Akuntansi dan Ekonomi Pajak: Perspektif Global 2025 Asosiasi Riset Ekonomi dan Akuntansi Indonesia

This study aims to examine the effect of liquidity, profitability, leverage, and accounts receivable turnover on financial distress. The sample used in this study is banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the 2021-2024 period. The population sample in this study is 47 companies. The sample was determined using a purposive sampling method, resulting in 10 companies. The type of data for this study is secondary data obtained from www.idx.co.id. The analytical method used was multiple regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that simultaneously, the variables liquidity, profitability, leverage, and accounts receivable turnover significantly influence financial distress. Partially, the liquidity variable has a negative and significant effect on financial distress, while the profitability variable has a negative and significant effect on financial distress. Leverage and accounts receivable turnover have no effect on financial distress. Furthermore, the Adjusted R-square coefficient is 95.3%, indicating that 4.7% is influenced by other variables. These findings suggest that companies with better liquidity and profitability levels have a lower probability of experiencing financial distress. This aligns with the theory that high liquidity ensures the availability of cash to meet short-term obligations, while strong profitability supports operational sustainability and investor confidence. On the other hand, leverage and accounts receivable turnover did not significantly affect financial distress, which may indicate that banking companies have a more stable debt structure and effective credit management, reducing their influence on distress conditions. This research provides practical insights for company management, investors, and regulators. For managers, maintaining optimal liquidity and profitability levels is essential to prevent financial difficulties. For investors, liquidity and profitability indicators can serve as reliable references for investment decision-making.

The digital competency gap between vocational school graduates and the rapidly evolving demands of modern industry has become a pressing issue in today’s workforce. One of the main challenges lies in the limited digital literacy and insufficient practical skills of students, particularly in applying Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to support productivity and creativity. This situation hinders the readiness of graduates to compete in an AI-driven labor market, where innovation and technological adaptability are essential. To address this challenge, a training program was designed for vocational high school students at Darma Siswa Sidoarjo with the primary objective of enhancing both their conceptual understanding and practical competencies in the utilization of AI technologies. The program adopted the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method, emphasizing collaboration and active engagement between trainers and students. It was conducted through a series of interactive workshops that combined theoretical introductions with hands-on practice. Students were guided to explore AI-based platforms such as Ideogram for visual creativity, PixVerse for multimedia production, and Suno for AI-generated music. To evaluate the effectiveness of the program, pre-test and post-test instruments were used, focusing on the dimensions of knowledge, technical skills, and student confidence in using AI tools. The findings revealed that students initially demonstrated minimal awareness and limited practical ability in AI applications, as reflected in the pre-test results. However, post-test data showed a significant improvement not only in their technical proficiency but also in their enthusiasm to further explore AI technologies. Moreover, students gained increased confidence in producing creative outputs, transforming their role from passive consumers of digital tools into active and competent content creators. In conclusion, this participatory and practice-oriented training model effectively bridges the digital competency gap, enhances students’ job readiness, and fosters an innovative mindset.

In addition to the key findings, the study also emphasizes the importance of fostering a deeper understanding of the role of audit committees within the broader context of financial governance. Despite the recognition of the audit committee’s importance in improving the quality of financial reporting, the findings indicate that there is a significant gap in the implementation of best practices across private commercial banks in Iraq. This gap is attributed to the lack of full compliance with regulatory requirements regarding the composition of audit committees, particularly in terms of ensuring independence and financial expertise. The study further reveals that while the audit committee's independence and expertise play a crucial role in enhancing the quality and relevance of financial information, many banks still struggle to implement effective oversight mechanisms. This situation is exacerbated by the complex regulatory environment in Iraq, where overlapping supervisory authorities and weak enforcement of governance mechanisms hinder the effectiveness of financial reporting processes. The lack of coordination between audit committees and internal audit units, as well as the limited ability to assess financial performance, further undermines the oversight function of audit committees. To address these challenges, the study suggests several recommendations, including enhancing the legal framework to enforce stricter compliance with the formation of qualified and independent audit committees. Additionally, increasing awareness and training among stakeholders about the importance of audit committees and their roles in ensuring transparent and reliable financial disclosures is crucial. Strengthening the oversight function and improving coordination between audit committees and internal audit units will also help in mitigating the existing weaknesses in the financial reporting process. These steps are essential for improving the reliability of financial information, thereby fostering investor confidence and contributing to the overall stability of the banking sector in Iraq.

