The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of liquidity, asset efficiency, and capital structure on profitability in pharmaceutical manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, using Return on Invested Capital (ROIC) as an investment-based profitability indicator. This research employs secondary data from the annual financial statements of pharmaceutical manufacturing companies over a specific period, with multiple linear regression analysis and robust models to ensure model feasibility. The results indicate that liquidity has no effect on profitability. Asset efficiency has a significant negative effect, reflecting the characteristics of the pharmaceutical industry with its high asset intensity. Capital structure has a significant positive effect on profitability, suggesting that measured use of debt can enhance the company’s return on investment. These findings provide theoretical contributions by enriching the literature on investment-based profitability determinants and practical implications for corporate management, investors, and stakeholders in understanding internal factors that influence the financial performance of pharmaceutical companies in Indonesia.

The tomb of Ario Damar in Palembang City represents one of the important historical sites for understanding the political, social, and religious dynamics during the transitional period from the influence of the Majapahit Kingdom to the development of Islam in the South Sumatra region. The study of this site employs the historical method through the stages of heuristics, source criticism, interpretation, and historiography, using a qualitative approach. Data were collected through direct observation of the Ario Damar tomb complex and literature studies derived from scientific journals, academic articles, and relevant historiographical works. The analysis indicates that the existence of the Ario Damar tomb not only represents a physical relic of a prominent figure within the governmental structure of Palembang in the fifteenth century but also serves as material evidence reflecting the process of cultural and religious transformation in the region. The tomb site demonstrates historical connections between the political authority of Majapahit, the early development of Islam in Palembang, and the political and cultural relations between Java and Sumatra. In addition to its historical significance, the Ario Damar tomb also holds social and cultural functions as a space of collective memory for the community, which continues to be used as a site of pilgrimage and historical reflection. Therefore, the preservation of the Ario Damar tomb site is essential to maintain cultural heritage while strengthening its role as a source of local historical learning and the development of sustainable historical tourism.

The debate concerning the relationship between faith (īmān) and deeds (ʿamal) constitutes one of the central issues in the history of Islamic theology, generating diverse perspectives among theological schools. This study aims to comparatively analyze the epistemology of deeds in three classical Islamic theological traditions: Khawarij, Murji’ah, and Ahlussunnah. The research employs a qualitative approach using the integrative literature review method, examining classical works of ʿilm al-kalām alongside contemporary academic studies. The data were analyzed through data reduction, thematic categorization, and comparative analysis to identify differences in the epistemological frameworks used to understand the relationship between faith and deeds. The findings indicate that the Khawarij developed a textual–legalistic epistemology that considers deeds an essential component of faith, thereby viewing perpetrators of major sins as having exited the state of faith. In contrast, the Murji’ah developed a theological–rational epistemology that separates faith from deeds and postpones judgment regarding major sinners to God’s ultimate decision. Meanwhile, Ahlussunnah formulated an integrative epistemology that combines belief in the heart, verbal affirmation, and deeds within the structure of faith without declaring major sinners as unbelievers. This study highlights that differences in the concept of deeds in Islamic theology are not merely doctrinal but also reflect distinct epistemological frameworks in interpreting religious sources. The findings contribute conceptually to the study of ʿilm al-kalām by offering a comparative mapping of the epistemology of deeds across three major theological traditions in Islam.

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based learning media and its implications for student learning motivation in Islamic Religious Education (PAI). This study uses a systematic literature review approach by examining various reputable scientific articles discussing the integration of AI in education and the dynamics of learning motivation in the context of PAI. The results of the study indicate that the use of AI through adaptive learning systems, educational chatbots, gamification, and learning analytics can increase the effectiveness, personalization, and interactivity of learning. This implementation has a positive impact on cognitive motivation through increased conceptual understanding, affective motivation through active participation and emotional engagement, and spiritual motivation through strengthening reflection and internalization of Islamic values. However, ethical challenges, the risk of depersonalization of the teacher's role, and inequality in digital access are crucial issues that require policy attention and human-centered pedagogical design. Theoretically, this study offers an integrative conceptual framework that combines technological innovation with Islamic educational epistemology. Practically, the results of this study provide recommendations for teachers, schools, and policymakers to develop AI-based PAI learning models that are adaptive, ethical, and oriented towards character building.

The development of information technology has encouraged transformation in the administration and implementation of the judicial system in Indonesia, including within civil procedural law. The civil justice process, which has traditionally relied on manual procedures as regulated in the HIR and RBg, faces several limitations such as lengthy procedures, relatively high costs, and limited access for justice seekers. To address these challenges, the Supreme Court introduced the e-court system as part of judicial modernization through the digitalization of case administration and court proceedings. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the implementation of e-court in realizing procedural justice within civil procedural law and to examine the relationship between the classical procedural provisions contained in HIR/RBg and the newer regulations governing electronic court administration. The research employs a normative legal research method using statutory and conceptual approaches by examining legal provisions and the concept of procedural justice within the judicial system. The findings indicate that the implementation of e-court reflects a paradigm shift in civil procedural law from a formalistic system toward a more digital and administrative system that improves efficiency in case administration and accelerates dispute resolution. However, this transformation also raises questions regarding the harmonization of legal norms between the regulations governing electronic court systems and the traditional civil procedural rules. Nevertheless, the implementation of e-court has positive implications for the realization of the principles of simple, fast, and low-cost justice while also improving public access to more effective and efficient judicial services.

