Sanitation is part of environmental health science which includes the methods and efforts of individuals or communities to control and manage the external environment which is dangerous to health and which can threaten human survival. Meanwhile, basic sanitation is the minimum sanitation required to provide a healthy environment that meets health requirements which focuses on monitoring various environmental factors that influence human health. Basic sanitation efforts include providing clean water, disposal of human waste (latrines), waste management (trash cans) and waste water disposal channels (SPAL). Through a preliminary survey conducted at the Sahabat Yatim Dormitory Orphanage and from interviews conducted by the community service team, it was discovered that several children at the Sahabat Yatim Dormitory orphanage had a fairly high history of dengue fever sufferers and there were still many conditions in the orphanage that did not meet health requirements. Thus, there is still the possibility of problems related to environmental sanitation and eradicating mosquito nests (PSN) at the Pekanbaru Orphanage Friends Dormitory orphanage. The aim of this activity is to increase the knowledge of children in orphanages about environmental sanitation and eradicating mosquito nests. This community service was carried out at the Sahabat Yatim Dormitory Orphanage on June 29 2022. The method used was health education through group counseling. School social workers have a strategic role in supporting the welfare of students in Indonesia, especially in dealing with various social, emotional, and psychological issues that can affect academic performance. As a liaison between students, families, schools, and the community, school social workers play a role in providing interventions that aim to create an inclusive, safe, and supportive learning environment. However, the implementation of this role still faces various challenges, such as the limited number of professionals, the lack of support for facilities in schools, and social stigma against the social worker profession. This condition hinders the optimization of student welfare services as a whole. This article aims to explore the role of school social workers in the context of Indonesian education, identify the challenges faced, and examine opportunities for role strengthening through holistic intervention approaches and policy support. The results of the study show that increasing the effectiveness of school social workers can be achieved through the integration of student welfare programs into the curriculum, ongoing training for social workers, and synergy between the government, schools, and local communities. Strong policy support and adequate resource allocation are decisive factors in strengthening the function of school social workers. With the right approach, school social workers have the potential to be agents of change in creating an education system that is more responsive to students' social and emotional needs, as well as encouraging the creation of a healthy and sustainable learning climate.

Adolescent identity is formed through complex interactions between various factors, in which school plays a crucial role. Schools not only serve as places of academic learning, but also as social arenas where adolescents develop interpersonal skills, values, and behavior.  Factors such as relationships with peers, support from teachers, participation in extracurricular activities, and curriculum implementation all contribute to the identity formation process. This article highlights how a positive and supportive school environment can help teenagers discover their identity, build self-confidence, and develop their potential optimally. By understanding this role, it is hoped that a holistic and inclusive educational ecosystem can be created, which supports the development of adolescents towards a healthy and constructive direction. Context has been identified as an important factor in adolescent identity formation. Education plays a very important role in shaping an individual's ethics, responsibility and intelligence. An effective educational process is expected to develop students' attitudes, knowledge and skills so that they can adapt optimally to their social environment. In this context, social interactions in the school environment, especially with peers, teachers and school staff, greatly influence the formation of adolescents' self-identity. This identity formation involves a dynamic interaction between internal and external factors, where the school environment plays a significant role in shaping teenagers' thought patterns, values, attitudes and behavior. Peers serve as social references that influence adolescents' self-confidence and self-esteem, while relationships with teachers provide emotional guidance and character formation. Apart from that, social media also influences the way teenagers present themselves in the digital world. The formation of a healthy self-identity in adolescents is very dependent on an inclusive, supportive environment, as well as cooperation between schools and parents. Therefore, it is important to understand the role of social interactions in the school environment as a factor that supports the development of a positive identity in adolescents and prepares them to face life challenges in the future.

Self-identity formation is essential to individual development and is influenced by social environments and life experiences. This study draws on Erikson's theory of psychosocial development and Bronfenbrenner's ecological theory of human development to understand how the interaction between the environment and individual experiences shapes identity formation in response to expectations and efforts. Social environments, such as family, friends, and community, provide a framework of values and norms that shape an individual’s initial identity, while personal experiences in managing expectations and efforts either reinforce or challenge this framework. The study concludes that balancing environmental support and experiential challenges enables individuals to develop a strong and flexible identity. The implications of this research highlight the importance of creating environments that support self-reflection and learning from experiences to foster healthy identity development.

Plastic is a non-organic waste that has uses, especially in daily activities. Plastic is widely used by traders to package food and others. The widespread use of plastic by the community and its indiscriminate disposal after use can lead to the accumulation of waste. The problem can be solved with the 3R strategy, namely Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. Not all locations have facilities to dispose of waste. Nowadays, landfills are a necessity, so it is necessary to provide these facilities. The solution is to make ecobrick products because they can be made easily. This research aims to increase public awareness in Pamarayan Village, Jiput Sub-district, Pandeglang Regency, Banten Province regarding ecobrick products as an invitation to care for the environment in order to create a healthy environment. The method used was the observation method and the approach was training in ecobricking. The result is that the community can understand the importance of maintaining environmental cleanliness and health through proper waste sorting, and are able to make ecobrick products in the form of trash cans from bottle waste for personal or community use.

The consumption of snacks sold outside of school environments contains a lot of sugar, such as artificial sweeteners. Environmental and social factors in schools, like unsupervised off-campus cafeterias, can influence children's food consumption patterns and oral health habits. This study aims to analyze the relationship between snack consumption and dental caries in school children. The research method used is correlation with a cross-sectional approach. A total sampling technique is applied to 80 respondents. Based on the research results, snack consumption is found to be 86.3% in the sufficient category, while 73.8% of respondents are categorized with dental caries. The Spearman rank correlation test resulted in p-value of 0.168 (p > 0.05), indicating that there is no significant relationship between snack consumption and dental caries among third and fourth-grade students. This study suggests that good oral hygiene and promoting healthy snacks should be targeted for preventing dental caries in children.

Bicycles are affordable and healthy, cause zero harm to the environment, require little space on roads and parks, and are not noisy transportation means. However, cyclists face challenges on roads, which may lead to injuries and deaths. For instance, cyclists visibility, speed management, ability to communicate with other road users, backward accidents, and ability to be located in urgent cases. This paper presents performance, tracking, and safety systems from hardware and software point of view. As a result, cyclists monitor their speed to manage; their locations are tracked, and their cycling paths are traced. Also, a rear red light and turn signal LEDs are activated without any physical action from the rider to communicate with other drivers. Moreover, a microwave radar sensor with a range of seven meters is employed to protect the cyclist from backward-approaching vehicles. Finally, three Arduino UNO boards with GPS, GSM modules, MPU-6050, and RCWL-0516 sensors are mounted on a conventional bicycle to provide safer trips.

Children as the next generation of the nation require special attention to health aspects to ensure optimal growth and development. One of the worrying health threats is the high exposure of children to cigarette smoke, which contains dangerous chemicals such as nicotine, tar, and carbon monoxide. Exposure to cigarette smoke can damage the respiratory system, interfere with brain development, and affect the function of vital organs, especially in early childhood whose body systems are still vulnerable. The impacts include an increased risk of respiratory tract infections, asthma, and various other health problems that can have long-term impacts. The role of parents is very important in efforts to prevent exposure to cigarette smoke, starting from setting an example by not smoking to creating an environment free from cigarette smoke. In addition, education about the dangers of cigarette smoke needs to be given to children from an early age to increase their awareness of the importance of maintaining health. The active role of parents in building a healthy environment and educating children about the risks of cigarette smoke is an essential step in creating a healthier generation free from exposure to cigarette smoke.
