Islamic education during the Khulafaur Rasyidin period (632-661 AD) had an important role in forming the foundations of the Islamic education system during the Khulafaur Rasyidin period, which included the period of leadership of the first four caliphs after the death of the Prophet Muhammad SAW. This research aims to examine in more depth the growth and development of Islamic education during the time of Khulafaur Rasyidin, including the role of the caliphs in supporting the education system and its impact on Islamic society at that time. The author uses a qualitative method with the type of library research. This method aims to explore information in depth from relevant library sources, such as books, scientific articles, journals and other documents. As for the results of this research, the growth and development of Islamic education during the time of Khulafaur Rasyidin focused on teaching the Qur'an and Hadith, the development of educational centers during the time of Abu Bakar, Kutab educational institutions (primary schools) experienced significant progress, during the time of Caliph Umar bin Khattab ra., the social and political situation was in a stable condition and Islamic power was increasingly expanding, where several friends were appointed as teachers in each area they occupied. During the time of Usman ibn Affan the development of Islamic education, both in terms of institutions and materials, was basically not much different from previously. During the time of Ali bin Abi Talib, the development of education did not show significant progress. The Qur'an as the final revelation revealed by Allah SWT has a very central role in shaping the teachings and lives of Muslims. One of the most important aspects of the teachings of the Qur'an is the unity of the people, which can be a foundation in maintaining harmony and solidarity amidst existing differences. The virtues contained in the Qur'an, such as teachings on justice, tolerance, brotherhood, and compassion, provide clear direction for Muslims to unite and work together for the common good. However, amid the diversity of schools of thought, ethnicities, and thoughts in Muslims, it is important to re-explore the basic principles of the Qur'an that can strengthen relations between fellow Muslims. This study aims to explore the virtues of the Qur'an that can be the foundation of teachings that unite Muslims. This study also seeks to understand how these values are applied in the context of the social and cultural life of Muslims, both in the past and in the contemporary era. The method used in this study is a qualitative method, with a thematic interpretation approach to analyze the verses of the Qur'an related to the unity of the people, as well as a study of the hadith to explore the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad SAW regarding the unity of the Muslim community. In addition, this study also uses a historical and socio-cultural approach to understand the application of the teachings of the Qur'an in Muslim society from time to time. The results of the study show that the virtues of the Qur'an, such as teachings on brotherhood, justice, and tolerance, have a very important role in strengthening the unity of Muslims, even though there are differences in terms of schools of thought, culture, and views. The Qur'an provides clear guidelines that differences are not a reason to divide, but rather a blessing that enriches the diversity of Muslims. By exploring and applying the teachings of the Qur'an, Muslims are expected to be able to better maintain unity and harmony in facing the challenges of the increasingly plural and complex modern era.

This study aims to conduct a comparative analysis between national law and Islamic law, focusing on the principles, implementation, as well as the differences and similarities between the two in social, political, and cultural contexts. National law in Indonesia is a combination of customary law, colonial law, and modern law derived from Western legal systems, while Islamic law originates from Sharia, based on the Qur'an and Hadith. In certain areas, such as family law, civil law, and criminal law, these two legal systems exhibit distinct approaches, both philosophically and technically. The study finds that while national law emphasizes secularism and state sovereignty, Islamic law places greater emphasis on moral and divine justice. However, in the Indonesian context, both legal systems sometimes operate in parallel or undergo processes of adaptation and accommodation. This research contributes to a deeper understanding of the dynamics of the interaction between national law and Islamic law, as well as how both influence the judiciary and society in general.

Knowledge plays a central role in Islamic teachings, both as a means to achieve worldly success and salvation in the afterlife. This study aims to examine the virtue of knowledge as the key to worldly and afterlife success based on the perspective of the Qur'an and hadith. The method used is a literature review with a thematic interpretation approach and hadith analysis to examine the verses of the Qur'an and hadiths related to knowledge. The results of the study show that the Qur'an and hadith firmly place knowledge in a very high position, with knowledge being the main factor that elevates human status, both in the world and in the afterlife. In Surah Al-Mujadilah verse 11, Allah SWT states that He will elevate the status of those who have knowledge, while the hadiths of the Prophet Muhammad SAW emphasize that knowledge is the path to heaven and good deeds whose rewards continue to flow. Knowledge not only leads to worldly achievements such as social, economic, and technological progress, but also becomes the main foundation for carrying out worship properly and obtaining happiness in the afterlife.