Code-switching has become increasingly prevalent in digital communication among Indonesian youth, reflecting complex sociolinguistic dynamics in multilingual contexts. This study investigates code-switching patterns in Indonesian digital native youth's computer-mediated communication (CMC), examining the linguistic structures, social functions, and motivations behind this phenomenon. A mixed-methods approach was employed, analyzing 2,500 social media posts from 150 Indonesian youth aged 18–25 across Instagram, Twitter, and WhatsApp. Quantitative content analysis identified code-switching frequency and patterns, while qualitative thematic analysis explored motivations and functions. Myers-Scotton's Matrix Language Frame model guided the structural analysis. Results revealed that 78.4% of participants engaged in code-switching, with Indonesian-English being the most common pattern (62.3%), followed by Indonesian-Regional Language (23.5%) and trilingual switching (14.2%). Intrasentential switching occurred in 54.7% of cases, while intersentential switching appeared in 31.8%. Five primary functions emerged: identity construction (32.1%), emphasis/intensification (26.4%), topic shifting (18.9%), humor/creativity (14.3%), and lexical gap-filling (8.3%). Code-switching in Indonesian digital communication represents a sophisticated linguistic practice driven by identity negotiation, expressive needs, and technological affordances rather than linguistic deficiency. These findings contribute to understanding multilingual CMC in Southeast Asian contexts and have implications for digital literacy education and language policy.

This study examines the local culture of Nagari Gadut as preserved through the traditions of Manjapuik Batu and Manampuang. The main issue addressed in this research is the limited written documentation and academic studies on these traditions, which are predominantly transmitted orally and are vulnerable to changes in meaning over time. The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation, cultural meanings, and social functions of Manjapuik Batu and Manampuang within the community of Nagari Gadut. This research employs a qualitative approach, with data collected through literature review, direct observation, and in-depth interviews with traditional leaders and local community members. The data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative analysis to interpret the values and meanings of the traditions from the perspective of the supporting community. The findings indicate that the Manjapuik Batu tradition functions as a customary practice related to death rituals, emphasizing values of mutual cooperation, togetherness, and adherence to adat norms. Meanwhile, the Manampuang tradition reflects social solidarity, discipline, and principles of equality through the equal distribution of sacrificial meat to all participants. The study concludes that both traditions serve not only as local cultural heritage but also as value systems that shape the social character of the Nagari Gadut community and therefore need to be documented as part of cultural preservation efforts.

This study aims to examine the factors influencing the level of sustainability report disclosure based on OJK regulations in KBMI 3 banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2023. The level of sustainability disclosure is measured using the Sustainability Report Index (SR Index), constructed through content analysis of indicators stipulated in POJK No. 51/POJK.03/2017. The independent variables analyzed in this study include firm size, profitability proxied by Return on Assets (ROA) and Return on Equity (ROE), foreign ownership, and firm age. This research employs a quantitative explanatory approach using secondary data obtained from annual reports and sustainability reports. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS. The results indicate that firm size, foreign ownership, and firm age have a positive and significant effect on the level of sustainability report disclosure. Conversely, profitability measured by ROA and ROE does not have a significant effect. Simultaneously, all independent variables significantly influence sustainability report disclosure. These findings suggest that structural and ownership characteristics play a more dominant role in determining sustainability disclosure than financial performance, reflecting the regulator-driven nature of sustainability reporting in the Indonesian banking sector.

From the perspective of criminal liability theory, criminal policy, and Islamic law, sexual gratification is a form of corruption. According to positive criminal law, a person can only be held liable when three essential elements are fulfilled: an unlawful act, culpability (dolus or culpa), and the capacity for responsibility. However, in the context of public office, sexual gratification constitutes an unlawful act because it involves the acceptance of non-fina. Since the acceptance of sexual services within a power relationship usually indicates awareness of reciprocal policy gains, purpose (dolus) is frequently dominating. From the perspective of criminal policy, the restriction of sexual gratification reflects the growth of corruption as a white collar crime—a term coined by Edwin H. Sutherland—where abuse of power encompasses intangible rewards in addition to monetary transfers. According to Islamic law, sexual enjoyment constitutes two violations: it may be considered risywah (bribery) because of its transactional motive, and it may also be considered jarimah zina if it takes place outside of a legally recognized marriage. Such behaviors compromise the protection of property, ancestry, and religion through the framework of maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah developed by Abu Ishaq al-Shatibi in Al-Muwafaqat. The study comes to the conclusion that in order to guarantee accountability, protect public integrity, and promote social welfare, it is imperative to develop legal interpretation and evidential procedures.

