Self-evaluation is an important instrument in teacher professional development, as it can help identify strengths and weaknesses in learning practices. This study aims to describe in depth the practice of teacher self-evaluation, the supporting and inhibiting factors, and its impact on teacher professional development in the school environment. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study method focused on a teacher at SMA Negeri 1 Maumere. Data collection techniques were conducted through an open-ended questionnaire designed to explore teachers' understanding of self-evaluation practices, as well as observations of lesson planning documents. The results showed that the teachers who were the subjects of the study had fairly good lesson planning and demonstrated a commitment to improving the quality of teaching. However, several challenges remained, such as difficulties in optimally adapting the curriculum to student needs and limitations in developing and implementing relevant learning evaluation instruments. Furthermore, the utilization of evaluation results for learning improvement has not been optimal. Although teachers have been active in Classroom Action Research (CAR), the integration of self-evaluation results into learning innovations still requires strengthening. Factors supporting self-evaluation include teachers' intrinsic motivation to develop, principal support, and relevant training. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors include time constraints, administrative burdens, and the lack of reflective forums at the school level. This study confirms that self-evaluation conducted in a structured and reflective manner can play a significant role in improving teachers' professional competence and the quality of learning in schools.

Indonesia is a country rich in culture, one of which is batik, recognized by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage of Indonesia. Batik is not only a visual art form but also holds significant potential as a context for teaching mathematics. Unfortunately, the integration of local culture into mathematics education has not been widely implemented. Therefore, this community service activity aims to train teachers and assist students in applying Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) based on batik culture at MTs Nurul Ummah Kotagede, Yogyakarta. The activity was carried out in three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. In the preparation stage, teachers were provided with training on the theory and practice of RME, which was then applied in the classroom. The lesson focused on geometric transformations, using batik patterns as a real-world context. By linking mathematical concepts to the familiar cultural context of batik, it was hoped that students would more easily understand abstract mathematical ideas and find them more meaningful. The results of the activity showed high enthusiasm from the students and positive appreciation from the teachers toward the RME model based on culture. Students demonstrated a better understanding of mathematical concepts, as the learning process connected theoretical knowledge to real-world contexts they recognized. Additionally, teachers acknowledged that using batik culture in mathematics education made the learning experience more enjoyable and meaningful. This activity proves that integrating local culture, such as batik, into RME can increase students' interest in mathematics and help them understand abstract concepts by relating them to real-life experiences.

In today's era of rapid globalization and modernization, each generation in Indonesia has distinct characteristics, particularly in their ways of thinking, interacting, and facing life's challenges. Generation Y (millennials) and Generation Z, who are now entering the world of education, have very different mindsets and adaptation methods compared to previous generations. One of the major challenges faced by educators is how to address these differences, particularly in teaching Islamic religious values and shaping students' religious character amidst the rapid development of technology and social dynamics. The transition from Generation Y to Generation Z brings significant changes in the world of education, particularly for Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers. Generation Z, more familiar with digital technology and the internet, often has a more interactive and visual learning style. They tend to prioritize fast and easily accessible information, and are more open to global cultural influences. This phenomenon presents new challenges for PAI teachers in delivering Islamic religious learning materials that are contextual, relevant, and easily understood by students. The transformation of PAI teachers in shaping students' religious character in this transitional era requires a deep understanding of existing social, technological, and cultural changes. Islamic Religious Education teachers are not only required to possess in-depth knowledge of religious teachings but also to be able to adapt teaching methods to suit the needs of today's students. For example, the use of digital technology in Islamic religious education can facilitate students' access to various relevant information sources, such as Islamic preaching videos, Islamic learning apps, or e-books that can enhance their understanding.

The disruption era, marked by rapid technological development and socio-cultural transformation, presents significant challenges to the spiritual and character formation of young children. In this dynamic context, Christian Early Childhood Education (ECE) teachers are not merely facilitators of learning but are also expected to act as spiritual leaders and moral role models. These responsibilities require a form of leadership that is not only rooted in biblical principles but also adaptive to the shifting demands of the digital age. This study aims to (1) identify the core challenges faced by Christian ECE teachers in the disruption era, (2) examine Christ-centered leadership values, and (3) propose an adaptive spiritual leadership model suitable for Christian ECE settings. Utilizing a qualitative approach through a literature review, data were analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model, which includes data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings highlight two main categories of challenges: external challenges such as the influence of digital media, shifting values in society, and increased parental expectations; and internal challenges including limited teacher capacity, spiritual stagnation, and institutional gaps. In response, this research proposes the "Three-Pillar Adaptive Spiritual Leadership Model," which emphasizes: (1) the teacher's internal spiritual formation and integrity, (2) the implementation of innovative and contextually relevant pedagogical strategies grounded in Christian values, and (3) synergistic collaboration with families and church communities as key support systems. This model provides a conceptual and practical framework for Christian educational institutions to empower teachers in forming resilient, Christ-like character in children. The study contributes to the discourse on faith-based education in the 21st