This study investigates KIDI IoT, an educational service by PT Telkom Indonesia designed to bridge the skills gap between Vocational High School (SMK) graduates and the demands of the Industry 4.0 workforce. The primary objective was to assess the extent to which the KIDI IoT service fulfilled the requirements of educators and learners to substantiate its value proposition. A qualitative, exploratory methodology was employed utilizing in-depth interviews and the Value Proposition Canvas (VPC) framework for analysis. The outcomes demonstrate how effectively the program's project-based, experiential approach increases user motivation and offers a practical, industry-relevant learning environment. The service successfully generates the desired customer benefits. A major customer pain point that the current model ignores is that participants often expressed that the two-day offline training period was insufficient to help them master the material or build their confidence for working independently. This led to a significant misalignment. The KIDI IoT value proposition is fundamentally strong and well-regarded; however, the study concludes that its implementation necessitates improvement, particularly through the provision of more specialized teacher training and an extended training duration, to ensure sustained impact and skill acquisition.

Bulian coconut chips are a typical Jambi food made from dried and fried old coconuts. The traditional production method and inadequate hygiene standards make this product susceptible to microbial contamination, especially harmful bacteria. This study aims to identify the types of bacteria that may be present in Bulian coconut chips using culture and Gram staining methods as the initial step for morphological identification. Samples were taken from three local producers in Bulian District, Batanghari Regency, Jambi. Testing was carried out by serial dilutions up to 10⁻⁴, then planted on Nutrient Agar (NA) media and incubated for 24 hours at 37°C. The colonies that grew were then observed morphologically and Gram staining was performed using a modified method without alcohol. The results showed the presence of various colonies with cream, white, and pale yellow colors. Based on the results of Gram staining, bacilli and cocci were found, which were included in the Gram-positive and Gram-negative categories. The types of bacteria suspected to appear include Bacillus sp., Staphylococcus sp., and possibly Escherichia coli. These findings indicate a risk of microbial contamination that could endanger consumer health, especially if the production process is not improved. Strict hygiene and sanitation principles are strongly recommended in the processing of this traditional food to ensure the product remains safe for consumption. The importance of implementing hygienic standards in the production of Bulian coconut chips is further emphasized by these findings. In addition to improving food safety, implementing proper sanitation procedures can also extend the product's shelf life and increase consumer confidence in local traditional foods. Efforts such as training local producers, using clean equipment, and hygienic packaging can help minimize the risk of bacterial contamination.

Understanding verb-noun collocations is essential for exploring how abstract personal qualities are represented in language. This study aims to find out the types of verbs that occur before the five self-related compound nouns (self-esteem, self-confidence, self-assurance, self-worth, and self-respect), and investigate their collocational patterns. The data in this study were obtained from the Corpus of Contemporary American English (COCA). The data were collected by applying the documentation method. The technique involved searching for five compound nouns within the corpus and recording instances of their use. These occurrences, along with their collocates, were then copied and organized in an Excel spreadsheet. In the spreadsheet, columns were adjusted to separate and classify key elements such as the compound noun, the collocating verb, frequency data, and context sentences. The collected data were analyzed qualitatively to provide insights into lexical patterns, the types and tokens of frequency. The results show that the verbs that collocate with five self-related compounds in COCA vary in number and frequency, with self-confidence showing the highest types (20) and self-assurance the lowest (9). The verb build appears most frequently with self-confidence and self-esteem (4 tokens each), suggesting both are viewed as qualities that can be constructed or improved. Self-respect predominantly collocates with have (4 tokens), implying it is seen as possessive, while self-worth reflects both positive and negative framing through increase and reduce (2 tokens each). In contrast, self-assurance is frequently associated with lack (4 tokens) and show (2 tokens), indicating its absence or visibility. These patterns reveal that verb collocates offer important insights into how language frames self-constructions.

