Iron-deficiency anemia during pregnancy remains a major public health concern in developing countries. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of iron and folic acid supplementation, known as iron tablets, in reducing the risk of anemia among pregnant women. A descriptive qualitative literature review method was employed by analyzing nine eligible studies published between 2013 and 2023. Articles were selected from databases including Google Scholar, PubMed, and ScienceDirect using specific keywords. The findings suggest that regular consumption of iron tablets, particularly starting in the second trimester and meeting the minimum recommended dose of 90 tablets, is effective in improving hemoglobin levels and lowering anemia prevalence. However, compliance remains a significant challenge, influenced by side effects, maternal knowledge, and social support. The review highlights the need for behavior-based interventions and family involvement to enhance adherence. The implication of this review supports the integration of targeted health education and follow-up strategies within antenatal care services to reduce anemia-related risks in pregnancy.

Exclusive breastfeeding plays a crucial role in reducing neonatal mortality rates, preventing growth disorders, and enhancing immunological resilience. However, adherence to exclusive breastfeeding practices remains below the targeted level. This study aims to analyze the relationship between maternal characteristics, knowledge, and family support with the success of exclusive breastfeeding in infants. A cross-sectional design was used, conducted at the UPTD Sawang Health Center, South Aceh Regency, during February–March 2025. The population consisted of all mothers with infants aged 7–12 months visiting the health center, totaling 120 individuals. A sample of 97 respondents was selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire, followed by data processing that included response completeness checks, variable coding, and data entry. Data analysis comprised univariate analysis to present the frequency distribution of maternal characteristics and knowledge, and bivariate analysis using the Chi-Square (χ²) test with a significance level of α=0.05 to test the hypotheses. The results showed that maternal employment was significantly associated with the success of exclusive breastfeeding (p < 0.001), whereas maternal education (p = 0.566), income (p = 0.915), maternal knowledge (p = 0.351), and family support (p = 0.252) were not significantly related. In conclusion, maternal employment has a significant relationship with exclusive breastfeeding success

Nutritional problems among elementary school-aged children remain a critical public health issue in Indonesia. A lack of family understanding regarding the importance of balanced nutrition is one of the key contributing factors to the high rates of stunting and malnutrition. This community service activity aims to improve family awareness of children's nutrition through an educational approach tailored to the families’ social, economic, and cultural characteristics. The program was conducted at SD Inpres Laikang, involving 60 families. The methods included identification of family characteristics, focus group discussions (FGDs), interactive lectures, and pre-and post-test evaluations. The results showed an improvement in nutritional understanding among 87% of participants, along with healthier dietary behavior changes at home. This approach adapts the principles of the Harvard Public Health Nutrition Model, which views the family as a systemic unit in shaping children's eating habits. Education based on family characteristics has proven effective and relevant in supporting sustainable nutrition literacy improvement.

This study aims to examine the perspectives of students from the Islamic Family Law (HKI) Study Program regarding Ministerial Regulation of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Permendikbudristek) No. 30 of 2021 concerning the Prevention and Handling of Sexual Violence in Higher Education Institutions. Particular focus is given to Article 5 paragraph 2, which contains the phrase “without the victim’s consent,” a clause that has sparked considerable public debate. This qualitative field research was conducted at the Faculty of Sharia, UIN Sjech M. Djamil Djambek Bukittinggi, involving 17 final-semester students selected using a snowball sampling technique. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and documentation, then analyzed using thematic analysis. The findings indicate that most students had limited understanding of the regulation due to the lack of socialization and outreach within the university. Moreover, the majority expressed concern over the phrase “without the victim’s consent,” which they viewed as ambiguous and potentially legitimizing consensual sexual relations outside of marriage—a practice prohibited in Islamic law. While the students supported the need for legal protection against sexual violence, they called for the revision of the regulation to align more closely with the principles of fiqh and Islamic jurisprudence. Thus, the effective implementation of this policy within Islamic higher education institutions requires the harmonization of state law and Islamic values.

