Misconceptions on the topic of waves are a systemic problem in high school physics learning that requires a comprehensive diagnostic instrument. Conventional diagnostic instruments up to the four-tier generation have limitations in revealing the conceptual structure behind students' thinking errors. This study aims to develop a five-tier multi-representation diagnostic instrument on the topic of waves using the 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). The main innovation of this instrument lies in the integration of multi-representations (verbal, pictures, graphics, mathematical) in Tier 1 and the addition of a paraphrase tier (Tier 5) that asks students to rewrite their understanding in their own words. The development process includes needs analysis, designing a grid of 16 questions, validation by two experts, and a limited trial on 34 grade XI students of SMAN 13 Kota Jambi. The results of expert validation showed an average percentage of 91.25% (Very Good) from both validators. Content validity was met with a percentage of False Positive (FP) of 6.80% and False Negative (FN) of 4.41%, both below the 10% threshold. Construct validity was confirmed through a significant Product Moment correlation (r = 0.342–0.348; sig. < 0.05) and factor analysis with six significant factors (eigenvalue > 1). The instrument's reliability was high, with a Cronbach's Alpha of 0.726. This instrument is expected to help physics teachers diagnose students' misconceptions more precisely and thoroughly on the topic of waves.

This study investigates the effect of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) disclosure and political connection on corporate tax avoidance among mining companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the period 2020–2024. As CSR practices increasingly shape stakeholder expectations, questions arise as to whether such disclosures genuinely reflect ethical corporate behavior or are strategically employed to legitimize tax planning. In addition to CSR disclosure, political connection is examined as an external institutional factor that may influence firms’ tax behavior by reducing regulatory scrutiny and enforcement risk. CSR disclosure is measured using the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) index, while tax avoidance is proxied by the Effective Tax Rate (ETR). Additionally, political connection is identified based on the presence of politically affiliated individuals in the firms’ board list. This study adopts a quantitative approach employing panel data linear regression analysis. The research population consists of mining companies consistently listed on the IDX during the observation period, with samples selected through purposive sampling, having 41 mining companies in total. This study aiming to contribute to academic discourse and practical implications for policymakers, investors, and regulators. The findings found that there are no significant effect between CSR disclosure and political connection on tax avoidance. The results of this study concluded that there are many factors both from internal and external that could affect tax avoidance activity in Indonesia’s mining companies yet was not covered in this study.

Tinea favosa is a rare but destructive form of chronic dermatophytosis fungal infection. It is marked by the development of scutules (yellowish, cup-like crusts) and can lead to permanent cicatricial alopecia if not treated appropriately. Although its prevalence is decreasing globally, sporadic cases are still common in areas with poor sanitation. Trichophyton schoenleinii is the primary medical cause of Tinea favosa, but it can also be caused by Trichophyton violaceum or Microsporum gypseum. This report discusses a case involving a 7-year-old boy who exhibited classic clinical signs of favus. Diagnostic procedures included a physical examination, direct microscopic examination with 10-20% KOH solution, and culture on Sabouraud Dextrose Agar (SDA) to identify the fungal species. Microscopic examination revealed branching and fragmented hyphae (arthrospores) and air tunnels within the hair shaft. Culture confirmed Trichophyton schoenleinii as the primary etiologic agent. The patient was treated with oral griseofulvin combined with ketoconazole cream for 8–12 weeks. Follow-up showed resolution of the crusts and cessation of the inflammatory process, although areas of fibrosis showed permanent hair loss.

This study aims to examine the gastronomy of the traditional culinary dish Ayam Napinadar as part of Batak cultural identity, covering aspects of history, ingredients, processing techniques, cultural values, and preservation challenges. The background of this research is based on the importance of maintaining the sustainability of traditional cuisine amid modernization and changes in consumption patterns. The method used is a qualitative approach through in-depth interviews with three informants, namely an MSME (Micro, Small, and Medium Eterprises) practitioner, a traditional leader, and a consumer. The results show that Ayam Napinadar has a unique characteristic in the use of andaliman and blood (gota) as its distinctive flavor. Traditionally, the cooking process involves grilling over firewood to produce a characteristic smoky aroma, although it has now shifted to more practical methods without altering the original recipe. From a cultural perspective, Ayam Napinadar holds symbolic meaning as an expression of prayers, blessings, and joy in various Batak traditional ceremonies. However, there are challenges in its preservation, such as the declining participation of younger generations in traditional activities and the increasing influence of modern foods. In conclusion, Ayam Napinadar functions not only as food but also as a medium for preserving cultural values and ethnic identity. This study provides benefits as a basis for developing gastronomic tourism and strategies for preserving traditional cuisine through education, collaboration, and the use of modern promotional media.