Sexual violence against children in Jambi City continues to show a fluctuating trend, with 32 cases in 2022, decreasing to 24 in 2023, and increasing again to 33 in 2024. This condition emphasizes the importance of strengthening cross-sector case handling between the UPTD PPA Jambi City and the Jambi Police in cases of sexual violence against children. This study aims to analyze the division of labor between the two institutions using the coordination theory according to Hasibuan (2006), which includes indicators of unity of action, communication, division of labor, and discipline. The method used is a qualitative approach through in-depth interviews, documentation, and data triangulation to ensure the validity of the findings. The results show that coordination between the UPTD PPA Jambi City and the Jambi Police has generally been running well, especially in the aspects of unity of action and discipline, as reflected in the alignment of goals and a fairly rapid response in handling cases. Communication between the two agencies has also been ongoing through formal and informal channels to expedite case response. The division of labor has been aligned with each agency's respective authority, with the UPTD PPA focusing on victim assistance and psychological support, while the police handle law enforcement. However, the lack of formal SOPs and MoUs poses a barrier to strengthening sustainable institutional integration. The implications of this research emphasize the need to strengthen formal mechanisms, regular evaluation forums, and formal cooperation agreements to enhance effective coordination and comprehensive protection for child victims.

The phenomenon of digital da'wah has significantly transformed the ways religious knowledge is accessed, interpreted, and disseminated in contemporary society. This study aims to analyze the patterns of actions and perceptions of TikTok and YouTube users toward religious content delivered by Gus Baha within the context of the digital religious space. Using Max Weber’s theory of rationalization as an analytical framework, this research explores how religious authority, knowledge transmission, and user interpretation undergo processes of rationalization on digital platforms. This study employs a qualitative approach using virtual ethnography, content analysis, and in-depth interviews with users of both platforms. Data were collected through observation of uploaded content, analysis of user interactions and comments, and examination of engagement dynamics. The findings indicate that user responses to Gus Baha’s content reflect Weber’s four types of social action. Instrumentally rational actions are evident in the use of short videos as practical and efficient learning tools. Value-oriented rational actions appear in users’ consistent efforts to deepen religious understanding. Affective actions emerge from emotional attachment to Gus Baha’s communicative style, while traditional actions are reflected in the perception of digital da'wah as a continuation of established religious learning traditions. Furthermore, digital rationalization through algorithms, short-video formats, and platform accessibility, shapes how religious knowledge is selected, interpreted, and circulated. This study concludes that digital religious spaces function not only as channels of dissemination but also as arenas for the transformation of religious authority, meaning construction, and religious practice in the digital era.

This study examines the implementation of Papua Special Autonomy in the context of the relocation policy affecting indigenous betel nut vendor women in Sorong City, using an interpretative perspective. The research focuses on how betel nut women vendors understand and experience the relocation policy as indigenous actors directly affected by public policy. The objective of this study is to explore the meanings, experiences, and interpretations constructed by these women in relation to relocation policies under the framework of Papua Special Autonomy.  This research employs a qualitative method with an interpretative approach, utilising in-depth interviews, field observations, and document analysis. The findings reveal that the relocation policy has not fully reflected the core principles of Special Autonomy, particularly in protecting, empowering, and recognising the rights of indigenous Papuans. The women vendors interpret relocation not merely as an urban spatial arrangement, but as a restriction on their economic space and socio-cultural identity.  This study contributes theoretically by enriching the discourse on Special Autonomy from the perspective of local actors, and practically by offering policy recommendations for more inclusive, participatory, and culturally sensitive relocation policies in Papua.

This study analyzes the juridical issues related to the implementation of criminal sanctions below the statutory minimum, as reflected in Cassation Decision Number 7853/K/Pid.Sus/2024. The focus of this research centers on the tension between the rigid provisions of Article 111 paragraph (1) of Law No. 35 of 2009 concerning narcotics and the reality of judicial practice, which often deviates from these provisions. This phenomenon raises debates regarding the extent to which the principle of legality can be compromised in pursuit of justice without undermining the pillar of legal certainty within Indonesia’s criminal justice system. Using a normative legal research method with a statutory and case study approach, this study qualitatively analyzes judges’ considerations. The findings indicate that, although the policy of imposing sentences below the minimum carries the risk of creating legal uncertainty, the Supreme Court in this case reinterpreted the principle of legality. Judges tend to prioritize proportionality and substantive justice to avoid purely mechanical punishment. The study concludes that, while judicial discretion represents a concrete expression of judicial independence, such practice requires clearer normative parameters. Without explicit regulation, deviations from the statutory minimum risk widening disparities in judicial decisions. Therefore, standardized sentencing guidelines are necessary to preserve legal integrity while maintaining a sense of justice for defendants.
