This study aims to analyze the effect of maqashid sharia on Muslim women's happiness in Indonesia, using data from the Indonesian Family Life Survey (IFLS) 5th wave 2014. Maqashid sharia, as a core concept in Islamic law, focuses on the maintenance of five main aspects, namely religion (ad-din), soul (an-nafs), intellect (al-aql), offspring (an-nasl), and property (al-mal). This study examines whether the implementation of maqashid sharia principles coupled with region of residence as a control variable has a significant impact on the subjective happiness of Muslim women in Indonesia. Using logit regression method and STATA software, this study found that the maintenance of health (soul), education (mind), and income (wealth) has a significant positive effect on Muslimah's happiness, heredity (lineage) shows an insignificant negative effect, religiosity (religion) shows a positive and significant relationship, while the region of residence has an insignificant negative relationship with the level of happiness of Muslimah in Indonesia. These results indicate that the subjective happiness of Indonesian Muslim women is more influenced by material dimensions than philosophical or spiritual matters. This research is expected to contribute to the formulation of public policies that support the social welfare of Muslimahs based on maqashid sharia.

This study explains how Maqashid Sharia is applied in regulatory and Islamic economic policies in Indonesia through the implementation of five fundamental principles: protection of religion (hifz al-din), life (hifz al-nafs), intellect (hifz al-‘aql), lineage (hifz al-nasl), and wealth (hifz al-mal). This concept is proposed as a normative foundation for formulating and implementing public policies that are just, sustainable, and focused on welfare. The article discusses the application of Maqashid in Islamic finance, banking, internet regulation, consumer protection, and the role of ZISWAF institutions. The author also identifies challenges in implementation, such as limited human capacity in understanding Maqashid, regulatory conflicts, and fragmented policy interventions. The recommendations highlight the importance of promoting Maqashid literacy, regulatory reform, and institutional synergy as strategies to build an Islamic economy rooted in spiritual ethics and social justice.

Wearing a hijab for Muslim women is not just a habit, but an obligation that has a deep meaning in religion and daily life. This tradition is not just owned by Muslims, in ancient times this tradition has been attached as a civilization, so it is important to explore this matter further. This article aims to trace the dynamics of the hijab from a historical perspective. With a qualitative descriptive approach, the study found that the history of wearing the hijab is much older than Islam. The use of the hijab has existed in various cultures and civilizations in the world, even before Islam was born, precisely since the Sumerian civilization in Mesopotamia around 5,000 BC. The tradition of the hijab is also found in ancient Assyrian society. Wearing the hijab can be a symbol of honor and social status, especially for elite women or priestesses, a differentiator between free women and slaves, and part of a particular cultural tradition, as seen in various ancient civilizations. Thus, wearing the hijab is not only a practice related to Islam, but also a social phenomenon that has existed for a long time in the history of human civilization. This finding is important for the creation of a dignified society, amidst the fading awareness of wearing the hijab among Muslim teenagers. This research provides a direction for future research on the importance of the hijab for the honor of women more specifically.

This study presents an advanced AI-powered framework to detect and prevent cyberbullying across diverse social media platforms using a multiclass classification approach. Addressing the growing complexity and linguistic diversity of online abuse, the research integrates various machine learning (RF, LR, SVM) and deep learning (Bi-LSTM, BERT) models trained on a balanced dataset covering bullying categories based on religion, age, ethnicity, gender, and neutral content. Data preprocessing, tokenization, feature extraction via TF-IDF and CountVectorizer, and class balancing using SMOTE were applied to enhance model accuracy. The proposed system further supports real-time detection through social media APIs, offering dynamic monitoring and intervention capabilities. Among the tested models, Random Forest and BERT achieved the highest classification performance with 94% accuracy. Despite its robust architecture, limitations include dependence on English-language datasets, exclusion of multimodal data (e.g., memes, audio), and API restrictions that challenge scalability. Future development will focus on incorporating vision-language models and optimizing the system for real-time, multilingual, and multimodal environments. This study contributes to digital safety efforts by proposing a scalable and adaptive detection system suitable for safeguarding users from evolving forms of online harassment.

This study uses the systematic literature review (SLR) method, in order to answer research questions in a structured manner, by referring to the PRISMA 2020 model by reviewing 100 articles with keywords, namely (1) marriage commitment, (2) marriage satisfaction, and (3) commitment and marital life satisfaction. This research used the EndNote X9 application to obtain 5 articles from the Google Scholar database with the help of Harzing Publish or Perish (PoP). The results of this study show that commitment and marital life satisfaction are interrelated in maintaining marital harmony. Commitment, demonstrated through responsibility, support, and long-term orientation, is the foundation of marital stability. Couples with high commitment are better able to deal with challenges such as age difference or long distance thanks to open communication and effective conflict resolution. Factors such as religion, social support and the presence of children also affect satisfaction. Religious values strengthen relationship resilience, while unfulfilled expectations for children can decrease satisfaction.

