This study aims to explore strategies for preventing pornography and indecency based on Islamic character education among adolescents in the digital era, through the interpretation of Ath-Thabari on Surah An-Nur verses 30–31. These verses provide a strong theological foundation for lowering the gaze (ghaddhul bashar), guarding chastity (hifzhul furuj), and covering the private parts as forms of self-protection from the negative influences of the digital environment. This research uses a qualitative approach with a library research method, with primary sources including the Qur’an and Tafsir Ath-Thabari, as well as secondary data from various relevant literature and journals. The results show that prevention strategies can be implemented through four main approaches: (1) Islamic character education in schools through strengthening strategies, persuasion, and normative re-education; (2) Education in the family environment using methods such as role modeling, habituation, storytelling, advice, and reward and punishment; (3) The role of society in forming Islamic social groups that actively address the influence of pornography; and (4) Strengthening individual Islamic character through faith, self-control, internet ethics, and repentance behavior. This study affirms that the interpretation of Ath-Thabari can provide applicable contributions in building a strong Islamic character education system as a moral safeguard for adolescents amid the overwhelming flow of digital information.

This study investigates the impact of toxic parenting on the mental health of late adolescents in Benda Baru, South Tangerang. The background of this research is rooted in the increasing number of adolescent mental health issues linked to unhealthy parenting practices, including excessive control, verbal abuse, physical violence, criticism, and neglect. The study aims to analyze the underlying causes of toxic parenting from the perspectives of adolescents, parents, and other family members, as well as to identify its psychological, social, and behavioral consequences. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation involving late adolescents aged 18–22, their parents, siblings, and key community informants. The findings indicate that toxic parenting often originates from intergenerational trauma, unresolved stress, and socio-cultural pressures, leading parents to adopt coercive and destructive parenting strategies. These practices contribute to significant mental health problems among adolescents, including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, difficulties in social adaptation, and tendencies toward self-harm. The study underscores the importance of preventive efforts through parenting education, psychosocial support at the community level, and the development of youth-friendly mental health services. The implications suggest that multi-sector collaboration involving families, schools, community leaders, and local government is essential to create a supportive environment that can break the cycle of toxic parenting and promote adolescent well-being.

The curriculum theory uses the Ralph W curriculum development model. Tyler curriculum development is carried out in systematic stages, namely; Objectives, Selecting Learning Experiences, Organizing Learning Experiences, Evaluation. Developing the Islamic boarding school curriculum has an impact on the morals of the students, as according to Sheikh Musthafa Al-Ghalayini, the implications of Sufistic moral values contribute to shaping behavior. This study uses a qualitative approach using the Ethnography method. Data collection techniques are carried out through interviews, observations and documentation analysis. The data analysis technique uses the Miles and Huberman analysis technique. While the validity test is carried out with data validity by conducting tests; credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability. The results of the study found that the management of the development of the Islamic boarding school curriculum in preparing a generation with Sufi morals: First, the Islamic boarding school curriculum is included in the traditionalist model of the school, namely by showing its traditional and school character. Second, the organization of the curriculum content consists of the contents of the curriculum, data, concepts, generalizations, and subject matter at the Islamic Boarding School. Third, Curriculum development is categorized as a grass roots model where there are initiatives and efforts coming from below, namely ustadz and Islamic boarding schools in developing a curriculum that is designed by themselves to produce a generation with Sufi morals. Fourth, Curriculum evaluation refers to the Objective Model Evaluation model (objective model) carried out at the end of curriculum development, this assessment activity is often called summative evaluation. Fifth, The impact of curriculum management on the level of morals is shown by the nature of istiqomah, self-control, prioritizing Islamic and basyariyah brotherhood, tolerance, honesty, sincerity, istiqomah, patience, gratitude, politeness and helping each other. This study examines the impact of political and public official corruption on Nigerian democracy and government legitimacy between 1999 and 2023. The research uses a qualitative descriptive approach, supported by documentary analysis, with the elite theory framework as the basis for gathering and evaluating relevant data. The study argues that the pervasive corruption within Nigeria’s democratic system is largely driven by the ruling elites, who control both political power and wealth. The elites are able to appropriate state powers and utilize them to amass resources and build networks of patronage, which are crucial for maintaining their dominance and subjugating the un-elite majority. Through the lens of power relations, the study highlights how these corrupt practices have led to the entrenchment of the elites’ control over political and economic systems. The study concludes that political corruption has significantly undermined the government's ability to provide essential public goods and services, which has, in turn, contributed to a decline in public trust in Nigeria's political institutions and democratic processes during this period. As the political landscape has become increasingly dominated by corruption, citizens have grown disillusioned with the system. The study recommends that Nigeria's political leadership reassess its current, money-driven and self-serving political approach, and adopt a more service-oriented model. Strengthening the rule of law, promoting public involvement in governance, and ensuring governmental accountability and legitimacy could help prevent Nigeria's slide toward political authoritarianism and reverse the democratic decline.