This Study uses descriptive qualitative method with the data were conducted through video documentation of natural interactions and interviews with the parents of both children. The data collected were 18 utterances from each child which were then analyzed based on phonological aspects to identify error patterns, compensation strategies, and articulation skills. The findings showed that the two children has different phonological development patterns with Galfin showing more conservative phonological strategy by maintaining the original word structure, and people interaction environment from digital medias showing good phonological awarenees in Indonesian language development. While Arkhan showed more active phonological reconstruction by transforming difficult words into more easly produced form with a family environment that often made direct correction to Arkhan’s phonological errors which more stable and consistent phonological structure. Their phonological development was also successfully achieve through a variety of consistent support strategies that were responsive to the child’s emotional state and learning style. The result of this study support Chomsky’s Language Acquisition Device theory, in which both children demonstrated an innate capacity for language learning while showing how environmental triggers activated and shaped this biological predisposition because the children's ability to produce complex phonological structures without explicit instruction supports the nativist perspective on language acquisition.

This study, titled “The Influence of Parent-Child Interaction on the Development of Children’s Mindset and Attitudes,” is conducted through a literature review of various theories and previous relevant studies. The aim of this research is to identify the role of parent-child interactions in shaping children’s mindset and attitudes from early childhood to adolescence. Based on the literature analysis, it is found that high-quality interactions—such as open communication, positive role modeling, and consistent emotional support—significantly contribute to the development of critical thinking, empathy, and self-confidence in children. Conversely, authoritarian parenting styles, lack of communication, or unresponsiveness to children’s emotional needs tend to foster closed-mindedness, aggressive behavior, and poor social adaptability. This study highlights the essential role of parents in creating a supportive family environment for optimal character development in children.

Effective household financial management is a crucial pillar for the economic well-being of every family, particularly in the face of an uncertain economy and the challenges of modern life. Women hold a strategic position in improving household management because they have a greater ability to carry out household activities compared to men. The purpose of this activity is to highlight the role of women in enhancing household financial management, thereby supporting the sustainability of their families. This community service method employs a qualitative descriptive approach, utilizing data collection techniques that include initial surveys or observations, questionnaires, Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), and documentation in the form of photos, videos, and notes taken during the activity. The findings of this community service indicate that two activities are carried out: interactive lectures on family financial management and training on managing family finances. The results showed that 11 out of 13 participants had an understanding of family financial management education for Kuta village residents. In contrast, two people did not have a clear understanding of the training and lectures provided. These results indicate that not all RT mothers in Kuta village have the same sense of family financial management. Therefore, in the future, socialization and training in family finances are needed, involving more RT mothers in Desa Kuta.

Pregnancy is a critical phase in a woman's life that demands comprehensive support from her closest environment, especially from her husband. This study aims to describe the role of husbands in accompanying their wives during pregnancy, identify factors that influence the level of involvement, and understand the impact on the physical and psychological health of pregnant women. The research approach used was qualitative with the type of phenomenological study, which was conducted in Kotabaru District, South Kalimantan. The main informants consisted of purposively selected pregnant women and postpartum mothers, complemented by triangulation from husbands, health workers, and community leaders. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, non-participatory observation, and documentation, and analyzed thematically. The results showed that husbands' assistance included involvement in pregnancy check-ups, assistance with household chores, provision of financial and emotional support, and roles in preparing for childbirth. However, this involvement was influenced by the husband's knowledge, culture, communication, and working conditions. Intact support from husbands was shown to have a positive impact on pregnant women's sense of comfort, confidence, mental readiness, and physical health. This study emphasizes the importance of holistic involvement of husbands in the pregnancy process and the need for a family and culture-based approach in preparing for childbirth.

The issue of women's status in Islamic family law has remained a subject of ongoing debate, particularly when examined through the interpretation of Surah An-Nisa verse 34, which designates men as leaders (qawwam) within the family. This study aims to analyze the verse using an interdisciplinary approach that integrates classical and contemporary Qur’anic exegesis with feminist theory. This approach not only explores the dynamics of interpretation from traditional scholars such as al-Tabari and Ibn Kathir to modern thinkers like Amina Wadud, but also critically examines how various strands of feminism—liberal, radical, and Islamic—provide analytical frameworks to challenge patriarchal structures in Islamic family law. This research employs a qualitative method through library research, supported by normative and juridical-historical approaches. The findings reveal that Surah An-Nisa verse 34 can be understood in a more egalitarian manner when interpreted in light of evolving social contexts, without disregarding the fundamental principles of Sharia. The study concludes that integrating Qur’anic interpretation with feminist perspectives offers the potential for a more just, inclusive, and contextually responsive understanding of Islamic family law in addressing gender equality in contemporary society.

