The transition from paper-based to Computer-Based Test (CBT) in the Academic Potential Test (TPA) for state university entrance selections has significantly transformed the educational assessment landscape. This conceptual study aims to evaluate the instruments of CBT-based TPA, focusing on validity, reliability, fairness, and technological infrastructure constraints. Employing a systematic literature review approach, this research synthesizes various foundational theories of educational measurement, specifically Item Response Theory (IRT) and Computerized Adaptive Testing (CAT), alongside contemporary empirical findings from the last five years. The findings indicate that while CBT offers enhanced administrative efficiency and rapid grading, the validity of the instruments is frequently challenged by item exposure and the diverse digital literacy levels of test-takers. Furthermore, infrastructural disparities among regions pose a significant threat to testing fairness. The implication of this study suggests the urgent need for a dynamic item bank generation system and the implementation of adaptive testing to mitigate cheating and ensure equitable assessment. Future educational policies must bridge the digital divide before uniformly mandating CBT. Ultimately, this review provides a comprehensive framework for test developers to refine CBT TPA instruments, ensuring they genuinely measure academic potential rather than technological proficiency.

Fiqh learning education activities play an important role in improving early childhood worship awareness, particularly in understanding the pillars of Islam as the foundation of Islamic teachings. This study was motivated by the low level of children’s understanding of the pillars of Islam, which was caused by learning methods that were less engaging and less interactive. Therefore, this study aims to improve the understanding, habituation, and worship awareness of early childhood through the use of a simple, communicative, and easy-to-understand lecture method at TPQ Al-Hidayah, Pacar Kembang, Surabaya. This study employed a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach consisting of several stages, namely problem identification, learning planning using the lecture method, implementation of activities, evaluation, and joint reflection to enhance learning effectiveness. The results showed that fiqh learning through the lecture method had a positive impact on improving children’s understanding of the pillars of Islam, developing worship habits, and fostering full awareness in carrying out daily worship practices. Thus, the lecture method is considered effective in enhancing understanding and worship awareness among early childhood learners.

Accurate classification of rainfall intensity patterns is important for early warning systems, hydrometeorological risk assessment, and water resource management. Surface rain gauges have limited spatial coverage, so this study uses NOAA NEXRAD Level II radar data from the KTLX station in 2023. K-Means clustering was applied to identify rainfall intensity patterns from 30 randomly selected days, with scans stratified into four daily time intervals. Seven features were extracted from each radar sweep, including reflectivity statistics, convective and stratiform ratios, and rainfall coverage. The data were normalized and balanced before clustering. The optimal cluster count was determined through a combined evaluation of the Elbow Method, Silhouette Score, and Davies-Bouldin Index, yielding K=5 as the most representative configuration. Evaluation results demonstrated a Silhouette Score of 0.3871 and a Davies-Bouldin Index of 0.8599, indicating moderate cluster cohesion that reflects the inherent overlapping nature of rainfall intensity transitions in radar reflectivity data. The clusters represent rainfall regimes from non-precipitating conditions to intense convective events. These results support the use of K-Means for automated rainfall pattern recognition and flood forecasting applications.

Learning fiqh is a very important thing to learn because fiqh regulates all the laws of Allah related to human work where the laws are taken from the Qur'an and Sunnah by means of ijtihad. However, in the field there are still many students who do not understand how to perform tayammum taharah correctly. This happens due to lack of understanding and insufficient habits. Thus, this PKM activity aims to educate students related to taharah so that students not only understand theory, but can apply it in daily life according to Islamic law. The method used is Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) with the stages of discovery, dream, design, define, and destiny. To optimize local potentials such as the competence of ustazah and TPQ facilities, through lectures, demonstrations, discussions, hands-on practice, and evaluation based on interactive quizzes. The results of the tayammum mentoring activities show that TPQ Darul Falah students are very active and interactive during learning. Students who initially did not understand the procedures of tayammum properly and perfunctorially, are now able to do it according to Islamic law. In addition, this training activity provides direct understanding and experience to ustazah and students of TPQ Darul Falah in learning tayamum practice.

