The second coming of Christ is an event inalienable to mankind. In addition to declaring punishment for unbelievers, His second coming also fulfills the presence of a new heaven and earth in which the righteous will reign with Christ forever. Of this, the Bible records that "the heavens shall vanish with a great rumbling, and the elements of the world shall burn in the flames, and the earth and all that is therein shall pass away." But on the other hand, the view of restoration clearly teaches that the old heavens and the earth will not be totally destroyed, but renewed. Thus the problem arises: how could both of these things - the biblical concept of the new earth and the doctrine of restoration - be a harmonious truth? This paper seeks to explain and discuss the problematic teaching of the restoration in relation to the concept of the new earth. Through this paper the author hopes to elaborate the problematic of this topic clearly, especially regarding the alleged contradictions that exist. In addition, critical analysis is conducted to produce responsible solutions that contribute significantly to the study of eschatology, in which the authors believe that the teaching of restoration and the concept of the new earth is a harmonious and biblical truth.

The main material for writing this article comes from the routine recitation of Ngaji Filsafat held at the Jendral Sudirman Mosque in Yogyakarta on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 with Dr. Fahruddin Faiz, M.Ag. The purpose of writing this article is to find out the extent of the relationship between religion and science.  The relationship between religion and science is a complementary relationship. How science can only detect things that are visible to the eye, realistic, musyahadah. Meanwhile, religion, in addition to being able to detect things that are musyahadah, is also able to know the reality of the unseen. In this life, humans cannot be separated from these two things. So that's when humans don't just feel enough with science, humans need religion too. Vice versa, when humans only rely on the supernatural, humans will find it difficult to overcome the problems that occur in everyday life. As was the case in 2019 when a pandemic occurred. Then science played an important role at that time. Although not a few of the religionists who “surrender” to God's destiny. Religion and science are both fitrah, a very basic/basaliy soul urge. If there is a difference between religion and science it is because the footing is different. A scientist is open, will seek and search for new theories according to need. While religion has crowned itself as the absolute/final truth. It needs to be said that science and religion are both interpretations. Science interprets real phenomena, the reality of the universe, while religion interprets God's verses, religious texts. From this, science and religion can complement each other and there is a meeting point.

Talking about the second coming of the Lord Jesus (eschatology) is one of the foundations of the Christian faith, so this needs to be known, taught and believed by every person of God. However, because there are many interpretations regarding the second coming of the Lord Jesus, correct and appropriate study is needed according to God's word.  Lack of understanding regarding the second coming of the Lord Jesus can lead to distorted interpretations that even contradict the truth of God's word itself. There are quite a few errors in the interpretation of the second coming of the Lord Jesus. On the contrary, it causes anxiety, fear, doubt, confusion, and even misdirection. This means that it is very important for us to know more about eschatology, to provide a better and correct understanding in waiting for the second coming of the Lord Jesus. At that time, if we have understood it in a paradigm shift that previously had a frightening perspective, but on the contrary, we are waiting for it with full confidence, a higher level of faith in God and even waiting for it with joy, because He is the one who picks up His people, He is the one who all this time in the world we worship, and also only to Him can we immortalize ourselves completely. Death is human nature and the end of human existence in life. Death is indeed the end of human existence, but humans as physical and spiritual creatures are not completely eliminated by death. The soul/spirit as the spiritual element of humans does not disappear along with the body. The soul is the identity of each human person who reveals the history of his life to God. The human soul will later become a means for God in the process of resurrecting humans. Death is not only something that ends human existence in life, but is also a time when humans perfect/complete the history of their life freely. A life history that shows identity, character, personality, and all the stories that have been experienced that show who he is authentically and finally, without being able to change again. The term human being as both a physical and spiritual creature indicates the unity of the two substances or elements that make up a human being, namely body and soul. This unity, apart from showing the integrity and equality of God's creations, also shows the specialness of humans from other creations. The unity between body and soul as the element that makes humans exist is able to explain the event of the resurrection of the dead which is believed by Christians.

This study explores the theme of rekindling the hunger for the truth of God's word in contemporary contexts, drawing from the prophecy of Amos 8:11-14. The passage highlights a period when people will experience a profound spiritual famine, not of physical sustenance, but of hearing the words of the Lord. Historically, this famine signified a divine judgment on the people of Israel for their moral and spiritual deviations despite their material prosperity. In today's context, this spiritual hunger remains relevant as modern society grapples with materialism, technological advancements, and a subsequent spiritual void. Many individuals seek meaning and direction but often fail to find lasting fulfillment. This paper emphasizes the enduring need for God's word as a source of truth, guidance, and comfort. Key aspects include, Spiritual Hunger The persistent spiritual emptiness experienced by many, underscoring the necessity of God's word for true satisfaction. Role of the Church,The importance of churches and Christian communities in teaching and disseminating God's word effectively to meet contemporary spiritual needs. Utilizing Media and Technology, Leveraging digital platforms to spread biblical teachings and reach a broader audience in the digital age. Individual Responsibility, Encouraging personal engagement with Scripture to foster a deeper relationship with God and to serve as living testimonies to others. The study concludes that rekindling the hunger for God's word is crucial in addressing the spiritual needs of today's society, offering a timeless guide and a source of hope for those seeking truth. This calls for a collective effort by individuals and faith communities to prioritize and propagate the transformative power of God's word in a world often devoid of spiritual direction.

