This study examines the transfer of trademark rights as a means of debt settlement in corporate bankruptcy proceedings, using the bankruptcy case of PT Nyonya Meneer as a case study. The main issue addressed is how trademarks, as intangible intellectual property with high economic value, can be used as debt settlement assets during bankruptcy. This research employs a normative legal method with statutory and conceptual approaches, supported by a review of relevant court decisions. The analysis focuses on the relationship between the provisions of Law No. 37 of 2004 on Bankruptcy and Suspension of Debt Payment Obligations and Law No. 20 of 2016 on Trademarks. Trademarks may be transferred or sold to fulfill the debtor's obligations. Theoretical foundations include the Creditors’ Bargain Theory (Thomas H. Jackson) and the principle of wealth maximization (Richard A. Posner), emphasizing collective settlement and asset value optimization. The findings reveal that trademark transfer in bankruptcy is not explicitly regulated, creating a legal gap that affects the effectiveness of debt settlement and the protection of creditors’ rights. In the PT Nyonya Meneer case, the trademark despite its potential as a debt settlement instrument was not utilized optimally. Therefore, direct transfer of trademarks to creditors as a form of debt payment can be seen as an alternative solution, provided it is conducted under the principles of justice, legal certainty, and efficiency. This study recommends further regulation on the management and transfer of intellectual property within the bankruptcy regime to address the challenges of modern business practices.

Automatic transmission motorcycles, especially those with 110cc engines, are increasingly in demand by the public because of their practicality. The performance of this motorcycle is greatly influenced by the transmission system, especially the Drive pulley and Roller components. The correct setting of the Drive pulley angle and Roller mass can improve engine performance and reduce noise, thus supporting driving comfort. This study aims to analyze the effect of variations in the Drive pulley angle and Roller mass on engine performance, in terms of power (HP), torque (Nm), and noise level (dB) at several engine speeds. The variations tested include the Drive pulley angle of 13.5°–14° and the Roller mass of 13–15 grams, with testing at 5000, 6000, 7000, and 8000 RPM. The test results show that the combination of the angle and Roller mass affects engine performance. At 5000 RPM, the combination of the 14° angle and 15 gram Roller produces the highest power, torque, and noise. At 6000 RPM, the combination of 13.8° and 13 grams produces a maximum power of 6.86 HP and 8.15 Nm of torque, with a noise of 97.40 dB. While at 7000–8000 RPM, the combination of 13.5° and 15 grams provides the best performance with 7.10 HP and 6.30 Nm of torque, accompanied by a noise of 104.17 dB. In general, increasing the angle and mass of the Roller increases performance, but is followed by an increase in noise.

Academic motivation in mathematics remains a critical factor influencing student engagement and performance. This study examined the mediating effect of self-efficacy on the relationship between goal setting and academic motivation among college students. Using mediation analysis, 100 participants were selected through stratified random sampling. Results indicated that self-efficacy partially mediates the relationship, but goal setting unexpectedly had a negative effect on self-efficacy, suggesting that specific goal-setting strategies may introduce pressure or unrealistic expectations. This finding challenges the assumption that goal setting always enhances confidence and motivation. Future research may explore alternative mediating factors and variations in goal-setting strategies. Additionally, educational interventions should integrate self-efficacy-enhancing techniques such as mastery experiences and peer support to maximize student motivation and achievement in mathematics.

This study investigates conversational implicature in the 2024 animated film Inside Out 2 by analyzing characters’ utterances through the lens of Grice’s theory of implicature and cooperative principles. Conversational implicature refers to the implied meanings not directly expressed but inferred through contextual understanding. Employing a qualitative descriptive method, this study examines both particularized and generalized implicatures, drawing data from selected dialogues in the film and its official transcript. The emotional complexity of the movie—highlighted by the presence of characters such as Anxiety, Envy, and Embarrassment—provides rich ground for analyzing indirect communication. Findings show that from 28 data items, 25 are particularized implicatures and 3 are generalized. This distribution emphasizes a strong reliance on context-sensitive communication, where meaning emerges from emotional, psychological, and situational cues. Particularized implicatures often occur in emotionally charged interactions, reflecting the characters’ internal struggles and development, particularly Riley’s journey through adolescence. Generalized implicatures, though less frequent, serve to convey socially shared assumptions, enhancing audience understanding in broader, often humorous contexts. The analysis also highlights how the characters’ utterances align with Grice’s maxims. The maxim of relevance is maintained through contextually appropriate responses; the maxim of quantity appears when speakers provide adequate information; the maxim of quality surfaces through honest and sincere exchanges; and the maxim of manner is evident in clear, concise communication. Together, these implicatures and maxims enrich the film’s emotional depth and narrative subtlety.

