This study analyses the synergy between teachers and parents through a home visit programme at Jenu Islamic Junior High School in supporting student learning assistance. A descriptive qualitative method was applied with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation studies conducted over three months. The results show that the home visit programme, conducted regularly every three months, has succeeded in building effective collaboration between educators and parents in supporting student learning. Home visits not only strengthen the emotional bond between the school and families, but also enable teachers to understand the learning conditions of students directly in their home environment. This programme has had a significant impact on improving student motivation, attendance, and discipline. Despite facing obstacles such as scheduling difficulties and ethical challenges for female teachers in visiting the homes of male parents, the personalised approach applied in this programme proved to be capable of creating a more inclusive and sustainable educational environment. The home visit programme has become an effective mentoring model for improving the holistic academic and character development of students based on Islamic values.

The tradition of pregnant women hiding under the bed during a lunar eclipse is still found in some Muslim communities in Indonesia. This tradition is believed to serve as a means of protecting the fetus from the negative impacts of the eclipse, both physically and metaphysically. This study aims to examine this tradition from the perspective of Living Hadith, namely how the Prophet’s hadiths are understood, interpreted, and practiced within the social life of the community. This research employs a qualitative approach using field study methods, including observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that this tradition has no direct textual basis in the Prophet’s hadiths; rather, it has developed through processes of religious interpretation, local myths, and traditional knowledge that are associated with Islamic teachings. The community often relates this tradition to hadiths concerning eclipses as signs of God’s power and as moments to increase supplication and prayer. This tradition reflects a form of acculturation between Islamic values and local culture, while also demonstrating how hadiths are “lived” within the collective consciousness of the Muslim community, even when such practices do not fully align with the textual meanings of the hadiths.

This study aims to analyze the compatibility between land use practices and watershed management regulations in Gorontalo Regency through ecological, normative, and axiological approaches. Rapid land cover changes from the upstream to downstream areas, particularly in the Biyonga, Alo-Pohu, and Limboto watersheds, have caused severe impacts such as increased erosion, sedimentation, and reduced hydrological function. The study employs a qualitative analysis using a literature-based method, reviewing key scientific articles from Jurnal Ilmu Lingkungan Universitas Gadjah Mada, Sustainability (MDPI), and Engineering, Technology & Applied Science Research, as well as regulatory documents such as Government Regulation No. 37 of 2012, Government Regulation No. 27 of 2023, Regional Regulation of Gorontalo Province No. 11 of 2014, and Governor Regulation No. 19 of 2019. The findings reveal that, ecologically, the conversion of agricultural lands into settlements has increased sediment yield and reduced soil infiltration capacity. Normatively, most land use activities remain inconsistent with soil and water conservation regulations. Axiologically, there is a gap between sustainability values embedded in policy and the community’s practical behavior in managing land resources. This study highlights the need for integrating scientific, legal, and ethical perspectives to strengthen sustainable watershed management in Gorontalo. Therefore, the findings are expected to serve as a policy recommendation framework for local governments in developing adaptive and ecologically grounded watershed management strategies.

This study examines the use of digital Qur’an applications at Pondok Pesantren Al-Asy‘ariyyah Kalibeber by focusing on the relationship between technological practicality and the preservation of the printed mushaf. Employing a qualitative method with a descriptive-analytical approach, data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving pesantren leaders, teachers, active students, and senior students. The findings reveal that the digital Qur’an is accepted as a supporting learning medium due to its practicality and efficiency, particularly for students with sufficient digital literacy. However, the printed mushaf remains the primary reference in Qur’anic learning as a form of respect for its sacred value, the pesantren’s scholarly tradition, and the limited digital literacy among senior students and teachers. This study demonstrates that the utilization of the digital Qur’an in the pesantren context is selective and contextual, serving as a complementary tool rather than a replacement for the mushaf. These findings indicate that pesantren are capable of responding to technological developments in a balanced and tradition-oriented manner.

The axiology of science is a branch of the philosophy of science that examines the values, goals, and orientations of scientific knowledge utilization. This article aims to philosophically analyze the concept of the axiology of science from Western and Islamic perspectives, highlighting their fundamental similarities and differences. This research employs a qualitative method, employing a literature review approach with descriptive-analytical and comparative methods. The results of the study indicate that in the Western philosophical tradition, the axiology of science has developed historically, from the search for the highest good in classical times to the tendency towards value relativism in the modern and postmodern eras, with human rationality as the center of value determination. Meanwhile, the axiology of science in Islam is rooted in monotheism as a metaphysical foundation, with revelation as the primary source of values and reason serving as an interpretive instrument. Despite paradigmatic differences, both traditions affirm that science cannot be separated from moral dimensions and ethical responsibility. This article concludes that dialogue between Western and Islamic axiology is essential for building a scientific paradigm that is not only rational and progressive, but also moral, just, and oriented towards the welfare of humanity.

