to globalization, technological developments, or increasingly competitive market competition. Organizational change demands active involvement and psychological readiness from employees, and one factor believed to play a significant role in this readiness is the level of commitment to the organization. This study used a quantitative approach with a nonprobability sampling method, where data were collected through a questionnaire using a Likert scale. Respondents were employees from various departments at Ramayana Plaza Andalas Padang. The results showed a significant relationship between organizational commitment and readiness for change. Specifically, affective commitment—which is an employee's emotional cessation of feelings toward the organization—and continuance commitment, which relates to the perception of the costs of leaving the organization, showed a positive relationship with readiness for change. Conversely, normative commitment, which stems from a sense of moral obligation to remain employed, showed a negative correlation, indicating that moral pressure without emotional involvement can hinder readiness for change. These findings indicate that although the overall level of readiness is quite high, several aspects such as fit (the appropriateness of change), change efficacy (belief in the ability to change), and management support still need improvement. Therefore, it is recommended that organizations focus more on strengthening affective commitment by actively involving employees in the decision-making process, building open communication, and providing training and coaching that supports ongoing readiness for change. Thus, the success of organizational change is greatly influenced by the quality of the emotional connection between employees and the organization.

GARUDA : Jurnal Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan dan Filsafat 2025 International Forum of Researchers and Lecturers

As the first principle of Pancasila, Belief in the One and Only God holds a fundamental position in shaping the moral and spiritual direction of the Indonesian nation. Divinity serves not only as an ideological foundation but also as an ethical guideline guiding individual behavior and national life. In the current global context, where secularism is rapidly advancing and encouraging a separation between religion and the public sphere, the relevance of divinity is even stronger. Uncontrolled secularism has the potential to weaken the moral foundations of society, erode social solidarity, and trigger a value crisis that threatens national integrity. Divinity serves as a counterbalance to global trends often dominated by materialistic and individualistic views. In this situation, strengthening divinity principles is a strategic necessity, both in the formulation of public policy, the national education system, and in the practice of social life. Public policies based on divinity can ensure that development does not merely pursue economic growth, but also pays attention to social justice, shared prosperity, and the preservation of human values. In education, internalizing religious values encourages the development of students' character with integrity, respect for diversity, and high moral awareness. Meanwhile, in the social realm, the application of these values strengthens tolerance, maintains harmony between religious communities, and affirms unity in diversity. This article emphasizes that religious values are not merely normative ideological symbols, but rather pillars of national integration capable of addressing the challenges of the times. By reviving the spirit of Belief in the One and Only God in every aspect of life, Indonesia can confront the influence of global secularism without losing its spiritual identity, while simultaneously building a just, civilized, and sustainable society. In addition, the application of religious values in Pancasila also has strategic relevance in Indonesia's cultural diplomacy and foreign policy.

Moral and social education in Islam plays a crucial role in shaping children's character, developing noble character and social responsibility. In this context, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) serves as a prime role model, whose behavior and sayings provide comprehensive guidance for the development of character values. This study aims to analyze authentic hadiths depicting the Prophet's interactions with children to uncover key moral and social values that can be integrated into contemporary Islamic education. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with thematic analysis techniques. Data were collected from relevant authentic hadith literature and then analyzed to identify moral values such as honesty, compassion, justice, empathy, and respect for children's rights. The analysis also considered the historical and social context of the hadiths, allowing interpretations of the values to be tailored to current educational needs. The results show that the Prophet Muhammad taught moral and social principles not only through verbal statements but also through concrete examples in his daily life. For example, he demonstrated gentleness toward children, respected their opinions, appreciated good behavior, and reprimanded them wisely when mistakes occurred. This approach creates an educational pattern that is not authoritarian, but rather builds positive emotional bonds between educators and students. These findings emphasize the relevance of prophetic values in shaping character education in the modern era, which often faces challenges of morality and the degradation of social values. Integrating these values into the curriculum and educational practices in schools and families is expected to produce individuals who are not only intellectually intelligent but also possess high moral integrity and social sensitivity.

