Limited land in the urban area of Jayapura Regency is a major challenge in the provision of Green Open Space (RTH), even though the existence of RTH is very important to maintain ecological balance and the quality of the community's living environment. In this context, the Dosay Public Cemetery (TPU) has great potential to be optimized as an alternative green space that is multifunctional-ecological, social, and aesthetic. This study aims to assess community perceptions of the utilization of TPU Dosay as a green space, as well as to formulate a strategy for its sustainable development. The approach used was mixed methods, with data collection through a survey using a Likert scale to 35 respondents, open interviews with 9 key informants, as well as SWOT and AHP analysis. The results showed that most people support the development of TPU Dosay as a reflective green space that is comfortable and ecologically valuable. From the results of AHP analysis, policy and regulation aspects are the top priorities in the development strategy, followed by vegetation and accessibility aspects. Strategic recommendations include the preparation of adaptive vegetation zoning, strengthening the local policy framework, active involvement of indigenous communities, and cross-sector collaboration between local governments, academics and the private sector. With the right strategy, the development of TPU Dosay is expected to be an innovative solution in overcoming the shortage of green spaces in Jayapura Regency.

This study diagnoses obstacles to transitioning to a circular economy in Iraq and analyzes opportunities for sustainable economic development. It employs a comprehensive descriptive analysis of economic, social, and environmental data related to the circular economy in Iraq. The findings reveal a decline in per capita economic growth in Iraq, dropping from 10.8% in 2016 to 4.3% in 2022, with some years experiencing negative growth. This decline stems from the economy's heavy reliance on the oil sector, which accounts for 61.1% of GDP, and insufficient infrastructure for clean production models and resource recycling. The study recommends effective government strategies to diversify away from oil dependence by developing sustainable agriculture, green industries, and eco-tourism. It stresses the need to invest in waste recycling and renewable energy projects and to offer tax incentives for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Additionally, it concludes that collaboration with developed countries and international organizations could accelerate Iraq's transition to a circular economy, enhancing economic sustainability and improving living standards.

This study uses a qualitative method to analyze the impact of green fiscal policy on sustainable investment in Indonesia from a public economics perspective. The focus of this research is on how fiscal instruments such as tax incentives, environmentally friendly subsidies, and government spending are directed to support economic growth while preserving environmental sustainability. In the context of Indonesia, which is facing challenges such as climate change and natural resource degradation, green fiscal policy has become a crucial strategy for achieving sustainable development. The study finds that well-implemented green fiscal policies can encourage investment in sustainable sectors such as renewable energy, eco-friendly agriculture, and green transportation. However, the success of these policies is highly dependent on inter-institutional synergy, data-based fiscal planning, and consistent regulatory support. The findings of this study are expected to contribute to the strengthening of Indonesia’s green fiscal policy design, which can better promote environmental protection and positively impact the long-term economy. Therefore, strong government commitment is required to position fiscal policy as a primary instrument in the transition toward a green economy.

Rock mining is a key sector contributing to economic development, including in Gorontalo Regency. However, this activity often generates negative environmental impacts such as erosion, water pollution, and ecosystem degradation. This study aims to analyze environmental management policies in rock mining activities using a literature review approach. The research was conducted by examining relevant literature published in the last five years, including national and regional regulations, as well as case study reports. The findings reveal that Indonesia has established a comprehensive regulatory framework through Law No. 32 of 2009 and Government Regulation No. 22 of 2021, which mandate Environmental Impact Assessment (AMDAL) as a key instrument for environmental protection. At the regional level, Gorontalo Provincial Regulation No. 2 of 2019 serves as the main guideline; however, its implementation faces challenges such as weak oversight and inadequate law enforcement. A case study in Motoduto Village shows actual environmental impacts in the form of erosion and sediment load increases in the Paguyaman River, although still within acceptable limits. Additionally, some companies operate without proper AMDAL or legal permits. Therefore, strengthening institutional capacity, digitizing permit data, and engaging communities are essential steps. Policy recommendations include consistent law enforcement, implementation of post-mining reclamation, and integration of spatial data-based policies. This study underscores the importance of a holistic approach to ensure a balance between the economic benefits of the mining sector and environmental conservation.