This study was conducted at PT. Asmin Bara Bronang, Sepan Uring Village, Kapuas Tengah District, Kapuas Regency, Central Kalimantan Province, with the aim of analyzing the productivity and influencing factors of the PC 300 excavator in coal getting activities to support the achievement of production targets. The objective of this research is to analyze the actual productivity and the factors affecting it in Sector 7 coal getting operations. The research method used field observation with a quantitative descriptive analysis approach. The results show that the productivity of the PC 300 excavator ranges from 127.12 to 224.29 tons/hour, with an average of 173.98 tons/hour. In several conditions, the productivity is still below the company’s target of 180 tons/hour. The analysis indicates that productivity is influenced by material conditions, particularly the Hardgrove Grindability Index (HGI) value of 47, which reflects relatively harder material with coarser particle size, and a moisture content of 22.71%, causing the material to be sticky and cohesive, thereby affecting the bucket filling process. In addition, operational factors such as bottom loading patterns, limited number of tailgate dump trucks, and suboptimal selection of dump truck types also contribute to productivity performance.  Based on the findings, it can be concluded that the productivity of the PC 300 excavator has not consistently met the company’s target. Therefore, improvement efforts are required, including the implementation of top loading methods, increasing the number of tailgate dump trucks, optimizing the selection of hauling equipment, and controlling material conditions that affect the digging process.

This study aims to explore the role of pet attachment among cat owners in Palembang, focusing on how emotional bonds are formed, interpreted, and influence psychological well-being. A qualitative approach was employed using purposive sampling to select two main participants who had high interaction intensity with their cats, along with additional informants from family members and neighbors. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation, then analyzed thematically with source triangulation to ensure validity. The findings reveal that pet attachment develops through daily interactions such as feeding, cleaning, playing, and monitoring the cat’s health. Cats are perceived not only as domestic animals but also as companions that provide psychological comfort, emotional support, and stress reduction. Factors shaping attachment include emotional needs, intensity of daily interaction, empathy toward the pet’s condition, long-term caregiving commitment, and the perception of cats as significant companions. The duration of ownership strengthens attachment quality, while the loss of a pet triggers profound grief comparable to losing a family member. Moreover, pet attachment influences family dynamics and social identity, portraying owners as caring and empathetic individuals. In conclusion, pet attachment among cat owners in Palembang is a complex psychological phenomenon involving emotional, social, and behavioral dimensions. The relationship between humans and cats extends beyond utilitarian functions, evolving into deep affective bonds that serve as coping mechanisms and psychosocial support in urban life. These findings enrich the literature on human-animal relationships and highlight the therapeutic and emotional value of pets in modern society.

The exponential growth of digital music catalogs on streaming platforms such as Spotify has made personalized recommendation systems crucial for enhancing user experience. This study develops a hybrid music recommendation system that addresses both warm-user and cold-user scenarios by combining Alternating Least Squares (ALS) collaborative filtering with content-based filtering (CBF) augmented by a popularity component. The dataset consists of 8,549,544 user-track interactions and a master file of 1,204,025 tracks with ten audio features. After preprocessing, users were segmented into 14,880 warm users and 723 cold users based on a five-interaction threshold. The ALS model was trained on the user-item implicit feedback matrix and tuned through grid search over factors, alpha, and regularization. CBF was implemented using cosine similarity on normalized audio features, while popularity scores were applied for new users with insufficient history. Evaluation used Precision@10, Recall@10, and NDCG@10. The final ALS configuration achieved NDCG@10 of 0.1116, representing a 30% improvement over baseline, while the hybrid CBF improved NDCG@10 for cold users from 0.0070 to 0.0201. Findings indicate that adaptive routing among ALS, CBF, and popularity reliably handles different user states, providing a practical foundation for production-grade music recommendation systems.