This journal discusses the Christian faith response to the growing phenomenon of religious pluralism in the contemporary era. Religious pluralism portrays the diversity of religious beliefs in the modern world, presenting new challenges for Christians in articulating and upholding their faith. In this context, the author identifies three common approaches used in responding to religious pluralism. First, the exclusive approach emphasizes that only one religion is true and valid, while other religions are considered false or invalid. Second, the inclusive approach acknowledges relative truth in each religion, appreciating and recognizing the contributions of each religious tradition. Third, the pluralistic approach regards all religions as valid ways to know and reach God, without claiming superiority of one religion over others. Within the context of Christian faith, the author explores relevant theological views and biblical perspectives in responding to religious pluralism. Some Christian theologians assert the exclusivity of Christ, the belief that salvation can only be found through Jesus Christ. However, there are also Christian theologians who propose inclusive and pluralistic views, stating that Christian faith can coexist with an appreciation of truth in other religions. The author concludes that the Christian faith response to religious pluralism can vary depending on individual theological perspectives and cultural contexts. However, it is important to carefully investigate the foundations of Christian faith and integrate theological views with an inclusive and respectful attitude towards other religions. Keywords: Christian faith, religious pluralism, exclusive approach, inclusive approach, pluralistic approach.

Judgment is the process of assessing a person's wrongdoing and determining an appropriate punishment, both in worldly and spiritual contexts. In Christianity, the Day of Judgment is when God fully reveals the truth and gives the final verdict on each individual's fate based on their deeds. The Book of Amos, written around the 750s BC by the prophet Amos, warns Israel that the "Day of the Lord," which they anticipated as a day of victory, would actually be a day of darkness and judgment because of their sins. This study examines the relevance of the teachings about the Day of Judgment in the Book of Amos (Amos 5:18-20) to contemporary Christian life. Amos' message emphasizes the importance of living righteously, avoiding sin, and treating others with justice and love. These teachings serve as a guide for Christians to live meaningful and responsible lives before God and others

The Book of Job is a work of sacred Hebrew literature that highlights the theme of inappropriate suffering. In prose narratives and poetic debates, Job attempts to understand the suffering that befell him. This article explains how Job reacts to the tests given by God, as well as the concept of God's Theology of Justice which is reflected in the dialogue between Job and God. God's justice shown to Job illustrates His authority as a just God, as well as the close relationship between truth and justice in directing humans on the right path. The implementation of the Theology of God's Justice in human suffering today emphasizes the importance of awareness of God's will and obedience to Him, as well as strengthening an intimate relationship with God in every life situation. This article discusses the role of social media in catechesis to build faith in the digital age. The digital age has brought about major changes in the way we communicate and access information. Social media, as a product of the digital technology revolution, has become a highly efficient and effective means of communication, connecting individuals around the world quickly and easily. The Catholic Church views social media as an important tool for evangelization, faith formation, and spreading the values of love and truth. Digital catechesis is a very effective tool in educating and deepening the faith of the people, creating a lively and dynamic atmosphere of faith. The church has an important role in guiding its people to integrate their faith in digital life, making technology a tool to strengthen faith and Christian values. This article provides some suggestions for the effective use of social media in catechesis, such as the development of innovative catechesis programs, digital education for parishioners, collaboration with communities and technologists, and evaluation of the impact of social media use. In this strategy, the Church can utilize social media to strengthen the faith of the people and create a more faithful and dignified community in the digital age.

Apart from being regulated by Islamic law, in Indonesia marriage is also regulated by the state, as is the registration of marriages which is regulated by article 2 of Law No. 1 of 1974 concerning marriage. These regulations were not made without reason, but these regulations were made to ensure orderly marriages for the Islamic community in Indonesia. The practice of unregistered marriages is based on different reasons, whether due to economic factors, not wanting to have difficulties with marriage administration, and so on. The research method used in this work is normative legal research or what can also be called literature study with various data sources which are then analyzed in depth and presented descriptively. Until we reach a simple conclusion that according to positive state law, a wife is not considered a legal wife, because there is no authentic evidence, because in the Compilation of Islamic Law the truth about the existence of a marriage can only be proven by the existence of a "marriage certificate" made by a Marriage Registrar.
