This research examines how the vision and mission in the management of educational institutions, with a focus on MAN 1 Medan. The background of this research stems from the need to improve the quality of human resources in the era of rapid development of science and technology. The method used is a literature study, by collecting and analysing various current literature on the vision and mission of education. The research findings show that a clear and relevant vision serves as a strategic guide in decision-making and educational policy development. In addition, a well-defined mission helps in formulating concrete steps to achieve the vision. The study also emphasises the importance of involving all stakeholders in the vision and mission formulation process so that they can be internalised and accepted by all members of the school community. The purpose of this study is to provide a better understanding of how an effective vision and mission can improve the quality of education and produce globally competitive graduates.

This study examines efforts to strengthen Islamic traditions at Ma'had Putri Nurul Hasan MAN 2 Probolinggo as an important part of building the character of religious, disciplined, and noble students. The Islamic traditions implemented include various routine activities such as studying the yellow book, dhikr together, reading the maulid, praying in congregation, and other daily practices. These activities are designed not only to strengthen students' understanding of Islamic teachings but also to create a spiritual environment that supports character formation based on Islamic values. With a qualitative-descriptive approach, this study describes in depth the implementation of Islamic traditions, the challenges faced, and their impact on the formation of students' characters. The results of the study show that strengthening Islamic traditions at Ma'had Putri Nurul Hasan not only succeeded in forming the religious character of students but also had a positive influence on their social and emotional lives. Traditions such as studying the yellow book using the bandongan and sorogan methods, as well as the integration of Islamic-based activities in the education curriculum, have been proven to be able to improve the discipline, responsibility, and social awareness of students. On the other hand, this study also found significant challenges in the implementation of Islamic traditions, including the influence of modernization and globalization that bring popular cultural values ​​that are less in line with Islamic teachings, limited infrastructure, and lack of family involvement in supporting Islamic education. This study concluded that despite facing various challenges, Islamic traditions at Ma'had Putri Nurul Hasan can remain relevant by adopting an innovative and collaborative approach. The use of digital technology, increasing teacher capacity, and strengthening synergy with families and the community are strategic steps that can support the sustainability of this program. This study not only contributes to the development of Islamic education in Indonesia but also becomes a model for other Islamic educational institutions in maintaining Islamic traditions as the identity and strength of the people in the modern

This study explores the relationship between financial literacy, consumer communication, and financial decision-making among English Literature students at Universitas Negeri Medan. Using surveys with 40 participants aged 20-24, the research assesses students’ financial literacy levels, preferences for communication formats, and their impact on financial behaviors. Rsults indicate that while most students have a basic understanding of financial concepts, gaps exist in budgeting, selecting financial products, and seeking assistance. Visual formats like videos and infographics are the preferred communication channels, while social media, though widely accessed, often lacks clarity. Only a portion of students applies financial literacy effectively in decision-making, such as evaluating financial products critically or avoiding unnecessary spending.  The findings emphasize the importance of integrating tailored financial education programs with effective communication strategies. Enhancing financial literacy through practical and accessible learning methods can empower students to make informed and strategic financial decisions.

This paper discusses the role of Indonesia's maritime diplomacy in realizing its vision as the Global Maritime Fulcrum (Poros Maritim Dunia - PMD). Indonesia’s maritime diplomacy focuses on strengthening maritime security, enhancing maritime infrastructure connectivity, sustainable marine resource management, and promoting maritime culture. Through active participation in international forums such as IORA and cooperation with G20 countries, Indonesia aims to strengthen its strategic position as a global maritime trade hub. This study highlights how maritime diplomacy supports the achievement of the five pillars of PMD, solidifying Indonesia's role in the Indo-Pacific region and enhancing the country's global influence.

In the digital era, journalistic photography has a strategic role in conveying effective messages through visual elements. Visually, the use of journalistic photography is not only used as a complement to text news, but helps readers understand the messages in an event more clearly and in depth. Among the messages that can be conveyed through journalistic photography is the visual message of religious moderation, which includes the value of tolerance, openness, and harmony between religious believers. Using the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method, this research aims to implement EDFAT (Entire, Detail, Frame, Angle, Time) photography technique training for the students of UIN K.H. Abdurrahman Wahid Pekalongan who have an interest and focus on the field of Islamic journalism. Through this training, students are equipped with technical photography skills to produce journalistic photography works that can support the amplification of religious moderation messages in digital media. This research concludes that the EDFAT technique is a relevant method for producing photographic works that are not only visually attractive but also effective in amplifying messages of religious moderation.

