This study aims to examine the effect of employee competence, behavioral control, and trust on employee performance at the Bojonegoro District Health Office with Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) as an intervening variable. The background of this study is related to the importance of employee performance in achieving public service organizational goals, particularly in the health sector. This study uses an explanatory quantitative method with a Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) approach. The research sample consisted of 100 employees at the Bojonegoro District Health Office. The results of the analysis show that the influence of employee competence on employee performance is not significant, but employee competence has a significant influence on OCB. Behavioral control has a significant effect on employee performance, but its effect on OCB is not significant. Trust has a significant effect on OCB, but its direct effect on employee performance does not. OCB is proven to have a significant effect on employee performance. Therefore, OCB plays an important role as a mediator in improving employee performance. This study provides a theoretical contribution by clarifying the relationship between variables in the context of public service-based government organizations. In practical terms, the results of this study are expected to form the basis for recommendations to improve the quality of human resources and develop managerial strategies at the Bojonegoro District Health Office in order to support the effectiveness and efficiency of public services.

Diseases in primary health services exhibit complex spatial-temporal dynamics due to urbanization and population mobility. Conventional surveillance approaches are difficult to capture these patterns adaptively. Machine learning (ML) based on spatio-temporal modeling offers a solution with the ability to detect disease clusters automatically and with high precision. Research Objectives: This research aims to develop a machine learning model to detect disease hotspots from primary service data in Indonesia, with a focus on improving prediction accuracy, interpretability, and relevance of health policies. Methodology: The primary service dataset for 2024 (5,343 entries) was analyzed using three ML models Gradient Boosting Machine (GBM), Temporal Random Forest (TRF), and Multi-EigenSpot with spatial (village) and temporal (week, month) features. Performance evaluation includes predictive (AUC, F1-score) and spatial (Moran's I, Spatio-Temporal Correlation Index) metrics. Results: The results showed that Multi-EigenSpot achieved the best performance (AUC=0.91; F1=0.86), with the detection of dominant hotspots in Sungai Asam and Beringin Villages. Moran's I value of 0.63 indicates a strong spatial autocorrelation, while STCI=0.57 indicates moderate temporal stability. Conclusions: ML-based spatio-temporal models are effective in identifying hidden disease patterns and have the potential to be integrated into national digital surveillance systems. This approach supports precision public health by providing a scientific basis for real-time location- and time-based intervention policies.

Communicable diseases remain one of the leading public health burdens in Indonesia, particularly in densely populated residential areas and communities with inadequate sanitation. Poor housing conditions including insufficient ventilation, overcrowding, excessive humidity, inadequate lighting, and improper waste and wastewater management have been shown to increase the risk of respiratory infections, diarrhea, and other environment-related diseases. This literature review aims to identify effective environmental health strategies for preventing communicable diseases by synthesizing findings from 11 scientific articles published between 2014 and 2025. The review shows that basic sanitation, indoor air quality, waste management, and the implementation of the Community-Based Total Sanitation (STBM) program are key determinants in reducing disease incidence. Additionally, successful interventions depend heavily on clean and healthy living behaviors (PHBS) and active community participation. These findings highlight the importance of a comprehensive approach that integrates physical environmental improvements, health education, and community empowerment to create healthy settlements and sustainably reduce the risk of communicable diseases.

This study examines how integrating local ecological wisdom and eco-literacy education fosters environmental awareness, behavioral transformation, and health outcomes among Indonesian primary school students. The research responds to the ecological paradox of rapid technological growth amid worsening environmental degradation, where youth eco-literacy remains below 45%, indicating a gap between environmental knowledge and sustainable action. The study aims to develop a culturally responsive model of sustainability education that connects environmental ethics, cultural identity, and public health. Using a qualitative case study design, the research was conducted at SD Islam Kreatif Mutiara Anak Sholeh, Sidoarjo, East Java, from July to August 2025, involving 60 students and six teachers. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, observations, and document analysis. Four major themes emerged: (1) cultural narratives as catalysts for environmental awareness, (2) eco-literacy as experiential and behavioral transformation, (3) collaborative learning as collective environmental agency, and (4) eco-health as psychosocial and physical well-being. Findings show that integrating Majapahit-era ecological values and local storytelling into eco-brick and composting projects enhanced students’ responsibility, cooperation, and emotional balance. The study synthesizes Eco-pedagogy, Constructivism, and Eco-health frameworks into a Culturally Responsive Eco-Health Pedagogy, demonstrating that sustainability learning rooted in culture and participation promotes both environmental and health outcomes. This model contributes to the global Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) 2030 agenda by linking culture, ecology, and well-being in primary education.

The National Health Insurance Program (Jaminan Kesehatan Nasional or JKN) is a government initiative aimed at ensuring equitable, accessible, and affordable healthcare services for all Indonesian citizens. Since its implementation in 2014, the program has covered more than 90% of the population; however, several challenges remain, particularly concerning the quality of services at primary healthcare facilities such as community health centers (puskesmas). This study aims to analyze the quality of JKN services at the Cengkareng Public Health Center, West Jakarta, using the five dimensions of service quality proposed by Parasuraman: tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy. The research employed a descriptive qualitative method through in-depth interviews, direct observations, and document analysis involving healthcare workers and JKN patients. The findings indicate that the overall service quality at Puskesmas Cengkareng remains suboptimal. The tangibles and assurance dimensions are relatively good, while reliability, responsiveness, and empathy are still lacking. Major complaints include long waiting times, poor doctor–patient communication, and unfriendly staff attitudes. These findings highlight the need for improving human resource professionalism, strengthening service management systems, and conducting periodic evaluations to enhance the overall quality and patient satisfaction among JKN participants.