In today's digital era, technological development is occurring rapidly and having a significant impact on various aspects of human life, including Islamic da'wah. The transformation of the spread of Islamic teachings in the digital age has become inevitable along with the rapid advancement of information technology, particularly with the advent of Artificial Intelligence (AI). This study aims to explore how AI is utilized in spreading Islamic values and analyze the accompanying ethical and theological challenges. This research uses a qualitative approach with a literature study method, which includes a review of scientific journals, articles, and contemporary Islamic documents. The results show that AI has been applied in various forms of digital da'wah. For example, Islamic chatbots that can automatically answer religious questions, prayer and other worship reminder applications, and Quran learning platforms equipped with voice recognition and tajweed recitation technology. Although innovative and promising, the use of AI in da'wah poses challenges, particularly the threat to authority over scientific knowledge, the validity of religious content, and the risk of dehumanization in the process of conveying Islamic teachings. Therefore, an adaptive yet ethical approach to Islamic preaching is needed, involving collaboration between religious scholars, academics, and technology experts. This approach must take into account the values of Islamic law, morality in digital communication, and sensitivity to the cultural context of Muslims. Thus, AI-based Islamic preaching can be an innovative solution for effectively reaching a wider audience, without sacrificing the essence and spirituality taught by Islam itself. Thus, AI-based Islamic preaching can be an innovative solution for effectively reaching a wider audience, without sacrificing the essence and spirituality taught by Islam itself. Going forward, a sustainable Islamic digital ecosystem needs to be built so that technology becomes not only a tool, but also a means of increasing faith and piety.

This study aims to examine in depth the role of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in shaping the character and ethics of students at Madrasah Aliyah Al-Hikmah, Ciruas, Serang, Banten. Amidst the challenges of globalization and modernization that bring changes in values and behavior, PAI plays a strategic role in instilling moral, spiritual, and social values in students. Religious education not only teaches religious knowledge but also shapes attitudes, behaviors, and mindsets in accordance with Islamic teachings, enabling students to cope with diverse environmental influences. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. Research informants consisted of PAI teachers, students, the principal, and homeroom teachers, thus obtaining a comprehensive picture of the implementation of PAI at the madrasah. The results show that PAI makes a significant contribution to the formation of student character, particularly in aspects of religiosity, discipline, responsibility, honesty, tolerance, and courtesy. Learning strategies used include habituating worship, teacher role models, enforcing school rules, and integrating Islamic values into all subjects. Additionally, extracurricular activities such as religious study groups, Islamic holiday commemorations, and Quran memorization programs are also effective tools for strengthening students' character. However, this study also identified several challenges, including low parental involvement in children's character development, negative environmental influences, and limited variety of learning methods. Therefore, synergy between madrasahs, families, and the community is needed to create an educational ecosystem that supports comprehensive and sustainable character development. Through this collaboration, Islamic Religious Education (PAI) is expected to provide a strong foundation for creating a generation with noble character and competitiveness in the modern era.

This study aims to explore the concept of Qur’anic Spiritual Intelligence and its role in developing high-quality human resources, with a specific focus on the implementation at SMAIT Ash-Shohwah Berau. Qur’anic Spiritual Intelligence refers to a form of spiritual capacity derived from deep interaction with the Qur’an, encompassing the intelligence of the spirit, soul, heart, and moral consciousness. This research employs a qualitative method with a case study approach to provide an in-depth understanding of the phenomenon. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with teachers and students, participant observations during religious and academic activities, and documentation analysis of school programs. The findings reveal that the cultivation of Qur’anic Spiritual Intelligence at SMAIT Ash-Shohwah Berau is systematically integrated into the school’s curriculum and extracurricular programs, particularly through the high-quality Tahfidzul Qur’an program, which is mandatory for all students. The process of memorizing the Qur’an is not only aimed at achieving mastery of verses but also at nurturing closeness to Allah SWT, shaping attitudes and values that form the foundation of high-quality human resources. Students participating in the program demonstrate notable improvements in discipline, responsibility, enthusiasm for learning, social competence, emotional regulation, honesty, independence, and leadership skills. Furthermore, the study highlights that Qur’anic Spiritual Intelligence serves as a transformative element, influencing both academic achievement and personal character. It fosters an integrated development that balances intellectual capability with moral integrity, enabling students to contribute meaningfully to society. The results suggest that embedding Qur’anic Spiritual Intelligence in educational settings can be a strategic pathway for producing graduates who are not only academically competent but also spiritually grounded and socially responsible. This has significant implications for Islamic education institutions aiming to develop comprehensive human resources aligned with Qur’anic values and the demands of the modern world.
