Abstract. This study aims to examine the role of social innovation in accelerating community economic development through a participatory approach based on local potential. Social innovation is seen as an effective new solution to address various social and economic problems, particularly at the community level, by involving communities as key actors of change. This study highlights the importance of collaboration between communities, government, academia, the private sector, and non-governmental organizations in creating an inclusive and sustainable development ecosystem. The results indicate that social innovation can strengthen community economic independence, create alternative economic models such as digital cooperatives and community-based economies, and encourage broad participation in the development process. However, various obstacles remain, such as low digital literacy, limited access to funding, and weak policy support. Therefore, systemic interventions and more progressive policy support are needed to expand the impact of social innovation on sustainable community economic development.

Indonesia’s Islamic capital market has experienced remarkable growth in recent years, evidenced by the increasing number of investors and the rising market capitalization of Sharia-compliant stocks. This article aims to analyze the performance and management strategies of Sharia stock portfolios by reviewing academic literature published in Indonesia between 2019 and 2024. Utilizing a literature review methodology, the study compares the return and risk characteristics of Sharia stocks with those of conventional stocks. It also evaluates the applicability and effectiveness of classical portfolio theories—namely, the Markowitz Model and the Single Index Model—in managing Sharia-compliant investments. The findings reveal that Sharia stock portfolios often perform competitively and tend to exhibit greater resilience and stability during financial crises. This resilience is attributed in part to the rigorous stock screening mechanisms that comply with Islamic principles, excluding sectors and companies that do not meet Sharia criteria. Additionally, various macroeconomic factors such as inflation, interest rates, exchange rates, and global economic fluctuations are found to impact the performance of Islamic stock portfolios. The article highlights that while Sharia investments align with ethical and religious values, they also offer practical advantages in risk management and diversification. Furthermore, digital technology and fintech innovation are seen as essential tools to enhance transparency, accessibility, and investor engagement in the Islamic capital market. The study concludes that the development of Sharia-compliant stock investments in Indonesia holds promising potential, especially if accompanied by improved financial literacy, inclusive investor education, and stronger technological infrastructure. This paper offers valuable insights for policymakers, market regulators, and investors interested in promoting sustainable and faith-based financial practices within Indonesia’s rapidly evolving capital market ecosystem.

Advances in information technology-based financial services are beginning to follow suit, in the form of peer-to-peer lending, which provides easy access to loans without the need for conventional financial institutions. However, this convenience brings new challenges, particularly regarding the protection of users' personal data. Many platform providers access excessive amounts of sensitive information, such as contacts, photos, and other personal data, which can be misused to the detriment of borrowers. Therefore, this study aims to identify and analyze regulations related to personal data protection, particularly in the field of peer-to-peer lending services in Indonesia. It also analyzes the role of financial institutions, namely the Financial Services Authority (OJK), in addressing potential violations committed by platform providers. Using a normative legal approach, the study shows that despite the existence of these regulations, implementation in the field is suboptimal, particularly in terms of monitoring illegal platforms. Furthermore, challenges to oversight include limited resources and a lack of digital literacy among the public, which results in many users not fully understanding the risks of sharing their personal data. This study also highlights the importance of collaboration between the OJK, the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, and law enforcement agencies to strengthen oversight mechanisms and take action against violations. In addition, extensive public education regarding personal data security is needed to encourage greater vigilance in using digital services. Personal data protection must be a top priority in the development of financial technology to prevent privacy violations. Strict regulations and effective sanctions are expected to provide a deterrent effect and create a healthy and equitable fintech ecosystem in Indonesia. This study also recommends that the government accelerate harmonization between the Personal Data Protection Law (PDP Law) and financial services sector regulations, particularly regarding service providers' transparency obligations in managing consumer data.