This study discusses various arguments that have emerged in the literature about whether the use of paylatter systems is in accordance with the principles of hadith and Islamic ethics. From the research results, it is known that there are elements of benefit in the form of processes and procedures that are fast and more useful, have varying time periods, and also have various attractive promotions. As for the detrimental elements, there are additional fees and interest, causing users to feel addicted and losing money, and can tarnish credit reputation and tarnish BI checking. The paylatter system uses a qardh contract which is permitted in Islam if it meets the pillars and conditions. Some scholars allow paylatter as long as there are no additional late fees, others prohibit it because there are many disadvantages.

This study aims to analyze the interpretation of hadiths concerning women’s roles in the public sphere through a hermeneutical approach, reaffirming an inclusive and contextual Islamic perspective on gender. The research arises from the dominance of literal and patriarchal readings of hadiths that tend to limit women’s participation in social and educational domains. Employing a qualitative library research method, this study examines relevant hadith texts and explores the views of contemporary Muslim hermeneutical thinkers such as Nasr Hamid Abu Zayd, Fazlur Rahman, and Amina Wadud. The findings reveal that hermeneutics provides a methodological framework capable of fostering gender-just interpretations by emphasizing the historical, social, and moral dimensions of the hadith text. The reinterpretation demonstrates that many hadiths previously understood restrictively are, in fact, contextual rather than universally normative. The study’s implications encourage a new paradigm in Islamic scholarship that is more reflective, critical, and socially responsive. The novelty of this research lies in integrating hermeneutical analysis with thematic hadith studies on women’s participation in the public domain, an area rarely explored in depth. This research thus contributes significantly to developing a more humanistic and egalitarian Islamic epistemology.

This study investigates the impact of Islamic education on promoting environmental awareness and sustainable economic behavior among youth. As environmental issues continue to pose significant global challenges, fostering eco-conscious behavior among the younger generation is essential for ensuring long-term sustainability. Islamic education, with its emphasis on ethical responsibility, stewardship, and accountability as outlined in the Quran and Hadith, provides a unique framework for shaping pro-environmental attitudes and behaviors. This experimental study compares two groups of students: the treatment group exposed to green-Islamic content and the control group receiving general civic education. The research measures students' environmental awareness, knowledge of sustainability, and behavior before and after the intervention, using pre-test and post-test questionnaires, as well as qualitative interviews. The results indicate that the treatment group exhibited a significantly greater improvement in environmental awareness and sustainable behavior compared to the control group. These findings suggest that Islamic education, by integrating religious and ethical principles into environmental education, can effectively encourage sustainable behaviors such as resource conservation, waste management, and ethical consumption. The study highlights the importance of incorporating Islamic values into educational curricula as a means to foster a more environmentally responsible generation. Additionally, the research emphasizes the need for further studies to explore the long-term effects of eco-conscious Islamic education across different cultural and educational contexts. The results of this study contribute to the growing body of knowledge on the role of religious education in addressing global environmental challenges and promoting sustainable development.

This research aims to examine the concept of Ulil Amri as described in the Quran and Sunnah, and how obedience to Ulil Amri is applied in the context of nationhood, particularly within modern political systems. The research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive-analytical approach, focusing on the interpretation of religious texts and related literature. Primary data sources include the Quran, Hadith, and the commentaries of classical and contemporary scholars, such as Ibn Qayyim, Al-Tabari, and Yusuf Al-Qaradawi. The main findings indicate that obedience to Ulil Amri has clear limitations, particularly when leaders do not govern in accordance with Islamic law. Additionally, the concept of Ulil Amri faces challenges in the modern era, especially in countries that do not fully implement Sharia law. The role of scholars in ensuring that leaders' policies remain aligned with Islamic values has become increasingly significant. The research concludes that obedience to Ulil Amri remains relevant; however, Muslims must balance this obedience with constructive criticism through the principle of Amar Ma’ruf Nahi Munkar when necessary. Consequently, this study suggests that the concept of Ulil Amri in Islam can be dynamically applied within the framework of modern governance.

