This article explores the challenges and solutions in teaching syntax in Indonesian language education at schools. Syntax, as a crucial part of language structure, is often perceived as difficult and boring by students due to its theoretical and non-contextual delivery. Based on a literature review of scholarly journals and national books, it was found that students’ understanding of sentence structure remains low, affecting their writing and speaking skills. Teachers also face obstacles in developing effective and engaging teaching strategies. To address these issues, this article proposes several solutions, such as the use of communicative approaches, interactive learning media, and continuous professional development for teachers. It is hoped that with more contextual and practical methods, syntax learning can become more meaningful and enjoyable for students.

This study aims to identify and describe the most effective teaching strategies in improving level 3 fluent reading skills in lower grade elementary school students. Level 3 fluent reading skills include the ability to read at an appropriate speed, expressive intonation, and good comprehension of reading content. Through a descriptive qualitative approach, this study explores and analyzes various learning techniques that have been proven to support the improvement of reading fluency in early childhood. The research findings reveal that the application of explicit teaching methods, repetition in reading exercises, the use of paired reading techniques, the use of reading texts with levels of difficulty, and active involvement from parents, can synergistically encourage the development of students' reading skills significantly. This study provides important contributions both theoretically and practically, especially for educators, in designing systematic, comprehensive, and sustainable reading learning programs to improve students' literacy competencies from an early age.

This study aims to explore the influence of the family environment on children's language development, focusing on interactions between parents and children, reading habits, and emotional support in the family. The research method used was a qualitative approach with in-depth interview techniques involving parents as research subjects. The results revealed that a communicative and supportive family environment is the main basis for children in learning language. Habits such as inviting children to talk, reading books together, and providing emotional support are the main factors that influence children's language development. In the midst of the digital era, parents need to be smart in utilizing technology, by limiting the use of gadgets and prioritizing direct interaction. Consistent communication patterns and special activities such as reading together or role-playing have also proven to be very effective in supporting children's language development. Although there are challenges such as time constraints and children's interest in gadgets, parents can overcome them with creativity and patience. This study provides practical advice for parents in creating a family environment that supports children's language development.

This research aims to analyze assistance in making environmentally based handicrafts as part of the implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Program (P5) at SDN 3 Demulih. P5 is designed to build student characters who are creative, care about the environment, and are able to work together. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method, this research evaluates the effectiveness of mentoring in increasing students' creativity and awareness of environmentally friendly lifestyles. The research results show an increase in students' ability to use recycled materials to create useful products as well as increased awareness of environmental issues. This program has also succeeded in strengthening the application of Pancasila values, especially cooperation and social responsibility. Apart from improving practical skills, this activity forms students' character who cares about the environment and is oriented towards sustainability.

Anchored in a qualitative descriptive approach, the study synthesizes document analysis and cadet surveys to unravel the multifaceted dynamics shaping the educational landscape. The document analysis reveals a curriculum at STIP Jakarta that aligns commendably with international standards, supported by comprehensive lecturer training programmes. However, the nuanced cadet perspectives spotlight a need for refined emphasis on the practical application of English proficiency in real-world maritime scenarios. Cadet self-assessment underscores both confidence in academic intelligence and an identified need for additional language support, calling for targeted interventions. Exploring professional competences uncovers a disparity between technical proficiency and English Maritime communication, highlighting the importance of a holistic approach to bridge this gap. Cadet motivations vary from a genuine passion for maritime activities to the allure of lucrative career prospects and international recognition. Recognizing this diversity urges the need for personalised career guidance and mentorship programmes. The research also sheds light on English Maritime and Literacy proficiency, differentiating between basic skills and the ability to handle complex communication scenarios. Recommendations include integrating advanced language modules and tailored language support initiatives within the curriculum, ensuring a seamless development of linguistic skills alongside technical competences.
