This study analyzes the similarities and differences between Japanese and Indonesian compound words, with particular attention to their structural patterns and semantic characteristics. The data were collected from official news websites in Japan and Indonesia, including Asahi Shinbun and Kompas, through observation and note-taking techniques. The collected data were analyzed through the distributional method, and the contrastive analysis was conducted based on morphological theories proposed by Chaer (2015), Katamba (2018), and Kageyama (2016). The findings reveal that ten Japanese and Indonesian compound words share equivalent meanings. From a structural perspective, both languages exhibit various types of compound formations, including noun, adjective, and verb compounds. A notable structural difference is that Japanese compound words may undergo a phonological process known as rendaku. From a semantic perspective, compound words in both languages may be categorized as endocentric and exocentric. However, some compounds do not share the same idiomatic meanings, even though they are constructed from identical lexemes in each language.

The use of effective sentences in academic communication is essential, especially in essay writing that contains various legal arguments. Essays should employ proper sentence structures to clearly conver ideas and persuade readers. This study aims to analyze ineffective sentence constructions found in the Kumpulan Esai Kritis NACE Competition 2021 published on thr LK2 FHUI website as educational reading material. The research method used is descriptive qualitative and theoretical. Data collection was carried out using observation and note-taking techniques by analyzing various types of errors in the essay texts. The data collection process followed four steps: (1) data collection, (2) data analysis, (3) discussion, and (4) conculusion and recommendation. The results show that many ineffective sentences are still found in the essays, such as punctuation errors, wordiness, inappropriate use of foreign terms, improper word choices, and excessive repetition. These errors negatively impact the clarity and persuasiveness of the messages and arguments within the essays. This research is expected to contribute to improving essay writing quality and the development of more effective academic literacy.

E-Government and Digital Governance serve as crucial foundations in the transformation of public services, leveraging information and communication technology. The primary focus is to provide easy and efficient access for the community. Through innovations such as the "Jemput Bola Administrasi Kependudukan" (Administration Retrieval Initiative) within the Kalimasada program, the Surabaya city government expedites administrative processes by utilizing the Klampid New Generation (KNG) website. This research aims to optimize this innovation in the Wonorejo Rungkut sub-district of Surabaya. Standards of public service regulated by laws serve as benchmarks for enhancing service quality, covering procedures, processing time, costs, service offerings, infrastructure, and staff competencies. The research findings indicate that service procedures run smoothly, processing times are relatively fast, services are provided free of charge, service offerings include various citizenship documents, and infrastructure is adequate. This innovation reflects the integration of technology into governance, accelerating and streamlining public administration processes.

This research aims to analyze the suitability of images and the use of words and punctuation on digital media. The research method used was observation of a digital banner displaying an image of a chair with the words "UP TO 50% OFF" and an image of a meatball bowl with a discount offer of up to 50% as well as the information "Weekend Special Delicious Food Menu." The research results showed that the use of an image of a chair and the meatball bowl effectively supports the message you want to convey. The color design chosen, such as the dominance of orange on the meatball banner, gives an impression that matches the characteristics of the food offered. The use of the word "delicious" in the text "Weekend Special Delicious Food Menu" provides added value in arousing the reader's appetite. In addition, the arrow pointing to the text "Home Delivery" on the meatball banner helps convey delivery service information clearly. The "Order Now" instruction with the addition of a telephone number and website address provides clear guidance to consumers for placing an order. The use of punctuation, such as commas and periods, on the banner effectively separates the information and improves readability. Punctuation helps readers clearly understand any information presented, such as phone numbers and website addresses.
