Contemporary Islamic law faces complex challenges in responding to rapid social change while maintaining fidelity to authoritative religious texts. This article examines the tension and interaction between textual authority (the Quran, Sunnah, ijma’, and qiyas) and the dynamics of modern socio-cultural, political, and technological developments. Using qualitative library research, this study analyzes classical and contemporary Islamic legal thought, including maqaṣid al-shariah, ijtihad, and contextual interpretation. The findings indicate that Islamic law possesses inherent flexibility through its methodological tools, enabling adaptation without undermining its normative foundations. However, challenges arise from rigid textualism, politicization of Islamic law, and epistemological gaps between tradition and modernity. This study concludes that a balanced approach integrating textual fidelity and contextual responsiveness is essential for the relevance of Islamic law in contemporary society.

This research aims to understand the representation of cooperation between the older and younger generations and work ethic in the film "The Intern" by Nancy Meyers. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with Charles Sanders Peirce's semiotic analysis in the form of a meaning triangle, namely sign, object, and interpretant. Signs are in the form of visuals, dialogue, and symbols. The object is what the sign represents, and the interpretant is the understanding derived from both the sign and the object. In this study, the researcher carried out an analysis by selecting each scene that shows generational differences, the emergence of cooperation, and the work ethic applied in the film The Intern. We collected data through library research, which included relevant books, articles, and scientific writings. The data collection techniques used are interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of this research show that this film succeeded in presenting generational differences not as obstacles but as a way to work together well and develop. This film demonstrates work ethic values such as hard work, responsibility, honesty, and cooperation. This research concludes that the film The Intern is not only entertaining but also provides many social messages about cooperation and work ethic.

This systematic literature review examines the implementation of Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) in Indonesian senior high schools. Following PRISMA guidelines, nine studies published between 2021 and 2025 were analyzed to identify the benefits and challenges of this approach. The findings reveal that CLIL effectively enhances student engagement, motivation, and the integrated development of subject knowledge and English proficiency. However, implementation is often hindered by limited teacher readiness, insufficient collaboration between subject and language teachers, and a lack of appropriate assessment methods. Analysis using the 4Cs Framework shows that while Content and Communication are prioritized, Cognition and Culture receive less explicit attention. The study implies that successful CLIL sustainability requires continuous professional development and stronger institutional support within the Merdeka Curriculum. These results provide a strategic basis for educators and policymakers to optimize bilingual instruction in Indonesia.

This study was conducted to analyze the causes of occupational accidents and to identify potential hazards in the material cutting process at PT Kanaan Global Indonesia using the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) approach. The high number of occupational accidents, totaling 15 cases during the period of December 2024–May 2025, indicates the existence of gaps in occupational safety control in this area. Data were collected through direct observation, interviews with workers, and the collection of historical data from the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) unit. Risk analysis was carried out using a risk matrix to determine likelihood and severity values, followed by JSA for each work stage. The results identified 25 potential hazards, consisting of 4 risks in the extreme category, 9 in the high category, 7 in the medium category, and 5 in the low category. High-risk hazards were predominantly found in roll cutting and cutting press machines, which are characterized by mechanical hazards. Control recommendations focus on the implementation of engineering controls such as the installation of guarding systems and safety light curtains, improvements in safe work procedures, and increased discipline in the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). These findings demonstrate that the JSA method provides a comprehensive overview of risk sources and serves as an effective basis for formulating occupational accident control strategies within the company.

This study analyzes the cinematography strategies in determining creative visuals in the documentary film "2000 for Parking: The Phenomenon of Illegal Parking Attendants in Jatinangor," which documents the practice of illegal parking for Rp2,000-Rp5,000 in the Sumedang educational area as a social critique of the weak supervision of public spaces. Using a descriptive qualitative approach with frame-by-frame content analysis based on Joseph V. Mascelli's 5Cs theory and Bill Nichols' expository mode, the results demonstrate the dominance of eye-level angles (65%), low-key natural lighting (70%), handheld shaky camera (40%), and match cuts to build empathy, urgency, and a persuasive three-act narrative about the phenomenon of urban poverty. This visual strategy represents a power imbalance through low angles and rack focus, resulting in a 40% increase in audience awareness based on test screenings. Budget limitations are overcome through authentic improvisation that distinguishes the film from conventional Indonesian documentaries. The study concludes that cinematography is an effective visual storyteller for social advocacy, suggesting the integration of VR and AI-assisted techniques for future productions.

This research is motivated by the high rate of inability to read the Quran in Indonesia and the urgency of providing appropriate learning stimuli during the golden period of child development. The Al-Husna method was chosen because it emphasizes the principles of simplicity, ease, and tartil, which are considered relevant to the characteristics of early childhood. This study aims to assess the effectiveness of the application of the Al-Husna method in Quran learning at PAUD Tahfidzul Qur'an Yurefi Kendari using the Goal-Oriented Evaluation Model. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The evaluation results show that the application of the Al-Husna method has met the learning objectives that have been set at PAUD Tahfidzul Qur'an Yurefi. These achievements include improving students' abilities in recognizing and pronouncing hijaiyah letters with the support of visual codes, mastery of syllables of hijaiyah letters, and understanding the punctuation system using standards according to Rasm Uthmani, achieving efficiency in the use of time and materials in the learning process, and creating a fun, active, and participatory learning environment for children. This study investigates the determinants of dividend payout policy in energy sector firms listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2020–2024 period. Dividend policy is a critical issue in emerging markets, especially in capital-intensive industries with high investment needs and earnings volatility. The research examines whether profitability and ownership structure—specifically institutional and managerial ownership—significantly influence dividend payout decisions, considering firm characteristics. The study analyzes the effect of profitability, institutional ownership, and managerial ownership on the dividend payout ratio, while controlling for firm size and leverage. A quantitative approach is used, employing pooled ordinary least squares (OLS) regression on 245 firm-year observations. Dividend payout ratio is measured as dividend per share divided by earnings per share, profitability is proxied by return on equity, and ownership variables are expressed as shareholding proportions. Descriptive analysis and classical assumption tests precede hypothesis testing. The results show that profitability positively and significantly affects dividend payout, suggesting that firms with better financial performance tend to distribute higher dividends. Firm size also positively influences dividend policy, while leverage negatively impacts it, reflecting the role of financial capacity and capital structure. However, institutional and managerial ownership do not show significant effects on dividend payout decisions. The findings indicate that dividend policy in Indonesian energy firms is primarily driven by financial performance and structural characteristics rather than ownership-based governance mechanisms. This study offers sector-specific evidence that refines agency and signaling perspectives on dividend policy in emerging markets, with practical implications for managers, investors, and regulators.

In the Independent Curriculum implemented in schools starting the 2024/2025 academic year, there are Learning Outcomes (CP) that read "Students are able to modify/deconstruct literary works for creative economic purposes" and "Students are able to translate one text into another for creative economic purposes". In reality, in schools, there are still few teachers who connect literary works with economic issues, many teachers are still unfamiliar with the concept of translation, not many teachers have participated in translation training, and there is no guidebook for translating literary texts into non-literary texts or vice versa. This also applies to high school Indonesian Language teachers in Rembang Regency. Combining these two Learning Outcomes and connecting them to conditions in society, this community service conducted training on translating literary works into advertising texts for high school Indonesian Language teachers in Rembang Regency. The training was carried out with the first stage providing material on translation and advertising and the second stage providing mentoring to teachers to practice translating literary works into advertising.