The Perintis Lake area in Bone Bolango Regency, Gorontalo Province, faces a growing conflict between tourism investment and environmental conservation. This study aims to analyze the impact of tourism infrastructure development on the lake’s ecosystem, highlight the importance of conservation, and provide strategic recommendations for sustainable tourism development. Using a qualitative-descriptive approach, the research is based on field observations, literature review, and regional policy analysis. Findings show that unregulated investment activities, particularly constructions along the lake's buffer zone, have led to environmental degradation, such as water pollution, habitat loss, and ecological imbalance. Conservation efforts remain fragmented and lack integration into broader development planning. The study recommends the implementation of sustainable spatial planning policies, stricter environmental regulations, and active community involvement. Collaborative governance between local authorities, private investors, and environmental stakeholders is essential to ensure that economic development aligns with ecological preservation. Striking a balance between investment and conservation is key to maintaining Perintis Lake as a resilient ecotourism destination for future generations.

The Tigray conflict and the Ethiopian Government in 2020-2022 were mainly motivated by dissatisfaction with the policies of Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed. TPLF as a representative party of the Tigray ethnic group attacked the government until it received a counterattack that further prolonged the conflict situation. The conflict then sparked international attention, including China. China played a role in bridging the conflict resolution indirectly. This study aims to review the efforts made by China in helping to bridge the conflict resolution. The method used uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The study found that China fully used a quasi-mediation diplomacy strategy in an effort to resolve the conflict. China's efforts are reflected through personal identity and the results of the interactions that were established. China promotes the principle of non-intervention and regional resolution, even providing humanitarian assistance and sustainable development. China is not directly involved in maintaining national interests, both materially and socially, in the form of applicable relations and norms.

The concept of sustainable development, despite its increasing frequency in international law literature, is too vague to be clearly defined and implemented. The concept of sustainable development appears in various documents withdifferent, even competing, themes and scopes. Rather than being a simultaneous manifestation of three dimensions: economic, social, and environmental, it is essentially an economic and environmental concept, and economic development is the primary priority for all countries, both developed and developing. By failing to fulfill their obligations to developing countries, developed countries have created an atmosphere of mistrust in establishing global sustainable development platforms. Overall, it appears that although the concept and idea of sustainable development have gained widespread acceptance in international legal literature, and significant efforts have been made to assess the achievement of sustainable development, the unity of the three areas of economic development, social development, and environmental protection still faces challenges. There is a significant gap regarding the theoretical and practical position of sustainable development on the international stage and within the framework of international development law. The importance of this research lies in analyzing the constitutional protection of the right to sustainable development in the Iraqi Constitution and its compatibility with international standards. It also examines the legal and practical challenges facing Iraq, Egypt, and Jordan in implementing this right on the ground, and reviews the role of 2 governmental institutions and civil society in promoting and protecting the right to sustainable development.

Land law politics in Indonesia plays a crucial role in realizing social justice and sustainable development through fair and sustainable management of agrarian resources. The primary legal foundation governing land matters is Law No. 5 of 1960 on Basic Agrarian Principles (UU Pokok Agraria), which asserts that all land, water, and air spaces are controlled by the state and utilized to the greatest extent for the welfare of the people. However, the implementation of land law politics faces significant challenges, including disparities in land distribution, agrarian conflicts, and misalignment between central and regional policies. Policy changes, such as the introduction of Land Management Rights and Land Banks through the Omnibus Law, add complexity and raise questions about their alignment with UU Pokok Agraria's fundamental principles. Resolving land disputes also becomes a critical issue, necessitating effective and inclusive legal mechanisms. Therefore, comprehensive reform in land law politics is required, encompassing regulatory harmonization, consistent law enforcement, and active public participation, to ensure fair and sustainable land management for the welfare of the people.

Islamic Micro Finance (IMF) has an important role in supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Indonesia by providing inclusive financial access based on sharia. This study aims to analyze how the IMF contributes to poverty alleviation (SDG 1), increasing financial inclusion (SDG 9), reducing economic inequality (SDG 10), promoting sustainable economic growth (SDG 8) and improving financial education and awareness (SDG 4). The research method used is a qualitative descriptive approach with literature analysis and case studies from several sharia microfinance institutions in Indonesia. The research results show that the IMF through instruments such as qardhul hasan, mudharabah, musyarakah, and ZISWAF is able to provide financial solutions for poor community groups and micro businesses. In addition, the digitalization of sharia financial services further increases the IMF's reach in supporting financial inclusion. However, there are challenges that still need to be overcome, such as limited capital, low sharia financial literacy, and regulations that are not yet optimal. Therefore, strengthening regulations, sharia financial education and Islamic financial technology innovation are key strategies for optimizing the IMF's role in achieving the SDGs in Indonesia. This study provides an original contribution by highlighting the strategic role of Islamic Micro Finance in achieving SDGs in Indonesia through a sharia-based approach. The added value of this study lies in the integration between Islamic financial instruments and sustainable development goals, as well as the importance of digital innovation and financial education in the local context.