The phenomenon of the shifting role of wives in meeting family needs shows a change from the past, where in the past the wife was only tasked with taking care of housework and children, but along with the times, wives also take on the main role as breadwinners. This study uses a qualitative approach method to explore the role of wives as the main breadwinners in the family. The results of the study reveal that wives have an important role not only as economic supporters, but also as household managers. There are two main factors that encourage wives to take on this role, namely the husband's inability to meet family needs and the influence of an increasingly open social environment providing many employment opportunities for women. This study also emphasizes the importance of support from husbands and families so that wives can carry out dual roles well. The success of wives in carrying out both roles is highly dependent on the support available, including cooperation in the division of household tasks.

Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), once primarily affecting adults, is now increasingly prevalent among adolescents due to lifestyle changes. Adolescents represent a critical age group for the development of healthy behaviors, making it essential to identify factors influencing T2DM preventive behavior. This study employed a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design, conducted in Ciledug District, Tangerang City, from April to June 2025. A total of 224 adolescents aged 15–24 years were selected using stratified random sampling. Data were analyzed using the Chi-Square test. The results showed that 49.1% of adolescents exhibited poor preventive behavior against T2DM. Gender and perceived barriers were significantly associated with preventive behavior (p < 0.05), whereas other factors such as age, family history, and other Health Belief Model (HBM) constructs were not significantly related. In conclusion, adolescents’ preventive behavior toward T2DM remains relatively low and is influenced by perceived barriers. Therefore, interventions should focus on reducing perceived barriers while enhancing environmental support and self-motivation. Active involvement from schools, governments, families, and communities is crucial to foster positive behavioral change.

Wasiat Wajibah is a form of legally mandated bequest granted to specific heirs who, according to Islamic law, do not receive a share of the inheritance or receive an insufficient portion. This concept originally developed in Islamic jurisprudence as a solution for promoting social justice, particularly for grandchildren whose parent (the decedent’s child) had passed away before the testator. The transformation of this concept into Indonesia’s national legal system represents a response by the legal framework to the demand for substantive justice in the context of family and inheritance matters. This study aims to examine the concept of wasiat wajibah in Islamic law, its application within Indonesia’s positive law—particularly as regulated in the Compilation of Islamic Law (Kompilasi Hukum Islam/KHI)—and its transformation into national law. The research employs a normative juridical method, with analysis based on primary legal sources, namely the Compilation of Islamic Law (KHI), especially Articles 171–214 which regulate Islamic inheritance law, and Article 209 which specifically addresses wasiat wajibah. In addition, Law No. 1 of 1974 concerning Marriage serves as the legal framework for family law within the national legal system. The findings indicate that wasiat wajibah is a legal innovation inspired by the principles of justice and protection for relatives whose inheritance rights are otherwise excluded. Article 209 of the KHI explains that there is no inheritance relationship between adopted children and adoptive parents; however, a legal breakthrough exists in the form of wasiat wajibah, which governs such relationships. The transformation of wasiat wajibah into the national legal system is carried out through legislation, judicial practice, and is supported by a legal culture that is increasingly responsive to social justice and the realities of contemporary Muslim families.

The increasing number of rape crimes by child perpetrators is a serious problem that needs to be reviewed in depth, not only from a legal aspect, but also from a criminological perspective that takes into account the child's social, psychological and environmental background. The type of research used is empirical legal research with a descriptive-analytical approach. This study relies on primary data obtained through direct interviews with staff at the Surakarta Correctional Facility and literature reviews of relevant laws and scientific literature. The results of the study indicate that internal factors such as past trauma, psychological disorders, and lack of moral understanding, as well as external factors such as family and social environments and weak supervision, are triggers for children to commit rape. The role of BAPAS Surakarta is proven to be crucial in efforts to provide support, rehabilitation, and social reintegration for children following court rulings. This study is expected to contribute scientifically to efforts to prevent and address sexual violence by children, as well as provide input for the government and correctional institutions in developing policies based on a child protection approach.