The South China Sea dispute is one of the most complex and strategic geopolitical conflicts, involving rivalry between the United States and China, as well as a number of countries in the region. This research aims to analyze Bobby Nasution’s campaign speech using Aristotle’s rhetorical proofs and Griffin’s Theory of Strategic Communication. The study investigates rhetorical proofs of logos, ethos, and pathos and explores their application in political communication. This qualitative research utilized content analysis with data derived from the transcript and video of Bobby Nasution’s speech, titled "Bobby Nasution Janji Prioritaskan Kesehatan dan Penanganan Hukum jika Menang Pilgub Sumut," uploaded on the YouTube channel Official iNews. The findings reveal that Bobby Nasution employed rhetorical proofs with a distribution of logos (37%), ethos (42%), and pathos (21%). Ethos was further demonstrated through practical wisdom (phronesis), moral virtue (arete), and goodwill (eunoia). Additionally, the speech balanced emotional appeals such as anger versus calmness and fear versus confidence to connect with the audience. This research contributes to the study of rhetoric by highlighting the importance of strategic communication in political campaigns and its relevance to audience engagement.

Islamic accounting is a system grounded in Islamic sharia principles, such as fairness, transparency, and social responsibility. This accounting framework is designed to help companies ensure that their operations and financial reports comply with sharia law. This article examines the role of Islamic accounting as a source of information for sharia-compliant companies. Islamic accounting offers a financial reporting framework that reflects adherence to Islamic values, including the prohibition of usury, gharar (excessive uncertainty), and haram (forbidden) transactions. By providing accurate and relevant information, Islamic accounting aids companies in making strategic decisions aligned with sharia principles. Additionally, it assures stakeholders, including investors and the public, that the company’s operations are conducted ethically and responsibly. Therefore, Islamic accounting functions not only as a financial reporting tool but also as a strategic framework for managing companies committed to sharia compliance.

This research focuses on the planning of new pedestrian routes, including underpasses and skywalks, in the commercial areas of Jalan Boulevard and Jalan Pengayoman, Makassar City. The main problem faced is the lack of comfort and safety of pedestrian paths due to illegal parking, congestion, and limited pedestrian facilities. The research aims to design a pedestrian path that is standardized, comfortable, and integrated with strategic areas. The methods used include field observations, interviews, and analysis of primary and secondary data. The results showed that the majority of respondents supported the development of pedestrian paths and skywalks with important elements such as adequate lighting, accessibility for people with disabilities, and supporting facilities such as seating and clear direction markers. The path design is designed to connect with public transport hubs, shopping centers, and office areas, prioritizing convenience, safety, and sustainability. This research provides design recommendations based on regulations such as Technical Guidelines No. 027/T/Bt/1995 and Permen PUPR No. 5 of 2023. The implementation of new skywalks and pedestrian paths is expected to improve the quality of public spaces, reduce congestion, and create a more comfortable, efficient, and inclusive urban environment.

Law enforcement of road transportation traffic is one of the important aspects in maintaining road safety and order. However, the effectiveness of monitoring and evaluating the performance of Civil Servant Investigators (PPNS) in law enforcement is often hampered by unstructured processes and lack of transparency in reporting. This research aims to analyze the role of information technology (IT)-based system development in improving transparency, efficiency, and accountability in monitoring and evaluating PPNS performance. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach, which involves analyzing the application of information systems in institutions that handle traffic law enforcement. The results showed that IT systems can improve transparency by providing clear and real-time data access, increase efficiency by speeding up data processing and analysis, and strengthen accountability through auditable digital records. The study concludes that the development and implementation of IT systems in the oversight of PPNS performance not only improves the effectiveness of traffic law enforcement, but also strengthens the integrity and public trust in the institutions that carry out these tasks. The implementation of IT systems is expected to be a strategic solution in improving the quality of public services in the field of traffic law.

This study examines the influence of Local Own Revenue and Balance Funds on government expenditure and economic growth in Central Kalimantan. Economic development is a primary goal of local governments aimed at enhancing community welfare, requiring sufficient funding sourced from PAD and Balance Funds provided by the central government. Central Kalimantan, rich in natural resources, faces challenges in optimizing the utilization of these funding sources to support effective local government spending that promotes sustainable economic growth. The research employs a quantitative approach with panel data from 14 districts/municipalities over the 2010–2022 period. The findings indicate that both Local Own Revenue and Balance Funds and Balance Funds significantly affect government spending and, consequently, economic growth, highlighting the need for strategic financial management in regional governance to achieve better economic outcomes for the community

In an era of increasingly intense business competition, the quality of human resources (HR) plays an important role in determining the success of the company. This research explores the impact of HR training and development on improving employee productivity as a strategic step to create a competitive advantage. Training is designed to strengthen employees' technical capabilities, while development aims to increase their intellectual and emotional capacity to face future challenges. The research findings show that well-designed training and development programs not only improve skills, but also increase employee motivation, satisfaction and loyalty. This in turn has a positive impact on work productivity and company competitiveness. This research uses a literature study approach by reviewing various literatures to understand the relationship between training, development and productivity. The results are expected to be a reference for companies in designing sustainable HR management strategies.