The low reading interest and literacy skills of elementary school children in Indonesia remain a problem that requires creative and sustainable solutions. Factors such as limited access to quality books, a lack of reading habits at home, and uninteresting learning approaches are often the causes of a weak literacy culture among students. To address this problem, the Student Community Service Program (KKN) of Sebelas Maret University students in Singodutan Village implemented an activity aimed at fostering a culture of literacy in children through a Reading Book Content-Based Project at SDN 3 Krisak. The concept of this activity integrates reading activities with the creation of creative projects that are appropriate to the content of the reading, so that students not only understand the text but are also able to process the information into real products. This study used a qualitative approach with a phenomenological research type to understand students' experiences during the activity. Data were collected through observation, documentation, and literature review, which were then analyzed descriptively. Activities included selecting reading books appropriate to students' ability levels, shared reading, discussions about the reading content, and the creation of creative projects such as posters, picture stories, or artwork inspired by the reading material. The results of the activity showed an increase in student participation in reading activities, an increase in interest in books, and an improvement in their ability to process information into creative works. Furthermore, students demonstrated greater self-confidence when presenting their work to their classmates.

This research seeks to examine the impact of inflation and exchange rates on the Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) from 2019 to 2024. The study uses secondary monthly data for inflation, exchange rates, and the JCI, which were sourced from the official websites of Bank Indonesia and IDX. A quantitative approach is employed, utilizing multiple linear regression analysis along with classical assumption tests and both simultaneous and partial hypothesis testing. The findings reveal that, individually, both inflation and exchange rates have a significant effect on the JCI. When analyzed together, inflation and exchange rates also significantly influence the JCI. These results underscore the importance of macroeconomic stability, particularly the stability of the rupiah exchange rate, in shaping stock market trends in Indonesia. The study suggests that fluctuations in the inflation rate and the exchange rate can lead to uncertainty in the stock market, impacting investor decisions and market performance. These findings are particularly relevant in the context of Indonesia’s open economy, where external factors and global economic conditions can also influence domestic financial markets. This research aims to offer valuable insights to investors, policymakers, and academics, helping them understand how key macroeconomic variables, such as inflation and exchange rates, influence the dynamics of the capital market. The study emphasizes the need for maintaining economic stability to foster a conducive environment for market growth and investor confidence. By analyzing these macroeconomic factors, the study provides a clearer understanding of their role in stock market performance and offers a foundation for future research and policy development in the Indonesian financial market. Additionally, the results of this research could serve as a basis for further studies that explore the relationship between macroeconomic factors and stock market behavior in emerging markets.

Free trade provides significant opportunities for developing countries to increase exports, expand market access, and drive economic growth. Through engagement in global markets, products and services can reach a wider range of consumers, creating the potential for increased national income. However, global economic integration also presents serious challenges, particularly in terms of the protection of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR). As national boundaries in economic activity become increasingly blurred, intellectual property—including patents, trademarks, industrial designs, copyrights, and trade secrets—becomes increasingly vulnerable to infringement. Common forms of infringement include piracy, counterfeiting of branded products, and theft of technology or innovation. These practices not only harm creators or rights owners but can also hinder the development of innovation, reduce industrial competitiveness, and undermine consumer confidence. Adequate IPR protection requires a combination of strong national regulations and an effective international legal framework. Instruments such as the TRIPS (Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights) Agreement under the WTO provide global standards to which compliance must be adhered, but implementation at the national level is crucial for their success. Weak or inconsistent law enforcement can open the door to violations that harm both domestic and foreign businesses. Beyond legal aspects, effective IPR protection also impacts the investment climate. Investors tend to invest in countries that can guarantee the security of their intellectual assets. Therefore, IPR protection is not only a legal issue but also a long-term economic development strategy. Therefore, in the era of free trade, developing countries need to balance market openness with strengthening IPR protection systems to create a conducive environment for innovation, sustainable economic growth, and public welfare.
