Breast cancer is one of the most prevalent cancers among women and remains a major public health concern due to late detection and limited awareness of early prevention. Community empowerment through health education plays a crucial role in improving knowledge and early detection practices. This community service activity aimed to enhance women’s knowledge and skills related to breast cancer prevention and early detection through breast self-examination (BSE). The activity employed a participatory educational approach, including health education sessions, demonstrations, and hands-on BSE practice. Participants were women aged 20–60 years from the community. Evaluation was conducted using pre-test and post-test questionnaires and direct observation of BSE practice. The results indicated a significant improvement in participants’ knowledge and ability to correctly perform BSE following the intervention. These findings suggest that structured, community-based education and empowerment programs are effective in increasing awareness and promoting early detection behaviors for breast cancer. Continuous implementation of such programs is recommended to support breast cancer prevention efforts and improve women’s health outcomes.

The success of Guidance and Counseling services relies heavily on adherence to fundamental principles such as confidentiality and voluntariness, yet field implementation faces complex challenges regarding educational levels and modern developments. This study aims to analyze the implementation of fundamental guidance and counseling principles and their relevance to religious value integration and technology adaptation. The method used is qualitative with a library research design, analyzing 20 scientific journal articles published between 2020 and 2025. The results show that the implementation of principles is dynamic. At the elementary level, the expertise principle is hindered by classroom teachers doubling roles, while secondary levels face service management challenges. Current relevance is realized through adapting the principle of currentness with web-based technology and the principle of normativeness through Islamic approaches. This study implies the need for strengthening counselor digital competence and providing professional personnel at the elementary level to ensure service integrity.

The concept of human nature occupies a fundamental position in the philosophy of Islamic education, as it serves as the foundation for formulating educational goals, curriculum design, teaching methods, and the overall direction of education. Islamic education is not merely oriented toward the transfer of knowledge but is directed toward shaping the whole human being in a balanced manner, encompassing physical, intellectual, and spiritual dimensions. This study aims to examine the concept of human nature from the Islamic perspective and the views of Islamic philosophical figures, as well as to analyze its philosophical and practical implications for the implementation of Islamic education. This research employs a library research method by reviewing primary and secondary sources, including the Qur’an, classical Islamic texts, and relevant scholarly literature on human nature and Islamic education. The findings indicate that Islam views human beings as multidimensional creatures endowed with fitrah, intellect, spirituality, and social responsibility as servants and vicegerents of God on earth. The Qur’anic concepts of humanity, reflected in the terms al-insān, al-basyar, and al-nās, emphasize the complexity and uniqueness of humans as biological, rational, spiritual, and social beings. The perspectives of scholars such as Al-Ghazali, Ibn Arabi, and Hasan Al-Banna further reinforce the view that Islamic education must integrate intellectual, moral, and spiritual development in a balanced manner. The implications of this study highlight the necessity of designing Islamic education in a holistic and humanistic framework to produce insan kamil—individuals who are faithful, knowledgeable, possess noble character, and demonstrate social responsibility in communal life.

Historical video games are one of the entertainment screen media genres that represent actual historical events influencing the players to learn interactively. Moreover, in an era where technology is increasingly advanced the presence of pop culture that is included in history-based games leads people to get interested more in things that were initially boring to follow. “Sengoku BASARA” (戦国BASARA) is a successful action game featuring a main character based on Japanese feudal warlords wrapped in fictional and dramatic form published by CAPCOM which is very popular in Japan. Yet, Indonesia hasn’t developed a game based on the history of their ancient kingdom with good qualities to bring their interest to learning. The research methodology in this study using a qualitative approach includes content analysis using the 5 W 1 H technique to explore how the historical events and characters in the game are visualized and how it brings or gives the player an understanding of the history. This study aims to delve into two main points: 1. Understanding how “Sengoku BASARA” adapts the elements of their history, 2. The potential of this game as an educational tool is to introduce the historical characters as well as their story events. In conclusion, “Sengoku BASARA” does not have perfect accuracy in visualizing the original history yet it can be the first step to learning more about history interestingly and entertainingly.

The low level of interest and motivation among elementary school students in learning mathematics, particularly in plane geometry topics, remains a common problem. This community service activity aimed to improve students’ interest and understanding of plane geometry concepts through the implementation of the Inspiration Class as an educational medium that connects mathematical material with students’ aspirations. The activity was conducted at SDN 056024 Dogang, Langkat Regency, involving sixth-grade students. The implementation method employed a participatory and educational approach consisting of preparation, implementation, and evaluation stages. The activities included the delivery of plane geometry material, interactive discussions, and a creative project in the form of a “dream tree” using origami shaped into plane figures. The evaluation was performed qualitatively by observing student engagement and interactions in question-and-answer sessions, and analysis of students’ work. The results showed that the Inspiration Class created a more active and enjoyable learning atmosphere, increased student participation, and helped students better understand the concepts and properties of plane figures. In addition, this activity motivated students by linking mathematics learning with future aspirations and professions. Therefore, the Inspiration Class can be considered an effective alternative educational medium for teaching mathematics at the elementary school level.

This Research and Development (R&D) study aimed to develop a project-based learning (PjBL) hyper-content e-module to support students’ Self-Regulated Learning (SRL) in higher education. Utilizing the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation), the research addressed the need for innovative digital resources in the Learning Resource Center Management Course at Educational Technology Study Program Lambung Mangkurat University. Unlike previous studies that focused on isolated variables, this research integrates development, PjBL implementation, and SRL impact analysis. The hyper-content e-module incorporates multimodal features, including audio, video, infographics, and QR codes, to facilitate independent exploration. Validation by experts yielded high feasibility scores: 89% from material experts, 87% from media experts, and 88% from instructional design experts. Through qualitative content analysis conducted during the analysis and evaluation phase, the results confirmed that the PjBL-integrated e-module effectively improved students' learning independence by providing structured, project-oriented digital pathways. The results confirm that the e-module is a feasible and effective tool for modernizing instructional delivery. This study contributes an innovative framework for digital resource management and provides a foundation for future applied research in enhancing educational quality through self-regulated, technology-enhanced learning environments.

The rapid development of information technology has provided significant opportunities to improve the efficiency of academic administration in schools. One of the common problems faced by educational institutions is the manual process of subject scheduling, which is time-consuming and prone to schedule conflicts among teachers, classes, and learning time. This problem is also experienced by SMPK Flos Carmeli, where the preparation of subject schedules has not yet been supported by an integrated computerized system. This study aims to design and develop a web-based subject scheduling application at SMPK Flos Carmeli using the Model–View–Controller (MVC) architecture. The research method employed is Research and Development (R&D) with the Waterfall software development model, which includes the stages of requirements analysis, system design, and application implementation. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and literature review to obtain system requirements that align with the school’s conditions. The application was developed using native PHP with the implementation of the MVC pattern to produce a structured, maintainable, and flexible system. The results show that the developed application is able to support the subject scheduling process in a faster, more accurate, and well-organized manner. The system provides features for managing teacher data, class data, time slots, schedule arrangement, and schedule printing, thereby minimizing schedule conflicts and improving the efficiency of school administrative work. Therefore, this subject scheduling application is expected to support the digitalization of academic administration and enhance the effectiveness of the teaching and learning process at SMPK Flos Carmeli.
