Systematic Literature Review Journal 2024 International Forum of Researchers and Lecturers

This systematic literature review explores the role of psychoneuroimmunology (PNI)-based mind-body interventions in improving wound healing within nursing practice. Wound healing is a complex, multifactorial process influenced not only by cellular and molecular factors but also by psychological and immune responses. Despite the growing body of evidence supporting the efficacy of mind-body practices such as guided imagery, hypnotherapy, and meditation in managing stress and modulating immune responses, there is limited integration of these interventions into clinical nursing practices. This review aims to bridge this gap by synthesizing studies published between 2020 and 2024 that examine the impact of these interventions on wound healing outcomes. The review follows the PRISMA protocol, analyzing data from 50 primary studies focusing on RCTs, systematic reviews, and quasi-experimental designs. The results show significant improvements in wound closure rates, pain reduction, and immune modulation (e.g., reduction in cortisol and pro-inflammatory cytokines) in patients who received mind-body interventions. The findings support the hypothesis that mind-body interventions, by addressing both psychological stress and immune function, enhance wound healing. The proposed framework for integrating PNI-based interventions into nursing practice could improve patient outcomes in chronic wound management. Future research should focus on long-term studies with larger sample sizes and standardized intervention protocols to further validate these findings.

This community service program was motivated by the suboptimal role of Dasawisma as a grassroots community organization in improving family welfare. Several Dasawisma groups still faced challenges in organizational management, low member participation, and limited understanding of productive and sustainable activity management. The objective of this program was to strengthen the organizational capacity of Dasawisma, increase member participation, and foster a spirit of solidarity and independence toward family welfare. The methods applied included a participatory approach through counseling sessions, group discussions, simple organizational management practices, and mentoring of Dasawisma activities. The results indicated an improvement in members’ understanding of organizational functions and the importance of structured activity planning. Members became more actively involved in preparing work programs, maintaining simple administrative records, and implementing productive and social activities. Behavioral changes were also observed, including increased collective responsibility, stronger cooperation among members, and the emergence of several local leaders. Furthermore, the program fostered a new awareness that Dasawisma is not merely a routine meeting forum, but a platform for empowering women and families toward sustainable welfare improvement.

The law of kamma is a core Buddhist doctrine explaining moral causality grounded in intentional action (cetana). Amid contemporary moral challenges dishonesty, aggression, low self-control, and weakened character education Buddhist moral education requires an internal basis that is both ethically clear and psychologically workable. This article examines how understanding kamma functions as a conceptual foundation for moral transformation, self-regulation, and behavioral improvement in Buddhist character education. Using a qualitative literature review, the study synthesizes canonical teachings and peer‑reviewed research in Buddhist ethics and moral psychology. Findings indicate that a non‑fatalistic understanding of kamma strengthens moral awareness, personal responsibility, reflective judgment, shame and moral dread (hiri–ottappa), and sustained self‑control. Integrating kamma within character education supports disciplined conduct (sīla), mindfulness‑based self‑management, and prosocial behavior that remains stable across contexts.

Background: The ACL is a ligament in the knee joint which functions to stabilize the tibia when moving forward and in rotational movements of the knee joint. Treatment for Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injuries can be done with several procedures, namely reconstructive and conservative. ACL reconstruction is a surgical procedure that replaces the injured ACL with a tendon graft because the ACL does not heal after injury due to insufficient vascularization. Common conditions after undergoing ACL reconstruction surgery are complication problems such as experiencing knee stiffness which includes swelling, pain, limited Range of Motion (ROM), especially in extension, decreased muscle strength and decreased proprioception. Objective : To determine the effectiveness of providing exercise in handling post-operative cases of phase 1 ACL surgery. Method: This study used the Case Report method which was carried out at RSD KRMT Wongsonegoro, Semarang in January 2024. The patient was a 20 year old male, diagnosed with Post Op. ALCR phase 1. Results & Discussion: After being given physiotherapy intervention for 3 meetings. With each therapy, it appears that there continues to be improvement. Can increase joint range of motion, increase knee flexor muscle strength, reduce perceived pain, and change segment circumference. Results: Based on the research that has been carried out, the results showed that providing physiotherapy intervention can be effective in phase 1 ACLR cases.
