As a literary genre with its own appeal, short stories (qishshah qashirah) and poetry (shi'r) offer a unique and beneficial reading experience for students. However, learning to read Arabic literary texts often presents various challenges. This study aims to analyze in depth the reading skills of Arabic literary texts, specifically short stories and poetry, at Madrasah Aliyah. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method, which aims to observe and describe events, phenomena, attitudes, social activities, perceptions, beliefs, and thoughts of individuals or groups. Data collection is conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique follows the Miles and Huberman model, which consists of three main stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that students' ability to read Arabic literary texts, both short stories and poetry, remains relatively low. Several internal and external factors influence this ability, including limited vocabulary (mufradat), which causes students to struggle in understanding texts, frequently pause, guess word meanings, or even give up entirely. Additionally, weak proficiency in Arabic grammar (nahwu and sharaf) further hinders their comprehension of sentence structures in literary texts. To address these challenges, three strategies can be implemented by educators to enhance students' reading skills: utilizing diverse learning media, selecting engaging and relevant themes, and providing a variety of reading resources.

Learning activities that take place in the classroom are often limited to listening and lecturing activities, even though the curriculum demands that students have higher-order thinking (HOT) skills such as analysis and discussion. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach with research subjects consisting of teachers and students. Data collection was carried out through observation, interview, and documentation techniques. This research aims to analyze: (1) the implementation of role-playing strategies in improving students' speaking skills, (2) the assessment of Indonesian language learning outcomes using this strategy, and (3) the supporting and inhibiting factors in using role-playing strategies. The results of the research show that the implementation of learning with role-playing strategies successfully increased students' competence and learning activity, especially in channeling ideas and opinions. The main supporting factors include teacher involvement, students' mastery of the material, and the use of relevant textbooks, including drama scripts and performance videos. Conversely, the inhibiting factors are students' shyness when role-playing and lack of mastery of the material. Based on the findings of this research, role-playing strategies are suitable to be implemented by teachers as a solution to improve the quality of learning in Indonesian language subjects.

Based on observations made at MTs Madrasatul Qur'an Salafiyah in class VII, student interest in mathematical literacy is low, with a percentage of student interest reaching only 45%. This is due to the implementation of learning that is limited to textbooks and situations in the classroom, which makes students quickly feel bored when reading because the material read is dominated by text. This study aims to determine and explain the effect of using Nearpod media in increasing student interest in mathematical literacy at MTs Madrasatul Qur'an Salafiyah. The population studied included all VII class students totaling 74 people, with the sampling technique using saturated sampling. This research is classified as classroom action research (PTK) with data collection techniques through observation, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The instruments used in this study consisted of questionnaires and observation sheets. The data obtained from the research were then analyzed with a quantitative descriptive approach. The results showed an increase in interest in mathematical literacy through the use of poster media identified in cycle I and cycle II. In cycle I, students' interest in mathematical literacy reached 65%, while in cycle II it increased to 90%. This shows that the use of Nearpod media successfully increased students' interest in mathematical literacy.

This study aims to explore the integration pattern between Science and Islam in the context of the Integrated Madrasah Science Competition (KSM) for Biology at MAN 1 Wonosobo. The research specifically seeks to: (1) identify the conceptual pattern of Science–Islam integration in Biology learning, (2) examine the implementation of this integration in the KSM preparation process, and (3) analyze the factors influencing its effectiveness. This research adopts a qualitative approach, employing field research and descriptive analysis to capture a comprehensive understanding of the phenomenon. The findings reveal that the integration pattern in Biology learning within the KSM context is characterized as integrative–interconnective, where scientific concepts are interconnected with Islamic values and perspectives. Supervisory teachers with a strong background in pure Biology tend to be more active in developing discussion themes, conducting in-depth dialogues, and organizing studies that merge scientific and religious viewpoints. The effective implementation of this integration is supported by optimal utilization of learning resources, particularly Biology textbooks, as a source of pure scientific material enriched with Islamic insights. Such integration is further strengthened by collaborative discussions between teachers and students, fostering deeper understanding and critical thinking. Several factors contribute to the effectiveness of Biology KSM learning. These include the existence of a curriculum and learning materials that intentionally integrate Science and Islam, as well as the interdisciplinary competencies of teachers who not only master Biology content but also possess the ability to connect it with Islamic principles. Additionally, institutional support from all components of the madrasah—administrators, fellow teachers, and students—plays a crucial role in creating a structured, motivating, and inspiring guidance environment. In conclusion, the integration of Science and Islam in the Biology KSM at MAN 1 Wonosobo represents an effective educational model that promotes both scientific literacy and religious understanding, contributing to holistic student development in madrasah education.

This study aims to analyze the inconsistency of paragraphs in articles published in the November 2024 edition of Larise magazine. The approach used in this study is qualitative descriptive with data collection methods in the form of observation and recording. The results of the analysis revealed that the incongruity of the paragraphs was caused by several factors, such as the lack of transitional sentences, irregular order of details, and unnecessary repetition of words. Although some paragraphs have implemented the cohesion element correctly, some sections still struggle to connect ideas effectively, making it difficult for readers to follow the flow of the article. These findings show the importance of increasing the use of cohesion techniques to make texts more structure and easy to understand. Magazine writers and editors are advised to improve the application of cohesion elements to improve the cohesion of the text and make it easier for readers to follow the flow of thought. Thus, this study contributes to a deeper understanding of the application of cohesion techniques in print media writing and highlights the need for improvement in these areas to achieve more effective communication. Keywords: cohesion; paragraph incompatibility; majalah larise
