Tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease caused by the bacterium Mycobacterium tuberculosis. It is transmitted through the air, specifically through droplets expelled by sufferers when coughing or sneezing. TB is divided into two main types: pulmonary TB, which attacks the lungs, and extrapulmonary TB, which can affect other organs such as the pleura, lymph nodes, skin, bones, and meninges. In the Community Health Center (Puskesmas) work area, 77 new cases of pulmonary TB were recorded from January to April 2025. Meanwhile, coverage of Tuberculosis Prevention Therapy (TPT) only reached 44.7%, still below the national target of at least 50%. This condition indicates the need for increased health promotion activities and community diagnostic approaches as promotive and preventive measures, in order to increase TPT coverage and reduce the incidence of TB. The results of the respondent questionnaire showed that the level of public knowledge about TB reached 64.6%, positive attitudes at 94%, and preventive behavior at 72%. Based on these findings, it is recommended that outreach activities be conducted regularly to improve public understanding, which can ultimately encourage behavioral changes and reduce TB cases.

This study highlights the crucial role of learning interest as a key determinant of success in the educational process. The research was conducted through interviews with teachers and direct observations in the learning environment, aiming to explore how various factors influence students’ interest, particularly in religious education. The findings indicate that teachers play an essential role by adopting creative approaches in their teaching methods. For instance, the integration of digital tools, such as instructional videos, was found to be highly effective in capturing students’ attention and enhancing their engagement during lessons. Furthermore, parental support emerged as a significant factor, as parents act as the first educators at home by instilling fundamental religious values and attitudes that shape students’ motivation. The results also suggest that a positive classroom atmosphere, where students feel appreciated and supported by their teachers, contributes to higher levels of interest and participation in religious studies. In addition, the study emphasizes the importance of differentiated instruction, where tasks are adjusted to match students’ abilities and learning needs. By connecting lesson materials with real-life experiences, teachers can further foster students’ intrinsic motivation, making learning more meaningful and relevant. Overall, the research demonstrates that cultivating interest in learning requires collaboration between teachers, parents, and supportive learning environments.

This research explores how bullying is depicted in the animated film “Jumbo” through the lens of Roland Barthes' semiotic theory. Utilizing a descriptive qualitative approach, the study analyzes the denotative, connotative, and mythological meanings embedded within the film’s visual and narrative elements. Through this lens, the film is interpreted not merely as a piece of children's entertainment but as a medium that carries deeper social messages. The central character, Don, is portrayed as physically different from his peers, which becomes a symbol of broader societal rejection and marginalization. His journey reflects the internal and external struggles faced by individuals who do not conform to mainstream standards. Key symbolic components—such as Don’s unusually large physique, his inherited storybook, and the way he interacts with others—highlight themes of courage, empathy, personal identity, and the desire for social inclusion. The film subtly critiques the normalization of bullying and challenges dominant myths that suggest acceptance and success are only for those who meet certain physical or social norms. Through its narrative, Jumbo promotes values of diversity and encourages viewers, especially young audiences, to question unjust stereotypes and embrace empathy. By decoding the semiotic messages in Jumbo, this study contributes to a deeper understanding of how animated films can serve as powerful educational tools. They can raise awareness about social issues, influence attitudes, and inspire critical reflection, especially when they employ symbolism that resonates with real-life experiences. This research ultimately highlights the potential of animation as a medium for moral and social education beyond its entertainment function.

This classroom action research evaluates the effectiveness of Problem Based Learning in learning Biology on the topic of environmental change at Rosa de Lima Catholic High School Tondano, with the aim of improving the activities and learning outcomes of grade X students. The method used is two action cycles with stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects are 10 students. Tools include Teaching Modules and Student Worksheets; Data was collected through observation sheets of teacher and student activities (scales 1–4) and 10-item learning outcome tests each cycle. The descriptive analysis calculates the grade average and classical completeness against the Minimum Completeness Criterion of 75. The results showed consistent improvement from cycle I to cycle II. Classical completeness increased from 66% (6 out of 9 students attended; average 76.67) to 90% (9 out of 10 students; average 81.00). The teacher's activity observation score increased from 3.75 to 3.91, while the student's activity from 3.50 to 3.60. The increase is fueled by the formulation of contextual problems, facilitation of guiding questions, individualized feedback, and more disciplined time management, which strengthens engagement, collaboration, and scientific reasoning. The findings indicate that Problem Based Learning is effective in improving Biology learning activities and outcomes on the topic of environmental change. This study adds to the empirical evidence in the context of high schools with low initial completeness and suggests further exploration of other Biology topics along with measurements of critical thinking skills and scientific attitudes for a more comprehensive picture of impact.