Digitalization has been a key catalyst for change in the global business landscape, driving the transformation of companies' strategies, organizational structures, and operational models. For small and medium enterprises (SMEs), digital technology opens up great opportunities to expand market reach and compete in the international arena more effectively. Technologies such as e-commerce, social media, big data analytics, and cloud-based platforms enable SMEs to break through geographical boundaries, facilitate access to global customers, and accelerate product distribution and marketing processes. This paper explores the current academic literature that discusses the influence of digital technology on the internationalization of SMEs. A total of five relevant studies were analyzed to identify common patterns, challenges, and successful strategies in the use of digital technology. The results of the study show that the adoption of digitalization not only improves operational cost efficiency, but also encourages business model innovation, such as digital platform-based marketing, cross-border virtual collaboration, and the development of a more adaptive global business ecosystem. In addition, the ability to utilize digital technology gives SMEs a competitive advantage through access to real-time market information, personalization of offers, and more targeted branding strategies. However, the research also found obstacles, such as limited human resources, technological infrastructure, and digital literacy among SMEs. Therefore, synergy is needed between business actors, the government, and academia to support the acceleration of digital technology adoption through training, mentoring, and policies that support innovation. The paper also highlights future research opportunities, such as the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, automation, and blockchain in supporting the global expansion of SMEs. These findings are expected to be a strategic reference in designing sustainable internationalization policies in the digital era.

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are one of the sectors that have an important role in supporting Indonesia's national economy. Its contribution is enormous to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP), job creation, and increased innovation, especially in the face of global economic challenges and social inequality. This research aims to examine in depth the role of MSMEs in encouraging Indonesia's economic growth and identify various challenges faced by this sector. The method used in this study is library research, by analyzing various sources of scientific literature, policy reports, and relevant empirical data related to the role of MSMEs. The results of the study show that MSMEs not only contribute to increasing national GDP, but also become the main driving force in providing jobs for the community, especially in rural and suburban areas. In addition, MSMEs are also an important means in the development of local innovation, especially in the use of simple technology that is in accordance with community conditions. However, MSMEs also face a number of serious challenges that can hinder their contribution to economic growth. These challenges include limited access to digital payment systems, low quality of human resources (HR), weak marketing networks, and limited capital and technology. Thus, to increase the role of MSMEs in national economic development, synergy is needed between the government, the private sector, and financial institutions in providing comprehensive and sustainable support. The support includes training on human resource capacity building, access to capital, digital transformation, and strengthening the business ecosystem. This research is expected to contribute to the development of policies that favor the empowerment of MSMEs in Indonesia.

Digitalization has become the driving force behind transformation in the logistics sector, particularly at seaports, which serve as key nodes in the global supply chain. Indonesian ports face persistent challenges such as high logistics costs and long vessel turnaround times. By implementing digital technologies such as the Port Community System (PCS), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Blockchain, ports can enhance operational efficiency, accelerate service processes, and improve transparency and accountability. Digital systems also enable real-time integration among stakeholders, contributing to faster cargo flow and reduced national logistics costs. However, the implementation of digitalization is not without significant barriers, including limited information and communication technology (ICT) infrastructure, low digital competencies among the workforce, and high initial investment costs. Furthermore, ports face organizational cultural resistance to change and cybersecurity risks that threaten operational continuity. Smaller ports in developing countries often struggle to adopt these technologies independently due to budget constraints. To overcome these challenges, synergy between the government, port operators, and technology providers is essential. Programs such as the National Logistic Ecosystem (NLE) represent a strategic step to accelerate sustainable digital adoption. With a holistic approach encompassing technology, human resources, and business processes, digitalization can become a key catalyst in enhancing the competitiveness of Indonesian ports on a global scale.