Teachers frequently encounter heavy workloads, which can reduce job satisfaction. While various research have looked at this link, the function of job motivation as a deciding factor has not been thoroughly investigated. This systematic literature review seeks to investigate how motivation of work affects the relationship between workload with job satisfaction in teachers. Using the PRISMA framework, a thorough search was undertaken across major academic databases such as Crossref, Semantic Scholar, and Google Scholar, focused on publications published between 2015 and 2025. Inclusion criteria were peer-reviewed publications on motivation, workload, and job satisfaction in the context of school teacher. A total of 12 relevant studies were examined thematically. The data show that a high workload typically affects job satisfaction, although this impact can be mitigated or modulated by internal and extrinsic motivating variables. Teachers with higher levels of intrinsic motivation were more tolerant to workload-related stress and reported higher levels of satisfaction. This review emphasizes the necessity of improving motivating tactics in educational institutions in order to increase teacher well-being. More study is needed to investigate contextual variables including school culture and teacher tenure.

Currently, the number of Children with Special Needs (ABK) continues to increase every year, making the role of teachers increasingly vital in providing inclusive education services in schools. This increase in the number of ABK requires teachers to have adequate competencies to provide education tailored to the needs of each child. In this context, inclusive education is crucial, as it provides opportunities for all children, including those with special needs, to learn together in the same environment. This study aims to analyze the role of teachers in the context of inclusive education in Early Childhood Education (PAUD). The method used in this study is qualitative with a narrative approach, conducted in several PAUD institutions in Malang. The results show that teachers have a very important role in inclusive education in PAUD. The role of teachers in question covers several aspects, including the ability to recognize Children with Special Needs (ABK), conduct initial assessments of student needs, and understand how to implement appropriate learning for ABK. In addition, teachers are also expected to be able to use assistive devices to provide simple stimulation to ABK and know how to involve parents in handling ABK. The importance of the teacher's role in inclusive education lies not only in academic abilities, but also in social and emotional skills in creating a supportive learning environment. This research provides valuable insights for the development of training programs for teachers to improve their skills in inclusive education, which is expected to have a positive impact on the quality of education in early childhood education (PAUD). Teachers face complex emotional challenges in the workplace, particularly when dealing with the dynamic nature of Generation Z students. Without adequate emotional regulation skills, teachers are at risk of prolonged stress and burnout. This community service activity aims to improve teachers' emotional regulation skills through training based on Gross's (2003) theory, which includes techniques for recognizing, managing, and responding to emotions adaptively. The activity was conducted at SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Palembang and attended by 30 teachers. The training method included delivering material and practicing emotional regulation in six structured sessions. Results showed that participants were enthusiastic, actively engaged in the practice, and acknowledged their increased understanding and skills in managing negative emotions. Participant reflections indicated that the training helped maintain mental health and increased readiness to face work pressure. In addition, the sessions fostered a supportive environment where teachers could share their emotional experiences and develop mutual empathy. Feedback from participants emphasized the relevance of emotional regulation in daily teaching tasks, including classroom management, dealing with students’ behavior, and interacting with colleagues and parents. However, challenges remain in implementing emotional regulation due to minimal institutional support and limited follow-up programs. Therefore, it is important for this type of training to be integrated into teacher professional development programs and supported by school policies. This activity demonstrates that strengthening teachers' emotional aspects is a strategic step in improving the overall quality of education. Future efforts should involve collaboration with school leadership to institutionalize emotional support mechanisms and conduct longitudinal evaluations to measure sustained impact. Overall, the training offers a promising model for enhancing teacher well-being and professional resilience in demanding educational environments.

Violence in the elementary school environment has a significant impact on the psychological, social, and academic development of students. This study aims to describe the perceptions of Physical Education, Sports and Health (PJOK) teachers and classroom teachers regarding the role of physical education in preventing violence in elementary schools. A combination of descriptive quantitative and qualitative methods was applied, with a sample of 6 teachers (3 physical education teachers and 3 class teachers) from SDN Liunggunung, Tasikmalaya. The participants were selected using proportional stratified random sampling to ensure representativeness. Data collection techniques included a 4-point Likert scale questionnaire, which was validated through expert judgment and tested for reliability using Cronbach’s Alpha (≥ 0.70), along with in-depth interviews to gain richer insights. The results revealed a consensus among both groups of teachers that physical education has a positive and strategic role in preventing violence. This is achieved through the internalization of core character values such as sportsmanship, cooperation, empathy, and discipline. Additionally, physical education serves as a medium to channel students’ physical energy into constructive activities and foster emotional regulation. Structured physical activities—such as team-based games, rhythmic gymnastics, and cooperative challenges—can reduce tendencies toward aggressive behavior and promote social interaction, inclusion, and mutual respect. However, the study also found significant challenges, including inadequate sports infrastructure, limited time allocation within the school curriculum, and the need for professional development among teachers. The conclusion emphasizes that physical education is a vital component in building a safe, inclusive, and character-driven school climate, but its success depends on consistent institutional support and ongoing teacher empowerment.