This study aims to examine the implementation of librarians' personal competencies within the framework of the 4B concept (Beauty, Brain, Behaviour, Brave) at the Regional Library of Tulungagung Regency. The 4B concept was initially popularized in the pageant world but has since evolved into an approach applicable to service-oriented professions, including librarianship. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, using in-depth interviews with three informants: the Head of the Library and Archives Service and two female librarians who also serve as division heads. The findings indicate that each element of the 4B concept is evidently manifested in the personal competencies of female librarians. The beauty aspect reflects not only physical appearance but also personal integrity and efforts to create an appealing service environment. Brain is demonstrated through mastery of knowledge and librarianship skills. Behaviour is reflected in professional attitudes, empathy, and work ethics in service interactions. Meanwhile, brave is embodied in the courage of female librarians to take on strategic roles, lead innovations, and face challenges in the public sphere. These findings reinforce the perspective that female librarians possess capabilities equal to their male counterparts in terms of professionalism and play an active role in challenging gender stereotypes in the library environment. This research contributes to the development of a humanistic and gender-equality-based librarian competency model.

Human life is highly dependent on a balanced relationship with both the natural and social environment. However, environmental degradation caused by human greed, uncontrolled exploitation of natural resources, and unsustainable consumption patterns has led to widespread ecological crises across various parts of the world. This study aims to examine in depth how ecological values embedded in Buddhist teachings can foster strong environmental awareness, particularly among Buddhist communities. Using a qualitative literature review method, the study systematically analyzes various textual sources, including Buddhist scriptures, classical literature, and contemporary ecological literature. The findings indicate that Buddhist teachings, which emphasize the principles of interdependence, moral ethics, mindfulness, and respect for all living beings, can cultivate attitudes of care and responsibility toward the environment when these values are consistently integrated into education from an early age, both within families, schools, monasteries, and the broader community. This study makes a significant contribution to the discourse on religion-based ecological ethics by positioning Buddhist ecology as a conceptual framework for the sustainable and profound transformation of ecological consciousness.

Investment decision-making among millennials in Indonesia is not only influenced by rational considerations but also by behavioral and psychological factors, which can be explained using the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB). Millennials represent the most active group in adopting digital financial services and participating in various capital market instruments, making it important to understand the determinants of their investment behavior. This study aims to analyze the influence of financial literacy, risk tolerance, financial attitude, and investment experience on investment decisions among millennial employees. The research employed a quantitative design by distributing structured questionnaires to 100 respondents selected using an incidental sampling technique. The study population consisted of millennial employees working at BRI Tower 2, Jakarta. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the Partial Least Squares (PLS) approach, processed through SmartPLS version 4.1.1.2. The results indicate that financial literacy, risk tolerance, and financial attitude significantly and positively affect investment decisions, whereas investment experience has a positive but insignificant effect. These findings confirm the TPB framework, in which financial literacy and financial attitude strengthen attitude toward behavior, while risk tolerance reflects perceived behavioral control. However, investment experience alone is not sufficient to consistently shape rational decision-making. This research contributes theoretically to behavioral finance studies and extends the application of TPB in the context of investment behavior. Practically, the findings imply the need for organizations and policymakers to design targeted financial literacy programs and initiatives that foster positive financial attitudes. Strengthening these aspects is expected to encourage sustainable and rational investment practices among young employees in Indonesia.

Adolescents are a group at risk of emotional and social changes, including the impact of verbal abuse that can lower self-confidence. At SMP Negeri 16 Palangka Raya, some students often face taunts, insults, and hurtful labels from their peers. Some students exhibit shy behavior, withdraw, and have low self-confidence. Verbal abuse is often seen as a joke, but it can negatively affect the psychological condition of adolescents. Positive attitudes are believed to help adolescents face verbal abuse more constructively. This study aims to analyze the relationship between attitudes and adolescents' self-confidence in dealing with verbal abuse. The study used a quantitative method with a correlational design and a cross-sectional approach. A total of 55 students from classes VIII-1 and VIII-2 were selected as samples using total sampling technique. Data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed using Spearman Rank test. The results showed that all respondents had a positive attitude, but 81.8% had only moderate self-confidence. The p-value of 0.007 (< 0.05) indicates a significant relationship between attitude and self-confidence. This suggests that positive attitude alone is not enough, and emotional education and psychosocial support are needed to improve adolescents' self-confidence in dealing with verbal abuse.

Environmental sanitation and hygiene are crucial for preventing skin and infectious diseases, especially in coastal areas. This has led to increased interest in developing environmentally friendly natural alternatives. Mangrove leaves have been studied for their significant antibacterial properties due to bioactive compounds such as saponins and flavonoids. Buti Village is one of the coastal villages with mangrove potential. Although several previous studies have confirmed the technical feasibility of mangrove-based products, there is limited literature on empirical dissemination strategies and community responses, particularly in the 3T (Frontier, Outermost, and Disadvantaged) areas. This study addresses this gap by evaluating dissemination strategies and community responses to innovative mangrove-based soap and hand sanitizer products in Buti Village, Merauke, South Papua. Using a quantitative descriptive approach supported by qualitative research, the study involved a purposive sample of 40 local residents. The dissemination strategy included participatory training, product demonstrations, and educational brochures. Findings showed a high level of acceptance, with 86% of respondents accepting the product, and a significant level of self-reliance, with 81% of participants able to independently produce soap and hand sanitizer products. This demonstrates that a participatory, educational, and locally-based approach is effective in building knowledge and positive attitudes toward environmentally friendly innovations. This research demonstrates that these innovations have significant potential to become sustainable community-based small businesses that can strengthen the local economy while promoting mangrove conservation.