Interreligious dialogue in contemporary plural societies faces serious challenges, particularly due to differences in the use and interpretation of religious language, which is often understood in a monolithic and decontextualized manner. Religious language is frequently reduced to doctrinal propositions debated through logical arguments, thereby neglecting the form of life from which it emerges. This study aims to analyze the transformation of Ludwig Wittgenstein’s thought from the picture theory presented in Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus to the concept of language games developed in Philosophical Investigations, as well as its implications for understanding religious language and contemporary interreligious dialogue. This research employs a qualitative approach using a library research method through philosophical-conceptual analysis of Wittgenstein’s major works and relevant secondary literature. The findings indicate that the concept of language games allows religious language to be understood as a social practice with internal rules and contextual meanings, rather than as metaphysical propositions subject to empirical-logical verification. In the context of interreligious dialogue, this approach helps explain differences in the meanings of religious terms such as “salvation” or “God” without treating them as absolute logical contradictions. By viewing religious language as part of language games rooted in distinct forms of life, interreligious dialogue can be directed toward mutual understanding and respect for diversity rather than the pursuit of theological uniformity.

Social media has become an alternative space for emotional expression among university students, particularly as a medium for sharing personal problems or emotional distress. This study aims to examine the effect of social media use as a venting platform on the mental health of students at STAIN Mandailing Natal. A quantitative associative research design was employed, involving 25 fifth-semester students as respondents. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire measuring the intensity of social media venting behavior and mental health indicators, including stress, anxiety, mood, and self-confidence. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential tests, including correlation and simple linear regression. The findings indicate that social media use as a place for venting has a significant relationship with students’ mental health. Positive responses received through social media tend to improve emotional well-being, while negative responses may increase stress and anxiety levels. These findings suggest that social media can function both as a supportive and risky environment for students’ mental health, depending on how it is used. Therefore, students are encouraged to use social media wisely, and educational institutions are advised to provide mental health literacy and guidance related to healthy social media use.

Customer satisfaction is a central issue in marketing management, as it plays a crucial role in determining customer loyalty amid increasingly intense business competition. A comprehensive understanding of the factors influencing customer satisfaction is essential not only for academics in strengthening marketing theory but also for practitioners in designing effective service and product strategies. This article aims to address two research questions: (1) what are the dominant factors influencing customer satisfaction, and (2) how does customer satisfaction relate to customer loyalty? The study employed a qualitative literature review method. The data consisted of scientific articles published between 2020 and 2025, accessed through Google Scholar and Publish or Perish (PoP) using the keyword “customer satisfaction.” From an initial selection of 30 articles, 27 were identified as relevant, and 5 core articles were further analyzed. The findings reveal three main themes: product and service quality as the dominant determinants of customer satisfaction; price, brand image, and promotion as supporting factors; and customer trust as an important mediating variable in building loyalty. This study concludes that customer satisfaction serves as a strategic link between service quality and customer loyalty. Future research is encouraged to explore the roles of digitalization, customer experience, and sustainability in shaping long-term customer satisfaction.

This study examines the modern Islamic thought developed by Amin Abdullah, particularly through the concept of integrative and interconnective Islam. The main issue discussed is the fragmentation between religious sciences (naqliyah) and modern sciences (‘aqliyah) in the contemporary Islamic knowledge corpus. The purpose of this research is to analyze Amin Abdullah’s efforts in reconstructing the epistemology of Islamic knowledge through the integration of these two domains of knowledge. This research uses a qualitative-descriptive approach with a literature study method, analyzing Amin Abdullah's key works and relevant academic discourses. The results show that the integrative-interconnective paradigm offered by Amin Abdullah provides a holistic framework for understanding Islam in the modern era. This approach encourages a dialogical relationship between religion, science, and social reality, ensuring that Islamic thought remains relevant and dynamic amidst global changes. The study concludes that Amin Abdullah's perspective makes a significant contribution to the renewal of Islamic scholarship by bridging tradition and modernity. Thus, this integrative-interconnective perspective is expected to enrich the development of Islamic thought in a more inclusive and open manner.

This paper examines Martin Heidegger’s philosophical thought, focusing on fundamental ontology as an effort to revive the question of the meaning of Being (Sein), which has been neglected in the Western metaphysical tradition. Heidegger criticizes earlier philosophy for concentrating primarily on entities (beings) rather than addressing the essence of Being itself. Through a phenomenological-hermeneutic approach, Heidegger introduces the concept of Dasein as the distinctive mode of human existence characterized by reflective awareness of its own being. Dasein is understood as being-in-the-world, meaning that human existence is inseparable from its social, historical, and existential contexts. This paper discusses the existential structures of Dasein, including thrownness, facticity, care, temporality, and the distinction between authentic and inauthentic modes of existence. By emphasizing lived experience, Heidegger’s philosophy offers a profound and dynamic understanding of human existence beyond abstract metaphysical speculation. The paper concludes that Heidegger’s thought remains highly relevant for contemporary society, particularly in encouraging individuals to reflect on self-identity, freedom, and existential responsibility amid the complexities of modern life.