Mining roads play an important role in supporting the smooth running of mining activities, especially in the process of transporting materials. The bearing capacity of the soil as a road subgrade greatly affects the stability and resistance of the road to heavy equipment loads. This study aims to analyze the effect of the plasticity index and compaction parameters on the California Bearing Ratio (CBR) value, as well as to determine the thickness of the road layer based on the laboratory CBR value. Testing was carried out at the South Pit of PT. Bina Sarana Sukses site PT. Baramulti Suksessarana with a field test method using the Dynamic Cone Penetrometer (DCP) and laboratory tests such as proctor tests, Atterberg limit tests, and CBR tests on various variations of clay and sand soil mixtures. The results showed that increasing the plasticity index decreased the CBR value, while increasing the maximum dry density and decreasing the optimum water content increased the CBR value. Based on the laboratory CBR value, recommendations were obtained for the appropriate road layer thickness to ensure optimal bearing capacity for heavy equipment passing through the research area.

The TCS3200 color sensor demonstrates limited accuracy under certain environmental conditions, particularly in relation to the distance between the sensor and the object, as well as the surrounding lighting. This study aims to investigate the effects of distance variation (0 cm, 2 cm, 4 cm, and 6 cm) and lighting conditions (bright and dark) on color detection using the TCS3200 sensor integrated with an Arduino microcontroller. An experimental method was employed, with color data converted into the CIELAB color space and analyzed using Delta E as the deviation indicator. The results indicate that the most accurate color readings occur at a distance of 0 cm, where the sensor receives maximum reflected light. Furthermore, measurements taken under dark conditions exhibit more consistent results compared to those under bright lighting, which tends to introduce optical interference. It can be concluded that the TCS3200 sensor performs best at close range and under controlled lighting conditions to ensure accurate and reliable color detection.

The agrarian dispute that occurred in Pakel Village, Banyuwangi, illustrates the complexity of legal issues and structural inequalities that still linger from the New Order era. Several local farmers were detained on charges of vandalism and incitement, despite the fact that they were defending ancestral land that had been managed for generations against the unilateral claims of a plantation company. This article examines the incident through the lens of agrarian law, land ownership rights, and principles of social justice, while also analyzing the state's role in balancing the rights of indigenous communities and corporate interests. This case study shows that a repressive legal approach actually deepens inequality and hinders the process of agrarian reform. The conflict in Pakel Village is a clear reflection of the state's inability to handle agrarian conflicts fairly and sustainably.

The role of fathers in children's lives cannot actually be underestimated. Unfortunately, there are still many children in Indonesia who grow up without the presence or maximum role of a father. This phenomenon is known as fatherlessness. Either because the father is not there (due to divorce or death), or because the father is there but does not carry out his role well. In fact, according to Islamic teachings and legal regulations in Indonesia, fathers have a big responsibility to provide for their children, both materially, with love and attention. Through this study, it is discussed how Islam provides strong warnings for negligent fathers, even calling it a major sin. The Prophet's hadith also emphasizes a lot about a father's responsibility towards his family. Not only that, Indonesian law also has clear regulations regarding sanctions for fathers who abandon their children, including criminal threats. In essence, fathers are not only breadwinners, but also important figures in children's growth and development. If this role is ignored, the impact could be big for the child, family, and even the future of the father himself. The state and society must care more about this, so that Indonesian children can grow up healthy, complete and happy.