This research discusses the hadith in Sahih Bukhari that narrates that one of the places of misfortune is women. Textually, this hadith is controversial as it is perceived to contain misogynistic suggestions conveyed by the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). The purpose of this research is to comprehensively understand the process of transmission and the scholars' interpretation of this hadith. Additionally, this research also attempts to interpret the hadith through the contemporary Fiqh al-Hadith methodology proposed by contemporary scholars. The researcher employs a qualitative inductive method, obtaining data and information by collecting classical Islamic texts, including those that specifically explain the related hadith as well as other relevant books. These include books on hadith terminology, hadith commentaries, hadith text, and hadith narrator studies, among others. This research finds that the Sahih Bukhari hadith number 5093 is of hasan quality. This hadith also has many corroborating and supporting narrations of better grades. Meanwhile, the meaning of misfortune contained in it, according to the majority of scholars, is attributed to women temporarily and not permanently. Misfortune is associated with women when they have bad character, infertility, and other non-permanent negative traits. In the mubadalah (reciprocal) method, misfortune is not only attributed to women but also to men, as men can also experience infertility, bad character, and other non-permanent negative traits.

The background of the problem in this research is the quality and understanding of the hadith about performing ablution after consuming processed food. The aim of this research is to determine the quality and understanding of the hadith. This is a qualitative research conducted through library research method, using the takhrij hadith approach with contextual approach. The hadiths are then evaluated to determine their quality. The understanding of these hadiths is then extracted from various books of Hadith commentary. Furthermore, the hadiths are interpreted using a contextual approach by understanding the context, situation, and purpose of the Prophet's hadith. The result of this research is that the hadith about performing ablution after consuming processed food is considered authentic (sahih) in terms of quality, but there are differences in its sources, some are marfu' (directly attributed to the Prophet) and some are mauquf (attributed to a companion). In understanding the hadith about performing ablution after consuming processed food, according to the scholars of Salaf, eating something that has been touched by fire does not nullify ablution, while another group believes that it is obligatory to perform ablution according to sharia because of touching something that has been touched by fire. The hadith that explains this command is to be understood as a sunnah (recommended) and not as an obligation.

Rules in Islam such as Amm and Kash as well as Amr and Nahi are used to understand Islamic law. Where these rules are the basis of Ushul fiqih, which discusses the methodology of determining Islamic law. This study uses a literature research method to understand how these rules are used to understand amm and kash as well as amr and nahi in Ushul fiqih. This data is collected from various written sources such as books, journals, literature and scientific publications. The rule of 'amm and kash' is used to understand the verses of the Qur'an and Hadith. "Amm means general rules and kash means special rules. " Therefore, these rules help determine the laws that apply in general and specifically in Islam. For example, the rule of "amm" can be used to understand verses that are generally applicable to all Muslims, while the rule of khash can be used to understand verses that apply specifically to certain situations. Amr and Nahi are used in understanding Islamic law. Amr means command and nahi means prohibition. These rules are crucial in determining which laws to follow or avoid in Islam. For example, amr can be used to understand the command to pray, and nahi can be used to understand the prohibition of adultery. The results of this study show that the rules of "Amm, Khash, Amr, and Nahi" are very important in enforcing Islamic law. An in-depth study of these rules will help to understand the meaning of sharia statements (Al-Quran and Hadith) more accurately and comprehensively. Misunderstandings in interpreting sharia provisions can be fatal. Therefore, understanding these rules is an important means of avoiding misinterpretation or misleading. This study will also enrich the treasures of Islamic science, especially in the field of Ushul fiqh and Islamic Law. Understanding these rules will help Muslims gain a deeper and more comprehensive understanding of their religious teachings and enable them to practice them more accurately and responsibly. Therefore, this research will help Muslims to face various situations and problems in daily life more wisely.