Coastal areas are highly dynamic and increasingly exposed to physical pressures such as coastal erosion, shoreline change, inundation, and sea-level rise. In Indonesia, most coastal vulnerability studies remain focused on physical mapping and have not been systematically integrated with spatial planning evaluation. This study aims to analyze physical coastal vulnerability using the Coastal Vulnerability Index (CVI) and integrate the results with the Regional Spatial Plan (RTRW) in the coastal areas of Mangarabombang and Laikang Sub-districts, Takalar Regency. A quantitative spatial approach was applied using eight parameters, which were reclassified into vulnerability scores, transformed into CVI values, and classified using quartile methods. The results show that high and very high vulnerability classes dominate the coastal area. Spatial integration reveals that several development zones intersect with high vulnerability levels, indicating potential spatial mismatch. This study confirms that CVI can be operationalized as a spatial evaluation tool to support adaptive and risk-based coastal planning.

Work discipline is a crucial element in improving employee performance, particularly in the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector such as automotive workshops, which often face managerial and structural challenges. This study aims to explore the understanding, implementation, and influence of work discipline on employee performance at Gandi Jaya Motor Workshop, Jombang, within a local context characterized by religious values and informal work culture. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method with a case study approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation, and were analyzed thematically. The findings reveal that work discipline is perceived as a form of personal responsibility driven by leadership example and religious values, rather than by formal systems alone. External factors such as limited infrastructure and the absence of a structured HR evaluation system also affect performance effectiveness. These findings expand the scope of Work Discipline and Employee Performance theories by incorporating social and cultural dimensions as determinants of work behavior. The study concludes by emphasizing the need for a humanistic approach to HR management in MSMEs and recommends further exploration with broader participant coverage and more diverse methodological approaches.

The Labor-Intensive Housing Program is one of the Surabaya City Government’s policies aimed at reducing poverty and unemployment through labor-intensive community empowerment. This study aims to describe and analyze the implementation of the Labor-Intensive Housing Program (RPK) at the Pitstop business unit in Lidah Kulon Village, Lakarsantri Subdistrict, Surabaya City. This study employs a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, utilizing Van Meter and Van’s policy implementation theory. Primary data were collected through interviews and observations, while secondary data were derived from official documents and relevant publications. The results showed that the implementation of the Pitstop Labor Intensive Housing Program has not yet been optimal. In terms of policy standards and objectives, the program’s goals have been clearly defined but have not yet been fully achieved. Regarding resources, the availability of facilities and funding is adequate, but there are still limitations in human resources, particularly skilled technicians in the automotive repair field. Inter organizational communication has taken place but has not been intensive enough to support business sustainability. Characteristics of the implementing agents indicate that the structure of the Labor-Intensive Housing team has been clearly defined; however, implementation in the field has not been optimal due to weak coordination and communication. Economic, social, and political conditions-such as a less-than-strategic business location and high competition from similar businesses-have also contributed to the low number of customers. Meanwhile, the disposition of the implementers demonstrates a positive attitude in supporting the Labor-Intensive Housing program. The Labor-Intensive Housing Program must be supported by professional mechanics through education, certification, and collaboration with the private sector and training institutions to ensure the quality of services. In addition, building public trust, coordination among stakeholders, and intensive support through monitoring and evaluation are key to the success and sustainability of the Labor-Intensive Housing Program.

Turbinate hypertrophy is a condition characterized by abnormal enlargement of the nasal turbinate mucosa, which can lead to chronic nasal obstruction and decreased quality of life. This condition is associated with inflammatory processes in which eosinophils play a role as part of the immune response. This study aimed to determine the relationship between eosinophil levels and the degree of turbinate hypertrophy based on blood examination in hospitalized patients. This research used an observational analytic design with a cross-sectional approach involving 40 patients diagnosed with turbinate hypertrophy at Cut Meutia General Hospital, North Aceh. Data were obtained from medical records, including patient characteristics, eosinophil levels, and the degree of turbinate hypertrophy. The results showed that most patients were aged 17–25 years, predominantly female, and commonly had non-allergic underlying conditions. The majority of patients had normal eosinophil levels (80%), while most cases were classified as grade III turbinate hypertrophy (65%). Statistical analysis using Fisher’s Exact Test demonstrated no significant relationship between eosinophil levels and the degree of turbinate hypertrophy (p>0.05). These findings suggest that eosinophil levels may not be a reliable indicator in assessing the severity of turbinate hypertrophy, particularly in patients with non-allergic conditions. This study highlights the need to consider other contributing factors in the evaluation and management of turbinate hypertrophy to improve diagnostic accuracy and treatment outcomes.
