This study aims to determine the appropriate choice of Fiqh learning media for eighth-grade students at MTs Manbail Futuh Jenu. The background of this study is the low ability of students to remember Fiqh material due to the dominant use of lectures and textbooks. The method used in this study was descriptive qualitative, with data collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The research findings indicate that the majority of students prefer audio-visual, visual, and interactive learning media such as videos, animations, illustrative images, flashcards, and educational games. The use of these media facilitates students' understanding and retention of practical Fiqh material, such as ablution, tayammum, and prayer. Conversely, the use of lectures without engaging media quickly causes students to become bored and struggle to retain the material. This study concludes that selecting learning media that aligns with students' preferences can improve their memory and comprehension of Fiqh material.

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning methods are strategies used by teachers to effectively convey Islamic teachings so that they are easily understood, internalized, and practiced by students. The application of appropriate methods can create a more engaging, active, and meaningful learning process, enabling students not only to acquire knowledge but also to develop Islamic attitudes and personalities. In the context of modern education, PAI learning needs to integrate a variety of approaches, ranging from lectures, discussions, demonstrations, to hands-on, experiential learning. Furthermore, learning environments such as museums, mosques, monuments, and open spaces can be utilized as resources and supporting learning media, even if these places are not specifically designed for teaching and learning activities. Utilizing these environments provides real-life experiences that help students understand Islamic values contextually. Thus, PAI learning methods play a crucial role in realizing a holistic, comprehensive educational process oriented toward the formation of Islamic character.

This study aims to compare student learning outcomes between digital media-based learning and conventional methods. The research subjects consisted of two classes: Class VIII E as the control class, which learned through lectures, dictation, and summarizing, and Class VIII F as the experimental class, which used PowerPoint, the Kahoot application, and instructional videos. The study was conducted over four meetings within four weeks. Pretests and posttests were used to measure learning improvement and analyzed using the n-gain formula. The results showed that the average n-gain score of the control class was higher than that of the experimental class. This indicates that although the experimental class used interactive digital media, the control class demonstrated better comprehension of the material, most likely due to the summarizing activity that helped students focus and internalize the content more deeply. These findings suggest that conventional methods involving active student engagement through note-taking and summarizing still have high effectiveness in learning, and the implications may serve as a consideration in designing instructional strategies suited to students' learning characteristics.

Method is the most important element in the Islamic education learning process. Because methods are among the determining factors for the success or failure of education and learning. And it would be good if the learning methods were appropriate and relevant to the needs and conditions of students in the learning process. The output in Islamic education is the confirmation that students must have the ability to understand, believe and practice Islamic teachings as a concrete result of the learning process. And to make this happen, learning methods in Islamic education must be based on primary sources, namely the Koran and the Hadith of the Prophet SAW which have been tested for validity with current developments. Islamic education learning methods that can be applied according to the perspective of the Qur'an and Hadith include: the method of bil hikmah, example, stories, ibrah or mau'izah, habituation or habituation, parables, punishment and reward, lectures, discussions or dialogue and jidal or debate, question and answer, demonstration, and practice or repetition. In essence, the Qur'an or Hadith is a solution in the process of human life that must be studied and understood in order to achieve its essence in living human nature as a servant of Allah SWT.