This study comprehensively examines the impact of social media on the formation and intensification of collective trauma in the Middle East through a digital meta-analytical approach synthesizing 47 empirical studies, encompassing a total of 31,842 participants, published between 2015 and 2024. The results reveal a strong and statistically significant correlation between the intensity of social media use and levels of collective trauma, with a correlation coefficient of r = 0.67 and a p-value of < 0.001, indicating a consistent and substantive relationship. Furthermore, regression analysis indicates that exposure to violent content through social media accounts for 43.2 percent of the variance in communal post-traumatic stress symptoms, affirming the role of digital media as a significant catalyst in amplifying collective psychological responses to conflict in the Middle East. Daily social media use exceeding five hours was found to significantly increase the risk of experiencing collective trauma by 2.8 times, with an odds ratio of 2.84 and a 95 percent confidence interval ranging from 2.31 to 3.49. Platforms such as Facebook and Twitter demonstrated a more substantial influence in widely disseminating traumatic experiences, with a beta coefficient of 0.58, compared to Instagram, which had a relatively lower influence with a beta value of 0.34, indicating that the structural and technological logic of each platform mediates the psychological transmission effect. Thematic analysis across studies revealed three primary mechanisms through which trauma is transmitted via social media: first, the amplification of traumatic narratives, accounting for 41.3 percent of identified patterns; second, the normalization of violence at 32.7 percent; and third, the reinforcement of collective identity based on shared traumatic experiences at 26.0 percent, thereby creating a digital ecosystem prone to the social accumulation of negative emotional states. These findings substantially expand the scope of prior research, such as that conducted by Atallah in 2017 and Nasciutti and Rahbari-Jawoko in 2021, which focused more narrowly on individual trauma, by highlighting a broader collective dimension and emphasizing the specific roles of various digital platforms in reinforcing these psychosocial dynamics. This study also identifies a novel pattern of both theoretical and practical significance, namely that algorithmic content recommendation contributes significantly to the formation of closed psychological echo chambers of trauma, intensifying exposure to traumatic content and deepening the affective impact of Middle Eastern conflict within digital spaces, with a significance level of p < 0.001. Accordingly, these findings underscore the urgent need for strategically designed and contextually grounded digital interventions to mitigate the burden of collective trauma in communities affected by protracted armed conflict in the Middle East.

The rapid expansion of fintech lending services, particularly cross-border peer-to-peer (P2P) lending, has created significant legal challenges concerning consumer protection. This study examines whether existing legal frameworks adequately safeguard consumer rights within the borderless digital lending environment. Utilizing a normative-juridical method combined with a comparative approach, the research analyzes Indonesia’s regulatory structure alongside selected international frameworks. The findings reveal substantial gaps in consumer protection, exacerbated by the proliferation of illegal online lending platforms, regulatory fragmentation across jurisdictions, and the misuse of personal data. National regulations often prove insufficient to address complex cross-border legal issues. This study underscores the urgency of global regulatory harmonization, enhanced national oversight mechanisms, and improved digital literacy among consumers. It concludes with recommendations for regulatory reform, the establishment of international supervisory cooperation, and the strengthening of institutional roles, particularly by financial and communication authorities, to ensure robust consumer protection in the evolving fintech lending ecosystem.

The rapid development of technology and social media has given rise to new trends in marketing strategies, one of which is the use of Influencers as promotional media. Influencers are often utilized as intermediaries between brands and consumers due to their perceived ability to shape public opinion and influence purchasing decisions. However, various ethical issues have emerged in advertising practices involving Influencers, particularly concerning transparency, honesty, and social responsibility. Many Influencers promote products without disclosing that the content is paid advertising. Such practices can mislead consumers and damage the reputations of both the Influencer and the associated brand. Another critical issue is the promotion of products that do not align with the Influencer’s personal values, as well as the lack of protection for vulnerable groups, such as children. Therefore, the implementation of strict and comprehensive advertising ethics is essential. This study highlights the importance of digital ethics education for Influencers, the enforcement of clear regulations, and the active role of social media platforms in labeling sponsored content, in order to establish a healthy and responsible digital advertising ecosystem.

The Nganjuk Regency Government shows a commitment to strengthen the capacity of MSME actors through activities such as digital training. However, the challenges of digital transformation demand a more adaptive strategy. The omah away program is present as a regional innovation in accelerating the digitalization of MSMEs, in line with the national vision towards the smart economy and digital transformation targets announced in the RPJMN. Based on the theory of Dynamic Governance with 3 variables such as Thinking Ahead, Thinking Again, and Thinking Across, this omah away program offers digital training, business legality facilitation, and marketing through digital platforms. This study highlights how the away house becomes an integrative model that not only provides technical training, but also builds a collaborative ecosystem between the government, business actors, the private sector, communities, education and society. Despite the impact on increasing the participation of digital MSMEs and reducing the unemployment rate, obstacles such as low business legality and online marketing effectiveness are still found. Therefore, critical reflection and cross-actor collaboration are key to the sustainability of the program. These findings strengthen the relevance of Dynamic Governance theory in the context of local-based digital transformation, as well as support efforts to achieve smart economy in areas with growing potential such as Nganjuk Regency.
