This article discusses the transformation of the meaning of the altar from Hebrew tradition to modern spiritual life, highlighting the important role of the altar as a symbol of the relationship between humans and God. In Hebrew tradition, the altar serves as a physical altar for offering sacrifices, reflecting the sacrifice, purification, and spiritual commitment of the people of Israel. However, as time has progressed, the meaning of the altar has evolved into a deeper symbol that encompasses spiritual and emotional aspects. In a modern context, the altar is interpreted as a symbol of the human heart, a place where worship and devotion to God are performed wholeheartedly. This article also explores the application of altar values, such as devotion, humility, and service, in everyday life. Additionally, the concept of the altar is connected to universal interpretations that are relevant to various spiritual traditions. The method used in this research is a qualitative method with a literature study approach, involving the collection and analysis of literature and biblical verses related to the altar. Thus, this article aims to provide a deep understanding of the essence of the altar as a spiritual element that remains relevant, universal, and applicable in daily life, while inviting readers to reflect on the application of the altar concept in their lives.

The process of Islamization in Sulawesi is an important part of the cultural and religious history of the region. Islamization not only played a role in religious change, but also involved acculturation through strong oral traditions among local communities, such as the Bugis, Makassar, and Mandar. Oral traditions including poetry, fables, proverbs, and traditional rituals were used as the main media for spreading Islamic teachings. With the arrival of Islam in the 15th and 16th centuries, Islamic values were combined with local customs such as siri’ and pangadereng. The role of the nobility and ulama was very important in spreading Islamic teachings through familiar cultural narratives. In addition, traditional performing arts such as kacapi and pakarena became a means of spreading Islamic values in a form that was easily accepted by the community. This article highlights how oral traditions played a role as a tool for Islamization in Sulawesi, as well as the challenges faced in maintaining these traditions in the modern era.

This article explores the meaning of millennials in Revelation 20:1–6 through the lens of amillennialism within the framework of Reformed theology. The millennium—the thousand-year period of Christ's reign—is a central issue in Christian eschatological discussions, giving rise to three main views: premillennialism, postmillennialism, and amillennialism. Using historical-theological hermeneutics as well as the study of literature, this paper examines the symbolic meaning of the book of Revelation and how it has been interpreted throughout the history of the church. The amillennial approach interprets that Christ has reigned spiritually since His resurrection through His presence in the church, and that the millennium is not a literal period in the future, but rather describes the present era of the church. This understanding rejects the view of a literal thousand-year kingdom and focuses on Christ's ongoing work on the world. Therefore, the proper interpretation of millennials influences.

This study aims to analyze the ibdal rule in Arabic word derivation with an integrative approach between traditional methods and modern linguistics. The ibdal rule, namely the change of one letter into another letter in a word, has long been a concern in classical Arabic studies. The traditional approach views ibdal as part of an effort to maintain the purity and beauty of the Arabic language, based on oral history, analysis of ancient poetry, and readings of the Qur'an. Meanwhile, modern linguistics views ibdal as a rational phonological phenomenon, occurring due to phonetic considerations, ease of articulation, and social dynamics. Through an integrative study, this study found that a comprehensive understanding of ibdal can only be achieved by combining an appreciation of classical Arabic heritage with scientific analysis based on modern phonology and morphology. The results of this study indicate that ibdal is not only linguistic, but also reflects the vitality of the Arabic language in responding to changes in the times. The integration of these two approaches also has an impact on the development of curriculum, teaching methods, and the expansion of Arabic language research space towards a more interdisciplinary direction. This study emphasizes the importance of building a scientific attitude that respects tradition while being open to renewal in Arabic studies. Thus, it is hoped that this research can be a significant contribution to the development of Arabic linguistic studies in a contemporary academic context.

This community service activity aims to increase the motivation, confidence, and love of male students for traditional Acehnese art, particularly the Likok Pulo dance. This dance is characterized by its energetic and rhythmic nature, making it suitable as a dance teaching material for male students who have previously shown little interest in participating in dance activities. The methods used include demonstrations and peer tutoring, covering training in various dance movements, mastering the lyrics, and accompanying music with the rapa’i instrument. The training was conducted over three days from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The dancers involved were specifically male students who had previously shown little interest in dance practice. The results of the activity showed that male students were highly enthusiastic, as evidenced by their ability to master movement variations, sing lyrics, and play musical accompaniment in a short period of time, despite having never participated in dance extracurricular activities before. This activity demonstrated that selecting appropriate dance material can change students' negative perceptions of dance and serve as a medium for preserving local culture through formal education.
