The drainage system is critical infrastructure for managing stormwater runoff in densely built urban areas, including higher education institutions. This study aims to evaluate the capacity performance of the existing drainage channels in the UPN "Veteran" Jawa Timur campus area. The evaluation was conducted through two main stages: hydrological analysis using the rational method to estimate the design runoff discharge for a 10-year return period, and hydraulic analysis using Manning's equation to calculate the channel cross-sectional capacity in accordance with Permen PU No. 12 of 2014. Based on the assessment of 43 drainage channels, the results showed that 33 channels (76.7%) are still functioning optimally and capable of accommodating the design discharge. Conversely, 10 channels (23.3%) were identified as having insufficient capacity. This capacity deficit was triggered by initial designs that did not accommodate the 10-year return period flood discharge, increased runoff coefficients due to massive pavement development, and effective cross-section narrowing caused by sedimentation. To mitigate inundation issues, this study recommends redesigning the failing channels using an economical hydraulic cross-section, accompanied by periodic normalization and dredging for functional channels. The findings of this study are expected to serve as technical guidelines for the optimal and sustainable management of campus drainage infrastructure.

This study examines the phenomenon of child marriage in Grobogan Regency by focusing on the relationship between child vulnerability and the effectiveness of child protection policies within a local context. Despite the revision of the legal minimum marriage age to 19 years through Law No. 16 of 2019, child marriage remains a persistent social issue. Data from the Religious Court of Purwodadi indicate that there were 562 cases in 2024, 463 cases in 2025, and 152 cases from January to April 2026, totaling 1,177 cases. This condition highlights a significant gap between policy formulation and its implementation at the local level. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, this study explores the multidimensional vulnerability of children, particularly girls, which includes economic hardship, limited access to education, weak bargaining power within families, and strong socio-cultural pressures. The findings reveal that child marriage is not merely an individual choice but a structural outcome shaped by gender inequality and restricted capabilities. Furthermore, social norms and community influence play a crucial role in sustaining the practice, often overriding formal legal frameworks. Although various prevention efforts have been implemented through policy interventions, socialization programs, and institutional coordination, these efforts remain fragmented and insufficiently integrated. The study concludes that addressing child marriage requires a comprehensive and multisectoral approach that combines legal enforcement, economic empowerment, educational access, and transformation of social norms. Strengthening local governance capacity and community engagement is essential to ensure more effective and sustainable child protection policies.

Food and nutrition governance is a central issue in subnational development, especially in areas with high agricultural potential but persistent malnutrition. This study analyzes how Grobogan Regency, Indonesia, implements food and nutrition governance through its 2025–2029 Regional Action Plan for Food and Nutrition Based on Local Resource Potential (RAD-PGBPSDL). Using qualitative policy analysis, the research examines policy design, strategic priorities, coordination mechanisms, and indicator frameworks, supported by secondary data on food production, consumption, poverty, and nutrition. Findings show that Grobogan possesses strong local food assets, including surplus production, improved dietary quality, and diverse commodities. However, major governance challenges persist, such as high stunting rates, maternal energy deficiency, uneven food access, climate-related production risks, and fragmented cross-sector data systems. The policy demonstrates a shift toward multisectoral governance by integrating food availability, affordability, utilization, institutional coordination, climate resilience, and local food diversification. Implementation may be constrained by limited operational detail, uneven agency readiness, and insufficient monitoring and accountability. The study highlights that effective food and nutrition governance requires institutional coordination, evidence-based planning, and adaptive public management. The Grobogan case provides practical lessons for strengthening subnational governance in Indonesia and similar developing contexts.

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of implementing forgiveness therapy in enhancing the personal growth of inmates at the Tangerang Class II-A Women’s Correctional Facility. The method used was a pre-experimental study with a one-group pretest-posttest design. Nine subjects aged 20-40 years were selected from 50 inmates based on low to moderate scores on the forgiveness scale and the psychological well-being scale. The intervention consisted of six sessions adapted from the forgiveness model developed by Enright and Fitzgibbons. Data analysis utilized a paired-sample t-test and the N-Gain formula. The results showed a significant increase in personal growth scores from the pretest (M = 7.00; SD = 1.225) to the posttest (M = 9.44; SD = 1.424), with t(8) = −8.315 and p < 0.001. An N-Gain value of 0.610 indicates moderate effectiveness. The follow-up measurement (M = 9.67; SD = 1.118) did not differ significantly from the post-test (p = 0.347), indicating the sustainability of the changes achieved. Forgiveness scores also increased from 65.33 (pre-test) to 86.67 (post-test) and 87.33 (follow-up), confirming the role of forgiveness as a psychological mechanism for personal growth. These findings support the integration of structured forgiveness therapy into correctional programs for women’s prisons.

This study aims to analyze the effect of the Open Unemployment Rate (OUR), Human Development Index (HDI), and zakat on poverty in Mandailing Natal Regency. The study employed a quantitative approach using the Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) based on quarterly secondary data from 2015 to 2025. The analytical procedures included stationarity testing, optimal lag selection, Johansen cointegration testing, VECM estimation, Granger causality testing, as well as Impulse Response Function (IRF) and Variance Decomposition (VD) analyses. The findings indicate that all variables were stationary at the second difference level, with an optimal lag length of four, and exhibited a long-run cointegration relationship. The VECM estimation reveals that, in the long run, the Open Unemployment Rate has a positive and significant effect on poverty, while zakat has a negative and significant effect in reducing poverty. In contrast, the Human Development Index does not significantly affect poverty, which may be explained by the presence of a development time lag and employment mismatch between workforce competencies and labor market demands. The Granger causality test indicates a one-way causal relationship from the Open Unemployment Rate to the Human Development Index. Furthermore, the Variance Decomposition analysis shows that poverty variation is predominantly explained by its own shocks (96.25%), reflecting the persistence of structural poverty. Therefore, policy synergy through employment expansion and the optimization of productive zakat programs based on business empowerment is recommended to accelerate poverty alleviation in Mandailing Natal Regency.