The increasing addiction to online games among children has become a concerning phenomenon, especially when linked to permissive parenting, which tends to provide excessive freedom without clear boundaries. This study aims to analyze the relationship between permissive parenting and online game addiction, with psychological well-being as a mediating variable. The method used is a qualitative approach with a Systematic Literature Review (SLR), where scientific articles from indexed databases such as Scopus, WoS, and Sinta in the last ten years were systematically reviewed. The results show that permissive parenting has a positive correlation with online game addiction, where children given excessive freedom tend to lack self-regulation and impulse control. However, psychological well-being acts as a mediating factor that can reduce the negative impact of permissive parenting on online game addiction. Children with good psychological well-being have lower levels of addiction compared to those experiencing emotional imbalance. The implications of this study highlight the importance of more balanced parenting styles and strategies to enhance children's psychological well-being in preventing online game addiction.

The development of self-reliance among correctional inmates faces challenges in terms of surveillance effectiveness and order within correctional institutions. One of the main issues encountered is the lack of an optimal surveillance system, which can hinder the rehabilitation process and increase the risk of rule violations. To address this issue, a socialization program for the installation of additional CCTV cameras in the Self-Reliance Development Room at Banyuwangi Class IIA Correctional Facility was conducted. The program aimed to enhance surveillance effectiveness, create a safer rehabilitation environment, and encourage behavioral changes among inmates. The methods used in this community service project included needs analysis, coordination with correctional authorities, conducting socialization sessions for officers and inmates, and evaluating the impact of CCTV installation. The results indicate that the installation of CCTV contributes to improving inmate discipline, reducing rule violations, and strengthening transparency and accountability in the rehabilitation process. Additionally, this program fosters the emergence of local leaders among inmates who play a role in maintaining order. These findings align with social control and social learning theories, which emphasize that effective surveillance can shape individual behavior and promote compliance with established norms. In conclusion, the implementation of surveillance technology in the correctional system can serve as a strategic step in supporting inmate rehabilitation and social reintegration.

Nutritional knowledge is knowledge about food and nutrients, sources of nutrients in food, food that is safe to consume so that it does not cause disease and how to process food properly so that the nutrients in food are not lost and how to live healthily. One of the factors that influences eating patterns is the level of nutritional knowledge. A person's level of nutritional knowledge influences eating behavior in choosing food which determines whether it is easy for a person to understand the benefits of the nutritional content of the food consumed. The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between nutritional knowledge and instant noodle eating patterns among Papuan students at Halu Oleo University. This research uses quantitative research and the type of research is observational analytics with a cross sectional design. The results showed that the majority of respondents had a poor level of nutritional knowledge (75%), while only 25% of respondents had high nutritional knowledge. This shows that even though students are in a higher education environment, their knowledge about nutrition still needs to be improved. Most respondents (52%) consume instant noodles 2-3 times a week, with the main reasons being ease of preparation (65%) and affordable price (20%). This consumption is more dominant among students who live in boarding houses or dormitories compared to those who live with their families. It is hoped that this research will be useful for subjects to balance their eating patterns and have self-control because the majority of subjects have uncontrolled eating patterns due to living in boarding houses or dormitories so that their body health continues to be maintained. Apart from that, subjects can also pay more attention to nutritional balance in consuming food in order to achieve optimal nutritional status.
