This study investigates the impact of Canva, a digital literacy tool, on enhancing student engagement and academic performance through the lens of Self-Determination Theory by Johnmarshall Reeve (2012). Using qualitative methods, data were collected from student responses via questionnaires. The findings reveal that Canva positively influences the four dimensions of engagement: behavioral, emotional, cognitive, and agentic. Behavioral engagement is supported through its intuitive tools that promote focus and persistence. Emotional engagement is enhanced by evoking positive emotions and reducing stress. Cognitive engagement is fostered by encouraging critical thinking and creativity, while agentic engagement empowers students to take ownership of their learning processes. Despite challenges such as limited free features, students effectively utilized Canva’s resources to overcome these barriers. The study concludes that Canva offers a transformative approach to education, promoting 21st-century skills and bridging traditional learning with digital literacy. Future improvements could expand free templates, collaborative features, and educational resources, further amplifying its benefits in academic settings.

The institution of marriage in Indonesia has long been considered a social and moral milestone. However, in the digital era, shifting gender roles and the rise of social media have significantly transformed how young women perceive marriage. This study aims to explore the perceptions of early adult women (aged 18–25) toward the #MarriageIsScary narrative on TikTok, focusing on content from the account @bobahagia19. The research employs a qualitative descriptive approach using interviews, observations, and content analysis of selected TikTok videos. The findings reveal that the #MarriageIsScary trend represents a collective expression of emotional anxiety, self-awareness, and social critique of traditional marriage norms. Participants perceived marriage as an uncertain institution, often associated with emotional instability, betrayal, and loss of autonomy. Yet, the same discourse also fostered empowerment and solidarity among women, forming what scholars describe as digital sisterhood. The discussion integrates sociological and media theories (Giddens, 1992; Papacharissi, 2015; Banet-Weiser, 2018) to illustrate how digital narratives both reflect and reshape cultural meanings of marriage in contemporary Indonesia. Overall, the study concludes that TikTok functions as a participatory space where young women redefine marital expectations through shared emotions, storytelling, and online community engagement.

In an increasingly connected digital era, companies are faced with great challenges in managing crisis communication to maintain their reputation when facing emergency situations. This research aims to analyze effective crisis communication strategies in maintaining the company's reputation, focusing on the application of the theory of “Situational Crisis Communication Theory” (SCCT) and “Integrated Crisis Mapping” (ICM). The research method used is a qualitative approach through case studies on companies in Indonesia that have faced a reputation crisis. The results show that rapid response, use of social media, and transparency are crucial components in an effective crisis communication strategy. Companies that apply the SCCT approach, taking into account the type of crisis and the appropriate response, prove to be better able to reduce negative impacts and strengthen a positive image in the eyes of the public. In addition, ICM helps companies customize their communication strategies based on audience emotions, such as fear or anger, thus increasing the level of public trust during a crisis. In conclusion, a structured and adaptive crisis communication strategy can help companies maintain and even improve their reputation in emergency situations.

This research focuses on designing and simulating a makeup robot control system with a Human-Robot Interaction (HRI) approach. The main goal is to develop a robot that is not only efficient in applying makeup, but also able to interact directly with users. The design of this robot is designed with attention to anthropomorphism and non-verbal interaction, in order to improve user comfort and experience during the use process. This control system leverages cutting-edge sensor technology, such as facial recognition and expression analysis, to detect user emotions and adjust the robot's response in real-time. The simulation process is carried out using the Robot Operating System (ROS) to develop an algorithm that supports task coordination between robots and humans as well as interactive feedback. The results of the simulation show that the robot is able to recognize the user's emotions and adjust their actions, thus creating a more intuitive and responsive interaction experience. This research has made a significant contribution to the development of robotics technology in the field of beauty, thereby improving the user experience in personal care. The findings also pave the way for further research into more complex human-robot interactions that are responsive to individual needs.
