This study aims to redesign the raw material yarn warehouse layout at PT. XYZ using the Class Based Storage method to improve storage and retrieval efficiency. The main problem identified in the warehouse is random item placement, resulting in relatively long retrieval times of approximately 10–15 minutes per pallet. This research applies a descriptive quantitative approach using a case study method. The data used consists of inbound, outbound, and inventory records of yarn raw materials from November 2024 to April 2025. The analysis was conducted using the FSN (Fast Moving, Slow Moving, and Non-Moving) method through the calculation of consumption rate and average stay, combined with ABC classification to determine storage priority. The results show that 9 types of yarn are classified as Class A, 11 types as Class B, and 11 types as Class C. Based on this classification, a new warehouse layout was designed by placing Class A items near the input-output area, Class B items in the middle area, and Class C items in the back area of the warehouse, thereby improving storage efficiency and reducing retrieval time.

Starfruit (Averrhoa bilimbi L.), commonly known in Indonesia as belimbing wuluh, is widely used as a natural acid in traditional cuisine. It is often processed into dried sour starfruit (asam sunti), which can last 1–1.5 years. However, traditional sun-drying methods are inefficient due to weather dependency, long processing times, and inconsistent product quality and color. This study aims to design and develop a tunnel-type starfruit dryer equipped with a blower system and heat control based on the Arduino Mega 2560. The research employs a quantitative method to evaluate tool performance. The dryer is cylindrical and supported by key components, including LPG gas as a heat source, a blower for air circulation, and a drum holder. Drying is conducted in six stages, each lasting 120 minutes, totaling 12 hours to achieve optimal dryness. Temperature monitoring at three points (T1, T2, T3) uses a MAX6675 sensor with a thermocouple connected to the Arduino Mega 2560, while weight measurement is done manually. Results indicate the tool functions effectively. A denser drying chamber and proper blower installation are recommended to ensure even heat distribution and improved drying efficiency for community use.

Wounds can be defined as the loss and damage of anatomical cells or skin function. Wound healing consists of coagulation, inflammation, proliferation, and remodeling stages. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the leaf fraction of the thick (Glochidion superbum) on wound healing in male white mice (Mus musculus). This study is experimental. This study used 24 male mice that were given a 10 mm long cut wound. Fractionation was carried out using the liquid-liquid extraction method. Fractionation used 3 different types of solvents, namely methanol, ethyl acetate, and n-hexane. The results showed that the ethyl acetate fraction had a faster wound healing effectiveness than the other groups. The ethyl acetate fraction contains a phenolic compound, namely methyl gallate. Methyl gallate has an important role in wound healing. Methyl gallate has the potential to be an antibacterial, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory. The results of the Bonferroni post-hoc statistical analysis confirmed the effectiveness of the ethyl acetate fraction in faster wound healing. The thick leaf fraction was effective in healing incisions in male white mice. The ethyl acetate fraction was more effective in accelerating incision healing.

This study is motivated by the importance of politeness strategies in film discourse as a reflection of social interaction and cultural values. It aims to identify the types of politeness strategies used in the film Dilan 1990 and to determine the most dominant strategy along with its contextual use in interpersonal interactions, based on Brown and Levinson’s framework. Employing a descriptive qualitative method, the data consist of 40 utterances containing potential face-threatening acts. The data were analyzed through identification, classification, and interpretation according to four politeness strategies: Bald on Record, Positive Politeness, Negative Politeness, and Off-Record. The findings reveal that all four strategies appear in the film dialogues, with Positive Politeness as the dominant strategy, indicating closeness, humor, and social solidarity, particularly between the main characters, Dilan and Milea. Bald on Record is mainly used in instructional and hierarchical relationships, while Negative Politeness and Off-Record occur in more sensitive situations or when indirect meanings are intended. These results imply that Dilan 1990 represents politeness values within Indonesia’s collectivistic culture, especially in youth communication that emphasizes harmony and social cohesion.

This study analyzes the similarities and differences between Japanese and Indonesian compound words, with particular attention to their structural patterns and semantic characteristics. The data were collected from official news websites in Japan and Indonesia, including Asahi Shinbun and Kompas, through observation and note-taking techniques. The collected data were analyzed through the distributional method, and the contrastive analysis was conducted based on morphological theories proposed by Chaer (2015), Katamba (2018), and Kageyama (2016). The findings reveal that ten Japanese and Indonesian compound words share equivalent meanings. From a structural perspective, both languages exhibit various types of compound formations, including noun, adjective, and verb compounds. A notable structural difference is that Japanese compound words may undergo a phonological process known as rendaku. From a semantic perspective, compound words in both languages may be categorized as endocentric and exocentric. However, some compounds do not share the same idiomatic meanings, even though they are constructed from identical lexemes in each language.

Hypertension is a major modifiable risk factor contributing to the development of Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS), which includes STEMI, NSTEMI, and unstable angina. The increasing prevalence of hypertension worldwide raises concern regarding its impact on cardiovascular outcomes. This study aimed to describe the profile of ACS patients with hypertension receiving angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors (ACEIs) or angiotensin receptor blockers (ARBs) therapy in the Intensive Coronary Care Unit (ICCU) of RSUD Dr. Soetomo Surabaya. Using a descriptive cross-sectional method, data from 91 patients treated between July 2021 and October 2024 were analyzed. Variables included demographic characteristics, clinical classification of ACS, hypertension degree, comorbidities, types and doses of ACEI/ARB administered. The results showed that most patients were male (73%) and aged over 65 years (40%). Chi-square analysis revealed no significant relationship between hypertension degree, ACS classification, or most comorbidities with drug selection or dosage (p>0.05), except for a significant association between coronary heart disease comorbidity and ARB selection. These findings suggest that in hypertensive ACS patients, the choice between ACEI and ARB therapy is predominantly based on individual comorbidity profiles rather than blood pressure severity or ACS type. The study highlights the importance of personalized treatment approaches considering patient comorbidities to optimize cardiovascular outcomes.

Type 2 diabetes mellitus in the elderly significantly impacts quality of life (QoL) due to physiological changes in aging, comorbidities, and the risk of chronic complications. Nutritional management is considered a key intervention to improve glycemic control and functional status in the elderly. Objective: To review the current evidence regarding the effect of nutritional interventions on the quality of life in elderly with type 2 diabetes mellitus through a Literature Review approach. Methods: The Literature Review was conducted by identifying articles from the Scopus database published in 2020–2025. The review process included screening based on inclusion-exclusion criteria, eligibility assessment, and narrative synthesis of relevant studies, including controlled trials,quasi-experimental studies, observational studies, and systematic observations. Results: From the selected studies, interventions with a low glycemic index diet and a balanced diet have been shown to reduce HbA1c levels and the risk of complications; a multicomponent program combining diet and exercise produces synergistic effects on glucose control, physical function, and quality of life.Structured nutrition education (DSME) and family involvement improve satisfaction and metabolic outcomes. The use of technology (mobile apps) shows potential in monitoring intake and glucose, although digital literacy challenges and limited sample size and study design are often limitations. Conclusion: Targeted nutrition interventions, especially when combined with exercise, education, family support, and age-friendly technology, have the potential to improve metabolic control and quality of life in older adults with T2DM.Recommendation: Large-scale RCTs and more robust longitudinal studies are needed to establish the long-term effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of multicomponent nutrition interventions and technology adaptations for older adults with multimorbidity.