This research examines the implementation of student recruitment policies at the Musthafawiyah Purba Baru Islamic Boarding School, North Sumatra, in order to improve the quality of education. As one of the largest Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia, Musthafawiyah faces the challenge of competition with other educational institutions in recruiting quality prospective students. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with data collected through interviews, observation and documentation studies. The research results show that Musthafawiyah implemented a strict selection which included academic tests, Al-Quran reading and writing tests, and motivational interviews, to attract potential students. However, this policy faces obstacles in the form of negative public perceptions and limited resources. This research recommendation includes strategies to improve the promotion process and improve facilities to strengthen the attractiveness of Islamic boarding schools. By implementing strategic recruitment policies, it is hoped that Musthafawiyah will be able to maintain the quality of education and continue to attract the interest of prospective students from various regions.

Finland's education system has been recognized globally as one of the best in the world, primarily because of the innovation it implements. This article explores various aspects of educational innovation in Finland, such as flexible curricula, student-based learning approaches, teacher autonomy, and a focus on student welfare, as well as their relevance to educational transformation in Indonesia. By comparing the two countries' education systems, this research identifies the main challenges facing Indonesia, including disparities in education quality, reliance on standardized tests, and disparities in access to education. Through critical analysis, this article proposes the application of Finnish innovation principles, such as simplifying the curriculum, strengthening teacher training, and implementing formative assessment, which are adapted to the Indonesian socio-cultural context. In addition, this article highlights the importance of equal access to educational resources to support the sustainability of reform. These findings provide strategic insight for policy makers, educators and other stakeholders in improving the quality and inclusiveness of the Indonesian education system.

This study aims to analyze the marketing strategy of PT Bank Perkreditan Rakyat (BPR) Swadaya Anak Nagari in attracting people's interest in saving money in Bandarejo Hamlet 1, West Pasaman Regency. The purpose of this research is to conduct a literature review of previous research on the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) from 2020-2024. BSC as a strategic tool management tool that is widely used by universities to improve the performance of their organizations. This research uses SLR which presents quantitative data on BSC issues and university performance. There are several measurements used, namely journals, variables, and theories as well as the field of science reaserch approach. The study results show 30 articles from accredited national journals and national journals. The topic of college performance is influenced by variables of information technology, quality assurance, financial perspective, growth learning perspective, customer perspective, and internal perspective. The theory used is BSC theory. The fields of accounting, management, public universities and private universities have researched a lot about BSC. Based on BSC measurements that are widely used are financial and customer perspectives. Although the college has successfully implemented BSC, the main challenge faced is the adjustment of key performance indicators and long-term goals of the college. This research provides insights, benefits and constraints in implementing and recommending BSC to improve organizational performance.

This study aims to determine Accounting in Ideal Conditions: Realizing Transparent and Accurate Accounting Practices. The results of the study indicate that accounting has a very important role in realizing transparency and accuracy. This study explores the strategic role of teachers in education and society and the challenges they face in integrating technology in the Industrial Revolution 4.0 era. Using a qualitative approach based on literature studies, this study analyzed four relevant articles. The findings show that teachers have a multifaceted role, including as educators, mentors, motivators, and agents of social change. Teachers are expected to be able to adapt to technological developments to create relevant learning for generation Z, such as through the implementation of the flipped classroom method and project-based learning. However, limited infrastructure and technology training are major challenges. This study emphasizes the importance of continuous training and policy support to support teacher professionalism in meeting the demands of modern education. This study also identifies the need for further research to address gaps in technology training, especially in areas with limited access..

The development of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) has a strategic role in improving community welfare, especially in rural areas. This research aims to analyze the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT) faced by coconut processing MSMEs in Gesikharjo Village, Palang District. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with MSME actors, field observations, and document analysis. The research results show that the main strengths of these MSMEs are the availability of local raw materials and community support. However, weaknesses such as technological and management limitations are still challenges. Opportunities such as increasing demand for processed coconut products in local and national markets provide bright prospects, although threats such as price competition and global market fluctuations still need to be watched out for. Research recommendations include strengthening the managerial capacity of MSME players, product innovation, and collaboration with the government and private sector to create a sustainable business ecosystem.
