in private junior high schools throughout Sempu District, female students follow Physical Education, Sports, and Health (PJOK) learning with feelings of boredom, doubt, and difficulty. However, it is not yet known what level of motivation female students have in following Physical Education, Sports, and Health (PJOK).  This study aims to analyze the motivation level of female students in participating in Physical Education, Sports, and Health (PJOK) learning at private junior high schools in Sempu District, Banyuwangi Regency. The research employs a survey method with a descriptive quantitative approach. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 62 respondents and analyzed using descriptive statistics with the assistance of SPSS software. The findings indicate that students' motivation in PJOK learning is generally high, with an actual score of 4,637 out of an ideal score of 6,200. The obtained mean score is 3.738, with a Respondent Achievement Level (TCR) of 74.79. Although most indicators reflect a high level of motivation, certain aspects remain in the moderate category, such as indicators X11, X16, X18, and X20. Factors contributing to lower motivation in these aspects may include a lack of variation in teaching methods, limited sports facilities, and insufficient external support. Therefore, efforts to enhance motivation should include more interactive teaching methods, improved sports facilities, and stronger environmental support to further increase students' enthusiasm for PJOK learning.

The church, as the body of Christ, carries a vital responsibility in shaping the congregation’s understanding of biblical doctrine as the foundation of a sound life of faith. However, in practice, there remains a gap between the theological instruction provided and the congregation’s actual comprehension in daily life. This study aims to analyze the level of understanding among local congregations regarding biblical doctrine, identify the factors influencing this understanding, and examine the discrepancies between teaching and its application in everyday life. This research employs a qualitative approach using a library research method, focusing on the examination of biblical texts, theological works, and relevant academic literature. The findings indicate that the congregation’s level of understanding of biblical doctrine varies and is influenced by internal factors such as spiritual motivation and faith experience, as well as external factors such as the quality of teaching and ecclesiastical leadership. The gap between teaching and understanding is attributed to the lack of contextual and interactive learning methods. This study underscores the importance of continuous and dialogical theological formation within local churches so that congregants may not only comprehend doctrine cognitively but also embody it practically in faith and action. These findings are expected to enrich the field of practical theology and serve as a reference for developing faith education within the church.

The study of classical Islamic texts (kitab kuning) in Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) plays a crucial role in strengthening students’ religious understanding as well as enhancing their mastery of the Arabic language. One of the foundational texts taught is Mubadi’ Fiqih, which contains basic principles of Islamic jurisprudence and serves as an introductory bridge for students to comprehend Arabic religious texts. This research aims to analyze the implementation of Mubadi’ Fiqih learning as an effort to strengthen students’ understanding of fiqh and enrich their Arabic vocabulary (mufrodat) at Ma’had Walisongo 1 Maron, Probolinggo. The study employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through classroom observations, in-depth interviews with the headmaster, teachers, and students, as well as documentation of the learning process. The findings reveal that the learning process applies bandongan and sorogan methods, supported by vocabulary translation exercises and contextual explanations of fiqh terminology. These strategies effectively enhance students’ comprehension of basic Islamic legal concepts while simultaneously expanding their Arabic vocabulary in religious contexts. Moreover, the teachers’ consistency in explaining Arabic sentence structures and assigning vocabulary memorization tasks significantly supports the learning outcomes. However, challenges such as students’ varying initial language proficiency and limited class time remain obstacles to achieving optimal results. Overall, the Mubadi’ Fiqih learning approach proves to be an effective integrative medium for strengthening both fiqh knowledge and Arabic linguistic competence among pesantren students.

The era of globalization is an era of quality competition, where only thosebwith high competence will be able to compete in the free market. Therefore, developing high-quality human resources is something that cannot be compromised. Education that supports development in this era is education that can foster students’ potential’ enabling them toface and overcome life’s challenges. Thus, in the learning process, teachers should not only serve as models or sources of knowledge but also act as learning managers. As learning managers, teachers play an important role in creating a learning environment that allows students to learn confortably and effectively. Based on observations at SMA Negeri 2 Taniwel, it was found that students in class X-2 have low learning outcomes in sociology. The writer’s observation in class indicated that sociology learning was dominated by lecture methods, resulting in students being less active during the learning process. According to research conducted by Al Muchtar (1991), learning in social studies education does not sufficiently simulate students to be actively involved in the learning process. Furthermore, the teaching and learning process of social studies carried out bye teachers has not been able to faster a learning culture among students, wich in turn significantly affects their learning achievement and outcomes. To support active learning strategies, teachers can apply various relevant learning models. Therefore, the learning process will become more varied, innovative, and constructive, creating interaction between teachers and students, among students themselves, and between students and other learning resources.

This study aims to explore the use of classroom talk in Indonesian EFL classrooms, specifically when teaching descriptive texts. Utilizing Sinclair & Coulthard's (1975) discourse analysis theory, the study focuses on the Initiation-Response-Feedback (IRF) model, which offers a framework for analyzing classroom interactions. By applying this model, classroom discourse can be broken down into a hierarchical structure that includes Exchanges, Moves, and Acts. This structure allows for a detailed examination of teacher-student communication, making its subtle nuances more explicit and accessible for analysis. The IRF model is widely recognized for its applicability and effectiveness in identifying the functional roles of utterances in classroom talk. One key observation from this study is that teacher-led initiation and questioning often dominate the discourse, with students primarily responding to the teacher’s prompts. The study suggests that the implications of the IRF model can help teachers reflect on their communication patterns and improve their teaching methods. By transforming teacher-centered scaffolding into a more student-centered approach, teachers can foster more effective interactions that enhance student engagement and learning. The study also highlights the importance of using the IRF model as a diagnostic tool for improving classroom communication practices and encouraging more dynamic and student-oriented teaching methods.

Making lesson plans (RPPs) is an essential part of implementing the 2013 curriculum because it gives instructors a practical guidance for carrying out the learning process, which is focused on developing students' character and taking a scientific approach.  The purpose of this study is to evaluate the appropriateness and quality of the RPP that instructors created in relation to the 2013 Curriculum.  The RPP was created by teachers in several elementary and high schools using a document study approach and a descriptive qualitative research methodology. According to Permendikbud Number 14 of 2019, the majority of RPPs have incorporated the required elements, including subject identity, core and basic competencies, learning objectives, learning materials, methods, media, learning resources, learning steps, and assessment.  Authentic evaluation, literacy integration, and the application of a thorough scientific approach were nevertheless determined to have shortcomings and were not yet at their best.  These results show that in order to increase the quality of learning planning in accordance with the 2013 Curriculum's tenets, teachers' capability must be strengthened through ongoing training and professional development.