The global environmental crisis demands a comprehensive approach, including from a religious perspective. Islam as a religion that is very holistic contains teachings about nature conservation which are unraveled in the Qur'an. However, the study of contemporary mufasir's views on environmental issues is still very limited, especially in the context of the thought of Prof. Dr. M. Quraish Shihab. This article also aims to examine how in the view of quraish shihab about the importance of environmental preservation in life. on the principles of environmental management reflected in his interpretation, as well as his contribution in providing solutions to problems in the current environment. In addition, this article will discuss a comparison of the approach of the interpretation of the Qur'an Shihab with other contemporary scholars, such as for example in the Tafsir of Al Azhar by Hamka. This study uses a qualitative method with a holistic thematic interpretation (maudhui) approach and a systematic approach to scientific interpretation. The results of the study show that Quraish Shihab views the environment as a mandate from Allah swt that we must maintain its sustainability with the principles of balance, sense of responsibility, and sustainability. His relevant thinking is to be used as the basis for Islamic environmental ethics that are applicable in the modern era. This finding also fills the literary gap in the study of contemporary interpretation by presenting ecological solutions based on the Qur'an.

According to BPS data, in 2024, the poverty rate in Siak Regency reached 5.08% of a total population of 487.67 thousand. Family poverty is a major challenge in Indone-sia’s social development. As the official institution managing zakat, BAZNAS plays a strategic role in alleviating poverty. However, the current zakat regulations do not ful-ly support a family-based approach to zakat distribution. This study aims to formu-late a legislative reconstruction model for BAZNAS based on the Maqasid Syariah, ensuring that zakat distribution is more equitable, effective, and has a systemic impact on the welfare of poor families. Employing a qualitative normative approach and Maqasid Syariah theory, the study finds that the restructuring of BAZNAS regula-tions should emphasize the dimensions of protection for religion (din), soul (nafs), intellect ('aql), lineage (nasl), and wealth (mal), with the family as the fundamental unit of society. Family poverty is not merely a matter of economic incapacity; it also encompasses the failure to meet basic needs related to education, health, and social protection. Religious institutions like BAZNAS possess a constitutional and reli-gious mandate to manage zakat professionally. However, the current management and legislation of zakat have not been holistically oriented towards the sustainable empowerment of poor families. Within the framework of Maqasid Syariah, zakat is not only an obligatory act of worship but also a socio-economic instrument designed to safeguard five essential components: religion, soul, intellect, lineage, and wealth. Therefore, it is imperative to reconstruct zakat regulations in a manner that is attuned to contemporary needs and capable of addressing the challenges of family-based poverty.

This research examines the matrilineal inheritance system in Minangkabau society through the perspective of maqasid al-sharia and the principles of Adat Basandi Syarak, Syarak Basandi Kitabullah (ABS-SBK). The matrilineal inheritance system which transmits inheritance through the mother's lineage is considered controversial in relation to Islamic law which is based on faraid. Through a qualitative approach using literature study and interview methods, this research analyzes the fatwas of Minangkabau female clerics which emphasize that the customary system can be in harmony with the main objectives of Islamic law, such as the protection of life, offspring, property and religion. The results show that female ulama see this system as a form of contextual ijtihad that considers justice and social benefit. The distinction between high inheritance (custom) and search property (divided according to Islamic law) reflects the flexibility in combining adat and sharia. Therefore, the Minangkabau matrilineal inheritance system is not only considered valid according to custom, but is also relevant to maqasid al-sharia.

This study involved related literature analysis of academic sources, including theoretical works and thoughts of scholars andIslamicthinkers."The"conclusion"that"can"be"drawn"from"this"study"isthat"the"understanding"of"liberalism is still widely adopted by the Islamic Ummah even though the ideology of liberalism is very"contrary"to"the"teachings"of"Islam", this"is"due"to"the"weak religious education in every individual of the Islamic Ummah itself which then considers that Islamic rules curb human freedom.

Islamic education delves into the profound aspects of the individual, where knowledge is regarded as a divine gift that must be utilized in fulfilling the human role as a khalifah (steward) on Earth. The main challenge facing Islamic education today is the dichotomy between religious and secular knowledge. This study explores the thoughts of Mohammad Natsir, an Indonesian Muslim intellectual, who sought to formulate an Islamic education system that aligns with the demands of religion, nation, and state. Using a qualitative descriptive approach and library research, this study concludes that: 1) Natsir’s thoughts on Islamic education are based on the Qur'an and Sunnah, emphasizing the importance of an integral, harmonious, and universal education to develop human potential as khalifah. 2) Natsir’s relevance in the reform of Islamic education includes a purification process returning to pure Islamic teachings with tawhid (monotheism) as the foundation of education, and modernization through the integration of religious and secular education to overcome the dichotomy in Indonesia’s educational system.