Sectio caesarea is a common surgical procedure to deliver a baby when normal delivery is not possible or risky. Postoperatively, patients often experience acute pain that can interfere with the recovery process. The benson relaxation technique is a nonpharmacological method that has been shown to be effective in reducing pain through a relaxation and patient confidence approach. This study uses a case study approach on Mrs. T, a post-sectio caesarea patient at Harapan Bunda Hospital, Batam City. Nursing care is carried out comprehensively for three days, including assessment, diagnosis, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. The main intervention was the administration of benzone relaxation techniques for 10–15 minutes every day. After three days of applying the Benson relaxation technique, Mrs. T's pain intensity decreased from a scale of 6 (moderate pain) to a scale of 2 (mild pain). Patients show increased comfort, ability to be active, and decreased expressions of pain such as grimacing. These results support previous findings that benzon relaxation is effective as a nonpharmacological therapy in reducing postoperative pain. This technique can be a safe and easy-to-apply alternative in nursing practice, especially for post-sectio caesarean patients.

separating and shredding organic and inorganic waste. This study aims to analyze the process of shredding household waste using the Computational Fluid Dynamics–Discrete Element Method (CFD-DEM) and determine the optimal operational parameters based on variations in rotor speed. The research method uses numerical simulation with SolidWorks 2024 software for geometric modeling and Ansys Rocky 2023 R1 for CFD-DEM simulation. The rotor speed variations used are 1000 RPM, 2500 RPM, and 4000 RPM with a mass flow rate of 4 tons/hour and a simulation duration of 2 seconds. The parameters analyzed included particle mass flow rate, shredding characteristics, and power consumption. The simulation results showed that a speed of 1000 RPM produced the most optimal performance with a maximum capacity of ±4 tons/hour and a stable shredding response compared to other variations. At 2500 RPM, there were high fluctuations with low capacity (±0.6 tons/hour), while at 4000 RPM, the capacity was moderate (±1.1 tons/hour) but still did not exceed the performance of 1000 RPM. Based on these results, it can be concluded that a rotor speed parameter of 1000 RPM is the most effective condition for improving the grinding efficiency and production capacity of a hammer mill-type Depackaging machine based on CFD-DEM simulation.

The elderly population in Indonesia, particularly in Surabaya, has been growing significantly, making the need for facilities serving the elderly increasingly urgent. Elderly rehabilitation services must be provided holistically, covering four main aspects: social, health, psychological, and spiritual. However, the implementation of holistic services in some nursing homes still shows differences in quality and has not fully met the expected standards. This study aims to analyze and compare holistic services in two nursing homes, namely Griya Lansia Husnul Khatimah in Malang and UPTD Griya Wreda Jambangan in Surabaya. The method used in this study is descriptive-qualitative comparison, with a field observation approach and a literature review to establish assessment criteria based on the four aspects of holistic services. The research results show that both nursing homes analyzed have shortcomings in the social and psychological service aspects. This indicates a gap in the quality of services received by the elderly in both homes, which needs attention to ensure that holistic services can be applied more effectively and in line with the established standards. This study is expected to provide recommendations for improving the quality of services in nursing homes in Indonesia.

The issue of uninhabitable houses still requires an accurate identification mechanism because the manual data collection process has the potential to be time-consuming, costly, and subject to subjectivity in determining aid priorities. This study aims to develop a classification model to identify habitable and uninhabitable houses based on family socioeconomic data using the Random Forest algorithm. The research method includes data preprocessing, data division using stratified split in three scenarios, baseline model development, and optimization through hyperparameter tuning using GridSearchCV with 3-fold cross-validation and balanced class_weight parameters. The data used includes variables such as education type, employment status, occupation type, number of family members, and family insurance type. The test results show that the 70:30 data division scenario after tuning provides the best performance with a recall value of 0.5797 for uninhabitable houses and an F1-score of 0.4746. Feature importance analysis shows that education type and employment status are the most influential variables in the classification. The results of this study show that the model built is capable of increasing sensitivity in detecting uninhabitable houses to support more objective field survey prioritization.

This study analyzes the dynamics of "Early Marriage and Shattered School Hopes" regarding eroded psychological well-being and pawned adolescent ideals in Brebes Regency. Using a qualitative case study design, data were gathered via in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis from eight informants, processed using Miles and Huberman's interactive model. Findings reveal early marriage is not merely a social event but systemic trauma damaging psychological structures through three aspects: first, victims' psychological conditions marked by identity loss, prolonged anxiety, and "fatalistic resignation"; second, lost educational access due to interactions of "normative-cultural coercion," "institutional structural barriers," and "economic-domestic double burdens"; third, manifestations of buried ideals comprising "hindered academic grief," "identity cognitive conflict," and "internalized existential despair." The research proves education loss from early marriage destroys human potential, altering character, leaving spiritual voids, and perpetuating intergenerational poverty cycles, thus urgently demanding holistic interventions including psychosocial rehabilitation and alternative education pathways. This study's main contribution is introducing the "systemic trauma" concept that actively extinguishes adolescents' existential hopes, filling literature gaps by providing a detailed psychological map to formulate recovery policies previously neglected in early marriage prevention discussions.
